Tried most of the menu and it’s absolutely delicious! Very nice friendly staff too. Delivered promptly. The scallop salad was one of the nicest meals I’ve ever eaten but all of the food was superb. Definitely go if you visit Falmouth

Having read lots of good reviews we booked a takeaway meal and were certainly not disappointed! The lobster roll was heavenly, the crab, cheese and chips was beautifully balanced and the fish finger butty was awesome. This is seafood heaven! We arrived slightly earlier than our booking, having whizzed round Pendennis Castle and the chef made sure we didn't have to wait too long to collect our order. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, the beer was an added bonus! The cans themselves are a work of art and we wished we'd ordered more as it was the best beer we tasted in Cornwall. Thoroughly recommend it and we will certainly be back!

In spite of Falmouth being busy all year round very few places were doing takeaway during lockdown so pleased to find something other than fish and chips. Interesting Asian style menu with set meal for 2 option. We went for the most expensive just to try.It was all unusual and delicious but a bit too much. Everything packed in cardboard boxes with wooden cutlery provided although we used our own chopsticks. Really delicious and will definitely recommend.

We ate from this restaurant whilst staying in Falmouth. Normally it would operating as a restaurant, but because of COVID is operating a take away service only. We felt this was a very good move on their part to keep everyone safe - the majority of eateries in Falmouth are not being this careful, believe me. We ordered online and picked up the food from a serving hatch; it was ready and waiting for us to pick up. We had a lovely variety of different seafood and fish dishes with the added bonus of it all being priced very reasonably. As it also owns a microbrewery we took away a couple of beers to wash it all down, watching the sunset on the quayside. A really memorable moment during the stay! We also rated the prompt, polite and friendly service. Would highly recommend for an authentic and delicious Falmouth dining experience- but watch out for those low-flying seagulls!!

... these folks would long have supplanted Rick (Pad)Stein as the champions of modern British seafood. Having transitioned from eat in to take away and local delivery seems to have done their creative impulses and quality control no harm. We phoned an order ahead, which was ready on time, beautifully and sustainably packed to take away. The website, on which you can also order, is pretty slick too. Four of the freshest Verdant beers came direct from the fridge with a recyclable holder/carry handle. We ate, in no particular order, delicate breaded squid with siracha mayo, a fish-finger butty with pickled cucumber, barbecued mackerel fillet on a bed of kimchi, fish tacos with excellent pickled veg, and an indulgent brioche lobster roll topped with shoestring fries. Dessert was a dark obelisk of thick chocolate somewhere between the point where a mousse ends and a ganache starts, with home made honeycomb and fresh raspberries. Everything was amazing. Everything was fresh. Everything was imaginative and homely and sustaining and wonderful. Service is informed and friendly. Everything we ate, including a dessert each and four beers, was £50. Put down whatever you’re doing and go. Thank me later.

The restaurant is only open for take-away at the moment but communication was great and the order was easy. We went on a Saturday and we were a bit dissapointed that a busy week meant all the IPAs and DIPAs had sold out. We did order some of their Pilsners, i'm not usually a lager fan but the New Zealand Pilsner was the best ive had. The seafood was delicious and perfect to be shared sitting on the harbour wall. We ordered the loaded crab chips, lobster rolls and a portion of crispy squid, all was delicious.

Verdant are one of the best craft breweries in the country, so a visit here was essential. It's not a large venue and is accessed via some downwards steps. Simple decor inside and seating for about 30. The food looked good, though maybe not ideal for those looking for a big plate. There is wine available, but no spirits. But for me it was all about the beer, there were 8 on draft. Mostly pales, IPA's and Double IPA's. As expected all that were sampled were delicious.

We fell into this diminutive beer and seafood place when escaping the hail (!) in Falmouth. The owners describe it as a ‘taproom’ to showcase the range of beers from their brewery, but while they’re at it they turn out some wonderful tapas-sized seafood dishes. Nothing is frozen and the flavours are excellent. The design has a hint of industrial chic; seating is on cushioned benches or stools, around rustic tables. The gentleman behind the bar was very charming and not at all disdainful of older customers (ie late sixties and 70.) We got chatting to a couple of other (younger) couples and it was all very convivial. They were all sampling the beers, but my husband and I had the dry white wine which was very enjoyable. To eat, we had crab toast, mussels, scallops and salt-and-pepper squid, then we both had a little rhubarb trifle for pudding. All in all, a very pleasant experience.TIP: the steps down to the bar are pretty steep and would not be suitable for anyone with disabilities.

Wandering around the slipways of Falmouth I noticed a small door with a menu on it. I didn’t go that night, but the next night I ventured through the door and found a small and buzzing underground bar. I perched on a small table being on my own but was made to feel very welcome by the staff in warm Cornish accents. I sampled one of their brews, a pale ale, as well as receiving a taster of a bubbly type of cuvee which was very dry. I wish I could remember the name of the grapes which started with L and ended with C. Oh dear, I have forgotten! Whatever it was, it was very interesting with light bubbles and a lemony and tart flavour. I then ordered two small plates, one with crab on tiny little bits of toast with cucumber which was absolutely and delicately delicious. I also had the deep-fried haddock croquettes with ginger on a crispy gem lettuce leaves. Both the small plates showcased the local seafood brilliantly and were enough for me. They were each about 6 or 7 pounds which I thought was pretty good value for the quality. The place filled quickly so go early or go on a weeknight.

We came across this restaurant by chance down a side street towards the harbour. It can be easy to overlook it. A nice cosy ambiance, and friendly owner helped make this a dining experience we will repeat next time we are in Falmouth.

Don't go here if you want prawn cocktail or scampi and chips! This little ( seats 20 or so) gem of a restaurant, tucked away underneath a thai(?) eateries is a real find. Crab salad was exactly that, a crab, the freshest ever, nasty bits removed, plus hammer to dissect, with homegrown tasty lettuce and tomatoes, completely simple and delicious, likewise all the fish ( it is a fish restaurant!), simply prepared and absolutely delicious. Sardines, crab soup, hake, all "proper": don't go if you aren't prepared to deal with a whole fish! Home made puddings and service with a smile, a delightful place, mostly couples and pretty intimate, no rowdy parties obviously, just food lovingly and freshly prepared.

Discovered The Seafood Bar last time we were in Cornwall, 5 years ago. It was the food highlight of that holiday so back in Cornwall again we had to go back and find it. Great evening, delicious food, including home made lemon merengue ice cream! Lovely atmosphere, full of character. Will be back again.

Now I am a fan of fresh whole crab, just as it is chilled with lemon and mayo, not difficult to find in Cornwall you would think but having looked everywhere it seems not quite that easy. So when today in Falmouth we happened to come across a tiny doorway down a side street that advertised fish of all varieties including whole cracked crab we were so happy, ww waited until opening time and booked. The Seafood bar is small but cosy and welcoming. The owner is lovely, attentive but not pushy and adapts to whatever you want. This place is worth a trip it's reasonably priced and you can tell the fish is fresh, you can taste the sea. Amazing we'll be back. I would suggest you book because as it comes into the sunset season I would imagine it gets busy.

You need to look carefully to find this excellent little restaurant, tucked away towards the harbour off the main shopping street. But if you like fish this is the place to go. A good choice of starters and main meals, all cooked to order and with friendly and efficient service and reasonably priced too, we couldn't fault either quantity or quality. Crab and lobster also available but don't go if you want meat!

I can honestly say the food is exceptional and the service is very friendly and warming! It's a little place but it adds to character and the decor is so intriguing! The seafood platter is fantastic and i make sure i ring up to order one before hand so i don't miss out! All the sea food is so fresh and good quality. i can't wait to be back
