Was delighted to see Pornstar Martini on draft here! It was a tad too vanilla for my taste but good. Bar staff were great. Wait staff were accommodating when we asked to delay our table by 30 mins to finish drinks. We enjoyed lamb shank & creamy Parmesan steak pasta specials & fish & chips. Tasty food. Reasonably priced & good sauv blanc. The only reason it’s not 5* is that service wasn’t quite as attentive as it should have been & the wine glasses were all badly water marked which just made them look grubby. Overall very good & would return if I am in the area

Four couples booked in to the Salmon for an evening meal. The ambiance of the place is great, we were in the small room off the lounge, perfect !!!

The Cobbles - Freehouse & Dining

15/04/2019: The Cobbles is a smart place and, as far as beer is concerned, they stock a good range of artisan beers as well as traditional lagers etc. The service is friendly and very professional and this is clearly a place where you can enjoy a quiet beer.
12/02/2019: A group of us visited for a celebratory meal on a Sunday evening. It was quite quiet when we arrived but got really busy later. Best to book in advance.

Night Safe Bistro

24/06/2019: We were tired and hungry after a five hour drive but this former bank revitalised us. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. We ate from the £15 early bird menu which was very good value for money. I had wild mushroom and tarragon soup with tomato bread and hubby had smoked haddock fish cakes. The portions were enormous and the only niggle we had overall was that there was too much food! Mains were fish risotto and salmon with shrimp butter. Delicious. Alas, no room for desserts. The Terry’s chocolate orange cheesecake special looked divine. Next time,eh?
17/03/2019: Was in here early on a Friday night for the early bird menu and was stuffed to the brim. Great value menu which was fantastic for choice and at a very reasonable price. Will be back again soon.
