Fantastic pie, veg a bit too undercooked for my liking.

We called here at 2.40 . Told food was stopping for an hour but if we weee happy to wait would start again at 4 but could order at 3.45 . We did do . Very cold in here . Run down . When food came at 4.40 unfortunately it wasn’t worth the wait . Burger was dry overcooked. I had Mac & cheese it was very dry with so called garlic bread hard and overcooked . Not good I’m afraid snd not cheap .really disappointing . Avoid

Revisit - 20/03/'24 - sticky chicken @£16.95. nice , well cooked , slightly too salty & a little under ' sticky sauced' but recommended. A good portion of food , not overly bulked out with chips. Just the right amount. Slightly stingy with only 1 segment of tomato per salad serving ( we had 3 orders/ portions of this). Staff friendly, accomodating & polite. Nice beer. The booth/cubical seats need cleaning properly though, I found 2 crayons , skiploads of massive food particles & a small Guatemalan immigrant convoy complete with suitcases in the chair 'seams' as I swept it clean, á la Niles Crane from Frasier, before sitting down last night - seriously the seats really were a bit of a disgrace/letdown for the place. Clean toilets though, if that helps. + Plenty of parking. 10/07/'23. Sirloin steak + Scampi & Sticky Chicken with Cajun fries Free dessert on a Monday👍. Steak good size, but seemed anemic ordered med. Rare - came just under well done inside , outside seemed poached ! Scampi was not drained of oil , so left oil pool.on plate & tasted of ..well,.. hot oil ! Not recommended. Sticky chicken was really nice. Good portion & tasty. Update 30/06/22 - revisit - pizzas x 2 "anitpasta" & "carne de montagne". Just tasteless - very bland . No seasoning, far too much cheese, swimming in bland tomato sauce, very little topping . Not worth the money even at £12 for 2. Hanging chicken kebab good portion - alas chicken smelt of ashtrays and was inedible . Not recommended. Steak Wednesday ... Food terrific. Good quality. More than enough for the healthiest of apptites. Staff,friendly professional. Nothing too much trouble. Clean inside ,& out. & Immaculate Toilet area.

Fish and chip Friday has made a comeback! We do love Fridays at the rustics!

Beautiful place just a shame about the bathrooms. Always dirty. Slightly over priced but went for a bottomless brunch the last time which was great value. Very good variety of meals and drinks to choose from. Staff are very friendly.

Food was lovely, as we're staff. However, they'd had a busy Saturday and ran out of three consecutive choices I made from the menu. It would have been sensible if staff would have let our table know this when handing out the menus, rather than wait for our orders and then declare limitations. As I say, food was enjoyed by all.

Lovely old fashioned pub, excellent seating areas. Great service and really good selection of menu choices, different specials available on different days during the week. Highly recommend

Quite possibly the worst visit I've had here poor from start to finish struggling to see any positives to be honest. Really shocked the special a burger sold out at 6pm, multiple drinks off at the bar and inept staff on the bar who can't take an order and the cherry on top whilst the team member is checking with chef (term used loosely) the other server came to ask if the food was OK. No it wasn't the pizza was wrong the chips wrong the xl fish just 4 coats of batter that couldn't be broken and to top it off the chicken goujons couldn't even be cut

Food was cold and disgusting when it came out didn't expect to get three little dits of chicken in a gyros not worth the money they charge will definitely not be going back over all waisted of money

3 weeks ago NEW We have been coming to the rusticas as a family for about 2 years now. We did love fish and chips Friday until today. Recently the quality and size of the fish has litrally halved while the price has increased! The price of moretti has also increased to £5.45! Unfortunately this may be our last vist for a while now as its simply overpriced, especially with the reduction in quality. We previously recommended the rustics to friends and family but as of late we can no longer recommend. On a positive, the staff are always very welcoming and very helpful, ten out of ten for service.

Absolutely disappointed went for a birthday meal party of 12 starters were lovely came out hot then 90 minute wait for mains that came luke warm and looked like a dogs dinner served in a bowl steak was like rubber burnt chicken fish like sawdust overall not a very nice meal only good thing to say was staff were very lovely

Went for a bottomless brunch with friends. The cocktails were lovely. We was all quite amazed with the portion size meals we got. We had waitress Kayleigh, she was very attentive always made sure we was topped up with drinks. Highly recommend the bottomless brunch.

Fantastic food amazing staff a credit to there owner do the upmost to make a happy customer and very friendly we are now hear regular again keep up the good work girls always a friendly smile and greeting

Food undercooked and sent back. Came out again undercooked. Issue was raised with management to which they replied that they could not do anything. Very overpriced on some items and sauces are bland and tasteless. Chips were OK but it's hard to mess up simple items. Chicken tasted like it wasn't fresh, perhaps frozen. Would not recommend. Toilet facilities were not hygienic.

Great country pub run by an amazing LGBTQ+ couple which operate with a friendly team. Great drinks, great prices and great service. Highly recommended

Shocking meal, took to a table, wasn't told to order at the bar. Weren't told about specials ( had fish and chips on ) Steak pie was absolutely horrendous, flavoured with puddle water it seems ( chips were good though) Sticky chicken is just frozen southern fried pieces with BBQ sauce. Shocking! Left most of it and left after 40 mins Nice pint though

Came for a family meal service was good and food all came out together However the food was very disappointing and expensive for what you got The steak and ale pie was terrible the meat was clearly leftover roast in a pot of gravy with a puff pie crust tasted like it had never seen any ale Other food was just as disappointing pretty much on par with Wetherspoons but twice the price try if you want but bet you won’t come back shame as rustic used to be a good place to eat

Nice pub, great for a call in point on a dog walk. Decorated great for Xmas. Lunch was quick and simple, both enjoyed our sandwiches and refuelled to carry on our walk. Highly recommend

The place itself looks really nice and has good atmosphere. However the food is really mediocre & expensive for what you get. Tonight we got the burgers and I can confidently say they were the tiniest patties I've ever seen and for £16 it was a robbery. Straight out the freezer by looks of them. I think they overcharged us as well as no idea how 2 burgers, 1 starter and 2 drinks came to £52. Won't be back 👎🏼

Total shambles, pre booked birthday celebration deposit paid, time booked, meals pre ordered No one else in the place , still had to wait over an hour for our food . Disgusting food , over cooked , those that ordered chunky chips were told , mash or fries, no chips, only been booked a week ! Mash advertised as " creamy " had no butter let alone cream. I could go on....do yourself a favour avoid this place like the plague !!!

We had a Sunday carvery today with my family and it was the best I have had and the cheapest, I would recommend this to anyone.

Cold parsnips, lumpy mash and beef was chewy. Then had to wait over 30 mins for desert, which we only got after chasing it up. It then came with half the toffee waffle ingredients missing and the raspberry ripple cake was so dry we couldn't eat it. Also temperature was ridiculous ppl everywhere fanning themselves as it was uncomfortably warm

Very poor, ordered before hand as there was a party of 14 only our party there yet we still waited an hr for food, steak was like cardboard, burnt burgers, warm and wilted salad, no coleslaw that was supposed to be part of meal, my side didn't come while 10 mins after meal, mash was dry and never seen butter, no gravy with pie and mash, dry chicken.. tried to order deserts 3 times to kept being told sorry don't have that.. also it was freezing inside had to keep my coat on..

We waited 2 hours to be served at best mediocre convenience food. Soggy at least 3 day old salad added insult to injury. Lumpy mash which was sent back and STILL came back lumpy. Pretty appalling really.

Wow what a wonderful place we where both blown away with The Rustic Arms Ackworth The staff where really polite and professional and couldn’t do enough for us My partner ordered the bourbon burger which was amazing very tasty we are normally put off by burgers in pubs because they are normally greasy but this one was full of different flavours I had the chicken gyros which was amazing too we ended up sharing our meals The pub as a great atmosphere and the deco is to a very high standard we will be back in the near future

Took the family for the firework display and it was brilliant. Amazing display. Great mix of entertainment. Good selection of food and drinks available. A really enjoyable experience.

Around the area there are plenty of places to go for a Sunday dinner! We have always been to places like The Cobbler or Toby Carvery but…I can hands down say that The Rustic Arms make the best carvery! I am a gammon lover and you can find at certain places the meat can be very fatty but at The Rustic Arms the meat literally melts in your mouth! There is plenty of food and no super long queue which is great! I even stayed for a dessert! I chose the rainbow cake that they did and it was delicious! Thank you and we will be back soon!

Beautiful pub! Unfortunately we expected the food to be superb, but it was only average for a Sunday carvery.

Me and my partner came here for food last week following a visit i had made with my mother; the smash burger is extremely nice and great value for money (massive burger coming with fries salad coleslaw and option for additional onion rings) the fish and chips was also great value and is also a large portion with big wedges. really nice environment to eat in with a nice view of the lake, only minor downside was the price of a glass of coke but that’s average price for ackworth! definitely would come back as the service has always been great!

My friend & I visited today for a Sunday Dinner, the pub was very busy & we hadn’t booked. However, we were welcomed in and found a table pretty quick. All of the staff from the hosting staff, bar staff and the chef were really friendly and accommodating. The carvery was gorgeous and everything was cooked perfect. We really enjoyed it, so thank you!

Fantastic value carvery great tasty meat , and the superb steak pie, with a good selection of vegetables and tasty gravy.

Looks a nice place , food was ok at best . Both plates were missing sides that was stated in the menu came with the dishes , when pointed out the waitress said I'll go check and never came back, we'd waited that long I couldn't be bothered chasing it up , but having to wait nearly an hour and a half for two burgers on a Saturday night when the place was pretty dead spoilt it to be honest , they never said there was a long wait when we went in . Shame as I had read some good reviews , maybe they were having a bad night , who knows .

Absolutely appalling. Booked a table for 6 people, my dinner did not arrive! The rest of our party ate their meals. When mine came it was cold and dry! Customer service was disappointing. Definitely would NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

Had lunch today and will never return. My friend ordered the vegan mushroom and leek pie and I had the beef baguette. The pie was disgusting, she was unable to cut into it, the pastry was rock hard. In the bottom was a tiny layer of something that resembled mushrooms. Her mashed potatoes were a disgrace, just lumps of potato, and the vegetables ( broccoli and carrots) were mush. My beef was okay but the roll that it came in was not ,in my view a baguette. The chips were really poor quality. When the waitress came , we showed her the pie, and she asked if she could get more gravy, or did we want to speak to the manager. My friend said no as we were leaving. I don’t think any amount of gravy would have saved that pie, the meal should never have left the kitchen. It was a disgrace for £14.95. The lady who served us was very nice and polite. Avoid the food at all costs.

Great place to eat and drink. Best carvery in the area. Please update the opening times on google though. I set off walking with the dog with the intention we could both get a drink there and then head home. Google said they opened at 12 and when i got there it was shut! Very frustrating.

1000% recommend this pub, friendly staff, amazing managers ant and Jonny always make the efforts to make sure everything is perfect, pub is decorated to a high standard. Just tried their Sunday roast and it’s the best iv had so will definitely will be returning again on a Sunday. Keep up the good work guys ❤️❤️🙌
