My girlfriend and I had an exceptional stay at the Mandarin Oriental. From the moment we arrived the service was incredible. Rhea and Joe in reception were really welcoming and ensured a smooth check-in experience. Stef in guest relations gave us a lovely tour, showing us all the hotel had to offer. The breakfast team were amazing with impeccable service throughout. We had a lovely welcome from our host Milli, and then served by Daniel who provided us with a delightful start to the day. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal was an incredible experience, made even more memorable by the fantastic service from Marianna and Paul. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor really enhanced the dining experience. We capped both nights off with drinks in the Aubrey and with Mateo's attentive care, he brought our evenings to a perfect conclusion. A truely remarkable stay. 5 stars all around for the exceptional team at the Mandarin Oriental.

Sin lugar a dudas merece cada céntimo. El personal es súper atento, siempre a tu disposición intentando ayudar lo máximo posible. Disponen de una piscina bastante grande en el centro de la ciudad, solo por esto ya repetiría. Todo está impecable, limpio y cad a detalle muy cuidado. La habitación muy amplia y tienen muchos detalles con los más pequeños, las camas son muy cómodas y amplias. El desayuno muy variado. My Husband and I had afternoon tea at The Rosebery in January to celebrate my birthday. We love taking afternoon tea as a birthday treat and have been to several of the luxury hotels in London and elsewhere over the years. I can honestly say, that I think that this was the best Afternoon Tea I have ever had. We are both Vegan, and usually afternoon tea for vegans can be a bit lack lustre but this one was excellent. The flavour combinations for the sandwiches were quite traditional- but beautifully balanced and executed. My favourites were the wakame and cucumber and artichoke and olive tapenade. The scones and preserves were delicious with a very good vegan ‘clotted cream’. The star of the show were the cakes. They were next level delicious, so pretty to look at and the perfect size. We also had a pairing of sparkling tea which was a real surprise and so refreshing and delicate. We really enjoyed it. We were looked after so well by Tarek. He was so sweet and really made our experience special. Other things that made this Tea stand out: The decor and ambience is gorgeous. We requested the table next to the fireplace and this was delivered. I was very warm and comfortable all afternoon. I was given a special birthday cake (pistachio and raspberry) which was a lovely touch. All of the staff were very friendly and were happy to take photos for us. I highly recommend The Rosebery for Afternoon Tea. If you are looking for a luxurious, special experience in London, this is it!

We went here for high tea and it was FIRST CLASS. We were looking specifically for a high tea that was gluten free. Rosebery accommodated us completely and without question. My wife and I are also vegetarian and the sandwiches offered reflected that. My daughter is gluten free but not vegetarian and had specific modifications she wanted - she was accommodated promptly and without question. In all respects, the service was exceptional. The sandwiches were delicious but the real highlight was the scones and other deserts, all gluten free, all mouth wateringly good. Also the tea itself was lovely, they had a huge menu of tea from all over the world, all of which we enjoyed immensely. The only negative was it was quite expensive. Well worth it for us as a one-off, but not something affordable too regularly. Still, highly recommend - for any type of high tea, but especially if you need allergy accommodations.

We visited yesterday 12th December. A great experience from the moment we arrived at the Rosebery Room for afternoon tea. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff to make our stay comfortable and memorable. It had just been raining heavily and the reception staff took our wet coats and placed them in the cloakroom. We were seated at the bar and had cocktails while waiting for our table to be prepared. The Rosebery looked stylish and festive with a sparkling Christmas tree and bright and cheerful Christmas decorations. We soon forget about the rain outside. We were soon seated in two comfy wing chairs and the afternoon tea selection was explained in detail by staff. We ate a delicious tea. A special mention of thanks to Holly and waitresses who made us feel so welcome. We will definitely visit again.

We had a work lunch today at Rosebery. As we have had afternoon tea here for several times in the past (which was amazing by the way!), we decided to have lunch today instead. The hotel and the restaurant are looking beautiful and cozy with all the Christmas decorations. George, Ivan and their team have been amazing, so helpful and accommodating. We love the festive menu, the tea and the dim sums are gorgeous. It was light and tasty, nothing too heavy. The tea was delicious and the desserts are yummy and not too sweet. THANK YOU so much for creating another amazing and wonderful experience for us!!

Firstly the room is absolutely stunning, they have a beautiful counter with all fresh pastries and the decor is beautiful. Out coats were take. And we were shown to the table. We were given a hot towel which was a lovely touch being, and almost like a palette cleaning tea. However the tea was ice cold which I’m not sure if it was supposed to be that way. We were explained the menu and the process if the whole thing and ordered our teas which were lukewarm but very nice. We were given our sandwiches almost 50 minutes later and it was a bit awkward. I called in advance to say that we were celebrating a baby shower with my sister who is sitting there 8 months pregnant. We were given smoked salmon sandwiches, lobster rolls, pastrami which she didn’t want to eat, just in case. We ordered some more of the chicken sandwiches which were delicious. About 30 minutes later we were offered another tea and the pastries came out. They were incredibly impressive, and I would say the cheesecake was by far my favourite. The whole process of the afternoon tea was incredible slow. We were sat in the room for almost 4 hours because of how slow the service was. We kept calling different waiters to get the next ‘course’ but we didn’t know which waiter was ours as they hadn’t said their name. Anyways by the time the end of the tea came, they bought out a beautiful congratulations plate for my sister for her baby shower which was lovely. But then the worst bit came… the bill. My brother in law had contacted the hotel In advance and paid for us all as a surprise, which my mum and I were aware of. However, as we were getting our purses. The head waiter gave my sister the bill of over £300. It was supposed to be taken care of! So I went up to him and he said he had made a mistake and there was no payment needed. My sister then got incredibly upset and cried on the train that her husband spent so much money on her having a nice day out and felt incredibly guilty the whole way home. Thanks a lot mandarin oriental, day ruined.

We had a vegan afternoon tea here with a champagne flight. The staff were excellent. Some of the tables are a bit squeezed in. The food itself was the best vegan afternoon tea we have ever had, better than other five star hotels. Excellent selection of sandwiches, good vegan cream with the scones and beautiful cakes.

They tea and treats where great, service excellent. The major distraction was the woman playing the electric violin, mostly Disney songs. Very distracting and very below what you would expect at the MO in London, not very classy or refined at all and it took away from what should have been a nice relaxing experience.

The worse ever customer’s service /afternoon tea I have ever had!!! The Check:RB0055664 I have been several times for a private dinner and on different occasions at the Heston Blumenthal restaurant et Mandarin Oriental. The service and the food was always impeccable. This time I went to the Rosebery Restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental on Thursday 5th of October 2023 at 6.30 pm to meet up with my friends . I booked afternoon tea for several friends . When I booked the afternoon tea I provided my credit card details to secure the initial booking . I have notice that in the case of late cancellation or no show there is a fee of £50 . As I was not sure how many of us would want afternoon tea and how many would want just a glass of wine or cocktails etc I called to the Mandarins Oriental on Tuesday to check whether it will be a problem if some people just decided to have a glass of wine / Champaign instead of the afternoon tea . I was told that wasn’t a problem at all and cancelation charges are applicable on late cancellation or no show . As six of us were waiting for other people to arrive enjoying our drinks the manager/ barmen came to our table . I thought he was coming to greet us and ask how are we doing etc but no . He came to tell us that there is a minimum spending cup of £75 per person to make up for booking of 6 afternoon teas . There was no mention of any cap in my booking ! Nevertheless I took my time to explain that I am not aware of any spending minimum cap in the 5 star hotel and that I called to the hotel 2 days prior to verify if less than the number of people having afternoon tea will be a problem and I was told that it was absolutely no problem whatsoever, but the manager kept insisting that the total tab should be no less than 6 x75= £450 My friends could not believe what they were hearing. When I asked the barmen to call the manager, he said that he is the manager !!! He was rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. If we were not waiting for other people to arrive I would have insisted on leaving the place immediately. I told him that if there was a cap I should have been made aware which they did not therefore it’s not my problem. He left but then sent waiter to tell us the same thing. Once again Instead of finally enjoying the company of my friends I had the did pleasure of explaining the whole situation . I was told that whoever consulted me over the phone did not verify the information with the Rosebery so I had to point out again that it’s not my problem . After that the waiter came back to say that we finally CAN have what we want and there is no spending cap after all . I am still in complete shock the way we were treated there . The customer service is nonexistent. As I have never heard of a spending cap in the Ritz or Savoy therefore a several questions to the management of Mandarin Oriental 5 star hotel : Do you have a spending cap now in the restaurant belong to the Mandarin Oriental chain ? Why the spending cap was not stated : on your website ? On my confirmation email? Over the phone with the Restaurant booking team? Why the customer service is rude and unprofessional? What level of the training was provided to the managers ? Why is the level of the service so low ? I was really disappointed and upset over whole experience - it was just terrible ! I will be sending the same review to the Hotel management as well to make them aware.

High tea at The Rosebury was a fabulous experience. Our waiter, Alejandro was informative, friendly, and so personable. From the welcome complementary glass of sparkling tea all the way through to the chocolate at the end- the experience was lovely. Easy to order gluten-free sandwiches and desserts. Desserts both gluten-free and regular were little pieces of artwork but neither of us liked the taste. However, that did not deter us from having a wonderful 3 hour time.

I have been to the afternoon tea at the rosebery atleast 3 times in the last year. My brother and his wife who were visiting from New Zealand wanted to go to an afternoon tea and without hesitation I recommended the rosebery. As always we were welcomed by a lovely waiter who was patient with our requests (Dietary). All the staff are always attentive and ensuring you are constantly fed. I have been to many afternoon teas and as a vegetarian the sandwich selection has always been pretty basic/standard and nothing interesting for vegetarians. However, this is one reason why I love coming to the Rosebery! Their selection of sandwiches for vegetarians is the best! Specially the egg & truffle one! They taste great and are not the bog standard sandwiches. Oh and they dont stop them coming which is amazing! The scones and desserts are always impressive! I love that they have seasonal themes. Also love the selection of teas and really find the knowledge of the waiters impeccable as they tell us what teas goes well with sandwichs/scones & desserts. Best part is you can try as many teas as you wish. Overally my family enjoyed the experience and were not let down by my recommendation. Everytime iv been here the service has always been to a high standard and never once have I felt let down. Highly highly recommend! If they had a loyalty card I would definately be the first one there! Already cannot wait to book again.

The hosts and waiters were impeccable, accommodating, and personable. The slow cooked short rib was by far our favorite dish with the prawn dim sum and accompanying sauce coming in at a close second. The tuna tacos were lovely and delicate and the duck spring rolls had a rich taste while not being overly fatty or filling. The Korean chicken was great but not necessarily as good as the aforementioned dishes. That said, the chicken was nice, sauce tangy and there is only so much you can do with it as a dish. The burrata and avocado salad felt a bit boring and deconstructed but a burrata is always pretty enjoyable even just on its own. The chopsticks provided were a bit of an odd choice. They felt very 90's Chinese place and didn't really match the overall vibe. Plastic makes sense for cleaning and avoiding bite marks but maybe have them match the decor, the table, or the cute chopstick rest. The meal was completely let down by the desert. The passion fruit sorbert was lovely but its accompanying parfait was middling at best. The deconstructed cheesecake dish was truly terrible. Beautiful presentation for the "gram" but was all style and no substance. It lacked any semblance of flavor and my partner would have preferred just not having desert. After adoring every other dish, it really tarnished the experience to finish on such a bland note that had to be tediously consumed.

We celebrated my mum's birthday here just a few days ago. We had afternoon tea for three and it was fantastic. The sandwiches were a good variety and we were offered more, the scones were light and the jams/jelly were tasty (just ask for more clotted cream), but it was the cakes that were the highlight - they were so original and beautifully made. They were themed for Wimbledon, Ascot, Chelsea Flower Show, and the Cornonation. It's just a shame we were full by then - but they very kindly packed them into beautiful takeaway boxes for us. There were three menu pages of teas to choose from, and we tried several, all were so delicate. Finally, I also want to highlight how good the service was, staff were attentive, helpful and really friendly - one of us has a food allergy which they dealt with deftly, and they made us all feel special. I would highly recommend, we're already planning our return when the season changes and the theme is revised!

We had been given a Mandarin Oriental voucher as a present and used it for lunch here. It was a lovely experience, the menu is relatively limited and we opted for burgers! I will say this was the most expensive non-meal, meal I have ever had, but it was one of the best bonding times we had as a family during the vacation. I will admit I really did not understand what tea was before I went, and I don't totally understand now that I have done it. With that said, it is an amazing time to simply sit and enjoy a good drink and snacks, a fancy happy hour. I am not a tea drinker so we had champagne and hot chocolate. My family loved the finger sandwiches, but for me the deserts were amazing. What I did enjoy, and it was worth every pound was the time we had as a family laughing and recounting the day. It was a beautiful setting in an incredible hotel. The service was also incredible. As an American, I still don't totally get tea, but it was a great experience that we still talk about. Finally if you are going to do tea anywhere, the Mandarin Oriental is a perfect place in beautiful hotel in the heart of a fancy shopping district. In all, not cheap but a great experience.

On Sunday, my friend and I had a lunch together, and it held a special significance for us. However, our experience turned out to be quite uncomfortable. It became evident that the staff wanted us to leave as quickly as possible, perhaps to accommodate the afternoon tea guests. They continuously returned to our table every two minutes to check if we had finished our lunch, dessert, and even the two pots of tea we had ordered. Instead of repeatedly checking on us, it would have been better if they had directly asked us if we could finish up. I even considered approaching one of the waiters to inquire if there was an issue bothering them, as their behavior came across as rude. Later, I visited another 5-star hotel in London, where I was warmly welcomed with friendliness and warmth. The contrast between the two experiences was striking.

Here for my Birthday- booked for 4pm we got there 3:45 decided to have a drink while waiting - then at 4:20 we had to ask about our table! They forgot! Then we had our sandwiches fine - we requested second round of sandwiches waited 30 mins... yea was not as hot as it should be - cushions kept falling into space at rear of seat - mentioned to staff was told ' everyone says that' I've been here for afternoon tea and lunch before . I have to say the standard has gone well below what it was - I will never go back there was a meek apology for the lateness it didn't feel sincere at all. For the price £95 it was a disaster and not worth the money - a birthday cake was produced and left at side of table no Happy Birthday mentioned... I was so looking forward to coming back to the Mandarin but my Birthday was such a let down - at least we could have been offered the cocktails free - nothing had to pay full price for well below good service

Inspired by my excellent lunch experience at Dinner by Heston, I returned to the Mandarin Oriental London to try their Coronation Afternoon Tea served at the historic Rosebery. After a nice stroll through Hyde Park, stepping into the elegant and understated luxury settings of the Rosebery is a delight and so was the afternoon tea exquisitely served with a special mention to the Applewood Cheddar Cheese with caramelized onions & Granny Smith apple sandwich and Scottish Smoked Salmon & Cornish Mackerel on beetroot bread, His Majesty's Delight fruitcake infused with Laphroaig whisky, Duchy Organic Plum Crumble and the Perfect Pimm's Ice Cream Lolly. The Apricot White Tea was refreshing & flavoursome with delicate notes of Mango, Peach & Rose. A thoroughly enjoyable experience with a faultless, impeccable, discreet yet friendly service. They were really nice staff who were really helpful. I had the vegan tea and was one of the best i have had. I can’t recommend the apricot white tea enough, had multiple servings. The visual was again one of the best. They had lots of interesting drink options, actually did the wine pairing which was good.

A special treat for a friend expecting her first child. Tom, our waiter was exemplary in his care and attention to detailing the delights on offer for our Winter Afternoon Tea in The Rosebery. Our 'special needs' were met above our expectations and made the experience an absolute delight. I got reservation at this place through my hotel's concierge and I was pre charged, however the minute I reached and before even eating I was confident that its worth it. The atmosphere was breath taking with its detailed furniture and flowers. The service was excellent and it was auto filled and replaced when ever the plates empty! The taste was really yummy and being from the gulf I liked the fact that they have Karak (tea with milk) but it was disappointing that it didn't taste as the real Karak. We were given some of the food as take away. We were served by Chef Dr rang Gerairt whom knew and gave details about the seasons story which was represented in the cakes selection provided to us and also the nice waitress Mafia.

A wonderful experience to celebrate a birthday. We were so well looked after. Special thanks to Geraint who made us feel very special.

From the moment you step into the Mandarin Oriental, you are captured by the beautiful decor of which we were extra blessed as the Xmas decorations were beautiful. The afternoon tea was bottomless, and the sandwich selection was tailored to individual taste which was wonderful as I am pescatarian. The scones were cranberry which made a refreshing change and the lemon curd jam and rose jam also added a difference. Cakes were themed and delightful. The Rosenberg was a totally recommended thumbs up. Only negative was in the bar, £22.95 for a very small cocktail was a bit steep!!

It was lovely for afternoon tea but I did still leave feeling hungry! I think more effort could be made with the bread e.. g. at the Dorchester they have 🍅 bread for example

Sandwiches are good and the overall services were superb except one waitress forgot our request of paying the bills and let us wait for 15mins. The sweets were absolutely terrible , also, the waitress ask us do we need water for the table before gave us the menu, nobody told us the water costs 7 pounds which we thought was free, and served a whole bottle without asking how much we want. I book this as a part of my friend’s graduation trip, we are not happy with the experience here, surely not gonna come again.
