The Rose Pub & Kitchen in Lewisham

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch, good portions, pretty good value all round but might be better earlier in the day. Washed down by a very reasonable Malbec, in fact I doubled up on the wine and went home happy 😊

One of the best roasts I’ve had in south London. We got the lamb sharer for two. Very filling, we ended up taking some food home with us. They also have very good bloody Mary’s. Thank you Elliot for the great service ❤️

Billy saved my life. I nearly fell off the bench outside and he caught me in his welcoming open arms. I owe my life to Billy. Wonderful man with great hair. He also had a lovely tshirt on. What a guy, if you can take any advice in life… be more Billy.

We had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch at the Rose. We enjoyed a wonderful roast, with perfectly cooked beef and a great range of accompaniments, including Yorkshire pudding and crispy roast potatoes. The staff were very accommodating, especially with our four young grandchildren, and our server Elliott looked after us brilliantly. Even though the pub was really busy, we had a really relaxing afternoon, with delicious food and wonderful service.

Amazing experience at the Rose, banging food great atmosphere and Meg was the best waitress we could have asked for. Attentive, kind and selfless. I’d follow her into battle, vote her into parliament and if she needs a kidney she only has to ask.

Meg was wonderful, the staff were very kind. The food and the service were excellent they also played the football which was great.

Pub has a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Good combinations of traditional pub style with contemporary touches. Elliot, my waiter, was accomodating, kind and attentive. Food arrived in good speed and was delicious. Good selection of draught drinks as well. Will definitely be returning!

First time here, so far so good. Nice vibe, cool people, heated outdoor spaces. Didn’t have any food here but decent selection of beer. Good enough for a quick pint.

Had amazing time having food and drinks with a few friends. The food was delicious I had the artichoke pizza, which came highly recommended by our lovely server Aram. A lovely place for a drink and a bite with warm and inviting staff can highly recommend.

Such a nice pub just a couple minutes from the station and amazing food!! Staff were all so friendly, thank you especially to Aram for the lovely Tre-Carne pizza recommendation and sunny disposition :) really cheered me up after a long day

What would I do without this place. I'm here all the time. I love that I almost always bump into friends here and especially the greatest manager, Evan -- he's a wonderful friendly face who I love catching up with on the regular!

Had the steak and OMG, with I could have another. Then had sticky toffee and again OMG, the bar staff convinced me to have another (didn't take much convincing) This is my local and I love coming to this place, lovely vibe and friendly staff.

Lovey atmosphere. Lovely friendly approachable staff. We came for lunch with our dog who was very welcome. On my online booking I requested a corner table and that's just what I got. The food was spot on and the waitress was able to recommend a wine to my taste. Brilliant! Only very small issue was that my partner had requested to take the rest of his food away because his eyes were too big for his belly! Unfortunately, the food was discarded. However, our waitress was very apologetic and gave plenty of options to rectify the situation. All in all a lovely experience!

My favourite pub 🥰🍻 food, vibe, music, everything is Very good. I just love it.

Roast potatoes and carrots were nice. Chicken looked and tasted as if it was microwaved. Consisted of a small leg with a slab of skin/ flesh attached. Yorkshire pudding was huge and tasted like cardboard. Broccoli and cauliflower tasted like it came from freezer and barely heated up. Stuffing was a small crusty ball. Service was fine. Times are very tough for pubs so I would probably just forget the experience but it was also expensive!

Served by an extremely rude bar lady the other night because my friend added another drink onto her order after paying which was a genuine mistake that she apologised for. The bar lady was quite visibly and quite aggressively talking about us to a colleague and when she served the drink slammed it down on the bar in front of her, no where near where we were standing. A side note, the small room at the top had a minimum spend of over £600 which is quite honestly a piss take. So overall would not recommend and have never been treated like that from a staff member anywhere!
