The Roebuck Inn in East Staffordshire

We visited this pub 6 months ago during the lockdown and experienced the amazing pizzas in the marquee in the car park. The service was great and the food was delicious, so we had come back.We booked 2 tables for the families and kids and to be completely honest our expectations were more than exceeded!! I think the food quality has even improved and the service was unbelievable!! This really is a place to have great food, great service and have fun. The landlady came to our table and introduced herself as well as checking that everything was okay. Her personality exudes through the food and service!! I can not recommend this pub/restaurant enough and will now become a regular haunt, despite the long drive.Thanks Roebuck team you’re brilliant

As a house with 6 tenants with learning disabilities, myself and a co worker brought them to this lovely pub which I visit in my own time also. Staff were very friendly and considerate of the 6 tenants and had patience to ask and listen to what they wanted to eat and drink. After the tenants had finished their lunches they had desserts. All the tenants were very happy with the food, staff and the way they were treated. They have all said they would like to go again on a monthly day out lunch. I would just like to say thank you on behalf of these 6 people to everybody who works at this lovely pub for their hospitality and friendly interaction. In a world that's hard enough for people with learning disabilities to have them shown so much respect is truly amazing. Good job guys, we will be back.

Well myself and my husband visited here on Monday evening and what a welcome, all the staff were very helpful, friendly and always there to offer help and advice on the new social distancing rules.The food was absolutely beautiful I had the Cheesy Mushrooms which were delicious, as for the homemade pie it was amazing.This place has got everything spot on from food to the beer which is brewed onsite in their own brewery.Thanks again to all the staff for making us feel so welcome we will definitely be visiting you again soon.

We were looking for an outdoor pub or restaurant to have a small wedding reception meal at after our wedding. With the restrictions we weren’t allowed to do anything inside our wedding venue. From the moment we called the roebuck they were so accommodating. They went above and beyond bringing in their own decorations, nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived they had set up a welcome party with champagne, decorated the tables, made name plates and much more. They even created a cake table and had placed our wedding cake there on display. The food was so good and everyone loved it. The staff were so friendly and constantly kept our drinks topped up. We really can’t say how amazing this place was, from the hairspray in the toilets for the ladies to the delicious food. Even with covid restrictions they made our day so special. We owe this place so much as they really made our wedding day. Thank you so much Roebuck and Jill!!

I attended a wedding reception here on Wednesday and with Covid restrictions (and the fact I’d never been here before as I’m not from the area) I hadn’t expected much. How wrong I was, Gill and the team looked after the whole party with the greatest care and attention every little detail was cared for and even went above and beyond by taking photos of the whole party without us asking. Nothing was to much trouble. Then came the food which was all home made freshly cooked deliciousness. Every course was excellent and non of us could fault a thing it really capped off a wonderful day for us. I don’t live in the uk any more, but next time I come back I will definitely be visiting them again and I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering giving them a try. Well worth the effort.My wife and I love trying the pubs and restaurants in the area and sampling what they serve up for lunch. Ultimately the establishment gets a ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’. A thumbs down means we will not revisit. The Roebuck gets a definite thumbs up even if it is an 36 mile round drive from home.It ticks all our boxes: great service, hot, freshly cooked food without a long wait, reasonably priced and a nice place to sit. Nothing to fault here. Even parking is easy and Covid instructions easy to follow. In context we eat out twice a week and have tried pubs and restaurants all over Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The Roebuck now figures in our top 5.

First visit, very impressive. Service was excellent even though they were busy, food was outstanding and was just a pleasure to be there. Will definitely return!

Went for a meal on Friday night with my wife. we were very pleased with the safety side when we arrived with plenty of hand sanitiser around. we were met and shown to our table. drinks were then served and we chose our meal. Everything we had was excellent and well presented. the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a fantastic time.

Went here with a voucher gifted by friends. The steak was fine and usual fare - I had fish pie. Yes it was home made but basically just a big dish of mash with a few bits of grey fish cut into 1 cm cubes and three of the tiniest ‘prawns ‘ less than 1 cm in size. Definitely not worth the price. Should be like £2. When I eat out it’s always nice if it’s better than you make at home. Fish pie is not expensive to make. I only suggest visiting if you want steak n chips. The staff were nice and efficient. The bar area seemed very popular The restaurant is incredibly dark at night and a bit soulless.

Visited on Saturday and had the best ever chorizo starter and the best thai curry. All served. by the fantastic staff.Roll on next Saturday

We booked a last minute table for Sunday Lunch 18th October at 14.30, just myself and my daughter today. We have eaten at the Roebuck many times with our friends and family and always loved it , the atmosphere and food are fab. Today was no exception it felt extremely covid safe and we were served by Theo and he was so lovely and helpful he is a credit to your team . My friends and I visited the Roebuck for an evening meal on a Wednesday night recently and the whole experience was superb.The food was absolutely delicious and clearly homemade, plus all staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even though they were clearly quite busy. Not to mention the great COVID measures in place like the hand sanitiser on every table.Would definitely recommend.

lovely looking pub very nice decor friendly servers but the sunday lunch was poor,very basic and bland my husbands beef was like rubber he couldn't even cut into it the veg was very undercooked the starters were nice but the bread used for the prawn cocktail and the pate was so thin and flimsy it was hard to hold it overall very disappointed we should of complained but we didn't so that's on us

Having been a chef for 30 years I’m rather selective where I eat steve and I had lunch today at the Roebuck and the pate starter was great, mains one beef, one turkey, succulent and tender piping hot veg, delicious gravy,homemade Yorkshire puddings and desserts to die for. Excellent from start to finish with attentive staff and spotlessly clean surroundings thanks to you all you deserve a pat on the back.

We visited for Sunday lunch and was really impressed with the COVID safety precautions. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table. The tables were all nicely spaced out and there was a bottle of hand gel on every table. It was really reassuring to see the staff thoroughly wiping the tables down after customers had left, along with wiping down the salt and pepper pots and the even the bottle of hand gel itself. We felt really safe and looked after.The food was really good value (£16 for 3 courses) and was exceptional quality. The roast was served with potatoes, trimmings and a bowl of lovely fresh veg which contained SEVEN different vegetables! My husband loves real ale so he had 3 third pints of the various ales that had been brewed on the premises - this is great for trying several before deciding which one to order a full pint of.Really recommend The Roebuck for a traditional Sunday lunch. The staff are lovely and gave fantastic service - nothing was too much trouble. I really want to commend the owners and the staff for making us feel safe on the premises and for giving fabulous service! Thank you so much - we will be back.

Lovely cosy pub feel to the place, staff were all very friendly and service was great. The toilets were super clean and they had a great system In place to ensure social distancing was happening. Starters were all lovely. Burgers were a bit dry but everything else was great.

Booked this pub based on previous reviews as visiting the village for an Equestrian event, we were 40 mins early for our booking but the wonderful friendly staff juggled some tables around & we were sat straight away. The food was locally sourced homemade, good decent fresh homely food. I had the pie of the day & was delicious! Homemade deserts all delicious but the most striking thing was the service by all the staff. We will defiantly be coming back.

Fantastic service with great value food. Menu is limited but good homemade dishes with great portion sizes. Service is as always attentive prompt and friendly. Sanitiser available throughout entrance, bar ,restaurant and even at your table. Very enjoyable Sunday lunch.

Went here for a meal with 11 guys on the 5th of September and it was absolutely fantastic. Food was far better than we anticipated, and the service was outstanding. We were a reasonably quiet table, and the atmosphere in the pub was brilliant. Would highly recommend. Natalie also made sure the night was memorable, service with a smile Would highly recommend

Ate here on the off chance they could fit us in and was blown away by the hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble and menu was adaptable for gluten free. Staff were exceptionally on point with regards to COVID-19 and track and trace which was comforting. Chloe who served us was very attentive and gave us excellent service! Would highly recommend!!

Booked for myself and a friend for my birthday lunch 22nd August 2020 On arrival all felt Covid safe Hand sanitiser available at the door and on all tables Toilets one in one out All tables sanitised after every customer and were well apart from one another Owners and staff were extremely welcoming and efficient We had the steak and ale pie which was delicious served with chips gravy boat and vegetables Followed by treacle sponge and custard We asked for ice cream as well which was no trouble Perfect gin and tonics!! I can’t recommend this restaurant /pub too much it was a perfect experience and I will be back soonest Thanks to all members of staff

Went to the Roebuck a few days ago for lunch with friends, what a great experience. We all felt very safe with the Covid situation. The food was excellent served by friendly efficient staff, nothing too much trouble. Will be back soon.

Visited the restaurant on the Gov meal deal, could not have been better. Service fist class, seated, drinks order taken within minutes. More than enough staff around at all times keeping the restaurant running smoothly. I informed waitress I was gluten free ( with celiac) when ordering. The menu had some of the most options for GF I have seen in starter, main and desert. Once again the meals came out very quickly present well with polite service.Will definitely return.

Visited for first time 18th August and it certainly won't be the last time. Meal was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. Price, with Rish's initiative, was unbelievably cheap. I can honestly say this was the tastiest meal i have had in a long time. Thank you.

8 of us Arrived at the pub midday ish. Sat outside under an extra large sun sail. Greeted by polite, smiley staff. Food was good and fresh. Pizzas were very big and tasty. Attentive staff and had COVID measures in place. Would return for sure.

Visited Saturday night and the following Sunday lunchtime with a party of seven. We were greeted at the door by Jill the owner who was wonderfully welcoming and hospitable on both occasions she spent a great deal of time chatting with us despite the fact she was clearly busy.. All of the staff were similarly friendly and helpful. The pub has real character and the food is home cooked piping hot and excellent value with a good selection and several vegetarian options. Also there is a microbrewery on the premises which produces superb beer! We were allowed to sample each of the ales in third of a pint glasses. I thoroughly recommend this place an all around first class dining experience with excellent service and hospitality.

Booked a table for lunch for 5 of us at 13:45. Got stuck in traffic en route so arrived at 2pm to be told kitchen was closing at 2pm. Had to order very quickly. Food came in quick time - starters of patè and prawn cocktail were good. Mains also came quickly after that. Cheese & bacon burger looked and tasted great, steak and chips was good too. Sausage & mash that two of us had was poor though. Lumpy, unappealing mash on both so we both left it. Waitress seemed largely uninterested in our concerns.Mars cheesecake for dessert was great. Overall, all felt very rushed and was not a relaxing family meal and don't recommend sausage & mash at all.

Booked a table for dinner at The Roebuck on the first day of Rishi's initiative.Member of staff greeted us in car park to see if we had a booking, and were asked to use the sanitizer provided before we entered the premises.We were escorted to our table, and the one way system was explained.Tables had been removed to ensure social distancing, staff very attentive and friendly.Food, as ever, was top notch, 2X Prawn Pil Pil, i Ribeye steak and 1 Homemade Fish Pie, with a decent bottle of house wine. Discounted bill was £40, When the family next to us left their table, everything was removed and the table sanitized, and it appeared each table was only going to be used once during the evening.Impressed, well done to the Staff

Stopped here for lunch with my sister en route to Fenny Bentley. Very friendly welcome - very spacious pub offering fantastic food. We both had scampi and chips - a very generous portion - which we thoroughly enjoyed. Run by Landlord and his daughter - great people! Highly recommend

This was our favourite pub/restaurant when visiting family prior to the lockdown. We went on Saturday for our first meal out since lockdown with some trepidation. We needn’t have worried as management had had a professional risk assessment carried out and implemented all recommendations. The food was excellent, my specially requested, preordered lemon sole filled my dinner plate and was cooked to perfection as were the other meals ordered. Sweets went down well, especially the Mars bar cheesecake and treacle sponge. A special mention to the serving staff who were respectful, attentive and always with a smile, a credit to management for the level of training.

Excellent food and service - the pizzas were amazing - first meal out since the Covid lockdown - throughly enjoyed.

So happy to have stumbled across The Roebuck. We called up and booked a table for six people + 1 dog an hour before we arrived. From our arrival, staff were super friendly and attentive (super lovely owners). Ordered from main Sunday menu (Gluten free and Vegan options). Food was brilliant. Really good value for money and overall a wonderful experience! If you’re in the area you must visit! :)

After 4 long months we were glad to be back at the Roebuck again for some fantastic food. We felt comfortable and reassured all the time, without it feeling the measures were over the top. My only worry was that it was very quiet, people need to start coming back or great places like this won’t be with us much longer unfortunately.

Just been to the Roebuck with friends first time after lockdown, and what can I say!!! It was amazing as always, they have worked so hard to keep everyone safe and the measures they have gone too is truly commendable. The food as always was out of this world, we had a fantastic afternoon, thank you to all the team. If anyone is worried about going out for a meal then go to the Roebuck,the experience you will have will be amazing and you will feel 100% safe.

We went to the Roebuck on Saturday to celebrate a 60th birthday. We could not have felt more comfortable or safe. The staff all wore masks and face visors and Hand sanitisers were available throughout. The one way system and table service were great so nobody had to wait at the bar. There was a one person only policy for the toilet with an engaged or free sign in place where you could wait. Finally, the food was fantastic, up to the usual high standard. Can highly recommend for a meal or just a drink. Thank you to Gill, Darren and Abbie and all of the staff.

Called in for drinks on Saturday. All the appropriate safety measures were in place , so if you are cautious, then be reassured that the highest safety standards are being adhered too. The staff are welcoming and the efficient service at tables means you can still enjoy a nice drink and chat with social distancing being observed.

Popped in for an overdue pint and meal, the effort the team have gone to to make us feel safe is fantastic, great idea with the vacant/occupied signs at the start of the corridor to the toilets.Also a video on the FB page to explain how it all works.Well done all, be back again soon.

It’s clear to see how much The Roebuck truly care about their customers and staff. We were blown away by how much the team have done to ensure everyone stays safe, but keeping the Roebuck vibe and charms. They have clearly given every last detail tonnes of thought and actions. it’s truly paid off. There was no compromise in the quality of food and service. We will definitely be returning and spreading the word.

We were caught out the day before our wedding when the beer barrels arrived without the taps they were meant to come with. However the Roebuck came to our rescue and kindly loaned us a couple of taps for the weekend. With service like that, it’s no wonder the car park is always full! Thanks Roebuck!!

Always a great warm welcome here especially from owners Gill and Darren and Abbie. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of wines , spirits and beers which are enhanced by the Roebuck on- site brewery for lovers of real ale -delicious!The menu is varied, lots of choice of good fresh locally sourced ingredients -the food is served quickly and is hot and well presented-they take pride in their customer service here. Friday the 13th, lucky for some!! Well it was for our family as we choose The Roe Buck Inn Draycott to celebrate my sons 21st with our close family, 17 in total, the whole evening was fantastic, from start to finish, the food was all fab, (we’ve been many times, for various celebrations including Sunday lunches as well) the service and staff were brilliant ( thanks Gill and staff ) we’ve always enjoyed coming to the Roe Buck. Good choice of own brewed beers great food, warm friendly atmosphere, would recommend the Roe Buck Inn at Draycott

Had an amazing time tonight as always, food was excellent with top quality service, had a great burger, wife had a pie and was amazing. My father and I visited on Sunday 8th March after friends recommendation. We walked into a welcoming warm atmosphere and immediately felt comfortable. My dad loves his Guinness and enjoy Peroni which were perfection. We were booked in for 1.00pm for lunch and enjoyed the comment ‘ I will meet you round in the restaurant’ from the polite lady behind the bar.The food was spot on , hence we booked in for next Sunday and intend this to be a regular thing.There is also a fine selection of home brewed bitter.11 / 10 for service, atmosphere , food and drink .....!!!!

Recently visited the Roebuck again, having visited a few years ago. They now have their own Beers which was a pleasant surprise for us all.Again, the service and food was excellent. The atmosphere has remained the same and the staff are wonderful....they put up with our rather enthusiastic party.Many thanks to you all...keep doing what you are doing, it works for me!

As a family we regularly use the Roebuck, for the good food, service and beer.Tonight it was shocking. Beer was good as usual. Service slow from the waitress on drinks, Enid given not told what the pie of the day was. The best is yet to come.My partner really loves fish pie but hates prawns. So when we asked the waitress if the fish pie has prawns in as it doesn’t state it on the menu and the waitress answered “if it doesn’t say on the menu it’s won’t have it in”.Didn’t check with a chef or manager just assumed it did t as the menu didn’t state it.Starters came out quickly and were nice, mains followed afterwards. Again we’re nice but in the last few mouth fulls on the fish pie my partner actually spat her food out into the bowl in eye site of the waitress to find prawns.After being told there was no prawns and then having them in her meal is unacceptable. What if she had a serious allergy to prawns? She could of had an attack which could of been very serious.After the mains were cleared we mentioned it to the staff and no one came over although the waitress said she will speak to the manager. My partner went to the bathroom and was then sick due to this serious disliking to prawns.I then had to go to the bar to find the manager and say what had gone on as no one at all had addressed our issues and complaints.I spoke to her mentioned allergens and how you have to me carful as people have allergies but luckily she hasn’t but could of been very serious. I asked for the bill and sat back down.She then went off and we were rudely shouted at my I can only assume was an owner. Can the man who’s spoken to my staff outside come around the bar.Firstly I never went outside and secondly I don’t very except to be spoken to in that way.I then spoke to said owner who accused me of being aggressive and upsetting her staff. Not once was I aggressive or raised my voice. Was I not allowed to question her knowledge of food allergens? Surely every restaurant manager knows the basics of the 14 food allergens? If not I really think they should.And even if they didn’t you would think they would care that one the customers was throwing up in there toilets due to the food that was served.If you wish to discuss this further please feel free to reply to this review. We dine regularly but after all this and especially being accused of being aggressive and then being told I was watching you on the cameras. Will we not be returning. Such a shame when I have a lot of people who I will now not recommend you and will listen due to the position I am in. The icing on the cake was the owner saying good that I won’t be returning after being accused of being aggressive as I didn’t want to stand there and listen to her making stuff up about me being aggressive. She even got a young waitress over to give us the bill, didn’t even bring it over herself to address the situation. I would actually give this place a zero but that option isn’t available.Look forward to you reply!

Booked a surprise meal for the other half as he loves steak, and hadn't had a t-bone for years. He loved it, said it was delicious and cooked to perfection! Cottage pie was delicious too :)

A lovely little place, easy to get to with adequate parking. The attached micro-brewery drew us to this place for a birthday meal and drinks and didn't disappoint. The bar hosts a range of own brewed beers as well as the usuals. The meal we had was delicious with exceptional service from all, in particular a lady with short black hair and tattoo's (sorry I didn't get her name), but she had her finger well and truly on the pulse. The food was great with some nice desserts! Roebuck beers are all great, hard to choose a favourite but I'll go for the tasty IPA.

Six of us tonight all starters were fantastic four of us had mussels and two had the fishcakes the mains were fantastic also the steaks cooked perfectly the salmon the best I’ve had mexican chicken delicious service and ambience second to none highly recommended

A large group of friends and I visited The Roebuck in November 2019 as we were staying near by for a weekend escape from London (sorry for the late review!). We were so happy with the service here, we wish we could come back! The staff were so nice and accommodating even though we were a large group, it was a nice welcoming cosy atmosphere inside. We mainly bought drinks which were at a great price and a couple of people got food and said it was delicious.

Excellent food, lovely surroundings, such a friendly and happy place and the bar staff are cheerful and welcoming! We visited on a Saturday lunch time - both the the bar and restaurant were brimming with people, a sure sign of a successful well run business!

What a lovely romantic valentines night with outstanding food and service. The unexpected little touches like rose petals, heart shaped napkins and piano player all made for a lovely ambiance. The food was outstanding, from sharing platters for two (the seafood platter was superb), amazing mains (prawn linguine) and the loveliest strawberry & marshmallow skewers. But the icing on the cake is the amazing staff, the bar staff, the waiting staff and those in the kitchen... with the gems being the landlady and landlord... nothing is too much for them to accommodate. I organised a meal here for my 30th birthday. We pre-booked as there was going to be 36 of us. Every member of staff were so accommodating amd helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was perfect. The food and service was exceptional and there own brewed bitter was excellent.

We had a most enjoyable evening in The Roebuck, the food & beer was excellent and the service exceptional. It was our first visit to this pub following recommendation from friends. The menu is a traditional one and full of great home made quality food.

This was the first time we have visited this place and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff are all lovely and friendly and the food is fabulous. All home cooked and very reasonably priced. There is nothing I can fault with this place except it’s not on my doorstep. Definately worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Great local pub with a decent menu and super friendly staff. Have had lunch here a couple of times and also a drink after work sometimes.

Food is just pub food, but at restaurant prices, a little disappointed if I’m honest. It was very tight on space there was a group of 4 of us, struggled to get in and out of the table having to ask the people next to us to move in a little so that we could stand up when leaving

Excellent beef roast and pies.Fresh vegetables served in a dish to share and a huge jug of gravy. Quick friendly service . I could not fault the meal. No extra fancy dishes just excellent well prepared home cooked fresh meals. Pudding menu also small but just perfect for Sunday lunches! We will continue to return.Very reasonable prices .

At short notice we arrived for food, table of 6. Staff really accommodating and friendly to organise a table for us. Service was 10 out of 10 meal was delicious. Great experience and will return very soon.

Extensive menu with something for everyone. Swift efficient service. Fabulous beer brewed on the premises. Friendly atmosphere but deceptively large number of covers.

We dined at the Roebuck for Sunday lunch today and what a fantastic meal it was. The food and service were excellent, great value and all in a wonderful atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble all staff were attentive and helpful, we would definitely recommend.

Lovely, simple lunch (scampi and chips, liver and onions, sausages and mash - all £7.50 each). Especially liked a tray of a good selection of veg being brought out too. Very helpful staff and we all enjoyed the food.

Just a great Sunday lunch. Roast beef excellent, lot of veg and great gravy. Yorkshire was very good as well. Also their own IPA is well worth a try.

We were staying in the area and visited The Roebuck on a Saturday evening as a group of four, celebrating two birthdays. The bar was very busy when we arrived just before 7pm, but we were pleased by the friendly welcome we received on arrival and we were quickly shown to our reserved table in the restaurant. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive and we felt very welcome. We had three courses, including some dishes chosen from the specials menu, and all were excellent; well cooked, nicely presented and very tasty. The staff took care to ensure that the four of us were served our meals at the same time too. The two ales we sampled (the Hopster and Porter) were very good. Overall, our first experience of The Roebuck was a very pleasant one and we will definitely return if we are in the area again. Highly recommended.

Second visit, great range of beers, very comfortable environment, very busy so words out there!. Food menu excellent, being vegan good selection, I opted for the nut roast, wife had the lasagne both meals first class, our friends had meat dishes, all totally delighted. Service ( well secret service with staff ear pieces )First class!. If you want a great night out with fab food, friendly staff, real ale then look no further .

Booked a table for my mum and I for lunch.

We booked up for a midweek evening meal to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday. There was 11 of us (old and young) and we were not disappointed. Great choice of excellent tasting food and good beers brewed on site. Darren, Gill and their team could not have done more. We all enjoyed our meal in a relaxed environment (hope we weren't too loud!) and nothing was too much trouble.

Ten of us went to The Roebuck on a Monday evening for dinner to celebrate my son's 28th birthday. We were all very impressed with the experience. Great food in terms of choice, quality, quantity, presentation and value. Lovely decor and ambience - we felt very comfortable and welcome. Good choice of beers. The five types of cask ales that are all brewed on site are quality (Cask Marque) and reasonably priced. The licencees and their staff couldn't do enough for us in the bar and in the restaurant. Service was spot-on and all our meals arrived together. It was a great evening and we'll certainly return to The Roebuck.

Passed The Roebuck and we just knew on route back it was the place we intended to stop for Lunch due mainly to its Kerb Side appeal

Visited for Sunday lunch one of group asked for something not on the menu and the lovely server went to the kitchen and they said no problem.The Sunday roasts were lovely(beef and pork).The veg cooked to perfection with a good choice.Treacle sponge and custard was very good and all the food was piping hot.The server at our table was absolutely lovely extremely pleasant and smiley made us feel very welcome.The prices were also extremely good and great value for money would definitely go again.

8 of us went for our daughters 21st, well what can I say!!! The whole experience was amazing!!! Welcoming staff, excellent food that couldn’t be faulted, and the service was 100%, we returned today for Sunday lunch and again the food was amazing and so are all the staff, would recommend this place 100%over any we have been too, and we are always looking for nice food and drink. Thank you all for making my daughters 21st the best ever birthday, it is so nice we have booked Xmas dinner for the first time ever. Xxx

We visited as a party of 9 to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed. Friendly staff. The pub was very busy. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic night with Family celebrating my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The Roebuck was fantastic again . Great atmosphere, beautiful food and excellent service . Such a lovely Evening the Roebuck is outstanding , friendly staff and so welcoming . Looking forward to many more visits . Highly recommended x

A group of us visited to not only eat but have a brewery tour. Known as OATS (Old Abbey Tablers Society, former Round Table Members) and not surprisingly liking our beer, we were treated to a magnificent brewery tour by the Head Brewer, Steve Topliss. Steve has been in the brewing industry for 50 years and was Head Brewer for a number of major companies in the UK. In other words, the beer was going to be good. It was, producing top quality ales from using top quality ingredients and from 50 years of top quality experience. The food and service were also excellent. Needless to say, we needed a taxi. Definitely worth a visit and more than once!

We visited on bank holiday Monday. It was very hot and we had not booked a table. We was shown to a table straight away and service was very good. We ordered the food and it arrived very quickly even though the resteraunt was busy. All of the food was delicious and was reasonable priced. I would definitely recommend this pub. We will be back when we are in the area.

This place is fantastic. The staff are all so friendly and helpful we had three young children with us and they all made an effort to make all three children smile. They washed the children’s bowl out after the meal for us and provided spare plates for the children. The waiting on staff were fantastic friendly and very professional with the service. We came for are parents 30th wedding anniversary and we all thought everything was fantastic. We all had roasts and deserts and all were quickly served even though the were extremely busy. The food was fantastic and we all said the staff all know how to run a pub perfectly. We will be back. Thank you

Went early as we had heard they brew their own beer and very nice it was too.The food was very good as was the service,I would definitely recommend.

We ate here on a Friday evening...attentive young members of staff who were very well trained and looked after us, to perfection. The food was VERY good ...nice and fresh and HOT. ..I would not hesitate in recommending this pub for food.
