The Rockies Restaurant in Fife

Excellent experience. Busy night but great food and service. Mussels were fabulous as was the steak and the cod. Lovely girls Louise and Alice were super busy but were so obliging and cheerful. Given the current situation we felt very lucky. Hats off !!

C’est dans le clubhouse du golf que ça se passe. Le restaurant n’est pas très simple à trouver mais il est en bord de mer.La salle est assez impersonnelle, le service approximatif mais on y mange très bien.Les prix sont vraiment très agréables aussi.Une jolie pause le temps d’un midi.

À midi 12 euros pour 2 plats de la carte excellemment préparés et présentés avec vue sur la mer, sur une nappe, dans une salle, certe impersonnelle mais très propre.6 ou 7 choix d'entrées et de plat, mon choix fut : poulet mariné piri piri avec salade savoureuse suivi d'un filet de bar grillé avec légumes frais, sauce citronnée légère. Pour 3 euros de plus vous avez un dessert. Service impeccable. Il n'y avait que 2 tables occupées dont la nôtre... Le verre de vin 18,5cl (petite bouteille) de Sauvignon est à £3,80.

Het restaurant zit in hetzelfde gebouw als golfclub en deaelfde kok maar een andere kaart. Reserveren om in het restaurantdeel te eten wordt aanbevolen. Diner 3 gangen voor £24,50. Dan zit je ook goed vol! Gerechten met verse, lokale ingrediënten en Schotse touch (kip gevuld met haggis). Goed bereid en erg smakelijk. Aanrader!

We have visited Rockies many times as a couple and as a family but not since the change of management. Our recent visit was disappointing. The staff appeared to be much more interested in serving those in the golf club restaurant, which we have not seen, than Rockies. There was a constant rush of staff from the kitchen to the golf club restaurant and back again while we waited and waited. The food was really not that good either. Unfortunately, this restaurant has now disappeared from our East Neuke list.

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung zum Abendessen ins „The Rockies“ zwischen Golfplatz und Felsenküste.Die drei sauted Scallops mit Salätchen waren mickrig und hätten sicher in den Muschel-Kindergarten gemusst, statt auf unsere Teller. Die kleinen Dinger auf den Punkt zu garen ist schwer, aber einigermaßen gelungen. Das Sirloinsteak war leider etwas zu durch, geschmacklich aber ganz ok. Der Weißwein war ebenfalls ok.

I have visited Rockies numerous times and the food has always been at an exceptional standard. The staff are friendly and make the overall experience very welcoming. The views over the river Forth are amazing. The regular set menu is great but I would strongly recommend afternoon tea and don’t get me started on how amazing the pudding was!

Had a lovely celebration meal here, and half of us were happy to have a separate vegan menu. The food was tasty, and there were beautiful views out over the water and back to the village. The waitress was cheerful and efficient, although a little overworked because the evening was apparently unexpectedly busy. Worth a visit!

Treated our son to dinner and what a fab meal it was. pate was tasty and freshly made with oatcakes, a dressed salad and chutney. The Scallops were declared perfect! and the mussels in a galic sauce yummy. mains were Salmon, guinea fowl and lamb shank all were delicious and plates scrapped clean. I chose Chocolate brownie for dessert and boy was i glad freshly made chocolate heaven on a plate! The others opted for the cheese board which looked really good to but im glad i stuck with chocolate! Thanks to the Rockies team for a fab meal delivered quickly and expertly from a tiny kitchen

We had lunch here as a party of 6 adults and 2 children in September, and can highly recommend it. We all had three courses - and had a variety of starters, mains and desserts - and the staff handled it all with friendly and efficient service.The dining room is small - but spacious and very pleasant.This was one of the best meals we had while on a week's holiday in Fife.There is plentiful parking available right at the door - and the restaurant would be very accessible for any elderly customers or anyone with mobility issues. We really enjoyed our lunch here - and look forward to eating at Rockies again.

first class meal deserves 10 stars not just 5 plenty choice on menu i opted for pate with oatcakes which was very tasty and just the right amount followed by roast lamb with mushroom mash and red wine jus absolutely delicious! followed by chocolate bread and butter pudding another dish wiped clean. Staff as always friendly attentive and totally profesional, next table already booked!

another delicious meal Chicken with a pepper sauce and haggis mash followed by chocolate and orange cheesecake all yummy and clean plates yet again, keep meaning to photograph meals before eating but it all looks so good i always forget until its far too late!! as always staff are friendly and very helpful.

another deliciuos meal at Rockies pizza is the best i have ever tasted I never leave disapointed. Staff are lovely, very profesional and friendly no matter how busy they make time for you it makes eating here a pleasure every time

A bright, clean, modern restaurant with the added bonus of delicious food from new chef Jock Anderson. Eaten here twice already and can't wait till the next time

The Rockies is a bit odd, in that main area, with the great view, is for golfers on weekends and the restaurant is in a funny area below, which has a slightly sunken view. However we discovered that you can opt to have the meal with the better view, but with less table formality. So last Tuesday with no golfers to be seen we opted for the view. We opened with tomato soup and goats cheese with caramelized onion for starters, which was pretty good. Then monkfish and the lamb. The lamb I have to say was extraordinarily nice with a fabulous cranberry sauce. Much better than we could have hoped for. Highly recommended.
