The Ringlestone Inn in Maidstone

Had a fantastic Sunday roast here, the best I have had. When we arrived we were welcomed like locals by the lovely staff. We had an unexpected extra 2 guests dinning with us but the staff managed to accommodate us all. The food was lovely and I still have no idea how this places doesn’t have any Michelin Stars. This is Kent’s best kept secret and having dined at the best restaurant in Kent this is by far my favourite. Cannot recommend highly enough. Plus their dogs are lovely and the restaurant is very dog friendly.

Wonderful place! Comfortable, warm, lunch was delicious and they made Maggie my Labrador (and us) feel so welcome. I get nervous taking her into pubs as she can get a bit barky in a new place but Maggie was seen to with dog biscuits as soon as she walked in by the staff and she was very relaxed there, as we were. Would most definitely return.

The wife and I went on Friday and had the 7 course meal. I didn't think that there was anywhere around that would or could be as good as this.The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was lovely. The presentation was brilliant. The staff were the best. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Went here for my wife's Birthday; Dalton made us very welcome we had arrived early and so had a drink in the front bar. Table ready promptly. The staff were excellent attentive and friendly. Food was amazing... particularly the Poached pear soufflé with Stilton ice cream... minds blown by the fusion! Fine dining in the depths of the Kent countryside, with crackling inglenook, good beer and wine. My wife had a fabulous time can't wait to go back... Thanks Dalton and Paolo for making her evening so special!

Such a beautiful place. Food was tasty, presented well, hot food, great service from Dalton. Happy birthday wrote on the dessert plate which put a smile on my 89 year old fathers face. We were made to feel welcome. Certainly will return. Thank you guys 😊

Wow, best roast dinner I’ve had in a long time. The beef was really tender and the cauliflower cheese excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Always a nice atmosphere in this pub especially when the fire is lit. Ted our little dog was made to feel welcome too. We will def go back.

Visited this Pub after the change of Management in 2019 after a lengthy closure. New team were very welcoming and attentive. The Menu was very Fish or Fowl tonight, but the "Special" Venison Pie was delightful. The portions were enough, even for us to get through 3 courses. We were surprised that a 3 course meal with a Bottle of wine was not as expensive as we had thought it might be. Will certainly be returning to our local pub/restaurant again in the near future.

One of the best and most welcoming places to eat in Kent. House wine and ales are always perfect. Open sandwiches are my go-to for de-stressing on a Friday lunch.

The Team take a well deserved break in the Early New Year and reopen the third week in January. We are always trying new places especially during Ringlestone holidays. Consistently we find ourselves disappointed and with nothing comparing to the food, drink, friendly service, incredible value and ambience Dalton, Paulo, Wendy & Patrick provide every time we visit. This is an outstanding restaurant owned & run by outstanding people who deserve all the wonderful feedback they get. Can't wait for reopening day!

Friendly and warm welcome, lovely home made food - fantastic to be able to take the dog, who received the same warm welcome and a treat too!! Well worth a visit & we will return.

I haven’t been to the Ringlestone for a number of years., was very impressed with the revamp. Glad to see the new Team have kept much of the history of The Ringlestone alive. Excellent staff and excellent food Beautiful I open fires in both rooms.

My husband and I had a meal here last night to celebrate my birthday. The food was outstanding and the service second to none, staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We are now thinking of having a wedding anniversary celebration there for family and friends

Our first time eating at The Ringlestone Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone. The service was perfect, prompt but friendly and at no point were we rushed. The food was just delicious, honestly cannot fault anything. Great menu and specials. The building itself is very old and full of historic charm, really cosy. We'll definitely be returning!

We visited the Ringlestone Inn for Sunday lunch, meeting friends from Surrey. It really is in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the trip. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Three of our party had an excellent Sunday roast, I had pork and puy lentils. It was amazing, the pork was the best I have ever tasted. It didn’t stop there, we had dessert, apple crumble soufflé, it was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We were saying in the area and popped in for a quick drink on a Friday afternoon. We, along with our black lab were made to feel so welcome we booked for a Sunday lunch. The owner managed to fit us in later in the afternoon as they were very busy on that particular Sunday. We were again made extremely welcome, the food was excellent and a great wine list to boot. Highly recommend we will be returning.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Every member of the team were friendly and attentive to just the right level. The atmosphere is very relaxed, we were asked where we would like to sit which we thought was lovely. The food is outstanding. A fairly small menu but every item on there has clearly been planned for maximum flavour and presentation. Every course was delicious. The drinks were also excellent. Out for a birthday drive in the country side. Came across Ringlestone Inn. Popped in. Glad we did. Lovely quaint Inn, with history. It’s mid October, fire was burning in the hearth and pumpkins on display, made the stay special. Greeted by the friendly owner. Ordered a drink. We had eaten a hearty breakfast so lunch was not an option. So opted for a desert. Lovely.

Had the best meal here that we have ever had. Dalton was very welcoming and friendly and Paolo the chef is a culinary master. The inn is 500yrs old and is very charming.

A wonderfully restored old country inn, that offers a warm welcome & fabulous food. More expensive than your average pub, but then this was a fine dining experience & my husband & I felt it was well worth the money. Highly recommend

What an amazing restaurant, Dalton is always so welcoming and professional. The food is the best I’ve tasted and I love the little touches they add into your experience. Perhaps one of the best pub lunches I’ve ever had. Ordered gazpacho followed the trout and finished by sharing the chocolate dessert along with the panna cotta, and it was all utterly delicious. Servings were generous, the ingredients were all top quality, flavours fresh and complex whilst the service was friendly and efficient. So good to know places like this exist where really good food is celebrated in an authentic setting.

The food here is seriously good. We had Sunday lunch and were expecting a standard home-made pub roast. But everything was cooked to perfection. Presentation was meticulous. The sides were outstanding. I had the risotto with goats cheese and courgette and unlike most risottos (the go-to boring veggie option) this one was memorable. Some in our group had the cherry souffle for desert and it was probably the most 'Instagram-able' souffle I've seen and tasted great too. If this was London it would be much more expensive and you wouldn't be able to get a table.

Went to the Ringlestone as a surprise for my Birthday. It was in the afternoon and it was very quiet. A fantastic setting, old beams and brick floors. A wonderful step back in time. The service was second to none and the food was absolutely fabulous. We could not fault anything. However, upon paying the bill in cash we gave a very good tip of nearly £30. Such a shame we didn’t see any staff after this. They didn’t acknowledge if we had overpaid or anything. Apart from that I would recommend highly.
