The Real Greek in City of London, Westminster

I visited the restaurant last night with my fiance and totally loved it, great food and service, I would recommend it to everyone and most definitely coming back soon.

Loud music coming from the kitchen behind the restaurant. Loud phone calls from the staff in front of our window. Good food but rude staff.

Today was my last day to see my family members before I fly back to US. My sister booked a table for 5 people and was literally ready and nicely done. A young boy served us with lots positively with a smile on his face introduced us well the menu and some of his suggested dishes. He was really welcoming and lovely. The boy is half Italian/Greek which he made us feel to choose the Greek cuisine over Italian. The food was delicious and really charming atmosphere!!!

Very good menu, rich and at a very good price. The cheesecake is delicious.

Ok little place, I called in after work with a friend, and we had a shared platter. The food was good, but the service was not exactly friendly. Hardly anyone in the restaurant either, so the atmosphere was quite flat. Maybe I over romanticise Greek food, but i associate it with love and fun and this place felt very chain restaurant like.

This place changed to worse in the past few years. Used to visit it regularly in 2020-2021 and the quality of the food and the service was amazing - they were moving fast, were nice and friendly. Now everything is the opposite - I wish management would do something to save this place, but it's been like that for a while and I won't be coming back to this branch.

I was looking forward to my first visit there as I usually frequent a different traditional Greek restaurant….. nothing fancy, just home food traditional Greek fare. What a disappointment….. and that is an understatement…..😔 The food was tasteless! No garlic in the tzatziki, the “sauce” for the calamari was commercial Mayo. The lamb skewer was overcooked and burned ( and tiny!!) Very over priced for quantities. No cucumber OR peppers in the Greek salad. One green olive…. Very sad….. and left hungry……

Estuve comiendo con niños. El servicio súper amable. Nos recomendó comida tanto para niños como para mayores. Estaba todo riquísimo. Me quedo con las Meatballs y las gambas ( picaban un poco pero muy soportable).

We bought four souvlaki wraps and two salads, plus four soft drinks. Cost, £70. The wraps were just warm and not very large. The taste was ok but nothing special. I guess central London is always going to be expensive but I'd have expected better food nevertheless. On the plus side, there seemed to be quite a few vegetarian and vegan options.

Lousy service, staff seemed uninterested in their customers. Food was ok but nothing special and hot stuff delivered shortly after the cold stuff on tables that are too small and crammed in. I would give it a miss!

Great place, found it right next to my hotel. I loved the pork belly, delicious, while not being too fatty. Great atmosphere, and good service.

I was here yesterday for some cold dishes with fries. Unfortunately the fries were served cold. The starters also did not taste fresh. Although I come here often and am always satisfied. The spicy feta and tzatiki are my favorite with Greek bread

We have ordered The vegan meatball Souvlaki. We were very disappointed because portion was just with one slice of tomato, few chips, two “meatballs”( it wasn’t even meatball, just few poor slices of the vegan meat and not very tasty) and the portion was very small. From what I remember there were meant to be more vegetables like paprika. We had that meal in other The Real Greek Restaurant and was big and delicious portion. We have had a Greek salad too, not very tasty with unripe vegetables and under seasoned. We came back home hungry. We don’t recommend that place.

Delicious food served well with a good selection & lovely desserts.

This was July 2022 but we left full but dissapointed with the service. Only 2 other customers but the waitresses seemed more interested in chatting than serving. Had to call them over after a 10 minute wait to order. Same went for the bill 15 minutes. To add to insult a 15% service charge was added which we removed. Wouldn't go back!

Unfortunately hot mezze were as cold as cold mezze.

Wow. Just absolutely speechless. Fantastic food , fantastic service. My kids and mrs absolutely adore this place. My wife would rather be having a chicken gyros from this restaurant than be having me on a Sunday night .

Really nice restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating. Food portions were big and food tasty. Excellent service too. Particularly liked the chicken skewers. Went for a pre theatre meal and service was quick enough to get us done on time. Very reasonable prices too on a Groupon deal.

I came down on Saturday for lunch around 2pm and the restaurant was full. We got lucky to get the last table and we sat down. As soon as we ordered the drinks arrived in seconds and the food in minutes which surprised me. Everything was so delicious especially the lamb meatballs. The staff were very helpful and very cheerful. I would definitely recommend.

The sharing platter was tasty. The salad didnt taste very fresh and was quite soaked and soft. The service was good.

Saw the website where the food looked so tasty, so we ordered online. Food took an hour. Arrived cold. Missing items. Wrap was completely dry, genuinely hard to eat. All round terrible, big shame

Small place. On a Wed night where most of the tables were empty, we waited a bit too much for our food (over 20 min). Even though two women served us (one food, one drinks) there was little to no customer service. We were not asked how the food was or if we needed anything else. Slightly disappointed compared to the experience we had at London Bridge / Shoreditch branches.

Wow this place has definitely changed after covid. It used to be a staple for me everytime I’m in London, I’m disappointed to say this would be my last visit unfortunately. I was super excited to try it and came straight after I checked in to my hotel. We ordered our usuals and we came in around an hour before closing time. The flat bread was stale and chewy, falafel was bland and tasted like it was burnt, hummus and halloumi skewers were ok, beetroot salad used to be better, chicken skewers were burnt. Food was so different and flavorful before. Service was fast and nice waiters, however this place has lost its charm. Won’t be coming back.

This is as plain as you can get. We went with a group of seven before a nearby show and ordered about half the menu between us. I can’t think of one dish that was even decent.

I ordered a gyro and 3/4 of it was chips, literally a flat bread with chips and some taztiki. Really disappointing because I used to like their food

My favourites were the aubergine cold starter, prawns and salted cod. Simply delicious. Their flat bread was yummy too. Only marked down because the service for a water refill was slow and the restaurant wasn't too busy at the time.

I’ve been there 2 times during my London trip. It was delicious food. Kids friendly staff. We really love food. Very cozy restaurant. Fava was amazing. Best taste ever. Octopus was delicious but small portion 🙈 all of foods which we ordered it was great. There was also option in menu you can pick set menu between options.

A fantastic taste of home. The tzatziki had a classic taste, no surprises (in a good way). Everything was clean and the waiter was friendly. Last time I had the chicken souvlaki wrap and it was also fantastic.

As an actual Greek living in London, this is an okay place. The food is inexpensive but the portions are relatively small. Also more than half of the catalogue isn’t actual dishes you would see in Greece.

Same quality of any other The Real Greek branch, except the prices are higher just because the location is "posh". The food quality is being degraded over the years, what I find pretty disgusting is the flavour of their pita, it seems like they use exhaust motor oil instead of olive oil.

Delicious Mezze also tried the Greek Dessert wine which was delicious ! Lovely ambience

This is a really good spot for a quick (and very affordable) meal, while not compromising on the food quality. Most dishes are below £10 GBP which is an absolute steal, particularly for Central London. The menu is vast and includes chicken, pork, lamb, as well as vegan/vegetarian options. I recommend ‘The Real Greek Halloumi Fries’ and the baklava.

The food tastes like nothing. No flavor, no Greek spices. Dishes are very small which explains the fair to low price compared to other prices.

The food here was superb, I loved the twist they added with their greek plater (see picture), it was very well priced too for the area it’s located in and the staff were super friendly and helpful if memory recalls. Would definitely recommend the younger couples or tourists to go here and give it a try, as the food does not disappoint and it won’t break the bank, plus you can a nice walk after your meal in Central London - can make for an amazing evening.

We went there for dinner at Wednesday, it was really busy I could see the staff running. The food was nice and the service amazing , a big thank you to Paola that she took care of our table and helping us with our Greek .

Tables a bit small for the 'menu'...and very tight for space in a busy restaurant. Nice food though.

After a whole day of walking, we were hungry, and we managed to stop by The Real Greek, a small restaurant with plenty of tables. The service was friendly, and we received our order fairly quickly. As for the prices, they were appropriate for the location and quality. The beer was £2 cheaper than in Knightsbridge. I recommend it because everyone enjoyed the taste, and it didn't break the bank.

Food was absolutely lovely but unfortunately my phone was stolen in the middle of the busy restaurant straight out of my son’s hand. They refused to give over the CCTV footage to the police & I was left absolutely traumatised as was my son. Not even an apology or offering to help when I was clearly in distress. Great food but staff definitely need more training in dealing with customers & how to show empathy in horrible situations.

Order the food through uber eat, was missing half of the order, got refunded nothing from uber eat. If you order from them be 100% sure they send everything. Plus be careful if you order through uber eat the person collecting your food isn’t the picture on the app. Just a very bad experience.

As a native Greek, I feel uncomfortable with the name of this place. The service is kind but the atmosphere is not very authentic, it just feels like a big restaurant chain. Also the portions are way too small for being real Greek. Taste at least was ok.

Asked for just 2 slice of bread with my chicken skewers (and said I’m happy to pay) but not possible, had to buy the whole thing. Food took too long to come, portions very small for the price. Would not come again

The food was good. They bring it out in a way so it fits on the table. The servers could have been more polite, and the salad had way too many tomatoes. But overall, it was enjoyable for lunch!

Good food, great service, reasonable prices.

If nowhere else available, fine. No relationship to real Greek food. Wine is good. Avoid the giantess with spinach_ zero flavour. Stick to gyros for costs.
