We had a little party fir my friend birthday and was amazing !!!! Delicious food , I would recommend sausage and mash , hake , fish and chips and chicken pie and bar food. Delicious!!!! Staff very professional and friendly. We definitely back to The Ranelagh again.

This might be the cosiest pub I have ever visited. The food was sublime, the bar staff were also sublime, I am definitely coming here again. Cheers!

I came here for a birthday party and we were looked after all day and night by the very friendly, attentive and professional staff. The food was fantastic, really good home cooked food made with love. We had people of all age groups in the party and dogs and it was a great space to have a celebration for all. Would highly recommend if you’re in this area. Stop by!

We had my mother’s 80th birthday celebration at the venue yesterday .. I cannot thank the team enough for everything they did for us … Dan went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure that we all had a fantastic day and night !!! He had a full busy Sunday pub with roasts and football and we were served so promptly. I have to give a special mention to the kitchen team for the buffet we received !!! The food was outstanding and there was so much of it … the best buffet I personally have experienced and so very reasonable … The service was impeccable, and a massive thank you to the friendliest and most competent bar team I’ve come across in a long time. Thank you to Joe, Cem, Evie and Hugo and sorry if I have missed anyone out … I’m so glad I went with my gut and cancelled the venue I had booked and chose the Ranelagh instead. The food, the drinks, the team are a real credit to the venue !!! We all had a fantastic time !!! Thank you

We went for Sunday roasts and they were delicious - mum had the beef and we had the veggie nut roast. All really good and the staff are fabulous.

Not child friendly. Sat in the corner in an empty pub on a Sunday afternoon and a couple chose to sit right next to us, they seemingly were frustrated with our tired four year old making some noise but rather than moving, being understanding or dealing with it politely they called us ‘f***** idiots’. The gentlemen then proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t welcome as we were leaving, and that kids shouldn’t be allowed. He was extremely aggressive and the bar staff did nothing to help resolve or diffuse the situation but rather blamed us. Served a purpose - an empty, spacious place to feed a family of 5 or so we thought. Won’t be visiting again. Wine was decent, food was pretty below average.

Quality Sunday roast in a friendly environment. Friendly and efficient staff, and good local vibes. Nice read features inside, and a large outdoor space, which rocks when the weather’s good.

The food here is lovely and plentiful. Extra gravy on offer for Sunday roast. The staff are helpful and friendly. No chocolate ice cream which is a must for the kids! Plates could have done with being warmed to keep the food hotter. Will happily go back in the future.

I had my 30th birthday at the Ranelagh and the team were so helpful from the get go - advising on space and food for 55 people, making sure we got the best value for money. On the day they let us decorate our area and took the time to make sure we had everything we needed - including organising a separate vegan meal for one of my guests. The food was delicious and there was lots of it - I really recommend the buffet! The staff couldn't do more for us - special thanks to Ian and Mirko for all your hard work! Also the pub looks great after being recently refurbished. Thank you for making the day so special!

Amazing toasted chicken,cheese & avocado sandwich is usually served with fries for £8. But a lovely staff member recommended to upgrade only for £1 to triple cooked chips. As well they do a sandwich & drink deal. You can choose from 4 different sandwiches and add a soft drink , beer or red/white wine. Overall amazing atmosphere great food and nice service. What more do you need. Definitely coming back.

Yo y otros 5 miembros de mi familia visitamos el Ranelagh para la comida de mi cumpleaños número 50 de mi madre. Nos sentamos en un rincón de 2 mesas pequeñas y redondas, que eran muy inestables y no un espacio muy cómodo para cenar (si solo fueran bebidas, entonces no sería tan malo). El personal era amable pero extremadamente ocupado, lo que hacía que olvidaran algunos de nuestros pedidos de bebidas y eliminara las comidas equivocadas. This is my local pub and we have been going there for over a decade. The new refurbishment is fantastic. The decor is grogeous. They have updated the menu as well which now includes a new, more affordable sandwich menu. I popped in recently for a solo lunch and enjoyed the chicken sandwich with chips and drink. It was delicious and I was very complimentary to the chef. The beauty of the Ranelagh isn’t only the lovely service and great food but also how they welcome families and host many children’s classes throughout the week. I highly recommend it!

El Ranelagh ha sido nuestro local durante años, aunque no somos muy frecuentes los visitantes habituales. Probablemente visitamos media docena de veces al año. El lugar se cerró recientemente por reformas, y esperábamos con ansias la reapertura, aprovechando la oportunidad de un cumpleaños familiar para la cena.

Reservado para un cumpleaños familiar Domingo almuerzo para 8 adultos y 3 niños. Nos asignaron 3 mesas redondas pequeñas en el área de la ventana, lo cual fue un desafío para el espacio de la mesa cuando salieron todas las comidas. Nos preguntamos si necesitábamos hacer un pedido en el bar, pero nos dijeron que era un servicio de mesa. Nos sentamos durante bastante tiempo antes de que se tomaran los pedidos de bebidas, seguidos de nuestros pedidos de comida. Después de una hora y 20 minutos después de llegar, nos sirvieron las comidas de pollo asado o salmón asado (como nos dijeron cuando nos sentamos por primera vez que se habían quedado sin carne). Las comidas fueron decepcionantes ya que no coincidían con la descripción del menú. El menú dice que las comidas se sirven con carne que gotea patatas asadas. This is a lovely pub with a beautiful beer garden however it is over run with children. Today the beer garden was overrun with an actual childrens birthday party - how is a pub ever an appropriate venue for a kids birthday!? There was even a professional princess Elsa. The toilets were disgusting with toilet paper everywhere and had obviously been trashed by unaccompanied children. I understand that pubs need to appeal to all groups of people but surely you could make a part of the garden child free preferably fenced off?! This has the potential to be such a nice pub however I'm loath to return.

I went recently two times with my twin friends cause pub is near to our homes and is nice place to chat chill out and discuss in general whatever funny things or serious things.

My wife and I were staying with my daughters friend near to this pub, we ate there one night and it was OK typical pub grub, the staff were nice and friendly. We also had drinks there on a couple of occasions en route home.

We've lived round the corner for 3 years and would love for this to be a great boozer - it's a decent building, big garden and shows sport. The beer is good - wide variety and changes frequently. But the food is dire. I had chicken wings once - they were feeble, stringy, damp little lumps of meat, awful. Sausage and mash, horrible. Burger, dry. If the food was halfway good, we'd be here twice a week. As it is, we come 3/ 4 times a year and just walk further to eat out (the Step, the Prince). And the toilets are pretty disgusting. Such a shame!

A very decent pub for a drink in the evening but often let down by the inconsistency of the food. Sometimes it is okay, sometimes it is poor and once in a while it has been good. It is part of a wider chain so you will almost certainly recognise the style of the place and the menu but I would say The Ranelagh is one of the better examples. If you want a busy, buzzing pub serving decent beer and wine and with a big beer garden then this place is great. If you're looking for a bit of finesse in your food to go with your drinks, it is probably not the best place. Becomes chaotically creche like on weekends - and we have kids ourselves!

Fuimos en un tranquilo Domingo con la familia, con dos niños pequeños. El tiempo de espera a que llegara nuestra comida era absolutamente horrible. Llegó 40 minutos entrantes pero luego tarda otros 50 principales por lo menos. La última persona fue mi hambre sobrino joven que quería ir a casa y comer. Su plato era un entrante compuesto de pan, chorizo y gambas, así que difícilmente algo que esperas tener que esperar. El personal de los miembros de la que hablamos sobre el atraso de los clientes echaron un montón de pero las mesas estaban al menos medio vacío, y lo considero un día tranquilo. La comida era de calidad regular y mucho fue dejado sin tocarla en el final.

Una buena selección de vinos, cervezas, etc., y el menú es mucho mejor. Pero no importa qué hora del día/vas, ocupado o tranquilas, el personal que deje en este lugar. La mayoría son amables algunos claramente no, pero todas son parece un poco desinteresado como su pedido es interrumpir su charlar - generalmente con los otros. Un gran pub, gente agradable decepción por mala comida. Domingo almuerzo debe ser caliente, no hirviendo pero no sirve en platos fríos, así que la comida está por debajo de la temperatura del cuerpo. Reservamos con antelación y cenamos allí. Pollo asado gran comida era muy sabrosa, pero tenía muchas espinas diminutas. La berenjena no estaba bien preparado. . . También difícil comer. Las zanahorias eran agradables. Salsa era sabrosa. Tarta de chocolate del desierto estaba bien pero no había fruta llegó con él. Acompañamiento de helado de coco era genial, pero me gustaría que hubiese más como la tarta era muy rica. . . No podía comer mucho.
