The Rain Grill in Tonbridge and Malling

Ordered food twice in a row from these guys. Food was cooked well, tasty and large portions. Only thing I could say is salt content was high in the kofte. Will return however.

We have just bought food from The Rain Grill in West Malling and are very happy we have. This Will now be our go to for Kebabs or takeaway Burgers as the food is perfectly cooked, lovely, great portion sizes and overall exceeded our expectations. The staff are very polite and friendly and the only thing to note is they don't take cards so be sure to have cash on you. 5* + imo and highly recommended.

How hard can it be to take an order and put it in a bag ? Got home and half of the order not there. Poor

Great food great service I dont live around here but I would certainly come back for more of the lovely food. Mixed kebab and chips was my order and I would recommend it to anyone who cant decide what to have the large portion was more than enough for my huge appetite.

If you're after one of the many variety of kebabs available as standard kebab fare then this is the kebab place to get it. The staff are always friendly and the food is always tasty and very reasonably priced. The chicken kebab is a favourite with their own secret blend of herbs and spices.

Lovely food. Very impressed. Speedy service and you can see it all being prepped in front of you. Cash only, so be prepared.

New to the area and tried here yesterday. Had a combo kebab and a box of doner. We agreed, the best we'd had. Chips were cooked to perfection also. Definitely, added to the list of myst go again.

The children wanted kebabs which were nice enough but we were massively put off before we ate them! We ordered and then waited outside while the food was being prepared. We watched someone come out, have a cigarette and then go straight back in and back to work without stopping to wash their hands. Really off putting and it would’ve taken a few minutes to stop and wash their hands. Really put off and made us question the rest of the hygiene if this basic measure wasn’t taken. Not the first time we’ve seen this and hoped the first time was a one off, but clearly not.

My children wanted a kebab, so I ordered and then waited outside as I had the dog with me. Really didn’t like seeing the guy come outside, have a cigarette and walk straight back in and start serving without first stopping at a sink to wash his hands. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I then watched him handle food and money, again no gloves and no hand wash from his cigarette or the money. The kids said the chicken kebab was okay but we won’t be going back again if they can’t even manage basic hygiene. Really disgusting to watch and then give to my children!

Khazi….this place used to be a right nice place.. just got a kebab from here. Asked for doner meat and ended up with a pitta bread with more chewy fat than anything else.

Went there for the first and last time today, the chicken was dry and the salad was minuscule not enough for a mouse and we won’t mention the chips. 🤬🤬

First and last time I’ve been here. Worst kebab I’ve ever had, the chicken was dry, burnt and inedible. The salad mainly consisted of red cabbage with 2 floppy bits of cucumber and 2 slices of the end of a tomato. Steer Clear!

First time ordering tonight so ordered a large meat and chips. This is what you get for £7!! Won’t be going back total rip off

Had to give one star to put review on not even a 0 avoid at all costs staff are rude and sign in shop saying only cash when I asked why said we make the rules must be a tax fiddle did not say that on phone when order was made I did not have cash and was told quite rudely no cash no food staff smoke right outside hygiene is very bad They don’t care in there for the customer

I don't understand why most people a raving about this place. Just got a fresh donner meat and chips and it was awful. Meat was cold, chips were soggy and this was all cooked whilst I was waiting for it. Salad portion was shocking too. Definitely won't be going back. I went out my way to go there too as lots of people recommended it. Don't go is all I say.

Love this place so much, never had bad food from here, it is all delicious. The staff are always chatty and great to talk to.

I have just bought a kebab from here. Whilst waiting outside, social distancing, I had the pleasure of watching two members of staff take a smoke break sitting on the steps of the building next door. Both made telephone calls on their mobile phones. I was gob smacked to watch both members of staff re enter the shop and immediately start serving again. Neither of them washed their hands before handling food containers and serving food. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. DO THESE IDIOTS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, BEARING IN MIND THAT THERE IS A COVID PANDEMIC AT THE MOMENT?

When we moved to the area 12 years ago this was by far the best kabab shop we’d ever been to. Sadly over the years it’s changed hands and just deteriorating year on year. In the last year we have been using Ali Met which is new to the area and there is no comparison that Ali Met has probably taken all there business. sorry to say this but it’s factual. I bought a kabab last night and it smelt like cat food and didn’t taste any better so after two mouthfuls I chucked it in the bin. I will not be returning.

Great kebab shop. Ordered my two small chicken kebabs with extra salad, one small chicken kebab with burger sauce and 3 portions of chips... They knew this already as I order it regularly. But, what’s this I hear? How did this happen? I ended up with an extra pot of salad. Another massive bonus! Loved it

Just realised I have been visiting The Rain Grill for 20 years. Staff always friendly (how the manger remembers my order always a surprise!) food dependable and portions substantial. The shops and restaurants around it seem to come and go, but the Rain Grill remains as reliable as ever.

Consistently great food, the guys that work there are friendly. I will go out of my way to get food from here over other kebab shops in the area.

Since new owners the place has gone downhill!! The kebab is over cooked as well the quantity of it there’s nothing in it even though your paying high prices. Shame as they was good this isn’t a one off.

We have recently moved our usual kebab to here. They are incredibly friendly and have competitive prices. Fantastic sized portions and the food is lovely. Thick cuts of meat and fresh crunchy salad. Highly recommend!!

Whilst working down in Kent I’ve tried a few kebab shops and have to say this was fantastic, great salad generous portion and retained its heat to get back to my digs. Well done I will be repeat visiting whenever I’m working down here.

Situated snack in the middle of West Malling, this has to be the best kebab in the land. Always busy and well priced, the various meats are laid out for your choice. Friendly and informative with a very wide ranging menu this place has it all. If stick to the traditional kebabs, shish, sheftali etc but the lamb is excellent. Well worth a visit'

Above average kebab shop, no frills but great lamb shish, however can get busy on Friday/Saturday nights so is often a long wait, but its certainly worth it

Siempre he sido un ventilador enorme de esta casa kabab! Es el mejor de la zona con diferencia!! Buena comida! Pero el servicio que recibí la noche pasada era pésima! La comida era buena pero la manera en que el joven amigo encontré fue muy grosero cuando estoy pagando por un servicio... El servicio no es todo acerca de la comida es sobre cómo tratar al cliente en este momento me sentí como un inconveniente!! Este no es el camino de un cliente debe sentir!! Realmente espero que el propietario ve este comentario como la buena comida que sirven deben ser disuadido por un servicio tan podrido!!!

This has always been a good kebab shop but has gone a bit lighter on portions recently. Also what has happened to the peppers and onions on the shish lads?! Not as good as it once was, sorry

This is a great locally run Turkish Kebab shop right in the centre of West Malling. The food is always freshly prepared over charcoal right in front of you. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Good value for money.

Very poor meat, tght on the portions. It all seems to be about speed of service rather than food quality. Thre are 3 better ones in the area. Ditton, East Malling and Larkfield and at least 2 deliver.

We often come to the Rain Grill when I am home late from work or cooking is too much hassle. It's a good local kebab shop and a bit healthier than some (as it's freshly grilled) chains and the staff are great.The chicken shish kebabs are a winner here, I highly recommend them. My only slight criticism is that the lamb meat for the lamb shish could be a bit leaner sometimes.

Real kebabs cooked on a charcoal grill. I visit just about every week consistently good. Chicken quality is excellent

Never had a bad kebab from here. Always cooked fresh. Sauces and marinade are delicious. Staff always pleasant. The rating for atmosphere is a bit skewed as it is not a sit down place but a kebab takeaway. Clean always.

We get a takeaway kebab from here every Friday and love it.Always very polite and friendly.Helep is really nice so is the donor.I would recommend this takeaway.

Incredible quality and service. I walked in and, 30 seconds later, I walked out with a piping hot kebab, ready to eat! Amazing taste and carefully presented, ready to take away. Real value for money!

Pile out the 5 Pointed or Lobster Pot and roll over to the Rain Grill for some unadulterated, unpretentious grub. Chilli sauce?
