A fine dining experience surrounded by exquisite history. The menu offers some exciting options with finely crafted starters, mains and desserts, all of unique flavour and combination. The steaks are scrumptious. Be prepared to pay a fine penny but the quality of service and food speaks for itself. The staff are evidently trained to a high standard and are even keen to give you more on the history, if you ask.

The atmosphere was relaxing and the setting was humble, particularly for such a high level of cuisine. Again, I would like to thank Menna for her fantastic service and I’m sure fellow diners would agree that her knowledge and guidance adds to a super overall experience when dining at Quality Chop House.

Worst customer service I have experienced in London. To be clear the review has nothing to do with the food or atmosphere. 40 minutes I was seated and was still not able to order. I walked out, admittedly lost my cool but after a long day of fasting to then not be served after that long, all this knowing the steaks/chops take another 40-60 minutes on top was just too much to take when starving. Then they had the gall to try and blame me for not saying anything sooner, it was a Tuesday after Easter, I was seated with direct eye line to the door that staff were coming in and out of, and the place wasn’t busy at all, utter denial and honestly the staff are quite hilariously entitled and rude. Just know if you’re visiting London there’s a high probability they will ruin your evening. I believe in things happening for a reason and luckily for me St John around the corner saved my sanity, I recommend visiting them you could learn a thing or two about basic attentiveness and manners. Couldn’t pay me to revisit, never again, truly an utter disgrace and a shambles. Urge anyone reading who’s considering attending to go to Hawksmoor or Goodman instead, you’ll thank me later.

I was desperately seeking a restaurant that served treacle tart for dessert because my son was obsessed with trying Harry Potter's favorite food. I booked a table a few weeks in advance of our one night in London. Imagine my disappointment when I checked the menu a little closer to our reservation and saw that the menu had changed and treacle tart was no longer offered! One message to the restaurant later, they happily agreed to make one for us. We enjoyed everything, but the smoked cod roe, black pudding, and confit potatoes were standouts. And we were so happy to finish our meal with the promised treacle tart! It was a wonderful meal and I was very grateful that they were able to accommodate us. If I return to London for a longer visit I'll be sure to eat here again!

Excellent! I dined with a colleague and we were both exceptionally impressed with the food, wine and ambience of this place. The Sirloin was just delicious and served with highly appetizing sides (confit potatoes), wine recommendation was perfect (Californian Zinfandel - the wine list in general is rich and diverse), and the service was very welcoming and engaging. We even got a private booth next to the kitchen which made the experience even more pleasant. We had both heard of this place a lot, but this was our first time and it more than lives up to it's name. I can't recommend it enough and will definitely return!

Service was poor, was sat right in bar very loud. No steaks on offer without a huge amount of fat . Wasn’t asked how my steak would be cooked, no steak sauces. Potatoes tasted like they had been reheated. Alcohol was very over priced / drinks in general. Server gave us the wrote bill and didn’t even apologise when the amount on the machine was much higher. Wait for steak after finishing starters was 1 hour 10 ( much more than we anticipated was getting bored ) . Booked for my birthday and seem to be given worse table in restaurant .

The Quality Chop House is a very special place and what follows sounds like hyperbole, but isn’t. Back again (3rd year) to celebrate my son’s birthday, this time his 18th. Food - Hereford T-Bone, confit potatoes & purple sprouting broccoli - was truly outstanding, so delicious my taste buds were struggling to keep up with the flavours! The birthday card, signed by all the staff working that day, is a lovely touch… (he now has a collection!) The house red was excellent, as was the service. I usually love this restaurant but last night I ordered lamb and it was practically raw. I didn't complain because we'd waited for quite a long time and I was having a conversation with a friend and didn't want to interrupt it. The noise level was really high. The noise level was so high by the end of the meal I could hardly hear my friend speak, she was sitting right next to me at a tiny table. What a shame. I will go again and see if it's better next time.

When we gobbled down the donuts, staff was quick to ask if we wanted another servings of donuts, attentive to change our used cutleries to new ones and helpful to take the plate from us when one of us wanted the steak to be more cooked. I have been coming to the QCH for years - even before it was discovered! I think the biggest problem you have is the acoustics - we enjoyed a long lunch on Thursday and the most enjoyable bit was after 14:30 when the restaurant was emptying and we, the stragglers, could enjoy our conversation. Otherwise the staff were excellent the food was great, the wine list is a bit toppy but very interesting — perhaps you might expand your selection of wines by the glass? Thanks

Rectified by the manager but disappointing. I’ve been for a roast a few times and always recommend it to others. On this occasion, if wasn’t good. Average starters (used to love the steak tartar; quiche felt like a downgrade); gravy very salty. We didn’t eat the desserts as neither the sticky toffee pudding or the lemon meringue choux were good (dry and flavourless). Unfortunately, no one checked back on us so it wasn’t rectified during the meal. The manager was gracious and resolved at the end of our dinner. Disappointed as I was so looking forward to this and treating my boyfriend as his first time. Wishing the team all the best in resolving the issues though as genuinely, it used to be my favourite roast in London.

Only downer was the black pud taster. Not my style( my fault, not QC's ) as I'm in to cylindrical, Stornaway, barley type...without the gravy. But the apple puree with it was ace. We came here for the Sunday lunch to celebrate a significant milestone and were not disappointed. We had the three course set menu, plus a drink each and a couple of ‘snacks’, totalling around £80 per person, including service charge. So yes, it isn’t ‘cheap’ per se, but the staff are lovely and the food was both high quality and plentiful, rendering it good value from our perspective. We shared the lamb shoulder as our main, and even took some home, as we were getting full and wanted to save space for pudding. We hope to return once or twice a year as a treat, although if we could justify the expense (and find a booking slot) we’d go every week.

Never a bad time at the Quality Chop House especially when you get an invite to dine with Ash Best (GM of the restaurant!) on Burns Night. Warm, welcoming, fabulous, attentive but not fussy/stuffy service from the front of house team. Fantastic cooking from Nathan and kitchen - food is always on point. Dishes well executed, tremendous detail, care and consideration when putting things together. That's why it's a regular spot - there was absolutely no room for my favourite Barnsley chop this time (which is often taken as a dessert 😁) Understandably a popular restaurant - I am blessed to live in London and have access to many great eateries which QCH is one. Highly recommended to anyone on the fence, try something different - I've still yet to have beef at this place purely because the pork and lamb have been so good!

Went for a Sunday roast this weekend have was really disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. We were really excited about trying this institution and splurged for the chateaubriand at Sunday lunch. A £75/pp, one would expect the food to be generous in portion and hot as a baseline - neither of those things were true. V small portion, lukewarm sides, potatoes that were maybe crispy a few hours back were served rubbery and, even when asked if we could get a fresh batch, the ones they sent back were no better. Starters, desert and wine was great - but wouldn’t go back for lunch when there are so many great pub lunches available in central London for a fraction of this price.
