A quick stop in for a 'wet'. Excellent coffee blend, and the brownie was to die for! Not in an obvious location, for lots of passing footfall. If it were, it would be a very popular stop.

Just popped in for a quick hot chocolate/ coffee .Nice hot chocolate/coffee quick friendly service. It's also nice to be able to sit outside Sat inside today nice and cosy ,hot chocolate and coffee still good and the brownie!

Hidden gem in Gosport. Gosport should have more of these independent, good quality spots. Coffee tastes amazing. Staff is always kind. A free small cookie is a nice bonus. I also had panini for lunch. It was perfect lunch. I wish they open longer.

Lovely little place, celebrated my mum's birthday with an afternoon tea here. Cakes and sandwiches were delicious and plentiful. We had some dietary and allergy requirements which was catered for without any issues. Leftovers were boxed up to take home with us. Would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.

Nick from the pump house is so accommodating of our club ‘Gosport Pickleball club’. The service and food is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend visiting the Pump House

A great place for coffee and cake. Food is good. Staff are friendly. Lacks indoor space. But plenty of outside seating. Plus some sheltered Could do with being open more often.

I had a wonderful experience here and it was largely thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. It's refreshing to encounter such great customer service, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for lovely food and service.

What a fantastic find! Hidden amongst historic buildings and with a view of the Spiniker, beautiful flowers and cosy interior. Delicious food, fantastic coffee, and scrumptious cake's! Definitely worth getting lost for.

I have eaten here a number of times, bought takeaways and the food/coffee is always good. Nick works really hard to offer delicious food with quality ingredients and never disappoints. The staff are friendly and the cafe is warm and comfortable with outside seating when weather allows.

Although a cold day when we went to the Pump House, the really hot soup was delicious and warmed us up quickly. Would highly recommend the food.

I visited after reading about the legendary sausage rolls, how disappointing to discover they are no longer cooked sure to lack of demand. However it was still a worthwhile visit, great coffee, very friendly staff, lovely location (sadly no sea views) and the cakes looked fabulous luckily the force was strong in this one today and I resisted.

Fantastic door stop sandwichs and great quiche, loved the care and the quality of food and drinks, the place is a gem.

Popped in for a coffee whilst house hunting......why did i never know this was here ?? The lady who served us (we visited on a Saturday) was very friendly, full of suggestions and advise on the area, the coffee was EXCELLENT !! This is my go-to for a crispy bacon sandwich (ciabatta). The homemade cakes are incredible too! Staff are always so friendly! I love it here.

We visited on a Heritage day. The food was really good value, tasty, delightful service. We were lucky as it didn't rain as tables were outside and inside is a bit limited.

This was hands down the best bacon sandwich of my life. The ciabatta was the perfect balance of soft and crispy, the butter warm and melty and the bacon just divine. We came across this place by chance whilst in the area and haven’t stopped talking about that sandwich since. Worth a trip to gosport just for this in my opinion.

Fantastic service and food. I had the sausage roll. It was probably the best sausage roll I have ever had. My wife had a ham and mustard sandwich on brown bread. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this cafe.

Another visit just for coffee. The bacon rolls looked amazing. Had to try one /two. My goodness enormous rolls filled with hot delicious bacon. VERY VERY reasonable too. Lovely to sit outside, under an enormous canopy, served by friendly and welcoming friendly faces. A gem of a place.

We stumbled across this little gem and so glad we did. Menu was not large but the food we ordered and that we saw being delivered both looked and tasted fantastic. Cheese, chutney and apple sandwich, chocolate brownie and banana bread, plus the lovely little touch of a shortbread biscuit with your coffee. ( plus an extra one for my 6 year old daughter so she didn’t feel left out. ) Lovely, attentive but not over the top service and just wished we lived local so that we could return sooner rather than later. Well worth a visit to anyone in the area.

This is the first time that I have visited the Cafe and was very impressed. The service was very quick and very friendly. My husband and I had soup (parsnip and carrot), served with a roll. I would highly recommend this café and will certainly return.

We have been using this excellent coffee shop for about a year now. We love the friendly atmosphere and brilliant service we get every time. We took our four year old granddaughter today and she told Nick he made the most amazing cakes. We agree with her 100%.

What a fantastic find! I found this little place after searching on line for somewhere I could get afternoon tea to take away for an anniversary treat while away in Gosport for a few days. I emailed my order through for collection in a few days time and we collected afternoon tea for 4 all boxed up and ready for us as requested. It was amazing!! ( easy parking too) Unbelievable value for Money at £10 each. Fresh cut sandwiches with beautiful fillings. Home made sausage rolls. Amazing scones, jam and cream. Home made mini Victoria sponge, chocolate brownie and a simply gorgeous little shortbread biscuit. Omg all that for £10! A hidden little gem. All felt safe and clean too. Well done Nick at the pump house! X

We stopped at this quaint coffee shop in Clarence Yard. It’s housed in a small octagonal building with seating for 14 at five tables. A high chair is on hand too. The coffee was superb. A choice of tea and speciality teas or soft drinks are available too. There’s a selection of mouth-watering cakes on display. Conscious of our figures we had to fight temptation to resist sampling them! Service was friendly. Prices are good value. And there’s plenty of free parking! What’s not to like...!

Popped in for a mid-walk break with my daughter, greeted by a smiley chap who turned out to be the owner. Orderd coffee, tea and lemon cake and were not disapointed all homemade including the complimentary shortbread. Would highly recomend The Pump House, small and cosy, plus free parking!

Myself and a friend booked the Italian Night at The Pump House and we had a incredible night. The 3 course meal was delicious and beautifully presented, they had a fantastic selection of wines and reasonably priced to. The owner Nick looked after us extremely well and was pleasant to talk too. We had such a lovely evening. Looking forward to Burns Night in January.

Lovely place for coffee/lunch/cakes. Today I had a tuna melt panini and it was delicious...so far resisted the cakes but they look so tempting. Independent place slightly hidden but loads of parking so try if you want a change from the chains :)

This is a very interesting building with both inside and outside seating. The coffee was really excellent and the home made biscuit was divine. The owner was friendly and chatty which was nice. Well worth a visit if you are nearby

We had a lovely 3 course meal plus cheese for afters. Food was great and alot of it! Good choice of drinks, all very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere and friendly owners- Nick and Kayleigh. Will defo visit again.

Better than before. Now under New management. Started the day off with a bacon sandwich and cappuccino coffees. Went back this evening with friends for their one of their special supper evenings. Food was FABULOUS. Ambience is lovely too and we were made to feel so welcome. Couldn't fault the food. If you haven't tried it's a must. Can't wait to go back. We visited here today and it has since changed hands since our last visit.It is a lovely little quiet spot in a unique building. The service and food was very good and reasonably priced. We are glad to see they continue to use the same good coffee. We do live some distance so unfortunately cannot visit as much as we would like.

Visited here at 8.30 am on a Saturday morning after visiting Gosport harbour to photograph an outbound ship. Lovely cup of coffee (good sized cup) and a bacon ciabatta roll which was delicious. Tables available inside but we sat outside in the sunshine which was very pleasant. Friendly service too. We were very pleased the cafe opened early as a lot of places don't open until 10.00. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped off here for food on recommendation from a friend. Quirky building in historic Royal Clarence Yard. Outdoor seating for nice weather.

We have been using the pump house since it opened. We absolutely love the special Autumn suppers that Heather does, and her cakes and souls are second to none. Do yourself a favour, don't take my word for it, get along there and try it, you will NOT be disappointed

Called in for coffee after a morning shopping. Very welcoming and excellent service. The coffee was excellent as was the home made cake. The menu offers a good range of healthy food available from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. Although room inside is limited, there is ample seating outside. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Food is great but overpriced for the places location. Your either sat inside a very small cafe or outside in the middle of a car park. The owner is very abrupt and has put me off coming back

When some1 said it was pump house I though me n Gazza were down 4 a rave but it turned out that it is actually a decent jam donut place ya get me. It twas alright. Would be down 4 some sponsorship.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. The menu is fairly limited which to me is excellent as I would rather choose from a few well prepared dishes than a catalogue of freezer to microwave food. My husband was delighted with a fishfinger sandwich, while I had avocado on toasted homemade bread with roasted tomatoes. Delicious. Service was excellent.

We keep coming back because... the food is great - homemade and tasty, and it’s such a friendly place, we are recognised and remembered each time, referring back to something from a previous visit. Oh, and the coffee and wine is good too- very important!

Waited 20 minutes for a coffee this morning. When chased, was told they had 20 cups of tea to make; there were not 20 people sat outside and the 2 people who had ordered tea, waited 25 minutes and out came 2 cups with hot water and tea bags; hardly takes that long to put hot water and a tea bag in a cup! Asked how much longer it would take and was told next on the list. Said didn't have time to wait, so refund literally thrown at me. Absolutely appalling! Will NEVER return.

Tucked away from the main town this little cafe makes for a peaceful change. It does not have an extensive menu but that's because everything appeared to be freshly made and therefore is great for those wanting to know exactly what the ingredients are. On top of this there was a great selection of home made cakes.

We were given a warm welcome when we visited for coffee and cake. We do like a good cup of coffee and we were not disappointed. The coffee walnut cake was lovely and moist. We enjoyed our visit and sat outside.

Found this whilst searching Trip Advisor for breakfasts in Gosport THEY DON'T DO BREAKFAST. when asked buy the waitress what we wanted (breakfasts) was rudely told "not here you won't" she then rudely denied that tripadvisor had said otherwise and demanded that we prove it, and whilst we walked away kept asking why we didn't want to help her. Very rude and uninviting shall not go back.

A small but very welcoming spot hidden away near the town centre, the ladies here always greet with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. The menu offers something different to the usual lunch time fare. The best bit is the cakes, scummy. The building is small and doesn't have a lot of tables, but plenty of room outside on warmer days and it's lovely and quiet. Coffee is good and prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Found this place as i was visiting the yacht marina in the Clarence yard, originally went in for some breakfast but unfortunately they do not supply same....however there is a great range of other foodstuffs, cakes,bagels etc with various toppings including cream cheese, avocado, pancetta....and a range of teas and coffee. What i had was good,although a little overpriced, but this is a very friendly place with seating outside on a sunny day.

We found the Pump House by accident on a visit to Royal Clarence Yard. It was pouring with rain. All we wanted was a cup of coffee. But we received the warmest of welcomes, were given insider information about what to see in the Yard, and were offered (and loved) amazing home made cake.

Yes, so lovely with warm warm welcome is lovely stop off any time of day. Is noticeable hearing other tables satisfaction at everything from "excellent service" to a lady exclaiming her delight by her latte's crema, honestly best I have tried n I hav tried many. Thanku ladies for being there and doing what u do, much appreciated. X

Having heard about the Pump House and it's excellent food, I popped in for a smoked salmon and avocado bagel and coffee.

Love this place lunch or dinner. Food is second to none. Staff always so friendly. Heather is always so accommodating. Love going here when we vksit Gosport. Do visit you wont be dissappointed! Mega find. Love it

Have been by this place many times but never stopped in. Finally got the chance today and can't believe we waited so long. Had a fish finger sandwich and a coffee that was amazing! Will definitely be back for more especially the cakes. They were hard to pass up. Hats off to the staff too. They were really friendly.

Walking from the explosion museum back to the ferry attempting to skirt the harbour side you end up in a smart housing development created from old naval buildings next to Royal Clarence Marina, at first it seems a dead end but if you persevere you end up in a large car park (F.O.C. for the first 4 hours) and at the far (Weevil Lane) end there is an old pump house building with chairs outside - a lovely cafe bursting with home made cakes and savouries. It was "brunch time" and I had a chunky sausage roll with a glass of Pinot Noir Rose - try it!

Had a family lunch here while visiting the navy museums in Gosport. Found it by chance after seeing the sandwich board at the traffic lights. Between us we sampled a good few items off the menu and all were delicious.

This is a great place with home made cakes and food and great coffee. Its got a great location just outside the main part of Gosport and parking outside is easy.

Car parking available not far from sea views over harbour.table and chairs outside as well so can take your dog

We've been going to the Pump House cafe ever since it re-opened last year. Delicious home-made cakes, very good coffee, interesting and varied lunch options. Warm on cold and windy days (like today), bright and airy on warm sunny days. We love it! The Friday evening 'Kitchen Suppers' are delicious. The Pump House gets a lot of variety into what is quite a cosy space. Very friendly atmosphere. A good place to meet friends.

What a great find! We had a lovely lunch here last week - the homemade leek & potato soup and lemon drizzle cake were delicious.

Homemade cakes and sandwiches are terrific. I had a Thai curry which was just the right portion size and 'hotness' for lunch. Highly recommended.
