This place is heads & shoulders above any other place in Nottingham, I absolutely LOVE it! 👌🏼 Me, my partner and our new baby visit often, every time we’re in town, and each and every time the food, drinks & service are faultless 🫶🏼 The food is absolutely delicious and the service is the best I’ve experienced, so much so that I actually told the manager and staff how amazing they all are when I was there just a few days ago ☺️ Credit where credits due, this place is awesome, I very highly recommend and if I could give more than 5 stars then I definitely would ⭐️ Unique & quirky places of this standard are few and far between these days 👌🏼

Jeepers. And I'd already eaten half of it. Vegan carrot cake - surely two of your five a day. Good, earthy coffee too.

Food was nice and the pancakes are really fluffy, just wish everything was served hotter as the food went cold really fast. Place is nicely decorated but a bit cramped and they play music so it can get quite loud.

Treat gor Mothers day. Beautifully present perfect cream tea. Had family problem and ? Manager was incredible very kind and helpful.Service from all other staff was very good too.

Amazing afternoon tea for Mothers Day! We felt very welcomed and looked after, great service. Really innovative food instead of the usual sandwich’s it was a lovely change for quiche, pita, sausage roll etc. Overall a wonderful visit with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

My go to place for pancakes!!! Love the food although I have noticed that portions are now reduced in size. Kids friendly too as I often take my daughter and the staff has always been 🥰

My girlfriend and I visited The Pudding Pantry in Nottingham city centre on Saturday 2nd March 2024. We had to wait outside for approximately 20 minutes for a table to become available. Once seated, we patiently waited an hour for our food, which was considerably longer than expected. However, the most disappointing aspect was the quality of the meal itself. The entire breakfast was tepid, suggesting that it had been left out for an extended period. The bacon lacked crispiness, the eggs and sausages were notably small, and the pancakes were dry and took up most of the plate. While I don't mind waiting for a cooked meal, I had expected that the meal would be served hot and with the quality you typically offer. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our visit.

Great vegetarian breakfast, bacon and sausage were amazing! French toast also fab, fruit was fresh and good quality. Service was excellent, staff friendly and really looked after us, Thank you so much!

Nice and cosy little place for breakfast/brunch in Nottingham City Centre. The meals are delicious with massive portion sizes - pancakes make it extra filling. Although the atmosphere was a bit cramped, it was lovely and well decorated. We ordered the following: •The Full Pantry (with extra egg) •Ham Hock Hash (with extra eggs) •Apple Crumble •Homemade Chai Major downside is the service which can be extremely slow when busy - was ignored by some staff who avoided eye contact. The other staff were quite welcoming though. Nevertheless, worth a visit for the experience and I would go again, maybe at a quieter time!

If you want to have a late brunch this chain is serving after 4pm brunch which other restaurants in Notts don’t do. The food is nice but not the best I’ve had However beverages are very good Good value for quantity There is always some waiting time but the waiters are very kind and quick.

Lee and George were brilliant and made sure we were looked after. We had the bottomless afternoon tea and it was delicious! Not your typical afternoon tea as they had pastries and quiche as well as sandwiches. The Prosecco was left with us so we could top up as much as we liked throughout our 90 minutes (we weren’t rushed out at the end). Could also have tea alongside it if we wanted. We both really enjoyed it and would go back! Would definitely recommend booking in advance especially for weekends. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere as it was a bit cramped!

Went for an early morning snack with my son before a long journey home. Ordered bacon rolls, pancakes and milkshakes. Took a while to arrive and people who arrived after us were served first. Bacon roll was ok, pancakes were very disappointing. It was a stack of dough, completely inedible. Tasted sour. The banana on the side was black and the icecream portion was less than half scoop. It was all left uneaten. No care or attention given to the fact the food was not cooked or black banana. The milk shakes were very mild in taste. One Salted caramel and one Strawberry. Tasted the same on both almost no flavour just milk. My son said the best bit was his marshmallows on top! All in all I was very disappointed and we will not be returning. A very expensive error for me.

Great brunch with attentive stuff and great food! I had the pancakes with a side of bacon and a poached egg which were all cooked very well. Would recommend!

Ordered chai latte and pancakes. The chai latte was literally warm water with a bit of ginger and probably a drop of milk in it. The pancakes were disappointing and not properly cooked as well. The maple syrup tasted like it had been watered down or something. Basically not real flavour in anything. This experience reminded me why I don't go to the pudding pantry and don't understand the hype.

The best pancakes i have ever had. Randomly decided to get breakfast here on our trip in Nottingham and it did not disappoint. The portions were massive and it was delicious. The balance of sweetness and saltiness was perfect. Definitely worth a visit for every occasion in Nottingham, planning a visit to Nottingham just to eat here again.

Playing great music quitley in the background. Very quite, other than a the odd other customer, but it was 9.30 on a Monday morning. We were on a weekend visit to Nottingham and this was a wonderful to end our little stay. We will be returning!!

A little disappointed, my daughter was really excited for the pancakes, but neither of us were impressed. The pancakes has no flavour at all and they were so doughy in the middle, I'd say they were undercooked. I did mention it but they said next time i can request them to be cooked for longer, definitely not the light fluffy pancakes we were expecting. The golden syrup wasn't very nice either.

Brilliant breakfast and absolutely fantastic cheese cake! Recommended!

Great little pudding and milkshake shop, part of a independent owned local chain. The staff were super friendly. I came in with my 7 year old to treat him to a milkshake for working so hard on his exams, the staff made him feel special and gave him the best looking milkshake I’ve ever seen. He thoroughly enjoyed it!

Excellent food and service. We had Sunday brunch. Generous portions and pretty reasonably priced. It was busy so we had to wait for a table but worth it.

We love it here. The food is incredible. They have the best pancakes and vegetarian / vegan breakfasts and lots of other vegan options too. The team are always so friendly, especially Lee who is always very warm and kind. Thank you all!

My partner and myself fell lucky finding this place while staying in Nottingham in November. Such a lovely, welcoming cafe and the staff couldn’t do enough. I didn’t know what I fancied so the male waiter very kindly made me a dish with a combination of items. Food was lovely and you can’t go wrong with their hot chocolates, I just wish we had more room for dessert.

Amazing pancakes! Pancakes are really big portions. I particularly liked the apple crumble pancakes. Only 4 stars as the custard that came with it was lumpy, pancakes were lovely.

Not very impressed, ordered three hot chocolates with friends and all three were stone cold. We asked to have them hotter and they came out lukewarm again. By that point we were past wanting the hot chocolates. Not great considering the prices.

Yet another place penalising people who don't do dairy. It's the cost, apparently. Nope. It's discrimination. Went to Nero over the road where they don't insult their customers' intelligence. Not good for vegans, despite the vegan breakfast. They just want your money.

This was my first visit and someone who loves to eat sweet things with a nice cup of tea I was sadly disappointed with the quality of the cakes and even more disappointed with the quantity of tea, it was the smallest cup of tea I have seen in yonks. I didn’t really feel I could complain because the waitress looked like she had already had a pretty bad day and I simply didn’t want to add to her sultry drama. II was really not impressed although sometime in the future I will probably give it another try and see if the waiting staff have improved their service and if I get a bit more water in my tea cup.

Have been twice ..first time excellent but 2nd time pancakes were very salty and very stoggy..like raw dough..maybe new chef but not very nice

We wanted tea and cake and as were passing we looked in, to see it was not very busy. Usually we have to give it a pass as it is very popular. We went in and asked if they had Glutten Free cakes. We were shown a few options so we stayed. After sitting at a table the server appeared and left us a menu. She didn't ask us if we were ready to order, which we were, and left to return to the till area. After waiting a little to long I went to the till to order. Decaf tea and soya milk, no soya milk option so had to settle for oat milk. Not a great loss. I had Earl Grey. With a little milk. We had a piece of Victoria sponge covered in icing. When we were served it was nice to see the staff are aware that when the tea has reach the required strength you have to stop the mash by removing the tea. For which a saucer was provided. Our tea was very nice Christine ate half the cake and left me to finish it off. The cake and buttercream was very nice but I am not a big fan of icing so that took the edge off a little. Also, I guess I am in a minority, I like to be able to hear the person I am with talk to me and not try to lipread because of the level of music. All in all a nice experience and I will certainly go back, if we can get in.

Had the breakfast which had really high quality ingredients and came with 2 fluffy pancakes and maple syrup. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, very efficient service and a lovely atmosphere, full of beautiful fairy lights. Definitely recommend this little gem.

Great find right in the city centre perfect for brunch with heaps of choice. The pancakes are incredible and so are the staff! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Nottingham.

We really enjoyed our visit all staff was great and friendly. Food was amazing and catered for my son who is living with autism . Highly recommend.

The Pudding Pantry is a real gem. Everytime I visit I am reminded why I love it so much. The afternoon tea is delicious and their vegan and vegetarian options are miles better than other places. It is also a great experience with children. Then there are the staff, the friendliest team, who are attentive and accommodating no matter how busy they are. I cannot recommend the Pudding Pantry highly enough.

Came in for tea and cake as it was my daughter’s birthday. As always the service was brilliant. Isobel was very friendly and attentive. My cake was delicious too.

I come to pudding pantry all the time as there really isn’t anywhere quite like it. The food is amazing the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable. I really recommend the pancakes and any of the cakes they are amazing.

Popped in for a cup of hot chocolate only. But when entered inside, I was suddenly feeling like in cake land surrounded by many kinds of handmade pastries. I ordered a piece of delicious cake and coffee forgetting about hot chocolate. Very friendly atmosphere, and some people had American style pancakes that looked amazing. Next time will try their pancakes.

Really attentive and friendly staff. The afternoon was delicious, especially the sundried tomato and asparagus quiche and strawberry shortcake macaron. Great variety and value for money. Will definitely go back again.

I love this little spot. Friendly staff and such good food. Cake was 10/10 - perfectly buttery and just sweet enough, with a tart raspberry jam.

Have visited before for Brunch, which was really good. There was a lot of options to choose from. This time, was just here for coffee to go and a slice of cake. Really nice. For such a small place, this cafe is really good - whenever I've been - there's always a queue which means they're doing something right. Thanks so much. Keep up the good work.

Very bad service, I ordered food for an adult he gave me a child portion and been charged for an adult meal. Also, Today the guy has been racist due to my colour

Sadly this place has gone downhill. After 40 minutes wait the food arrived and it was stone cold and chewy. The table and floor was so sticky. Saw the staff use a dirty wet cloth to wipe all the tables. Will not be back!

We were served by a lovely lady called Sophia. She was great. The service was fantastic and attentive.

Would recommend if looking for a reasonably priced afternoon tea in Nottingham, very quick service lovely staff, food was great would have liked the quiche/sausage roll to be warm but both lovely flavours! Bread was fresh for the sandwich, little scones with cream and jam were so good and the cakes delicious!

Nice little place for breakfast/brunch. Service a tad slow, and some of the bacon was a bit too well done for us, but definitely worth a visit and we would go again! Update: Visited again and the service was terrible - painfully slow, just for coffee and cake! We were seated and then completely ignored for ages... we won't be back!

Came here for dessert, place was empty and usually has a queue so we thought we would try it, milkshakes were really good however pancakes were not cooked properly, bacon was undercooked as well and eggshell was found in the pancake, charged £30 for raw pancakes

Amazing food and service, always love coming here for brunch

Ordered 2x sausage and egg sandwiches, received 2x sausage sandwhiches for £7.90. Sausage was nice but wasn't what I ordered, would return to give it another try, looks nice inside but didn't sit in

The young blonde is about as useful as plastic spoon in a bowl of hot soup! We sat down for twenty minutes waiting to get our order taken after asking the plastic spoon can you take our order she casually continued to polish cutlery for a moment I thought this must be so faulty towers joke No! She said when she’s ready and she doesn’t know when that is! The sweet Asian man served us wanted to leave him a tip but as it’s shared not a chance!!!

Average food, over priced for what we got, tables crammed in together and service was slow, it took at least 15 minutes to get our order taken. Not an issue as we weren’t in a hurry but could’ve been. We won’t be coming back, far better and more competitively dessert/brunch spots in Nottingham such as Yolk, Ugly Bread Bakery, The Kitchen….Coukd go on!

Went with friends to try their food. I had Egg and Bacon Breakfast with pancakes. Loved it! Great menu and very tasty food. Excellent service and very clean venue. First time but not the last for definite. Give it a try!

I had the pulled pork hash. Almost perfect. The pork was seasoned sufficiently but the vegetables were not seasoned enough. If I were to add seasoning then the meat would be under seasoned. Still recommended. Service was fine

I cannot believe I didn't know this little gem was here! I've never had pancakes this good before and the staff were lovely. My little boys really enjoyed there pancake breakfast too! Can't wait to come back xx 😍😋

My son was at NTU and this was one of our favourite places for late breakfast when I came to visit. Their English breakfast with fluffy pancakes, delicious bacon and maple syrup is absolutely delicious! You can’t book, so get there early to avoid long queues, especially when the students are in town.

Staff were pretty rubbish. All seemed young and inexperienced in customer service. Everyone needs to learn but at least be enthusiastic about the work. We ordered something extra for the build your own pancakes because the £2.95 portion of fruit was very small!!! And the girl was standing behind the till on her phone whilst we were waiting for the extra item, meanwhile the pancakes were getting cold. No check back to see if the food was okay. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the food was decent. Service was rubbish. Please re train your staff! Actually, there was a man on shift who was friendly so I would like to highlight this.

Sadly, they cannot make fluffy pancakes. The mixture is incorrect and they come out raw inside. They feel slimy when eating. Tried two different stores, same result. Go to IHOP in the US and grab their mixture/method and I'll be back. Serves nice tea. Nice staff. I paid the bill without complaining to staff as I do not see this issue as their fault.

Different experience worth trying

Went for my birthday brunch and the pancakes did not disappoint! although the large option was not needed on the loaded pancakes as they’re very filling. Good value for money and very tasty. 👍🏼👍🏼

Pudding Pantry is the place to go for over- the-top morning food options. Portion sizes are bloated, and maximum sugar levels are guaranteed. I've never finished a plate in all the occasions I've visited. Thankfully they can box up what you don't finish.

Been a couple times and the food is normally spot on which you would expect for the price. But this time even though it wasn’t as busy as usual we were waiting for 20+ minutes before anyone came to take our order and when they did finally come not a single acknowledgement that they’d served 3/4 tables before us that’d come in after us. Very poor service today.

Lovely welcome by all staff even though they were all very busy, all had time to say hello and ask if everything was fine. I had a sausage sandwich, whilst my wife had eggs and salmon on toast

Very nice brunch at a reasonable cost

I’ve been to Pudding Pantry several times and it’s always great. Fab portion sizes, delicious coffee (iced coffee is just as good), really tasty chai (according to my mum) and a lovely atmosphere for kids. It would be nice if they would offer bookings occasionally as the wait times can be a little long. Service is generally very friendly and fast, and they are accommodating. I would absolutely recommend Pudding Pantry to anyone who is a fan of breakfast and brunch, as well as delicious fresh pancakes and desserts. I’ve yet to try a brownie but I will next time!

We wanted some dessert after dinner and we’re craving some pancakes so we ordered some from Deliveroo. The red velvet pancakes were amazing and still warm even when delivered. All of the parts were amazing together. My youngest daughter had a kids pancake and she enjoyed it very much. This was a first time.. and will not be the last! We will go again with friends and family.

Fabulous brunch with family. Loved I had eggs benedict pancake style which was a first and totally delicious. Good vegan and vegetarian options. Great coffees and juices. Libby waited on our table and was so friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back.

Had afternoon tea with my 3 daughters which was a birthday gift from them. It was absolutely scrumptious! The attention to detail was outstanding with choices of loose leaf tea in China cups, delicate home made pastries and cakes, delicious finger sandwich and savoury quiche and sausage rolls. Honestly, I cannot recommend the pudding pantry afternoon tea enough. It was far better than our recent experience at the Hilton and much more flavoursome! We travelled from Lincoln and will definitely be returning. Thank you to our waiter who just made the visit extra special, we all loved it!

Lush food, I had American Pancakes and my husband had the rhubarb crumble and custard Pancakes. Both were amazing, will definitely go back. Coffee was also spot on!

An absolutely delicious treat in the morning 🤩 I'm not a pancake person, but I guaranty I will be back here again 😍 As it was delicious! Worth to visit. The way Pantry is designed is very cure and cozy. I loved it as soon I put my feet over the threshold. Staff was polite and professional.

We went for lunch and were greeted at the door. We were sat rather quickly which I can imagine wouldn’t happen to everyone as it is rather small inside. We were sat in the middle and found ourselves being nearly bumped into quite often by customers and staff passing by. Not the best seat in the house. We were sat for quite some time - we began to wonder if we were supposed to get up and go to the counter when we realised that there was only one member of staff taking orders and several doing… something else? There seemed to be no system in order-taking as several people who were sat after us were served first and it wasn’t like we were tucked away in a corner out of sight - they had to pass us to do it. When someone finally took our order I wouldn’t say they were overly polite - it felt rushed and awkward. We ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and added sausage and the salted caramel and honeycomb pancakes and some water. The water never arrived. When the food was brought out I raised the water issue and discovered the fridge was right next to us so it could’ve been done straight away with no hassle - they just didn’t for whatever reason. The food was okay - there were little things that added up to it not being perfect for me. Everything was just slightly under-done which lead me to leave half of the sausage because there was a slight pink centre (I wasn’t sure if it was gristle or not as it was really small so I did not raise it). Honestly I didn’t feel there was any real service, there were no pleasantries or check ins which I know some people like but for me, it lacked any form of personality. I’ve read that people found the place rude and I wouldn’t say it was that bad but it definitely wasn’t super welcoming. The food was okay and looked great but not sure if I’d return.

Fabulous some of the best pancakes ever had. Good choice of food even gluten free and was nice to try different toppings. Staff were attentive and welcoming and there was no issue with an assistance dog being allowed. We will definitely be back next time we are in Nottingham. Thank you.

Can’t fault the food, but the service isn’t great. Sat waiting for someone to come & take our order (almost an hour), whilst watching people who arrived after be served. Then ended up having to go up to the til to pay. Felt like we were being being ignored. Staff don’t seem to be working as a cohesive team. I’m sure they could have had two covers at the table during the time we sat there.

My husband organised a surprise birthday party for me here and our server Mannie was absolutely amazing. He was totally in on the surprise and helped to make it really special. There were three babies at the table and was amazing with them. We always have a great a great experience at the pudding pantry but today was the best by far, thank you Mannie!

We had pre-booked a wedding cake taster and discussion with the Head Baker about our requirements for our upcoming marriage later this year. Upon arrival at the store, we were rudely spoken down to and told we had "arrived at the wrong location" despite the booking clearly stating we were to meet at the Trinity Square location. The staff were rude, there was absolutely no follow up and we have since decided to take our business elsewhere. If you are looking for your wedding cake plans to be spoilt, I'd certainly recommend here.

Eggs and mushrooms are good. Pancakes are super doughy and beans taste like something's wrong. I'm a bit worried to try anything else here.
