The Prince Albert in Windsor and Maidenhead

This place used to be wonderful…but now not so. Locals would rave about the Sunday roasts and we’ve had a number over the years. Today though it was depressing. The roast chicken tasted like it was out of a marks and Spencer packet and warmed up. The vegetables were definitely supermarket frozen and the gravy awful. I’m really sad to be be writing such a bad review but this once local jewel (see my previous of it) is now just a shadow of itself. Really depressing they’ve let it go so badly.

I wanted to like this. I really did. A traditional pub that was still serving locals at the bar, so must have had something going for it. It started going wrong when I received orange squash instead of (concentrated) juice - to be fair, they did change it, without fuss. Then the food came. Mine was fine: the vegetarian fajitas - a sizzler, so a bit of a showpiece; and I thought it was fine and generous. My wife went for the fish and chips, but beneath the batter the fish tasted dry and - frankly - old. Because it was a bit hit-and-miss, this is not a place we are likely to try again. Sorry.

Had another Sunday Roast ordered and went to colllect, had a a drink picked up the food, as usual it was brilliant, Great value and taste!

Excellent and comfortable small hotel, good food and drinks. Not too far from central Windsor with their in off-street parking

We stayed here and we enjoyed our stay. It wasn’t the most ritzy place but it makes the England tour more enjoyable. We had dinner in the pub one night and there was about 8 dishes on the menu that weren’t available, so we had limited options

We went for a pre booked meal.The table opposite was served starters and our drinks order was taken,The drinks took several tries to get it right. The cocktails tasted like gone off water and we were then told they were from a premixed draught pump! We eventually got to order.The table opposite had all 3 courses as we repeatedly asked when to expect our food.We didn’t receive answers at first then were told we were next. After waiting over an hour we asked again.We had already said how hungry and tired the children were and were then told it would be another 25 minutes.It was getting too late for the children to eat and we had no confidence we would ever get food. They said it was due to having too many people coming in asking for tables.Nomone else was eating,but maybe they were waiting too.No idea what the chef was do8ng although we saw him out in the car park as we left. We walked out at that point and they ruined a family evening and children were very tired next day due to the late bedtime after we finally found some fast food for them.

Was close to legoland and Windsor, fine to sleep in for a couple of nights, hash browns, sausage and toast were a bit too well done. But other that lovely little pub.

We came after visiting Legoland, the range of food on offer was great for our fussy eaters and us (also tasted great), the staff were very welcoming and service was quick. Reasonably priced and large portions. Would definitely come again if in the area again. Was a lovely venue, clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Plus had a car park which was so handy.

In lockdown we used to get our Sunday roast takeaway from here and it was a delicious treat. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and always dog friendly. It's the perfect location after a long walk in Windsor Great Park.

We had the most wonderful 4 nights staying at the Prince Albert. The staff were all wonderful and kind, particularly to our 2 year old who was suffering with tonsillitis. The chef went out his way to make whatever she wanted/would eat, which we really appreciated. We had no issues during our stay but I’m fully confident if we did they would have resolved it quickly and efficiently. Room was fairly basic but was clean and well kept. We look forward to coming back again!

Always feel confident in having a gluten free meal here but the fish and chips are the absolute best! A lovely welcome on a busy night, made to feel at home and there is never any fuss about ordering gluten free. Comfortable outdoor seating as well as inside and a friendly atmosphere.

We came across this place looking for a bed and breakfast near legoland... We were lucky to have the last room. Having never stayed over or above a pub before I was worried what it was going to be like. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and shown to our room which was lovely, clean and had everything we needed for the night. We went across to the little outside seating area for a drink and chatted to the owner who was so friendly and welcoming. We booked a meal with our family in the evening and it was the best meal ever.... Such a fabulous choice on the menu and the food was delicious.. And the desserts too. Great portions and great value for money. There was also a singer 1st Wednesday of the month.. Who was fantastic and finished off the evening. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was also excellent... Freshly cooked and great quality. The only one negative was it was a little traffic noise in the morning but we expected that it did not however spoil our experience and stay and we would definitely be returning. Thank to all the staff.... An excellent place to stay..... What a gem!!!!

Lovely pub, spotless,comfortable rooms. Staff and management friendly,helpful and efficient. Food very good in fact the best English breakfast I’ve ever eaten!! Lunch and dinner meals were very good, nice portions and value for money. Had a great weekend 👍

We visited the Prince Albert pub and restaurant for our evening meal during our stay at Legoland. The staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a great selection of starters, main meals, light bites and desserts. Our meals came promptly and we all enjoyed our meals throughly. The meals were also great value for money. We will definitely recommend the Prince Albert to friends and family if they are planning a visit to legoland.

Stayed at the hotel last week. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was facing the street so there was a noise when the window was open. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Very Good for the budget.

We stayed at this lovely hotel over Easter with our dog. We can not recommend it enough - all staff extremely friendly and helpful. Extremely clean, nice room and plenty of ginger biscuits. We would stay here again - but beware if you want to take your dog in a taxi, we found one only, and that was the 5th attempt.

Popped in as passing and no issues getting a table for 2 for dinner, hostess was very accommodating . Food was tasty we had the curry and steak pie.

Sunday lunch with friends, very friendly service nice atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious, we will return and recommend highly!

I have been to The Prince Albert with work colleagues - both for food and for drinks - on multiple occasions. I would describe it as "cheap and cheerful" and this is exactly what you get. If you're looking for 5* luxury, then this is not the place for you and they are not trying to be that. The drinks and good are very reasonably priced for Windsor and the food is pub food - albeit, I have to say, the halloumi fries are DELIGHTFUL! The atmosphere is down to earth and great for a chilled Thursday or Friday night. The beer garden backs on to the car park and the car park could do with a bit of a clean.... there are piles of rubbish and old wooden drawers etc. that have been left to rot, so it's a bit of an eye sore. One time we attended and a poor little boy had travel sickness, so got out the car and was sick and it was just left and not cleaned up, so this definitely needs some attention.That being said, we have only ever had very good service and have sometimes attended in large groups of 12+; the staff have always been very patient and accommodating, so for me I would definitely return in the future and as long as you know what to expect, The Prince Albert is a very good venue

Visited here after spending the day in Legoland as it was only 5 mins down the road. Absolutely fantastic food, very delicious. Service was brilliant and the lady who served us was so friendly and we briefly saw the owners who were very friendly too. Just a warning though if you order the chicken wings they are HOT! But they were still so tasty and we polished them off (sweating afterwards though!). We will return on our next trip to Windsor.

Fabulous Sunday lunch this weekend. Great food, great service, lots of outside seating and a car park. Will be back again soon.

Ordered from deliveroo. As a chef myself I’d taken the day off and thought it would be nice for someone else to cook dinner. So I put my trust in the Prince Albert as I had heard good things. The picture speaks a thousand words really. I mean birds eye finest frozen veg? Cremated meat, dry rubbery potatoes , and is that smash?! I don’t know but it was just dreadful. Gravy came on the side - very very sweet , needs to be Seriously toned down. Why not try making cauliflower cheese or something? Put some effort in , it’s not worth the steep price tag. I can only imagine the foods sitting there after being prepped in the morning and you’re nuking it when an order comes in as you can tell it’s been microwaved. Very disappointed.

We went to Lego Land then stayed here after a full on day in hot weather with two young children. It is literally a 5min drive (amazing). Car Park on site (free - amazing). Check-in took about 2 and a half mins (amazing). Sat in the beer garden had several cold pints and delicious food, well priced and all on site (amazing). Room was lovely, we stayed in room 1, it had an en suite with shower, plenty of room for our travel cot, nice and clean, a fan and fridge there too (amazing). Had a cooked breakfast in the morning, alfresco (amazing). Staff were.... you guessed it, amazing! They let us have a drink to take to our room after stop tap, which in my book is amazing . All in all, we loved our stay here, it was AMAZING!

Comical! The waitress didn’t know what a bitter shandy was, it took several conversations and a returned drink before we ordered something else instead. The food order was missing coleslaw (as described on the menu), the food was average, the bill was wrong and there was no loo roll. The only saving grace is that the staff were polite and apologetic. Won’t be returning!

I booked at short notice as I was going to the birthday parade at the castle. As such I was not sure what to expect but was most pleasantly surprised. Although part of a pub on a main road, the rooms are in a separate block and were extremely quiet. Ignore any messages you might get from third party hotel booking sites which say bring your own towels and bedding as this is provided and everything was very clean and the facilities were perfect. Staff were very helpful and I also ate in the pub on one of the nights, the food and drinks being well prepared and delicious. I have addd this to my list of hotels to use in the future.

Came here for lunch yesterday for my nans 80th birthday! Amazing service before I even entered the building. My son is a type 1 diabetic. So needed to know carbohydrate values for the meal he was having. I phoned the venue 2 hours before our table was booked. And spoke to the chef, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. But he was unbelievably helpful. Went through all the values that I needed. My son was diagnosed type one during lock down last year, and due to covid we haven’t eaten out very often and I often feel anxious in case I get values wrong etc… however I felt so at ease going into the Albert due to having already had the conversation with the chef. To top off feeling very satisfied before even going in the day was topped off with the food being amazing too. Highly recommended. Will definitely be returning.

We booked a table for five & a baby in a pram. When we arrived we were sat at a window seat. We ordered our drinks & was then told they had run out of Porn Star Martinis (even though they were advertising it on a chalk board right in front of the bar). Not a problem, ordered something else.Lady came to take our food order for 4 adults & a 4 y/o child. Food took almost an hour to come & when it arrived they had missed out 1 meal.Very apologetic & said it would be 5 minutes. After 15 minutes I called a waitress over to find out what the delay was. She informed us that they had forgotten the Hunters Chicken & that it would be 5 minutes and she stated they would take 10% off the bill.15 minutes the 5th meal arrived. My son in law felt very uncomfortable as we had all finished & he was eating alone.I called the waitress over & told her to take the price of his meal off the bill. (Which they did).We all felt so uncomfortable after that. The staff were talking about & staring at us. I have honestly never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. One waitress in particular was especially rude (tanned skin, curly hair). She made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Really didn't want to stay for pudding but my grandson wanted an ice cream so reluctantly, we stayed for pudding.Our bill was almost £100 & we are staying in Windsor for 3 nights & would definitely have come back had the service been better. But, quite honestly we will never come back to this place again.Long waiting time for food.Terrible service.Awful attitudes.

My Fiancé and I stayed here this weekend as we wanted to visit Windsor Castle and the town. The Hotel/Pub is well situated about 1.5 miles away from the Town with a flat walk which took us about 30 mins at a steady pace. - our room was just what we wanted and it was spotlessly clean with bedding and pillows that were amazing. We were also given a Continental Breakfast in the room ready for the next day. - the food in the bar/restaurant was 1st class. I had Steak & Ale Pie and my partner had a Burger... both were spot on!- staff were great- parking good at the back of the pub- well worth the price for a couple of nights away.We defiantly recommend..... We’ll be back again!

Came here after a trip to legoland, booked in advance for a party of 11 as per current guidelines we were sat at separate tables. We had 2 kids and a baby in the party and was told we could not seat the baby at the head/foot of the table as they would not be able to serve food to our table. We had to use a buzzer system to order drinks and food which seemed unnecessary due to it not being overly busy and our party being larger than normal you tend to get a higher level of service. The service was poor, we asked for fruit shoots for the children as labelled on the menu for around £2.20 when the drinks finally arrived they WERE NOT fruit shoots they were a knock off equivalent. Moving forward we ordered our mains, the table I was seated which had 1 child and a baby waited over an hour and a half (roughly 25 minutes longer than the other half of our party on the other table) when the food eventually arrived I was greeted with a burger that was full of bits I had specifically asked to be removed (tomato, relish, lettuce, onion) when I pointed this out to the waitress I was made to feel like I was in the wrong. She reluctantly took the food back to the kitchen. After waiting over an hour and a half I felt like I should at the very least, get what I had ordered. The waitress returned a minute or so later, with the same food and said bluntly “they’ve scraped out the bits you didn’t want” I couldn’t quite believe it. Rather than cause a scene after a long, ridiculously hot day I sat and began eating. The food was not only wrong but bland and I personally think I could cook better in my microwave. After everyone had finished eating and another drinks round later the waitress asked if everything was okay with our food… table check backs tend to be carried out shortly after delivery not when it’s too late to do anything about as my partner explained to them. A few members of the party decided to order deserts however I wasn’t willing to risk it nor wanting to give them any more business. Those who did order deserts were all disappointed with not only the portion sizes but the taste. The churros were barely filled and over cooked specifically.I would not recommend this pub and most definitely will not be coming back!

Initially had the wrong amount of guests, drinks came, amstel tasted odd, sent it back, replacement tasted a bit better, not much, food was average, small quantity for the price, veg was under cooked, beef was full of fat, chocolate brownie (£6.00) we thought was a child's portion, all in all not recommended.

6 of us went here yesterday for our meal as we were staying at legoland. Food was really nice and staff friendly. Reasonably priced. Definitely a place to go for good food compared to legoland's food and prices.

We stopped here for dinner after a day at Legoland. Great service, clean restaurant, really lovely food. Kids are fussy but were very happy. Only disappointment was they were out of spaghetti/pasta and no hot drinks were available due to a fault with the kettle. Overall we were very happy and would definitely choose to visit again next time we are in the area.Photo is of sweet potato chilli which was lovely, and bigger than it looks in the picture!

Came for just a drink and 2 courses and my friend and I were sat for nearly three hours! Service was terrible and the food wasn't great either. Not to mention we also got told twice that our food wasn't available even though it was on the menu. Took over an hour for starters and my friends main came first. This place needs a real look at staff and service. Will not be returning back!

We visited on our way home from Legoland. It was a lovely freshly cooked meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, we couldn’t have asked for more!

We booked a table at the Prince Albert after visiting Legoland so we could grab some food before heading home. This was with my wife and 5 year old. This was during COVID where only outdoor seating was available. As we arrived at the pub it looked nice from the outside and the on-site parking was good too. We walked past a nice little rear seating area and through the front door as directed by the signs. We spoke to the lady on reception. The setup was explained with a call button on a little plant pot and we checked in on the NHS Test and Trace app as requested. She directed us to a seating area out the front of pub on a decking area facing the traffic (although ample seating at the quieter garden at the rear was available). There was a solitary guy sat at another table and then us on our own. We were quite happy but this only lasted a few minutes. Now this was a Friday night and we did expect there may be your locals attending for drinks however a group of around 12 men all arrived within 20 minutes, smoking and swearing and being your typical “bloke at a pub”, shouting “whey” every time another bloke turned up. We ordered our food and set up a tab. The food was nice and we were considering staying longer; having dessert and a few more soft drinks before heading home, but unfortunately the rowdiness was too much and so we skipped that and left. As we left and went back through past the rear seating area, there was another likeminded family utilising the pub for food after Legoland who didn’t have the smoking, swearing and rowdiness that we had endured. I don’t think the staff had any forethought that families may stop by for food after visiting a huge local attraction which is only 8 minutes from their pub. They could have set up an area for families away from the smokers. The staff didn’t offer for us to move at any point but then we didn’t complain so that’s partly our fault. In all, lovely pub, good parking, good location, good food, but no forethought to make a pleasant experience for families visiting which unfortunately ruined the whole experience.

After a day at LEGOLAND we fancied a real home cooked family meal. We were lucky to spot this pub 5 mins away from legoland. Parking was easy and due to covid restrictions we had to eat outside. However, this was no problem because the seating area was nice and heated.The food took a while to come but it was well worth it. My children both ordered a roast lamb and my husband and I opted for the homemade steak pie. For pudding the children had ice cream and we had biscof waffles. The food was fantastic! We will definitely eat here again when we go to Windsor. The staff were very friendly. There was a slight mix up with children's meals but fortunately this was dealt with quickly and friendly. The only negative is that there wasn't a separate smoking area and it wasn't pleasant eating whilst the lady at table next to us kept smoking.

Excellent food available for take away whilst in lock down. Roasts are particularly good. Can't wait for The Albert to reopen.

Christmas Day Takeaway - We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Lunch...Lovely hot tasty food, excellent service, plentiful portions, value for money. Food ready for pre-agreed collection timeslot, served in ethical recyclable containers. We had the vegetarian roulade, the traditional Christmas dinner and the Beef sirloin roast - we were all happy with our choices. A Huge Thank you to The Prince Albert - we will definitely order again!

Due to Covid 19 tier 4 restrictions all our xmas plans were cancelled at short notice. No time for shopping due to work so we decided to order the xmas dinner takeaway and are really pleased with the decision. Good price, nice food especially the vegetarian option and good size portions. Massive thank you

We visited The Prince Albert in August 2017 (see previous review) after a trip to Legoland with friends. On our journey back from a Legoland trip I knew we had to return for dinner. The Prince Albert didn't disappoint! Good food and good service. 3 children and 4 adults fed and watered before our journey home. We will be back!

No puedo creer que hayamos encontrado este encantador pub y restaurante. Una cálida bienvenida en la puerta principal, todas las pautas de corona explicadas y en su lugar, me sentí muy seguro.Estaba muy ocupado al llegar, nos llevaron a la mesa y explicamos cómo funcionaba el sistema de timbre y todo era servicio de mesa.No sé de qué hablar primero. ? ? Comience con la comida, wow wow wow, el pan de ajo, las costillas, la hamburguesa americana y el curry Katsu estaban deliciosos. Buen valor para el dinero. We were looked after really well at the Prince Albert. The staff were friendly and there were COVID measures in place. The menu had plenty on it and the service was quick. Would definitely recommend the pub and the Chicken tenders burger. Thank you.

A menudo vamos a tomar una copa los domingos a la hora del almuerzo. Comida increíble aquí, no en LEGOLAND, fui con la familia y comimos una hamburguesa mexicana. Probs. La mejor hamburguesa que he probado en mucho tiempo. Mi esposa comió el jamón que era impresionante. Calentaron la comida de mis chicos porque es autista y no tiene gluten. Muy buen lugar, servicio rápido, pero sobre todo la comida es increíble.

Visité este pub el lunes con mi familia. Aparcamiento en la parte de atrás que fue muy útil ya que habíamos conducido a este pub desde Legoland de camino a nuestro hotel.Saludo amistoso en la puerta por parte del personal encantador, todo lo explicado, hace referencia a medidas adicionales de Covid, es decir, estaciones de desinfección de manos, servicio de mesa y controles de temperatura.La comida era deliciosa, amplias opciones de menú (incluidos los niños) y porciones de buen tamaño.¡Definitivamente volveremos a visitar!

Detenido aquí en el camino de regreso de Legoland hoy, el personal es tan encantador y servicial, la comida es fuera de este mundo y un precio tan razonable dado que está en el medio de Windsor. ¡Fui con mi papá y dos niños de 6 y 7 años y nuestros platos estaban vacíos! Es genial ver que se realiza el seguimiento y la localización, controles de temperatura en la entrada y un excelente servicio y distanciamiento social, así que me alegro de haber elegido aquí que de un viaje en automóvil, ¡bien hecho equipo, estás haciendo un gran trabajo!

Paré aquí en el camino de regreso de Lego Land, y fue muy buena comida de pub.Leí las buenas críticas sobre TA, y me alegro de haberlo hecho porque el restaurante se siente un poco como si estuviera sentado en el invernadero de su Nan. Nos quedamos en Legoland con nuestros hijos, donde la comida deja mucho que desear. Encontré este lugar en google y pensé que lo probaríamos. A la vuelta de la esquina. La comida era fantástica, excelentes tamaños de porción, el servicio era increíble y el lugar era acogedor y acogedor. Was in Windsor over Christmas with the family and found this pub was highly recommended. the food was lovely, had a great atmosphere and the waitress called August was so friendly and was great at suggesting some places to visit around Windsor. Couldn't fault it at all, a nice little stop off on our travel.

Éramos la única fiesta en el pequeño comedor, y pronto nos sirvieron bebidas mientras examinamos el menú completo. Nos mimaron la elección y el valor. La comida era apetitosa, se veía bien y llegó en buen tiempo con un excelente servicio. Las raciones eran generosas, y todos disfrutamos de nuestra comida.

El personal aquí es realmente agradable. El pub estaba bastante ocupado, así que esperaba una espera. lo cual no fue un problema. El menú se ve muy bien y tiene un precio muy razonable. El pastel que elegí era bastante bueno, pero las verduras eran simplemente hervidas y totalmente insípidas, y no me había dado cuenta de que no había sal y pimienta en la mesa, tal vez elegí mal pero fue una decepción.

Happened to pass the Prince Albert on the way back to the hotel from Legoland.No tables in the restaurant available however the staff were warm and welcoming and suggested we took a table in the bar and they would let us know when the next restaurant table became available which they did.A great menu of reasonably priced home made food and of fantastic quality, I opted for a BBQ burger which came with salad, chips and onion rings, my wife had scampi and chips and daughter had spaghetti bolognase.All in all, food quality and price was great, staff warm and friendly, and the pub was very pleasant. Wish my local was half as good as this place.

We went for a 60th wedding Anniversary, was lovely and quite which was nice as we could hear each other , the man who took drinks and food order was very friendly , food was tasty we had pulled pork flatbread, shepards pie, sausages with bubble and squeek mash, and the chicken tikka masala all lovely and fresh ,the only thing we did say was plates should have been warm , waffles and ice cream for deserts reasonably priced we enjoyed our evening so thank you

Sunday lunch here for the first time,I had the the 3 meat lunch beef,pork,lamb £12.50 huge portions served hot,very busy pub booking is highly recommend

We chose The Prince Albert for a family meal after 2 days at Legoland having read the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. This proved to be an excellent decision. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown through to the restaurant where Rosie showed us to our table and dealt with us very efficiently throughout. The food and drink was excellent and good value, and we all had a great experience. We will certainly return when we are next in the area.

Me gustaría decir en mis viajes a Windsor el mes pasado con el esposo para ver el castillo que encontramos este encantador pub. Tuvimos el servicio más increíble de la encantadora chica de raza mixta: creo que se llama abril o agosto. Ella fue más allá y su servicio fue excepcional. La comida también era increíble, no me puedo quejar. Gran pub, excelente comida, excelente personal! Buena manera de terminar nuestro viaje en Windsor :)

Stayed here twice recently. First room ground floor twin, disabilty bathroom was tired but very usable, comfy beds and fantastic breakfast

We visited Legoland and were staying at the onsite hotel but the food in the family restaurant at legoland didn’t look appealing so we came to this pub and it was the best decision ever! The staff were friendly, the food choice was good and the portions were large, the prices were also fair. I had the duck pancakes to start which were delicious and the steak with mash and veg for main also excellent. My 3 year old has a pepperoni pizza and it looked lovely, my mum had the scampi and chips and she said they were excellent. The staff were lovely as well. Would definitely recommend.

Unexpectedly very good food After walking round Windsor all day. Went to a local pub for food and was suprised, lovely home cooked food and great service from young red headed girl.

We popped in after busy day at Legoland. Cracking pub with restaurant on side. Plenty of food choice, reasonable prices and very friendly to families. Just down the road so ideal after a day at Legoland.

Visited with my family 2A 2C after a day at Legoland for a meal before we made the drive home to Liverpool. Was a little unsure at first as the car park gave the impression it was a working man's pub (lots of work vans) However once inside I was very pleasantly surprised. The dinning area was lovely & set away from the pub. The service was great & the food was absolutely gorgeous. Very very tasty. My hubby got a Mexican burger, I had a BBQ burger & the children had fish & chips & spag bol. All great portions. Reasonable price & nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend visiting this place

Reservamos una habitación familiar para 2 adultos y 2 niños por una noche durante nuestro viaje a Legoland que está a 2 minutos en coche. No nos decepcionó. El personal era amable, la comida era fantástica, la cerveza estaba bien conservada y los precios eran muy razonables. La habitación estaba limpia y de buen tamaño. El único inconveniente era que la habitación era muy cálida, pero se proporcionó un ventilador que nos ayudó a dormir un poco. En general, tuvimos una gran estancia y definitivamente nos volveremos a alojar allí en el futuro.

Popped in with no booking for post-LEGOLAND family meal. No booking but they bent over backwards to accommodate party of 8, and food was ideal for adults and kids. V impressed.

Ate here three times, one lunch and two evening dinners. Food could not be rated anything else but brilliant. Very busy restaurant even though it was a Monday and a Tuesday evening. Landlor and serving staff very friendly. First class.

Viajo a Windsor regularmente para trabajar. Siempre que sea posible me quedo en el Prince Albert. Las habitaciones están limpias y ordenadas, siempre bien equipadas con té, café y toallas. Comí allí todas las noches. La comida es comida casera adecuada y nunca pasas hambre. La cerveza está bien conservada y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Visited for an end of week meal. The food was definitely homemade and served piping hot! My husband had a homemade pie, the filling was very good but the pastry was slightly undercooked, which was a shame. Another customer had the same and his pastry looked perfect. I put it down to my meal was cooked and ready to serve and didn’t want it to get cold or be over cooked. Just a timing issue. We were never asked if food okay by waitress. Young girl was not really paying attention to the tables.

Normally I stick to 2 pints bitter now that my liver is going down hill, but the Courage Best was delicious, full pints without having to ask for a top up like so many bars these days, so I had 4. Well I was in a round for 4.

Saw this pub mentioned in a number of Legoland reviews as an alternative to the overpriced bad quality food in Legoland Bricks restaurant.

Great little local with good food and friendly welcoming staff. Football on and dog friendly. Parking available and a room should you wish to have one more for the road.

What a wonderful meal!! The bar and restaurant here is delightful. Our waitress (I think her name was Rosie) was so kind and attentive. The food was spectacular. I was so happy to see so many vegetarian choices! I had the Quorn pie with veggies and mash potatoes. It was delicious! My husband had the BBQ Mac and cheese and he enjoyed it. We shared the nachos (vegetable chili) and loved them. The meal presentation was very fancy and the food was great. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding - it was not my favorite, but not bad. The atmosphere is great. It is very cute inside. The bar seemed popular with locals, which was nice, and the dining room was quiet and charming. Five stars!

A quick 5 min drive out of legoland to this restaurant was the best meal ever. A lovely warm welcome by staff and seated promptly. Food was excellent and good portions. Very reasonably priced and highly recommend a visit. Parking behind the restaurant is available.

Ate here on a couple of occasions on a weekend visit to Legoland and Windsor. Food was excellent and the staff were very obliging. The Sunday roast was excellent. All in all a great place to eat.

Buscando un lugar para comer con nuestro hijo de 4 años cerca de nuestro hotel, probamos el Prince Albert, lo habíamos visto de camino a LEGOLAND y se veía atractivo. No habíamos reservado y al ser un sábado por la noche estaba lleno, pero la amable señora que estaba detrás del bar nos dijo que un grupo grande iría al restaurante, así que una mesa sería gratis en breve. También habló con nuestra pequeña niña preguntando por sus juguetes. Hubo que esperar por la comida debido al gran grupo, pero cuando llegó fue encantador. Tuve el pastel de pastores especial que era precioso. En general muy agradable local popular con buena comida casera.

Nos alojamos aquí por 2 noches durante el fin de semana festivo! Desde el momento en que llegamos hasta que hicimos el check out, el personal no pudo hacer lo suficiente. Los precios de las comidas y bebidas son muy razonables, todo está muy limpio, la cama es cómoda, el baño es un poco pequeño pero más que adecuado. El desayuno era encantador, y una porción muy generosa con su desayuno cocinado, usted puede elegir la opción del inglés completo, elegir cómo se cocinan los huevos, o si lo prefiere, puede preparar huevo, tostadas, salmón, etc. .

We first went into the pub to use their rest room but the staff were so helpful and friendly with information on taxis etc, we decided we would go there for dinner. The 3 of us all ended up having scampi and chips and they were really big portions, well cooked and served with a smile. Really good value for money.

We stopped in for a late dinner as we were staying nearby. The burger was very good. However, the pub may have been under-staffed, as the service was quite slow and the tables of departed diners were not cleared.

We found this place on TA after looking for restaurants close to Legoland. We had one awful meal there and were not prepared to take the chance again.

Stayed for two nights. Room clean and bedding fresh. Staff are very friendly in the hotel and bar. Breakfast was very nice and tasty. We had lunch in the pub too and portions were large and we enjoyed everything we ate . Would stay here again.

Enjoyed the family room accommodation while visiting Legoland. Good facilities like kettle, fridge, iron etc in the room & helpful staff.

Visited here following a day spent at Legoland for my daughter's 7th birthday. Food was lovely, gorgeous nachos to share topped with well seasoned chilli, hearty salads for the adults, a big portion of children's fish and chips for my son and Sunday roast with specified modifications which were no trouble at all for our daughter. Rosie was an amazing waitress and Samuel behind the bar was also very helpful espcially as he took some valuable feedback as he manages the concessions at Legoland! Complimentary birthday ice cream topped the meal off. Don't be fooled by the outside of this pub it is wonderful!

Close to Lego. Ideal for dinner after a day at Lego. Reasonably priced. Kids meals offered too. Staff were great - very welcoming. Our waitress Rosie was excellent- really helpful, cheerful and good speaking to the kids. Food was lovely too.

We decided to try this pub since we could walk there. First was just for a beer then we were told that their food is very good.

Great location for Ascot and Windsor. They recommended fab taxi company Windsor cars who looked after us during our 2 day stay. Our room was great plenty of room great shower. Tv, hanging space , iron and board , dressing table everything we needed . Fab breakfast so big I had to have a children's portion the second day. Great bar to return to at the end of your visit to Windsor or Ascot so no drink driving. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Great value for money which was a lot less than most places during Royal Ascot week!! We were in room 1 and this is not a complaint it's just an idea for those more picky residents that may stay in the future I would replace the net curtains with blinds as the current ones too long and a bit shabby. The shower was fab loads of power and hot water and clean but the grouting needs whitening or replace your tiles with Perspex panels please take this as constructive advice and not a complaint ok bev & tom.

We have never had a bad meal here. It is the best pub food in Windsor by far - at very reasonable prices. Friday night is our regular nacho treat night and they never fail to impress. Great staff too - especially Rosie, who is a little pocket rocket!

We unfortunately booked into the windsor guest house next door ( rubbish little rooms above a shop ) why o why did we not find and book rooms here . We brought our two year old grandaughter here to stay and visit legoland. Ate here gor two evening meals and a lunch . First night steaks for adults cooked to perfection and little ones pepperoni pixza freshly made and delicious . Girl serving was so welcoming and helpful (wish i could remember your name ..your mum and dad had you very young like we had our kids. ....you thought our grandaughter was our child. Flattery will always get you a little tip. Next day lunchtime just me and little one as husband at windsor castle for lunch. Little one had lovely spaghetti bolognese and i had swiss cheese and bacon burger. Both absolutey lovely again welcomed by staff and made to feel important cheers as daunting to go into somewhere as a lone female with a little one . In the evening we came back again hubby had chicken burger i jad lamb shank and little one had burger chips and beans enjoyed by all . Only mistake was having dessert sticky toffee pud and custard delicious but a big portion had to run round block a few times to burn that off. Cheers for making us so welcome we will be booking rooms with you next time instead of that doss house next door carole tom and little lilly

Visited as a family with 2 young kids. Good selection on the menu. The food was very good and tasty, warm on arrival and great service. The waitress was very friendly, hard working and attentive, without being in your face. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the steak pie. Plenty veg and roast potatoes. Kids had the pizzas which were also very nice and both had ice cream (3 scoops with sauce) to finish. Well worth trying and would definately eat here again.

Whilst staying at Legoland this week, we ventured out to eat here (04/04/18) so we could meet with family who live (semi) locally. Chosen based on Trip Advisor reviews, we were so pleased. The food was excellent, really good quality ingredients, generous portions, great value and lovingly made. A couple of us had burgers, the fish had batter to die for, the pie's were delicious, the pork ribs were so tender and the chips were the best. However, what made it even more was the service. I didn't catch her name but our waitress was absolutely brilliant. We regularly eat out and the waitress here was one of the most helpful, on-the-ball servers we've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble, she was super friendly, and attentive (without being over the top). Despite the place being quite busy and the only waitress on, she timed everything perfectly with a smile. Thank you for a lovely evening.
