The Pr Resturant in Glasgow City

First time visit and certainly won't be the last. The expression "A hidden gem" springs to mind and is very appropriate. Owner/chef/owner David certainly knows his onions as they and is backed up by marvellous staff . This is NOT an Italian restaurant but one which serves up the usual favourites plus a well balanced menu to suit everyone and is of the highest quality. Go on give it a try you won't regret it , my wife and I will definitely be back soon Wullie Weir

Great quiet place off street, upstairs. Friendly service. GREAT FOOD. We tried recommended servings ,fantastic. Had a 2 plate meal , app and entree. Superior taste and quantity. Salad and wings added, were great. Claddis fish and chips, delicious. Desserts were divine. Left happy and full.

It's easy to miss, being above a chip shop, but well worth finding. The food seems to be a mix of Mediterranean and Eastern European. Take a big appetite with you as portions are generous and food is v flavoursome. Service is prompt and friendly. I've been here a few times and always enjoy it. Being out of the city centre it's not too pricey either.

Fiance and I go regularly - service and food could not be better. Everh member of staff provides the highest standard of service combined with friendliness. The food is amazing - highly recommemd the goats cheese fritters.

Visited with a friend for a midweek lunch. Being upstairs, I had no idea what it looked like inside but went on my friend's recommendation. Very pleasantly surprised. Great, friendly service. Varied choice on the set menu and very reasonably priced. The black pudding starter was delicious and my chicken skewer equally so. Food was piping hot and the portions are huge. Wish I could have eaten more but our waiter did offer to wrap up our leftovers to take away. Can't wait to return to this beautiful little eatery!!

OMG, Jist Misto in Glasgow is amazin'! 5/5 from me, no doubt! The place has such a chill vibe and the staff are super cool. The food is outta this world, seriously! I had the best burger of my life there. The fries were bomb too, mate. The service was top-notch, they really know how to treat their customers right. I can't even find anythin' to complain about, it was just a perfect experience. Jist Misto is now my go-to spot in Glasgow, I can't wait to go back for more!

This restaurant is really good for an informal meal. The Beef Per Kelt was truly delicious, Lovely sauce. Came with a huge dish of chips. I like chips. Good sized portion. The chef is well up on his allergens. The waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and oh so pretty. Many thanks for a delicious meal.

This is the beat kept secret on Paisley Road West. You wouldn't know this gem was there, but what a find. The staff can't do enough for you and the food speaks for itself, amazing!! Value for money in a time when people are struggling, Jist Misto offers you refuge and a great evening. The quality of the food is like the staff, 2nd to none. You've git to get booked into this place, you will not be disappointed!!

This restaurant feels like home, the food is always hot fresh and carefully cooked by the chef 👨‍🍳 I love the burgers 🍔 Cajun fries, onion rings, pulled pork nachos 🤤garlic bread, I could go on and on, staff are always the best at getting a table for you and making you feel very welcome, I use any excuse to be here it’s 10/10 x I have no photos as we eat it too quickly x

This is the best restaurant !! The selection of food and cocktails are amazing and great prices the staff are so friendly especially Luca 💙there was 15 of us and every single dish was incredible all served at the same time . I regularly return to Jist Misto because I genuinely think it is one of the best. I’ve been going since it opened and it has never once disappointed me. The food is incredible. Portion sizes for the price are also amazing, and the staff are honestly the best. One of my favourite restaurants to go to.

Not been in the restaurant yet but got a takeaway from here a few times. It’s always been lovely. Was diagnosed coeliac recently and the staff explained what I could have (which was actually what I used to get so that was an added bonus! ) definitely recommend

I have been coming to this fabulous restaurant for years, since they opened in fact. The owner is great and cant do enough for his customers. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make every visit a great one. I have spent every birthday meal here and special occasions, the latest being Mothers Day and it was wonderful. Compact and bijou it may be, but both the welcome and service is warm and friendly. It's not my first visit here, but this time I went here with my daughter, for her birthday, and her sons aged 9 and 14. The menus have a good selection of dishes, covering all tastes and requirements. Portion sizes are more than adequate (isn't it amazing how you can be stuffed from your dinner, yet always find room for dessert?) Chef was ok to swap out an item on the 14-year-old's menu choice. I feel that's important as, even with an adult, it can make or break the ordering of a dish. We left full, satisfied and with a doggy bag of food that we couldn't eat because we just HAD TO have dessert. (You know how it is, lmao) Definitely worth a visit. It's above 'Sammies' chip shop at the main traffic lights, diagonally across from Morrison's in Cardonald (where you can easily park the car.)

My daughters booked for myself and them for Mother's Day , the table was booked for 2.30 and had to wait 15 mins to be seated as no tables ... the service was ok but the gent on was shocking his behaviour was as if...

Ordered a takeaway last night, first takeaway from just misto and the food was delicious, cocktails amazing very generous size portions, I have tried to support local businesses but some takeaways have been disappointing and I understand must be very difficult to go from restaurant service to takeaway but just misto have it to a tee, well done

Just had another fantastic lunch, chilli prawns followed by an incredible chicken in a bacon, cheese and leek sauce. Chicken was cooked to perfection, portion sizes are generous.... So wear elastic trousers!! Front of house Lukas looked after us, making sure we wanted for nothing! This is a local gem of a restaurant that consistently offers up great food, with this quality on your doorstep there's no need to go into the city centre. If the times we live in have taught us anything it is to appreciate what's in our local area. And this restaurant is a wee cracker!!

Lovely and comfy little gem of a restaurant. Visited on Tuesday 3rd Nov. Staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we arrived. Our lunch was absolutely delicious. All covid restrictions were in place which made both myself and husband feel very safe as it's first time we ventured to a meal out since covid pandemic.We would highly recommend this restaurant for its comfort, staff friendliness and lastly but not least the food. This is usually one of our favourite local places to eat. Previously never had a groupon and usually dine full price but on this occasion I had one as a gift. Not only are you on a reduced menu but the portion sizes are reduced to tiny portions. The menu comes out quite big with a massive groupon logo on it and the service just was not the same. All the tables next to us were offered condiments and asked how the meal was, we didn't even get offered sauce. Had to ask for it but the general atmosphere was that they didn't like the idea of a groupon.

Come here a lot with family & friends. Social distancing good, masks worn by staff who are able to. Food fab, never disappoints, staff always pleasant and accommodating. Would highly recommend - thank you

The food & staff were faultless, The young lady waitress ( sorry never got her name ) has a great balance of being attentive but also leaving you to enjoy your food. Aunque fue bueno ver que están registrando la información, este método infringe el RGPD. Vi claramente a todas las demás personas en el nombre y número de teléfono del restaurante. Si recopila información, se convierte en el guardián de esa información y debe protegerse, deben ser tarjetas individuales o páginas individuales donde la información de otras personas no se muestre.El siguiente problema fue que ninguno de los camareros llevaba protección. Sin viseras, sin máscaras, sin guantes, nada. Me sorprendió un poco que ni siquiera tuvieran máscaras para tomar el pedido o traer tu comida.De todos modos, en cuanto a la comida, habíamos sacado nachos de cerdo que estaban muy buenos y palitos de mozzarella, que extrañamente venían con salsa en lugar de salsa de tomate italiana. Estaban bien, pero ¿les pareció extraño que un restaurante italiano sirviera mozzarella con salsa? Entrantes 7/10.Los platos principales eran parrillada mixta y penne catrtocio. El penne fue. . . . . Tuve el placer de ser uno de los afortunados que pudieron cenar el primer fin de semana de reapertura en este magnífico restaurante y, como siempre, no nos decepcionó la comida, la bebida y el servicio, ¡todo excelente como siempre! David, Lukas y todo el personal nunca dejan de mimarnos? ¡Ya estamos planeando nuestra próxima visita! Tuvimos deliciosos cócteles, entrantes, acompañamientos y un plato principal con ensalada César de pollo, posiblemente el mejor que he probado. El precio fue muy razonable, especialmente por la calidad y cantidad de porciones, ¡tenemos sobras para mañana! El servicio fue excelente, sin duda volveremos.

Due to the lockdown situation we got a take away from Jist Misto... let me begin with the phone order, so polite and helpful on the phone, when we picked up our order the staff had a good conversation with us just as the food was being wrapped up. The food was just as we ordered especially the steak. Wrapped in foil and containers, the food was so fresh and the taste was excellent..we also ordered cocktails which were delicious...I would recommend this restaurant to everyone for the great food and service.. absolutely amazing restaurant which caters for all needs... please please try as you will not be disappointed..

We had a takeaway fr our sunday dinner on 26.04.20,as always we were not disappointed,I had bruschetta to start with,my hubby had jist misto burger and chips,my son had the desperado burger with chips & I had jist misto steak salad,the food was gorgeous as was the service,def a treat during lockdown,would def recommend this wee goldmine.

Just polished off (nearly) an amazing steak, chips, mushroom sauce dinner from my favourite local restaurant. I wasn't sure how this would work as a takeaway, but it was epic! Washed down with an Espresso Martini. Suddenly, Lockdown just got a bit easier. And, in the words of Big Arnie,"I'll be back".Thanks guys.

Me and my boyfriend called late to book a table and the staff were so lovely and squeezed us in. The restaurant was all decorated in Valentine’s Day stuff rose and balloons everywhere. Was beautiful. I order the spaghetti on the rock and I was unreal, probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My boyfriend ordered the burger and it was also amazing. The staff are so polite and lovely. We had a women serving us and she was lovely she always has a smile on her face and really helpful. This is probably my favourite restaurant, foods always amazing and staff couldn’t be nicer.

Our local restaurant and first choice for any meal out, have never been disappointed in any of the countless times we’ve been. The pulled pork nachos are amazing, best nachos ever. My go to main is the Desperado burger; caramelised onions, TWO chicken breasts, pepperoni, black pudding & burger sauce - outstanding

Found this place on trip advisor as wanted a nice cosy place for dinner for my mothers birthday. Booked a table in advance which im glad we did or possibly wouldnt have been seated. Was a Saturday evening and place was packed. However this in no way hindered the service provided. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced along with the cocktails. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. We all only had starters and mains, no room for dessert which was a shame. This meal for 4 with cocktails and wine was under £100. If ever back in the area i will be back and thoroughly reccommend if you want a change from city centre over priced restaurants. Taxi trip did add a few quid to evening but definately worth it.

Jist Misto is a small cosy place offering various meals and great cocktails. The staff was wonderful, Nicoleta was very fast and Lukas makes an outstanding cappuccino. The atmosphere is very friendly, it’s a great place for dinner or lunch!

Highly recommend. Food and service here is excellent. If you are in the area this is a must. Great menu choice.

This is quite a small restaurant, but they serve great meals. Everything that the 4 of us were eaten with lots of mmms and appreciative sighs.Nice choice of appetizers and main courses. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared with very good sides accompanying the main course.

Went there at the weekend ordered a my usual starter spicy wings, after that it was then onto my favourite meal sirloin steak with chips and peppercorn sauce my partner had bruschetta for starters, her main it was spinach and ricotta ravioli we both cleared our plates and that’s very rare for my partner as for desert we were to full for that but look forward to the desert next time the deserts menu had a great choice, the staff were very friendly also would highly recommend Jist Misto.

We needed somewhere for a late lunch/early dinner near Glasgow airport and this was ideal. It’s open all afternoon. Serving delicious freshly cooked food. It’s an unassuming high street, the restaurant is upstairs above another business. It has a stylish contemporary interior with cool music and polite welcoming staff. We couldn’t believe the value of the set 2 course meal. Under a tenner for really good choice of starters and mains. Also a good a la carte menu with specials on the board. We parked out front, on a meter, but I think if you’d gone down one of the side roads it would be free. It’s Italian inspired cooking but lots of contemporary British options to suit all tastes. We would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Have been a regular visitor to this small intimate restaurant and could never fault the food or customer service until recently. My previous visit a young girl was serving (new) and seemed pretty nervous. We ordered our usual favs, breaded mushrooms to start then one fish and one chicken burger without bacon (stipulated twice - no bacon). Starters came and were excellent. Mains came and I took a bite out of mine and said that tastes funny. When I opened the burger there at the top was bacon. As a person that does not eat red meat, pork, fish, eggs etc and only white chicken breast I felt sick that I had eaten a bit of bacon. I then just ate the chips on my plate until the waitress was available. She asked if everything was OK and I said no my burger had bacon on and I couldn't eat it. No apology, just took the plate away. No offer of a replacement. We decided to have two cheesecake for dessert (still hungry), the italian waiter came over with them and said mine was on the house because of the mix up with my main. Think I would have preferred offer of replacement main but nice gesture.

Our three courses were OK. The steak we had for our main course was a little tasteless, but we both enjoyed our puddings. My husband said his waffle and ice cream was delicious. Portions were large and the service was good.

Went to this restaurant for the first time today (09/08/19)for lunch along with my daughter,my daughter had mozzarella sticks and burger and I had stuffed mushrooms and chicken in pepper sauce from the set menu and the food was delicious and a great portion.The young lady waitress was excellent and attentive and both the food and service has ensured many future visits to this excellent restaurant..next time don’t pass it..go in and see for yourselves you won’t be disappointed.

We love jist Misto, it has firmly became our favourite restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they have a great cocktail menu and the food is fantastic. Hadn't arranged anything for my brother's so booked this last minute .

Mi novia y yo fuimos a Jist Misto para San Valentín y nos quedamos impresionados de comprar el lugar. Teníamos 3 cursos y cada uno fue hecho a la perfección. El pollo era tan suave y estaba buenísimo. El servicio de David fue especialmente excelente. Nada era demasiado y él y el resto del personal siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar. Los cócteles eran muy sabrosos también.

We visit this restaurant around once a month for the simple reason that it serves delicious food , it has efficient friendly service & the cost is reasonable. When we visit we usually always have 3 courses all of which are served at the highest quality . The staff are friendly and really attentive . The menu has a wide variety of choice for everyone in all categories but i do recommend the stuffed mushrooms for starters, the serloin steak with fries & peppercorn sauce for main & the chocolate fudge cake for dessert . They also serve a wide variety of cocktails most of which i have tried personally and would highly recommend . My favourite being the rossini or the pornstar martini , I cant decide lol. I will say that it is always really busy ( always the sign of a good restaurant) so booking a table in advance is probably best although if you dont mind a short wait the staff will go that extra mile to get you as soon as they can.

Popped in with my wife for some lunch. The Christmas menu was on so I decided to have the full turkey dinner. It was absolutely delicious. The burger was a good size too and came with loads of chips. Great portion sizes for the grubber like me. Would recommend it to anyone who fancies good hearty grub in a nice setting. Staff were excellent, very attentive.
