The Pot Belly in Banbridge

A beautiful evening with my family, fabulous food and the service was excellent. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

We recently called into this restaurant and didn't realize it was a closed day, but..they saw us and asked us to come in. We wanted to book it for a function in May for 60-70 people and they were wondering to help us when we told them. We have now booked so just waiting to see how everything turns out in May. Thanks guys for being so helpful.

Food is incredible, every dish we've had tasted delicious. Staff are brilliant and very friendly, nothing seemed too much hassle.

Nice place with plenty of parking and seems popular enough. Personally, I found the food to be fine, tartare sauce wasn’t to my liking and it was all lukewarm. Desserts were mediocre, poor plating and fake vanilla ice cream. I wouldn’t personally recommend or go back, though they very much have the potential to improve things.

Great food and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Booked for a Saturday had to change the time to a bit later which was no problem at all, we then arrived a bit early and again that was no problem at all. The staff were really friendly and really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious everyone I was with got something different and we were all delighted. The portions were generous, I couldn't even finish my wonderful dessert. Pricing was really fair. This place is very beautiful. I really liked the lights over the beams. This is a place that was recommended by a few people to me and it dif not disappoint. The only thing I would add is a little bit of music in the background as at time it was a bit too quiet at times.

It's been a very very long time since I've been here, but it's still as good, my friends and I had the Sunday lunch menu...lovely!! A few more tried and tested vegan options please... But other than hoping that the Surf and Turf is the same as years ago!

Great Sunday lunch for my older in laws, mostly roasts but plenty of food in the portions and very well presented

2nd visit much better than the first. Really didn't like their creamy, cheesy, chicken with cranberries....

We had a family group of 26 Children, parents, grandparents The helpful staff couldn't do enough to help us. Food was perfect and the room we had been given was perfect for our group.

Was at the pot belly for a large family get together. The food was good but was very disappointed that they would not honour a voucher that was slightly out of date. At the end of the day these people have the money in their pocket and (to me) it really shouldn't matter when you use the voucher. Waiters and waitresses were very pleasant but unfortunately their boss wasn't. Won't be back.

Found this lovely restaurant on a flying visit to Northern Ireland. So pleased we did, the food was truly amazing, filling, taste, quality and pleasing to the eye. Plus didn't break the bank. I'd highly recommend a visit not only to enjoy the food but experience the staff hospitality and ambience of the restaurant location. 10/10

Superb! Found this little gem quite by accident and boy!, what a find! Beautiful menu, good wholesome food, carefully cooked with expertise, beautiful presentation with service second to none. The ambiance is just perfect. The staff were super attentive, chatty but not intrusive and such a pleasure to be around. The Pot Belly will be on my radar every time I'm north of the border, I wish it was closer.

Had a lovely lunch recently. Lovely atmosphere, the fire added to it! The food was reasonably priced however the spirits and mixers very expensive. We didn’t know what we paid for because the bill wasn’t itemised.

This the best restaurant around I cannot rate it heigh enough very friendly and helpful staff but most of all the food it is excellent you will not be disappointed.

Had dinner here it was almost tasteless obviously cheap ingredients but very expensive not worth the money by a long way

Lovely food delivered with great service.

Amazing food great for vegans and you have a choice not just one dish and vegan salted caramel cheese cake with vegan ice cream is to die for. The best of staff very friendly and nothing is a hassle with them. Highly recommend going here. I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful meal Very very disappointing that some customers were allowed to walk freely through a busy Restuarant with no face coverings including the owner of this Restuarant. Those same people who were on different party’s continued to chat to other customers within the Restuarant like there was no viris threat. NO member of staff or the owner rectified this Utterly disappointed ☹️

We treated our friend's mum to lunch today. On arrival we were met at the entrance and brought to our table, the atmosphere was warm and cosy, she was well impressed. Thank you for the lovely Sunday lunch we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. We all felt very reassured when entering the restaurant, the tables were well positioned to follow social distancing guidelines. We will be back very soon. Well done to all involved.

Very enjoyable lunch. Nice atmosphere, and attentive service. This place has a well deserved reputation.

So disappointing that this place that used to be one of my favourites has gone so badly downhill. Service was very average from we arrived until we left & they weren’t even busy. Menu similar to before but the quality of food not as good & my old favourite the chicken well it was so small & overcooked with the sauce just fired around it & not a garnish or potato in sight. Extra’s at £3.50 really makes it very expensive. We didn’t have deserts as we were so disappointed with the whole experience. Big shake up needed as it is known as one of the more expensive but good quality places around but not if it keeps going like that!

Hidden down a lane in the shadow of an old linen mill you will find this delightful restaurant. It is hard to know what to put first, the food, the staff or the quaint elegance of the restaurant! All deserve top marks! We love visiting here, for so many reasons. We particularly like it because even with a roast meal, it doesn’t have that mass produced taste, it is the real thing prepared with care. The menu we think caters for all tastes and diets and if you have special requirements as long as they are given prior notice they will prepare accordingly. However if you arrived without notice we know they would do their best to accommodate you if possible. At lunch time during the week they have a roast and should you have a small appetite you can have the smaller portion which suits me very well. I just must mention their mushroom starter and my husband has a favourite which is a chocolate nut dessert. They have an early bird menu, however to spoil yourself do go in the evening but maybe book.

Made a reservation for a family Sunday lunch. When we arrived the car park was full. We had to park on a grassy bank along a narrow lane way .Meal was booked for 2.30pm but when we arrived we were ushered upstairs to a room and told we’d have to wait for a table . Even though we had already made a reservation we had to wait for a full hour before a table was available .This was very poor customer service .When we were eventfully shown our table the menu looked dull. We had the Sunday lunch menu but that meant having to pay “supplements” for various items . Two members of our party ordered steak which meant a supplement of £8.50 each , one member of our party ordered chips which meant another”supplement” of £3.50 etc etc . The food itself was reasonably alright but service was very slow. Overall I would not recommend and I would not return

Attended a wedding here on the second of August the food was very good excellent staff but the place could do with an update the driveway in is a mess when leaving you are taking your life in your hands trying to get out on to the road o and by the way th.e drink is very expensive a gin and tonic is nine pounds won't be back

Fantastic as always! We held my dad’s 96th birthday lunch at the Pot Belly in April with friends and family. The food was delicious, the beautifully old mill is stunning and the welcome wonderful. Brian and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a lovely day. We have been dining there for more than 25 years since we held our beautiful summer wedding reception there in 1992 and it is still our favourite location, having celebrated many lovely family occasions there. Thank you Brian.

Arrived at 6.50 for a table of 2 told that was ok . Chef then told us he had everything turned off checked trip adviser and still says it opened till 7.30

A great venue for functions such as small intimate weddings. I was there yesterday and thought the atmosphere, service and quality of the food was excellent. Very impressed.

On arrival you are shown upstairs to lounge bar to peruse menu with a drink then downstairs to your table with staff member carrying your drinks. Nice chatty personable young barman made us very welcome and also talked to us of the history to the building. Had three courses, all food cooked well and very tasty. The Malbec was fantastic. I eat at the Potbelly 2-3 times a year if I am lucky. Never disappointed ! There’s a good bar in which to meet up before your mealtime, and good choices when you peruse the menu

Lovely décor and tables nicely set. Staff friendly but under attentive. Food flavoursome but very small portions for every course. Meal was very overpriced compared to other restaurants visited over the Christmas period. Disappointed.

Amazing little spot. I've visited 3 times in the last year and each time has been magical. Interior is cute and rustic but still homey. Bar area is a delight showing an old movie and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is spectacular, in particular the duck spring rolls for starters and the creamy chicken main.
