Lovely Wetherspoons, perfect place to grab a late breakfast after a night out in Brighton!

Food is ok , nothing extreme or super wow. Is always very very busy so service is rushed.

Doesn't disappoint and for the price you can't go wrong

Very busy when we visited, but managed to get a table and the food service was swift!

If you do not want to spend too much it is a choice

We had breakfasts and meals in the evenings which were lovely, food and drinks were very reasonable. The whole place was really busy and the staff were nice.

It’s an ok place but not conducive to just sit and loiter. Upstairs you face the banisters which is strange. Not large selection for vegetarians in the menu

Arrived at 4pm and nearly a fight starting at bar - standard fair for a Weatherspoons - but that’s what u get I guess for such reasonable drink prices 🤔🤣🍻 Recommend 🤣🤣🤣

Nice busy pub with friendly atmosphere (Saturday lunchtime). Full of interesting people. Food good and service prompt and courteous.

Watch out for the very steep.stairs only down side but very nice and chilled

Very nice pub with a lot of seating space and efficient table service. Plenty of options for food and drink and will be back for sure.

I only popped in to use the toilets so can't say much about this place apart from it was packed at 3pm on a weekday.

Affordable and comfortable food and drink. Unlike almost every other pub the prices here are the lowest you will find for some decent food, for £25 (2024) you can have a huge choice of 2 meals, 2 drinks and a coffee. Or pay just £16 (2024) for ''3-plates''. Comfortable seating, with some sought after booths available. A refillable coffee is just £1.50 cheaper than any rivals and also available for take-away. Always a popular venue, if you arrive after 2pm on Monday to Thursday you are more likely to have a choice of seats. The Upstairs area is very intimate. Disabled facilities available. Assistance dogs (eg Guide Dogs) only are allowed.

We visited this Wetherspoons in North Street, Brighton in January 2024 for drinks and evening food. The interior is similar to many Wetherspoons establishments, as is the clientele! Food was ok and good value real ale - Theakston's Old Peculiar - which I can't complain about. Generally friendly and helpful staff. Would return if in the area.

Love that you can take your own sandwich in here and eat it with an unlimited refillable hot beverage. Atmosphere was as you expect. Dull,hungover and smelly. Toilets were out of order and miles away.

Brighton v Crystal Palace day we visited. Packed out pub. Service was remarkable though. Excellent pint of Abbot. For anyone who doesn't like heights, word of advice, visit toilets elsewhere.

Good easy place to meet, eat and drink

Typical spoons, good beer, cheap prices. Staff were friendly, always around collecting empty glasses. The layout of the pub on the ground floor was just table and chairs, upstairs or halfway up had some bar stools with a short bar, you could either sit at the window or look across the ground floor, upstairs had a couple of snugs with table and chairs.

Same scenario as last Sunday in Hastings arrived around 11.45 in the morning needed to put something through quickly before 12.00 went for the breakfast wrap it came out piping hot nice wrap still hungry so I ordered an American burger it was lovely a cheeseburger with gurkins and mustard lovely and juicy one of the best burger's I've had for a long time chips nice and hot the staff on the ball well organized it's a busy pub in the centre of Brighton city if this Wetherspoons can get food out when there busy why can't the one in Hastings do it that last Sunday was Embarrassing shocking service this experience was 5🌟

This used to be a place for a cheap/budget friendly place for me to grab a breakfast with friends after the school run. This is no longer budget friendly. Almost 7 pounds for their small breakfast, it was freezing. Two smallest bits of cold bacon, a spoonful of beans, a cold egg and toast that is only toast on one side and cold again. Table was so sticky didn't want to touch it, the menus were just plain nasty to touch and the cups and cutlery were dirty. The place smelt like a mixture of you mouldy carpet and toilet smell. Would never ever go again. Would spend a few more pounds elsewhere and get something edible, warm in a clean environment.

Great staff, polite and friendly. Good atmosphere full of well behaved young people...great vibe about the place.

It is what it is. Good breakfast freshly cooked and served with a smile. Downstairs coffee machine out of order and not easy for a couple of our party to make the stairs for only working machine. But you can refill as often as you like.

Absolutely wonderful Weatherspoons...fantastic old building,amazing bar service,amazing food and drink which was all served very quickly within half an hour despite the premises being absolutely rammed in with loads of people.Our group of 3 needed to be fed before Donny Experience in The Brighton Centre.

A classic Weatherspoon experience id say. To add to it, Christmas cheer! I ordered fish and chips. The chips really are giant size most places here in Brighton. The fish was well cooked but toasty. The food and beverage combo prices are the best part of this place and then the service.

Great spot to have multiple drinks before having a night out. Lively and fun.

Coffee machine upstairs was turned off, downstairs one only dispensed chocolate that was disgusting. My son in law had a burger and chips that were stone cold.

Coffee machine milk is not hot and makes the coffee lukewarm. Adding hot water makes the coffee vile

Only had a few drinks so can't rate the scoff. Service is good and the place is big and nicely laid out and much better than expected, nice lighting and a good crowd. Priced as you'd expect from a wetherspoons

Couldn't get a seat. Most of the four seat tables had one person sat there.

Ok pub in the middle of town,very busy when we were there.

The carpet is a bit sticky, the tables can be a bit sticky, the menus are *very* sticky. But the glasses are clean and the ale is good and very cheap (£3 for a pint of Abbot is great!) and that's about as much as I care about in a drinking den.

Good old wetherspoons can't beat them eh!

Not a bad place average at best

Any criticism of this wetherspoons was everything I touched was sticky. The atmosphere was nice but was overcrowded with tables no room to get through I can't say I had a bad experience but went started getting busy I had to leave as there was very little room to move

As expected from weatherspoons. People kept falling down stairs to upper floor which has additional seating. Staff friendly and down for a laugh

Great place to stop for a drink and some hot food. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. You made our trip to Brighton better.

Had fish and chips which was delivered quickly despite the pub being heaving but fish looked and tasted very tired and dry. Chips were nice but portion of mushy pease very mean (about a dessert spoon full). Cookie Crunch dessert was ok but did not have any Belgian chocolate sauce as advertised in the menu. No milk available for mug of tea afterwards and bar was far too busy to queue and ask. Coffee/tea machine was in a very dark corner and area was poorly cleaned and untidy. Single Hand drier in gents toilets was not working. Toilets otherwise we’re quite clean. Not the best Weatherspoons experience we’ve had and we use them in other towns quite regularly.

Average Wetherspoons, the building is quite cool and the food is ok (wings, nachos, chips, etc). Unfortunately, we tried the Curry Club (Thursdays) - it is really bad, any mediocre Indian takeaway is better, I know that it sounds like a great deal but if you appreciate your palate just stay away from it.

Went to this place for the first time as tried going before and no seats available. Went here for lunch, ordered two mixed grills. Food was poor, very poor. Tasted like it was precooked and then frozen. Meat was chewy with a rubbery consistency. It didn't look appetising when it arrived. The drinks was usual wetherspoons selection. First impressions of this place is not good. There is a second wetherspoons in Brighton and their food is so much better. I won't be returning to this place for food if possible.

It's a 'Spoons! What are you expecting?! It's cheap drinks, sticky tables and a toilet halfway up a mountain.

Good old 'spoons It is what it is and it ain't what it aint. Footnote, why do most 'spoons loo like they need a bloody good clean/makeover? Just saying.. Enjoy

Food was served quickly but the portions were not up to other weatherspoons standards, in quality and quantity, staff at the bar were very helpful, but at the table a little exhausted maybe , it was very busy,

It's a Wetherspoons, so never expect much. Water dripping through ceiling next to our table, not even a bucket. Proper skanky.

Really nice Weatherspoons. Nice ambiance, food and drink is real value for money. I had chicken and bacon salad, with fried halloumi. It was lovely.

Came in for a quick pre gig pint so ordered at the bar not knowing how long table service would be. Being a Monday evening we were surprised when there was no lemonade the rum we ordered was also out (the cheapest one on the menu) The guy behind the bar was very nice about it and we enjoyed the drinks we had but it seemed like very basic things to run out of.

Usual spoons, grubby, toilets upstairs. Food as usual.

Lovely, friendly bloke behind the bar and cheap as you like. The beer, not the bloke. Whoever does the hiring and firing in here would do well to be in charge of the whole company, to be fair. Great effort.

Decent. It’s a little messy and grim at times. However, I think it’s due to the people on Fridays and Saturdays getting drunk and making a mess.

Be careful the staff massively under pour the measures. Avoid

Can't believe people are moaning. It the spoons You can always get better quality, but you have to spend money.

Great pub! Good location, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The interior and exterior are lovely. The building dates back to the 1920s. Plenty of seating that covers two floors. Restrooms are upstairs, but there is a handicapped restroom on the ground floor as well as handicapped accessible entrance. It was a busy pub, but the bar staff were on top of things so orders were fulfilled in a timely manner. Definitely the better JD Wetherspoon pub of the two that are in Brighton.

Delicious food at a relatively low price

The breakfasts, both normal and large, are still reasonably good value. The thing that let's them down for me though is the poor quality of baked beans piled on the plate. If I forget to ask for no beans, I leave them on the plate, lonely and untouched. Perhaps they should stop penny-pinching and use Heinz.

Actually I would have to say this is one of the better wetherspoons in Brighton, very good value on drink and food compared to other pubs, however the popularity of it, does mean your often queuing at bar to get drink, and normally waiting to get a table, so you tend to have to find a hole to stand with drink, but it's OK if your in with friends

Decent scampi, chips and peas. Order came with garden, not mushy peas, apart from that, brilliant. Only got 4 stars, as not really my kind of place. Food was hot, and proper scampi, not mushed up fishy bits. Drinks and 2 scampi and chips for just over £21, can't really grumble.

Visited post and telegraph for lunch, was very busy and we went up stairs as downstairs tables were either occupied or piled high with uncollected crockery. Tried to order on app but it wouldn't work so went and ordered at bar. Food arrived fairly quickly and was ok, naan bread with curry was a tad burnt on bottom and rice could of been warmer. The place needs a good clean and more staff clearing tables no tables were cleared away the whole time we were there which put people off. Toilets were clean though

I attended with some friends. We all had a great time ⌚. Great value food 🍲 and beer 🍻. Excellent customer service. 🙂
