Run down dump! Especially the exterior looks like wasteland! Walked in the pub, got a friendly welcome but really didn't fancy eating there so we didn't stay

What a shame, revisiting after an enforced 4 year break and what a change!! Instead of not being able to get a seat, there was only us and 2 other people in the pub. No real ale (the reason we go), so assume it is no longer a Fuller’s pub. The local regulars were obviously real ale drinkers as they are no longer the fixture at the corner table by the bar. They say you should never go back - how right they are when it comes to this former gem of a pub.

Came here last week to eat with a friend. The food was amazing so good that we went back a couple of days later.and all staff very friendly

Great pub, right by Heathrow. Almost dead on a Tuesday lunchtime but I hope it gets busier at other times. No real ale on tap and the beer was not cheap for this provincial boy, but the food was really tasty, well cooked and extremely generous portions. We had Chicken New Yorker and BBQ rib dishes, both came with lots of very good chips and several types of perfectly cooked veg - and the veg are the thing that's actually hardest to get right. Under new management since early March 2024, just before this review, definitely worth checking out before you fly instead of the overpriced and bland Heathrow offerings. Make sure to validate your parking at the bar- this is well signposted.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is top, the staff is very polite and the food is delicious 🔝😍 There also is a free parking for those who come with their car and a bus stop nearby - easy to get here by transport.

We have been coming here pre flights for 15 years. It has been thru turbulent times with Covid etc. the new management are really trying hard. I had one of the best steaks ever. Give them a try. (Can you please get some real ale for next time!).

Absolutely love this place very warm cosy atmospheres fantastic the staff are very polite. The owners are brilliant love them both massive respect if you haven’t been here before you must try I’m so glad I live nearby this place it’s like our second home fantastic

Just got back from having a meal here. Lovely place and exactly what we were looking for. We are staying at the Radisson conference hotel and going to the expensive and more than likely lifeless on-site restaurant did not appeal. The Plough is approximately a 20 mins walk in a straight line from the hotel. Plenty of choice on the menu at good prices with a a good selection of beers, lagers and wine. A nice oldy worldly feel to the pub too, with very friendly and attentive staff. We both really enjoyed our meals and if we stay at the Radisson conference centre again, we would definitely return and we would definitely recommend :-)

Very quiet when I was there but before lunch service started so that may be why.

Looking for a relaxing lunch before dropping my wife off for a flight and not wanting her to be ripped of in mayhem in departures restaurants, came across this lovely old pub less than 10 minutes away. Not too busy. Fabulously warm hospitality. Excellent chicken kebab dish and chicken New Yorker dish wit lashings of salad, chips and three hot veg. Promptly served and delicious. A hidden gem with cleanest pub loos we’ve come across for ages. Ample car park too. Will return next time too or for a bite after flight before a drive back to the country. Thanks and we’ll done!!

I used to visit this restaurant when I was staying at the Holiday Inn nearby, however, I returned yesterday to find that the BBQ ribs that I loved are no longer enough, that is, the dish is considerably smaller and no longer available. They offer bread and butter as a starter. They are still very delicious tho!

Never complain about food but this place couldn't even serve a vegetable burger. Fish was old and not fresh. Service was shoddy; drinks order forgotten and substandard food took an hour to arrive. DO NOT bother.

Spent an evening at The Plough recently. The pub has an amazing ambience, ample parking space, delicious food and great service.Must visit if you want to enjoy the sunshine with some draught beer and good food.

Restaurant was okay. But all menus were not available. Had to leave because of that.

The Plough was shutdown by the health department in the first week of June. Now looks like a ghost town. Umbrellas still up but no one there.

We've been coming here for 14 years, always been lovely food, great pride was taken in the look of the place, with beautiful flowers outside attracting foreign visitors from the hotel next door. Different story now I am afraid, window boxes falling apart and full of weeds, decking sticking up. Rubbish and fag ends littered all outside. Shortcuts on food too . Very disappointing, not sure if we will go back again.

CLOSED until further notice. Court order. We’ve visited many times, we love the food and the outdoor ambience in the summer time.

Beer garden could do with a clean up as loads of rubbish laying around and a repaint and spruce up on the flower pots and baskets

Passed up several places after visiting the British Museum. Glad we did. Fish ‘n Chips were excellent. People’s meat pies looked equally good. Tough choices 🤔 Upstairs was reserved so by the time our food arrived on the dumb waiter the restaurant was full. Only two staff behind the bar but they did a super job 👍 Outside date said the building was built in 1799 so this certainly is an historical pub.

Absolutely awful food, the garden area is falling apart and looks nothing like the pictures on this site. I would not bother wasting your time or money!

The pub itself was ok, I had a beer and my friend had a coffee (Nescafé) at £2.50. Cheesy chips seemed to have been reheated and definitely not fresh.. The place was quite busy in the afternoon and they seemed to specialise in Currys, so am sure they were ok.

We visited tonight for a meal . Generous size portions and all piping hot . Everyone was really pleased with their choices, sausage and mash, chicken curry and a ham/mushroom omelette . Very friendly staff. Throughly recommend Thank you

Food was lovely, really quaint inside, beautiful at the front of the building, car park is a bit run down etc. staff were friendly and a decent menu, with large portions.

Decore was okay but the food was everything you would want from a pub. Steak and ale pie was awesome, fish and chips great, and the portions were large.

My partner and I just left there. This was the best "pub food" we experienced in 5 days in London. The cod and chips were great and the steak and ale pie even better. We sat out on the patio on a sunny afternoon in late October. We found this place by accident and so glad we did.

So I normally take my friends to the Pheasant but it was closed. Looked up on Google maps for another pub with great food. And we ended up at the Plough. Boy was I happy. Friendly staff and very old style pub. Good option of good old English grub and also Asian/Indian dishes. A local from thw pub suggested that I go for the Cumberland sausage, mash, red onion gravy inside a massive Yorkshire pudding. He was right it was so good.

Quiet, small place. Could probably use some extra TLC, but the staff was very friendly and my food was AMAZING!!! Came in pretty late but didn't feel rushed at all!

This has been my favourite food pub for many many years. I've always recommended it to people. On a visit to the pub yesterday I was extremely disappointed. Tables were sticky even after cleaning them. Food was not up its usual high standard. Service was slow even though the pub was quiet. We were celebrating a birthday and we were extremely disappointed.

My last visit will be my last beer is overpriced tables were sticky. We decided to order a mixed Grill which was absolutely awful kebabs were not fresh frozen out of a packet my guess. Asked for Chilli garlic Naan got the naan but without the chilli. Complained replaced with the exact same thing. This is not authentic Indian cooking it is a total shambles. When i challenged the staff about my dissatisfaction they did not seem interested. Stay away from this place. Go to the Prince of Wales in Southall if you want proper authentic Indian food

Sunday dinner here before a Heathrow drop off. Good food and drinks. Nice service and decent price. Place a bit tired looking but the atmosphere n welcome made up for it. The mash, gravy and vegetables on the dinner were very good

Having been coming to The Plough over a 30 year period when visiting London, it is such a real shame to see what's happened to it. Once it was an English country pub with great food and service - and well worth adding an extra night at Heathrow just to go there for dinner. Coming to London once again, we booked a hotel nearby and made a dinner reservation at The Plough for 7pm. Pulling up out the front, the first thing we saw was a large sign saying TANDOORI CAFE across the top of what used to be an outside food service area. On going inside, we realised we need not have bothered to make a reservation. We were seated and given the menus along with TANDOORI MENU. Our usual starter was the breaded mushmoom caps which used to be great - followed by the grilled Scottish salmon fillet. We ordered the same items and it was all down hill from there. Asking for a wine list, the young waitress replied " We don't have one because the prices change all the time." REALLY ?! So , taking pot luck and with no idea of price, we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio. It was not Italian and very ordinary for 16 pounds. The starters came out and instead of whole mushroom caps , they were chopped up small field mushrooms. The salmon then came out and it was overcooked and had obviously been in a microwave. It seems The Plough is no longer what it used to be and for some unknown reason, whoever owns it now is trying to turn it into an Indian Tandoori Restaurant !!! It's a real shame that this has happened and after so many really nice dinners there, we will not be going back.

Pretty freaking delicious! Unfortunately, they didn't have the Wild Boar Burger but the Gourmet Burger was awesome.

To begin with, we were warmly welcomed,, and escorted to a spacious seating area it was approaching 9pm when they stopped taking orders. The pub was very quiet. My husband chose a Rib Eye Steak costing £19.95 with the usual trimmings. There were 5 of us in total, choosing various dishes, which were ok only. My husband asked for his steak to be cooked rare, it arrived and I thought it didn’t look anything special, it was flat identical to frying steak and dry looking. My husband cut into it and it certainly wasn’t rarely cooked, it was full of gristle and tasteless. I told him to speak up about it but he didn’t want to cause a fuss, he reluctantly continued to eat it, then put his cutlery down as it was such poor quality. We’ve had rib eye before and tasted different to this and didn’t looked appetising. I’m not saying it wasn’t as I’m not a butcher or chef, but customers ask for whatever steak and no proof of what cut it is. We enjoyed the drinks and I repeat we were warmly greeted.

Desperate for an evening pre-flight meal, ended up here as no other local establishment was offering food at the time of our visit (early evening). The outside of the pub has the charm of a village pub, but inside needs updating. Some photos on the walls have been there since the 80's! Food was good, but not going to win any prizes. Staff were friendly.

I had a very nice experience here. Staff are very nice and helfull. You have many choice of foood, such as beef, lamp, chicken, fish… There are many kind of beer, draft, bottle… The area is beautiful, wooden table, flower, decoration, lights… I had nothing to complain about this place! ❤️

What an unexpected treasure. We had a great meal, cold drinks and top notch company. The Chicken Tikka with Garlic Nan is a must try. This place was the best way to wrap up our Europe vacation.

Not sure whether there has been a change in ownership/management recently but this place was such a disappointment compared to the average google ratings.. Dirty carpets, chair pads, sticky tables, place smelled of curry as there is a tandoori kitchen that operates from 5pm and overall the place needs a careful restoration as it’s a nice old pub. There were other patrons who were just loud, and didn’t care about the others inside a small seating area. All the tables had reserved signs on but not many people came in… food - pretty poor unless it was Indian - which most seemed to have some level of crossover taste/mix. Service was ok and friendly. The setting and building are great - it’s such a shame to see this missed opportunity to show the travellers from nearby heathrow and others what a traditional English pub experience is…as a Brit that now lives abroad I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for an English Pub. Probably better curry houses to go to too.

Along Sipson road just outside Holiday Inn Express Sipson. Convenient location accessible by bus number 222 Deliciously prepared BBQ spare ribs and a good selection of loquors, beers on tap and ales. Outdoor and indoor seating and ample parking.

The food was tasteless and badly presented. Just a pile of food badly presented. We packed the meat from the plate for our dog as we couldn't eat.

I was having a terrible day, I made reservations at 2 hotels around but they were closed, reserved for the government! When we arrived, a man welcomed us with so much joy that it made half the stress disappear! Super receptive, friendly, he said that everyone in his family spoke Portuguese except him haha ​​we had a good laugh with him, the place is BEAUTIFUL full of beautiful flowers, outdoor tables, delicious food, beer at the perfect temperature, everything is clean, we LOVE each other I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back!!

Good food, good service. Don't waste money on a taxi if you have a layover. Just hop on the bus and trust the bus route because it really works.

The worst Sunday roast I ever had if you can call it that. Taste like curry and it was such a mess on the plate I didn't know what I was eating. Yuk. Also bar man acted as if we were an inconvienance. Fire is nice in the winter though.

It is a PUB in the traditional suburb, delicious food, excellent prices, flavor and service and delicious draft beer.

Parked at the holiday inn next door and went for some food. Fairly quiet on our visit. Staff were nice and pleasant. No beers but settled for Newcastle Brown in a bottle. Wild boar burger not available so had a spicy lamb burger which was really nice. Their toilets were immaculately clean.
