Great traditional pub. No gimmicks, TV etc. Great service from Bar Staff.

Very busy pub, good atmosphere and a great pint of porter, dog friendly and great staff

Excellent cask ales served, a few are brewed on site.

Disappointed with Our Treatment at The Pilot. If I could leave no stars I would We’ve been loyal customers of The Pilot for many years, but after our experience today, we’re extremely disappointed. Our family group—six adults and two teenage children—was turned away because we were deemed a “group” of more than six. This was during a family day out, and it’s upsetting to think that as a family we were refused service. We’ve always considered The Pilot to be a welcoming and family-friendly spot, but this rigid and unreasonable policy has completely changed our perception. Families should feel welcome, not penalised for wanting to spend time together. I hope management takes this feedback on board because turning away long-standing customers on a family outing is no way to run a community pub.

Visited today 16/12/2024, later afternoon. A really good pub. Dog friendly, as it's almost Christmas mince pies were put out on the bar for customers to help themselves which was a nice touch. Lovely and warm in there, nice fireplace, good decor, dog friendly. More importantly great beer, a good selection of ales and ciders. I had black storm stout, really nice, tasted as it should. The only thing that's missing from giving 5 stars is unfortunate with it being quite small and hard to get a seat (nothing they can do about it). Picky maybe but it seems to get quite full in there so it's not particularly a place I'd go to for a few pints with having to stand or prop up a seat at the bar (maybe just a quick 1 instead). Everything else is great but I have to rate the experience as a whole. 4.5/5 if it were possible to give it the +.5 in the star rating. A pleasant experience.

We're genuinely lucky to have a venue such as this in the locality. The friendly atmosphere and locally brewed beers on offer (the site has its own on site microbrewery) are second to none and the whole package is just so refreshing in every possible way

I just gave it all stars, as I thought it was the best pub I've been to in years. Brilliant. And some good own brew beer. And boardgames. Friendly. I'd almost move to Mumbles for it ;)

Proper local pub with great beer

A must visit if you enjoy an excellent range and selection of traditional ales/ciders at reasonable prices. Just make sure someone else is driving!

Very friendly service and dog friendly. We only had coffee but this came with 2 Pks of biscuits. Nice coffee too and only £5. I would definitely recommend it. Not many people in but got busier as we left. Would certainly patronize this pub again.

A pub! Packed full of locals and knowledge. Even had their own brewed ale. Perfect!

I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked through the door. Beer selection was ace. The bar man was very friendly and I made a comment to him that I was tempted to honk a decorative horn on the wall - and then he honked it. 11 out of 10 for the honks.

What a wonderful pub. No egos there, just really nice staff and friendly customers. I think we might have found our new local. Only 2 miles from my home too.

We are having a weekend break in the mumbles.two nights spent in the pilot pub.it is so friendly .the barman fantastic. At this minute sitting in the window seat looking out to sea.would recommend it to everyone

Fantastic micro brewery and pub. Lovely staff and tasty beer. My only disappointment was that i couldnt stop longer. Traditional pub where locals and visitors mix. Welcome and warm inside. Bus stop outside on the route back to Swansea. I recommend the Pilot Brewery Gold. A golden ale which was tremendous. A definate recommend.

Called in for a drink after a meal in Mumbles. The afternoon we visited was very busy so we had a job to find a seat but we did. Even though it was busy the service was excellent and there was a good atmosphere. There is also a good choice y drinks.

A lovely old-fashioned pub looking out across the bay. Micro-brewery and other cask ales. Pilot Gold a great beer! No music, just the sound of conversation!

Great locals pub. Good prices. Good hosts. The ability to engage in a conversation without having to shout over music is a bonus. Unbeatable views from the window seats.

Wonderful micro-brewery with a buzzing tap-room serving half a dozen hand-pumped real ales.. Obviously very popular as it was so busy when we visited at about 3pm on a Saturday. They're doing an excellent job and the proof was in the pudding, so to speak. We are CAMRA members and lifelong real ale lovers and we couldn't fault it! Keep up the good work, lads!

Can't comment on food, we only dropped in for a quick drink and to use the loos on a windy, cold day. Great atmosphere, friendly efficient staff, clean toilets, lots of dogs, (very friendly dogs and very dog friendly) good selection of beers plus tea and coffee. Very reasonable prices. We shall visit often.

Was at The Pilot last week. Can't remember the last time I saw Draught Bass on sale...absolutely perfect condition pint...and £3.70! Then had Pilot Gold...brewed on the premises...another perfect pint. Locals very chatty, great atmosphere, great selection of beers , great prices too!! 👍

Came for a couple of Ciders on Sunday afternoon after a longwalk. The young boy behind the bar talking about football was soo friendly and warm and welcoming, he treats everyone soo lovely and makes you want to stay here forever. The prices are really good. This is a beautiful welcoming local pub with great staff. This is in a great location, we sat by the window and looked out to the sea and people watched. It was perfect. Come and visit, you will not be Disappointed. It's everything a good pub should be and more.

We normally visit on a Sunday with our dog Lemmy. He loves it here almost as much as we do! Very dog friendly pub and when it’s not too busy they get a little dog treat too. Very friendly staff, highly recommend a visit

Initially, it seemed like a lovely local pub!! We were there for the rugby match Ireland v England 2023 Gram Slam!!! Ireland won🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪☘️ and they turned the tv off! I continued to look at footage from my phone and the land lady came and told me to turn it the volume down😡😡😡 very annoyed as I thought Wales would have been be supported of Ireland. We had been there for the whole match spending some money in this pub! Mumbles is a very very nice place, but would not return to this pub again unfortunately, because of the land lady! Very unfriendly 🙄
