Marvellous location overlooking Holy Isle at Lamlash. Beautiful garden, great ,really tasty food and friendly ,efficient staff. Music on sunday afternoons currently complying with Covid regulations.A great dining and relaxing experience.31/12/23.Just spent new year here doing 2 gigs.Superb as ever great food and a great new year party.

A great pub serving good food. We were visiting Arran and got such a warm welcome from the landlady and staff. We visited twice as our first time wasn’t enough!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lamlash, Isle of Arran Frequented the Pierhead on 3 occasions, cracking pint of Guinness 🍻👍🏻 The quiz was thoroughly, if not a little difficult for us. Don is a very pleasant and entertaining quizmaster 🤩

Food excellent, service very lacking in attention. Music didn't add to the experience. We went in had to re order our water, gave our food order, got food, which was great, ordered dessert, cranachan which was tiny, bit of cream a few oats, no taste of whisky, a couple of raspberries, served in a small martini glass pretty poor for one of Scotlands great dishes.

Arrived on time but a table had to be set up near the door, through from kitchen, very busy spot. We were told later that a large booking arrived over an hour late and had affected later bookings. Food was good and service staff were very helpful and attentive.

Quite disappointing, Miserable and rude staff....paid cash for my overpriced meal and was ushered off to a different till that accepts cash, apparently, asked for receipts, as you do....unhappy bar staff screaming 'oh my god' and was ushered back to first till so it could be printed. Food OK Beer OK...dirty glasses. Chilly building. Frosty environment. Expensive for what it is.....

We stopped here for a pint and bite to eat one lunchtime whilst on holiday. Lovely beer (Loch Lomond brewery), lovely sandwich, friendly staff and very dog friendly. It's a shame we didn't have the opportunity to come back for an evening. Highly recommended.

Holidaying on Arran, 2nd visit and just as good as last year! The food is amazing, restaurant standard, plenty of choice and good options on childrens menu, highly recommended

We popped in here after a hike up to the waterfalls, and Giants grave it has amazing vies of the harbour and holy island We only had a couple of drinks and loaded fries, and the fries were amazing. i had the Tandoori ones, and my friends had the pizza ones.

Of all the meals we ordered the vegan hamburger left me scratching my head! It was plain and very disappointing. Service was really poor as it was busy and they were understaffed. All our other meals were fantastic though.

Such a great place to eat and drink. Eaten twice over the last week at the PHT while staying in Lamlash. We had a party of 10 and accommodated us without a problem, the service was fantastic so friendly and food was great. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to eat or drink..👍🏻👏🏻

Unctuous dirty burger with haggis topping. Delicious Arran Blonde ale. Excellent.

We've come here three times, in three days (twice for dinner, once just for drinks). That says enough. Great food, friendly people, nice atmosphere and nice whisky selection!

My husbands food was good but mine wasn't so good

Brilliant meal just slow food service.

The food was good, and the service impeccable. But I did not like the volume of the music, as it made people talking louder, till the point that it was not pleasant.

Probably the nicest place I went to eat and drink while in Arran. Great atmosphere, real ales on draft, and the Saturday live music is brilliant. I had the pepperoni pizza burger and it was pretty decent, definitely not the best burger I’ve had but definitely not the worst. Food portion sizes are good, proper pub grub. Went for a drink twice and stayed to dine once. Staff are friendly, and prices are reasonable. If you go, try to go on a Saturday night as you’ll be treated to a few hours of great music.

A nice pub to stop off for a pint and some food, a good selection available from the menu, including Fish n chips, pies, pizza, burgers, pasta and curries. I opted for the Dirty fries, with tandoori chicken, mozzarella cheese and feugo taki flavour, they were nice and spicy too. My friend went for Nduja sausage pasta and we both enjoyed our food, great friendly service too.

Only place that I’ve ever been to that doesn’t accept driving license provisional as ID.🤔

Wow, this was a nice surprise! Pleasant atmosphere, cost pub with some people at the bar and nice restaurant with two nice ladies as waitresses. We had the green curry. It was nice and creamy, had some spuce and there were sime good vegetables and juicy chicken in it and the fish and chips. The fish had a good crunchy crust and the chips were crunchy too. The kids had cheesy chips and chips and pizza which they both loved. And then the chocolate fudge cake, that was lovely. The only thing that could have been better was the Brussels waffle. In my opinion it should have been warm. All in all I would highly recommend the Pierhead Tavern.

Didn't eat this time but we found this wonderful pub just off the main Brodick road. Great staff. Good choice of beer. Then there's the whiskey. It's Arran time.

Loved it! Went there two nights for dinner, and quiz night second night. Very friendly, welcoming, food very tasty and served nicely. Staff are very helpful .Quiz night was fun, despite the fact we were not great! Quite expensive, but we didn't mind.

Had to go to bar to get menu and drink also had to ask for someone to take our order.However food and atmosphere was good.

Local pub atmosphere, but with really good food. The steak was really well cooked, and the Onion Rings! The onion rings, could be the best!!!

Nice pub with a lovely view from the terrace. Some nice beers and friendly staff. I had fish and chips which was OK and my wife had a chicken burger which she said was awful, so food not fantastic.

Ein Glücksgriff, waren dreimal dort zum Essen. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker, die Auswahl ordentlich. Preislich liegt alles im schottischen Normalbereich, also leicht über dem deutschen Niveau. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, die Wartezeit ziemlich kurz. Gute Getränkeauswahl auch, es gibt eine Dachterrasse oder man sitzt vor dem Pub/Restaurant oder natürlich drinnen. Reservierung wird empfohlen, da Arran nicht sooo reichlich mit Restaurants bestückt ist (etliche haben ein oder sogar zwei Tage in der Woche geschlossen). Parkplätze gibt es direkt gegenüber. Toiletten sind auch in Ordnung.

Schönes Restaurant mit gutem Essen, einem guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und nettem Personal. Reservierung ist hier von Vorteil.

We recently visited the beautiful Isle of Arran, as our ferry back was a late one we decided to have something to eat before returning. Many places turned us away without hesitation as we didn't have a booking. But, the lovely gent behind the bar at the Pierhead Tavern said he could squeeze us in, but had reservations arriving shortly. We didn't mess about with ordering, two Fish and Chips and for me a Dirty Burger with Haggis, Black Pudding and Peppercorn Sauce. Within a few minutes our food arrived. Fish & Chips looked great but what really stood out was the Dirty Burger - it was AMAZING! So much so the others wanted a taste too! When we come back, we will visit again! Thank you so much.

Stopped off for a quick drink whilst out walking, really friendly staff, great banter, fab little seating area out the front. Really great place.

Bon accueil, prix correct (pour l'Ecosse). Bonne soupe du jour et je recommande le plat de Fusilli avec crème de Mascarpone, saucisse poivron oignon, super gouteux et généreux.

Atmosphere is great as was the food! Amazing piece of haddock! Service was Ok. Took asking 3 servers to finally get a glass of water. Go figure.

Friendly staff, great portion sizes, clean and well kept. The vegan risotto was our favorite out of all of the meals. Will come back again next time we are in Arran.

Renowned for it's seafood. The food and choice are great. Nice atmosphere. Can be busy so booking is recommended.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend hier, es gab live Musik, das ist sb und an wohl dort so und war sehr schön! Die Bedienung war super nett und sehr schnell, wir mussten nie lange warten. Unser Hund war nicht nur erlaubt, sondern ausdrücklich willkommen, was sehr schön war. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker, da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Wir kommen nochmal wieder! It was a great evening at Pierhouse Tavern, the service was really excellend, so friendly and very fast, never had to wait for a long time. We liked a Lot that our dog not just was "accepted", but was very welcome. Food was also very good, we like to come back.

The atmosphere was quite nice and waitresses were friendly but the food was really sub-par, especially for the price. I had the burger and would say it was barely edible, a freezer mass produced burger patty with some fatty bacon and a bit of cheese, I didn't enjoy it and it cost £17. My husband had the thai green curry and again, it wasn't great. Overall very expensive for little pleasure.

Nice food Service very slow - appeared to be well understaffed! Dessert was a disappointment - 3 small (very small) scoops of very icy ice-cream, in a plain bowl for £6!!!!!!!

Myself and my wife went into the Pierhead for dinner while we were on Arran for a few days,would highly recommend,food was excellent,make sure you have a big appetite,big portions.👍

The establishment was gracefully decorated, so wear and tear to wallpaper. Meals were on the expensive side, but that's the way these days. Friendly and helpful staff, currently out of season, but keeping busy. They have a local blonde cask ale, which was good. Good for WiFi.

Stayed one night on the Isle of Arran,went to the pierhead tavern for dinner had some lovely sea bass great food and very friendly staff it was recommended by the b&b we stayed in,well worth a visit.

Just spent another week in Lamlash 12th visit to Arran. Have always brought family and friends and found the PHT to be a really friendly place. Still love the staff and the food. Spoilt by three idiots at the bar who thought it was ok to take the p out of my friend. Really do you 3 think that you keep the lovely place open all year with a couple of beers ..NO it's the visitors.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere with amazing staff and very tasty food. We hadn't booked and they managed to squeeze us in. I recommend booking as very popular.

The premises are OK. The staff were good and the menu was better than many we've seen. It had something to suit most people. It's not 5 star standard food, but is good and well priced. I'd happily eat here again

Great atmosphere, live music, good selection of beers and wines. Lovely beer garden with it's own bar.

Service lacking, asked for some drinks several times before getting. Food not great, my cauliflower dish was undercooked and lacking in flavour. It was very busy and quiz night, so seemed they'd overbooked.

Would definitely recommend this establishment for eating at, we sat up on the roof garden for dinner the great plus our dog was allowed to be with us.
