The Peking Inn in Windsor and Maidenhead

After a discrepancy about the booking time, we were offered a complementary drink for the mishap. My mum left her handbag which the staff kept safe for us until collection, so we were very grateful. However, I am not happy that my number has been used to acquire a review. I called regarding the handbag, and am very particular about my privacy/data handling. The waitresses were friendly and the food was pleasant. Noodles a bit on the spicy side even for us.

Once again we had a fabulous meal with a great selection on offer. The service was exemplary and friendly with all of our requests catered for as always. If you fancy a Chinese meal anytime then this is the place to go.

We normally have takeaway but decided to eat at the restaurant, as always the food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend The Peking Inn for eating in or takeaway.

Not been here for a long time and no reason why, but glad we returned. Greeted with a lovely warm welcome, food was delicious and atmosphere really good, everyone seemed to be having a great time. Will definitely be returning more often and if we can get out, be great for takeaways which it also seemed very popular for.

Last night my wife and I went back to the Peking Inn in Cookham after an enforced absence thanks to the Cookham Bridge being closed for 5 months, our link across the Thames. As usual you couldn’t find more warm and welcoming staff in a restaurant anywhere. The restaurant is always spotless, well designed and nicely laid out in a prime position in Cookham High Street. We chose one of the set menus at very good value considering its a three course meal including tea or coffee too. The mixed starters of seaweed, ribs, chicken satay and mini pancake rolls were delicious. This was followed by Peking Duck with pancake rolls , the sauce was thick and rich and the duck had a really nice crunch to the skin. Then the main course if egg fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce, prawns with ginger and spring onion, sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style, mixed veg and beef. All scrumptious and completely eaten. We added a course of toffee bananas to go with our coffee with ice cream to round off an excellent meal. Throughout the meal the servers and managers came over to chat with us during which I mentioned we were celebrating my 70th birthday. Much to my surprise they immediately brought out an ice cream platter with a candle and flare in it singing happy birthday to me with all the restaurant joining inn. A memorable night! I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough hence the top marks.

No, no, just no. Going to the restaurant, 15 minutes after opening. About a quarter full. Told it would be an hour to get a very small take-away. I'm assuming the cooks didn't turn up, and the waiter needs to cook. There was no explanation or apology - just that a take-away would mean waiting an hour. I left, went to another local Chinese restaurant, and was served immediately.

I just love coming back to this restaurant! The food is superb and never ever disappoints, the staff are so friendly, helpful and food is always served quickly and is always hot and plates are always warm, I just wish I didn’t live so far away! 10 out of 10

We went for the traditional Feast adding several extras. The Peking Duck course was excellent and the staff were very happy boxing up the food we had leftover. My daughter took it back to Surrey and it was still delicious the next day.
