We wouldn't have known about this place as a local friend who took us to it. It is located on the Highland Games ground and this development was the brainchild of Price Charles. Beautifully built as well. There is also a gallery attached for which there is a charge. We just had tees, coffees and cakes but very nice and helpful staff.

Visited during our regular trip to the area in stunning autumn. What a great surprise to see the new pavilion with it’s fantastic exhibition on the gathering over the centuries and the five star restaurant with it’s excellent food served by helpful, caring staff. This is definitely worth a visit and adds to tourism in Braemar.

This is a fairly new venture right inside the famous Braemar Gathering Park, Prince Charles himself is an investor. The tea rooms are classy and their is a wide range of cakes, pastries, hot savouries and "Chalk Board" meals. Within the tea-rooms their is also a gift shop with a limited but attractive range of souvenir gifts. A licenced bar is also available. Adjacent to the Tea-Rooms their are various exhibitions but you need to pay extra to visit these. For sure given the name of the business and the people behind it you will not be dis-appointed. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We popped in here for morning coffee and it really is a lovely place. Situated in the grounds of the famous Highland Games park, it was very pleasant to sit by the window looking at the lovely surroundings. We only had coffee and cake, but they were delicious and very reasonably priced, and I thought that the prices here in general are most reasonable. The pavilion is a lovely building and the service was charming. What a lovely place to have morning coffee.

We were primarily there to walk the grounds of the famous Highland Games Pavilion and Park. Timing was right for a lovely light lunch and some delicious Scottish carbs. The facility seemed new, bright and inviting. Good service, excellent hot drinks and tasty fresh food – just what we needed.I was surprised how quiet it was, but appreciated the experience. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had lunch with our daughter and son-in-law at the Pavillion Cafe, and what a treat it was. The menu is excellent, (far more than is shown on the website), with something for everyone, and there are really delicious cakes and bakes too. I had booked a table in advance. it was quite quiet when we went in, but filled up later on, so I'd definitely advise booking if you are wanting lunch. My husband and son-in-law both had Venison Burgers, our daughter had a Goat's Cheese & Pesto Salad and I had Coronation Chicken Salad. My husband and daughter had a cake and a traybake to share too. The decor is beautiful and the staff were really friendly and provided excellent service. We will definitely be visiting again.

Well worth a visit, beautiful building and exquisite surroundings. We have coffee/hot chocolate and cake, would recommend the rocky road. Lovely views over the surrounding country side and the Highland games grounds, albeit a little quiet on our visit, but you can imagine the roars and cheers from the spectators and see where Her Majesty sits and views the games...Thank you and we shall return again.

My husband and I had lunch here on Saturday, so delighted we returned on Monday. The food is fresh, local, imaginative and dietary requirements are catered for. Staff are friendly, well trained and efficient. The decor is beautiful and the pavilion is situated in the Braemar Highland games park. Beautiful and serene scenery. Everything was perfect for us and will highly recommend here to our friends. The exhibition is apart from the restaurant. The price for the food is reasonable for the quality and the size of the portions. Will return here.

We stopped by yesterday and had lovely tea and cake. Enjoyed the surroundings. Was quite disappointed at the hefty charge to see the museum. May be it was to pay for the guide. The museum is quite small and I put the emphasis on small and the price does not seem proportionate.

Macduff is a bit limited in the food stakes but this small cafe more than makes up for that. A warm welcome, decent menu, and fair prices. Filling portions, service was speedy. Does a range of full meals and lighter bites. Fully wheelchair accessible. Recommended!

We dropped by here for a late Saturday lunch and were lucky to get a table. The place looks great and the food was tasty. However when I asked about what beers they have, the waiter was adamant that lager is not beer, which is obviously not true. Also, if you're going to hand out little feedback cards, then you should also hand out pens to write on them with. So for these 2 last things, -1 star, but it was a good experience and we'd consider coming back whenever we're in the area again.
