Great place to stop off for a beer on the way home from a dog walk at the park. Really warm, friendly and welcoming customers and bar staff.

Absolutely brilliant we pub. Such a great atmosphere very friendly. Went in today for lunch, hadn't booked but proprietor went out his way to help. Menu was lovely and varied and we had something of the light bites. It was amazing I'll be back. Prices are excellent too.

My son and his partner took me out for dinner and his choice of venue was spot on. The steak pie is simply wonderful and prawn cocktail excellent, topped off with rhubarb crumble and ice cream... Delicious!

have been to loads of restuarants over the years, this is one i cannot fault,staff were excellent,and as for the 3 course meal was out of this world,get the chance will be there again on my next visit

Do you know what, I really liked this place! First time there, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the barlady was lovely and friendly, and I felt right at homeas soon as we entered. They also allow dogs, which is brilliant as I'd stopped by with a friend when we were walking the pooch. Love the vintage pub look too, its nice to go to somewhere that's affordable and cosy. Definitely recommend after a walk around Ravenscraig!

Busy friendly pub. The oldest pub in Kirkcaldy

Dropped in for a few pints the evening of 16th Feb 23 and it was the best atmosphere around, the heating was on and it was cosy, the barmaid was very professional and knew exactly when I needed a re fill of Guinness, which is ideal. I intend to go back tonight again. The Landlord George always says hello when he is in.

My friend and I had lunch on Saturday, we were served firstly by Janice who was really welcoming. Our main course of scampi was very tasty, although the cheesecake was really unpleasant, we both left it uneaten, I was charged for it, which really surprised me. The room was quite cold, although I was impressed by the friendly staff.

The 4 of us had a lovely meal today it was tasty well presented and great service from George and the rest of the staff. Very friendly and a bit of good banter made us feel welcome. We will definately return...if you like a good atmosphere and good food go on fill your boots you will be made very welcome.

It is what it is a local friendly pub with hearty food. Steak pie,fish and chips excellent for the price and great service. I have been a few times and definitely go back. Great place to go for a chilled munch at any time.

We were here yesterday for a bar lunch with our daughter and son-in-law, and the dog. The food and the service was as good as it gets. Good home-cooked pub grub. This morning I got a phone call from The Path Tavern to say they had found the dog's name tag. they were very helpful, and asked if I could text our address so they would get the name tag in the post. The place is very friendly, and we would use it again when we are in Kirkcaldy visiting our daughter and son-in-law. They have used it a few times and recommended it to us. We will be back, a very good pub. OH I think our next visit will be to the sister venue "duchess of Kirkcaldy" next Friday. A Bowie tribute night, which the woman behind the bar thoroughly recommended. (Bed and breakfast from our daughter that night !!!!!!!)

Nice pub and great home cooked style food

We have been having lunch here almost every week for a few months, but lately the standard of food, although still quite good, has dropped and the changes to the menu not to every ones taste. Unfortunately it will be a while before we are back again.

Great little pub! Quite busy on a Friday lunch time and was lucky to get a table in the bar, quick beer service, and the food arrived almost as quickly. Great value fish and chips! I'll be back.

Pub food very good, friendly lovely efficient staff and very welcoming

What a lovely place! The couple behind the bar (I assume they are the owners) were incredibly nice, I instantly felt like a regular customer, even though I've never been there before. Classic cozy British pub interior, typical pub food, fresh and tasty. They got a lunch offer and a nice range of appetizers, mains and desserts, everything reasonably priced. If I'm ever visiting Kirkcaldy again, I'll definitely go back there

Really nice bar lunch, all the food that came to the table was excellent, nice big portions as well. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. One of the oldest pubs in Kirkcaldy.

I went for lunch at the Path tavern with my dad today! The staff were pleasant. We had no booking, was able to squeeze us in. The food was so lovely! We will be back.

We were taken here for lunch by a friend who lives locally. Warmly welcomed on arrival and good covid measures in place, including track and trace details. Excellent menu choices and drinks and good served quickly. Presented very well too. All our courses were delicious. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and excellent value for money. Staff very friendly. We had 3 courses & everything was cooked to perfection. Very tasty & such a treat. I’d actually give the tavern a 4 1/2 if I could. The only reason I can’t give a 5/5 is because my husband likes more choice; the menu is minimal. Also my seat was a little uncomfy but being really picky. Def will be back & highly recommend.

Brilliant food and friendly stafff

We booked for a table of 4 for lunch .The food was pretty basic fare. The menu had dishes that are common basics in pubs .The food we had was presented well enough and the only complaint would be that the Haddock in breadcrumbs was overcooked .Batter would have been a better choice Overall everything was ok apart from the restaurant being quite cold To be fair the owner come out and turned up the heating after a couple of requests.We will return if in the area.

Just back from a great lunch at the Path Tavern. A family run establishment who ‘all’ work hard as a team!. That’s a rarity these days. A substantial choice on the Lunchtime menu, with daily specials and sweets listed on the blackboard. (I opted for the three course O.A.P menu, 3 courses for under Tenner.....a no brainer!) Quality of fare dished out was faultless, even for the younger members in our group. There is a good selection of drinks behind the bar. Menu not shown on website, but there is a menu with a good choice for all tastes. If you are going on a Saturday make sure you book a table. We’ll be back soon no doubt of that!.

We go here quite often, meals are value for money but specials board is mainly the same every day
