Great food. Meal marred by waiter adding his own 10% gratuity! Down right rude.

Had a great time here last week. I love Lasagne and have had it literally all over the world, especially in Italy. The lasagne I had here is the best I've ever had. Thanks and well done guys

Had a fantastic dinner at The Palmichael recently and will definitely making another visit. So glad to have found somewhere nearby that does great food and the service was fabulous too.

We visited for a prebooked meal for a party of 9, the service was good but we did have to prompt to order side dishes but the staff were very good and efficient. The food was excellent, I have had many steaks but the fillet I had was melt in the mouth. Portions were very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Not the cheapest meal but worth every penny for a special occasion. The place was very busy and rightly so, we will go again.

Love this place. Its the only restaurant where my son will eat all three courses happily which doesn't happen anywhere else! Lovely food, Lovely atmosphere Will be back this weekend!

Lovely quality food well presented

The vegan/vegetarian menu offers a good choice of vegan friendly meals that are absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is immaculate. We had a bit of a wobbly table, but our waitress was absolutely lovely and answered any questions we had with a here to help attitude. The prosecco is vegan friendly, too, which is a bonus. A lovely meal out at a gorgeous restaurant. We'll definitely be going back.

The menu was a showcase of Italian culinary mastery. The starters, especially the scallops, were a gastronomic delight, each bite bursting with flavor. The pan-roasted duck with its rich red wine jus, accompanied by roast potatoes and broccolini in butter with a hint of chilli, was cooked to perfection. My wife's homemade lasagne was a testament to authentic Italian cooking - each layer oozing with flavor. For dessert, the crème brûlée and lemon tart, paired with lemoncello, were the perfect end to our culinary journey. It's rare to find such a gem offering such exquisite food and friendly service right here in Burton Latimer. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of Italy in the heart of the town.

My wife and I artived with out booking but they have a table aviable for us The man in charge show us tho the table explained the spetials and was very friendly and helpfull. They toom our order and we din't wate log before the food was at the table. Must say the tiramisu is the "best" I have ever tested. Will recomend to our friends by the way it was our first time here never disapointed 5 out of 5 🙂

Four of us had lunch on Saturday 23rd Sept 23. This was our third visit this year. The food is absolutely fantastic and great value compared with local establishments. All of us loved our meals. The staff are very friendly and attentive (but not overly so). The décor is classy with plenty of space between tables. We will all be going again and I highly recommend you try it. Well done to all of the team and a big thanks from us.

Excellent quality food with good service. Only downside was the draught caused by the air conditioner and the background noise, but then again it was a Friday evening so understandable. Update on 16.09.23. Following a refurbishment, the background noise has been significantly improved to the point where it's now possible to have a decent conversation without having to shout! Well done Palmichael! Food and service are unchanged - both excellent! We had (another) lovely meal.

We were seated outside as we had hoped. Service was great We had Skcollops with blackpudding for starters delicious I had Lobster ravioli and my partner had Seafood platter with garlic bread also delicious Very friendly atmosphere staff are very welcome and pleasant Definitely recommend

This is a really good restaurant which has maintained its standards for years and offers reliable gluten free options for coeliac sufferers. Service etc is immaculate, though the place, recently refurbished does lack a little character/atmosphere. Pricey too.

Beautiful place with a cosy atmosphere Looking at everyone's food the Italian food looked wonderful and homemade. Unfortunately I had steak m/rare which was quite tough,but the pannacotta made up for it.i would recommend it .

Held a post wedding dinner here! Impeccable food. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the starters and mains! Maria was amazing and went above and beyond to make the special day so memorable for us! She kindly arranged every detail from start to finish. Welcome drinks were kindly made to our wishes. Amazing atmosphere, food, service and drinks! I would certainly recommend this restaurant. It doesn’t look much from the outside but don’t let that put you off. It’s fantastic!! Beautifully furnished and the food was sensational. We had the fish platter and lobster ravioli, and it was served beautifully. Having been lucky enough to eat at some top fish restaurants, this was up there with the best. The service was attentive and the young waiters and waitresses were polite, and the uniforms were smart but not old fashioned. They also knew the menu and worked well as a team. I was impressed it was fully booked for a Wednesday night and being able to book via Google was so simple. This place is relaxed, but has a nice ambiance with decent clientele making it a sophisticated atmosphere. Thank you for making my sons birthday memorable. The facts: for 3 to eat starter and main course with 2 soft drinks and one beer : £120 Parking: ok, mainly road or in the church which is tight and not for a nervous driver. Outside has no bearing on the interior so don’t be put off. Worth paying for as it’s a great food experience.

Our party had such a wonderful time. The food was of the most excellent quality and served looking as good as it tastes. Staff were very friendly and brilliant. We were 8 adults and all plates were cleared.

We all had a lovely time and many different items off the menu. It's very pleasing to say that I have never seen so many plates completely cleared. The food was excellent whatever you order. Service and atmosphere all matched the superb quality of the food.

Went for a friend's birthday. Great food and service.

Food was tasty when we finally got it. We went in at 5pm as we have a young child. We were the only table there but service was slow and order was wrong we waited 45 mins and only 2 of 4 dishes were right. We then waited anther 20 mins for food we had to eat fast as our child was getting tired. In the background could hear staff talking badly of previous customers and how they complain. Not very professional in my opinion. The food is nice but service was a let down. Shame!

first time visit. was a great night was a bit loud due to it being full. could do with some "special tastefull" decorations to help baffle the chatter.

Nice place , good food , may need to consider the seating plan slightly as it's not a very relaxing when you have staff constantly walking behind your back into a staff area.

Only Italian in area so book in advance to guarantee seating. Great food, attentive staff lovely cocktails. They even do a little plate with happy birthday or congratulations etc and some shortbread if you are celebrating anything special.

We went to celebrate our 44th anniversary and as always everything was superb The duck dish was cooked to perfection as was my wife's carbonate. Thank you to all of the staff as their service was excellent

Excellent, the food is just superb from the starter to the main and desserts. Even the waiting time in between was nice the portion sizes were spot on, food was served piping hot on hot plates (detest food served on cold plates) the service and the staff was impeccable. The quality and taste of the food was fantastic Fine Italian food it's very popular and recommended Booking

This is some of the best Italian cuisine in the area. Varied menu,not had a bad dish or experience here to date. Wine list is brilliant and the staff are really pleasant.

Had a good meal there on Monday 17 January staff were friendly and service quick, mind you there were only 4 people in the restaurant including us. Should have checked my bill thoroughly as noticed later we had been charged £7 for a glass of wine which we didn't order. I have emailed but no response which is a little disappointing. Update, have since been contacted and refund will be given which given that I hadn't checked my bill on the day is great customer service.

We've been going here since 1980, and seen many changes. The new decor is lovely, although I still miss the hanging fish nets 😂. The food was delicious, my only complaint was the sautéed potatoes which let the meal down, they were not up to the usual standard, oversized, undercooked and bland compared to how they used to be.

Meal was lovely as normal. If you are seated at the table by the front door you will find it is cold as the door is opened and closed. We asked to be moved and so did the people seated at the table after us.

Food was good, but other places serve the same for half the price Service was excellent, but the atmosphere was very disappointing. Could not hear what my date was saying, it was so noisy. Left early and had dessert elsewhere. Not what I expected for the price. Won't be going back

Went for a birthday meal and they made a special effort with signing the plate. Busy place but lovely food. Just felt a bit rushed at the end to pay our bill and get out even though it wasn't late

Truly superb food. I had scallops to start on the special and lamb main. Both were just superb. A brilliant restaurant that has moved with the time over many years of me being their customer. Always busy and we last went on a Thursday. Looking forward to dining there again.

Fantastic Italian restaurant. We ate outside as we felt we weren't properly dressed as the restaurant has high standards. The waitressing staff were very highly trained even serving with white gloves on. We chose the seafood platter and Calamari anti pasta starters which were lovely. 10/10 Staff, food location and price.

Fit to bursting Was the way my partner described herself after the meal . Beautiful restaurant,great staff, very attentive Food was really delicious, great atmosphere and very busy , the sign of a good place to eat. Really enjoy the whole experience and would definitely go again.

Was absolutely top class couldn’t ask for better

If you want a great restaurant that serves good food this is the place for you. However if you are a couple and want a quiet place to eat and want to be able to hear each other talk then this won't suit. Acoustics were terrible and voices were very loud which made the atmosphere feel manic.

Authentic Italian food that is beautifully cooked and tastes wonderful. A little pricey but worth it for the quality of the food and service provided by the staff. In the last year the restaurant interior has been completely revamped to give it a fresh, modern contemporary feel. Food and service are still excellent.

10/10 Will be back again. Lovely local italiano cusine. First course, Mussels in a delicious garlic white wine sauce (classic). Second course, seafood linguine with hints of chilli. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Even my daughter loved her pasta carbonara, I tried some and it had a lovely taste. Love it, #supportlocal everyone. There's too many chains putting out mediocre food and getting away with it.

Amazing service and food which couldn't be faulted. First time we have visited but won't be the last as one of the best meals we had in a long time. Great experience if you are looking for somewhere to eat, or even grab a coffee and cake.

This restaurant was so much better than I ever expected. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced too. The service was a little slow - we had to ask for water multiple times (as the first waiter walked off and forgot) plus trying to get the bill was awkward -we were left waiting whilst the staff stood talking behind the bar area after we had been finished for quite some time. Quicker service would have been appreciated. The menu also stated things such as "GFOA" and "VOA" but there was no legend on the menu to explain what these meant. Once we asked, it was explained, but we would prefer a simple legend at the bottom of the menu. This would also benefit those who are hard of hearing and/or speech impaired. Limited Vegan options on the menu also.

A lovely dining experience in an elegant Italian restaurant. Try antipasti platter, calamari and fettuccine carbonara. Can finish with tiramisu and coffee :).
