Poor service, had to keep finding someone that would serve us each time, no heat lamps, girls kept hiding in their vape shed in garden, no table service, let Mothers Day down

Great service and amazing food . Sunday roast THE BEST

Great pub and food. The service is great too. It has a huge undercover beer garden and a play area for kids.

I had my birthday celebration at the Palmers Arms, and I highly recommend this pub/restaurant. The staff was super nice and accommodating, and the food was fantastic. I got a private spot near the bar, making my party extra special. The food portions were huge, and everything was fresh and delicious. They even had a play area outside for kids, and dogs were welcome inside the pub too. Thanks a lot to Megan and the team - you made my birthday unforgettable!

Nice place, the food & service was great but the drinks are a bit pricey

Had dinner my steak and ale pie with veg was perfect, however my partners gammon with eggs and potatoes was a bit bland , could have done with small salad and peas as standard, she didn't realise you have to order these separately starters were spot on as was my dessert

Brilliant meal tonight, the pub was full and have a wonderful atmosphere. We were seated very quickly and it was warm and comfortable. We were attended to really, really well. The staff were ultra efficient and “on the ball”. Extremely helpful and attentive. We order a main each and a dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection (1 rib eye steak and 1 sea bass was ordered). Ordered an extra portion of vegetables and some gravy, everything was delicious. Photos included in this review. For dessert we ordered 1 apple & raisin crumble & 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding which was delicious. (Sorry I forgot to take a photo) Definitely recommend this pub to anyone & we’ll definitely return really soon. Service was fast and really efficient. Well done to all 👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great place. We went here for an impromptu dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We had the fish and chips which were awesome, but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. We'll be visiting again.

Friendly with decently kept beer and a good garden if the weather's fine. (Patio with canopy and heaters if it's not. ) Didn't eat here but the food looked good and the diners seemed happy with it. (Update Sep22) Now I have eaten here and can see why the diners were happy. Great food too.

Went to The Palmer Arms today, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a simple Sausage and Onion Ciabetta sandwich and it was fantastic. Don't know how they made a simple sandwich taste so good.

Staff excellent food very good but portions small

We had a table booked for 12.30pm and when we were seated we were told that they would need the table back by 3pm, which I don't have a problem with but the way we were told felt like even though we still had 2hrs 30, we needed to hurry up. The young girl who brought us our drinks and the lady who served our food were both very nice and friendly. The food was nice. No complaints there at all. After finishing our meals we were asked if we would like dessert and after looking at the menus we decided not to but we were still drinking. The waitress came over a few minutes later and asked if we wanted more drinks and when we said no she told us she would bring the bill! It was still only about 1.30pm (the food had come out very quickly after we ordered) It gave the impression of 'pay and get out'. We had gone to meet up with family that we hadn't seen for a long time and we probably would have ordered more drinks and stayed a bit longer but instead we felt our time was up and so we left. Other members of staff we were very kind and friendly but unfortunately our waitress wasn't that way.

Just had a lovely meal, with our two whippets and our son. I had the roast chicken dinner it was most delicious. My son had the fish and chips...the Hake was most and tasty. Mushy peas so good. Hubby had the Pie and mash, very very tasty. Starters were excellent. Well done to The Palmers Arms Team. Chef's and waiting staff great. Our dogs, enjoyed being in a warm cost restaurant. Oh and the latte is just right. 🙏 We will be back soon

Went to this lovely pub/restaurant this evening for my Dads Birthday and we had a wonderful time! It was just myself, my Dad and my brother we booked for 7pm and were seated quickly. We were served and looked after by the very friendly and attentive Ava. We ordered the pie of the day which was chicken and ham , the beer battered fish and the roasted duck.The food came out promptly and hot. Each dish looked amazing and tasted even better. We also opted for puddings, how could we not! We had the lemon tart, Eton mess and sticky toffee pudding with custard instead of ice cream. They were all mouth watering and we were extremely happy. After our meal we stayed in the bar area and we enjoyed the comfy furniture and atmosphere along with few drinks . Would very highly recommend this place for a lovely treat out, we will definitely be back soon.

The Pinnaple is far a better pub with the Staff being more friendly .looking after the Guests for drinks etc. Private birthday party Not impressed PB

dishes with a large amount of food at a good price and a polite, attentive and very close service, we loved eating here, the Pie was very good, I had never eaten a beef as soft and as well cooked as today.

Friendly helpful staff. Nice varied menu at fair prices. Not local to me but I'd definitely detour to it if passing close by.

Cajun chicken lovely but couldn't cut it because of blunt knife. Struggled with gammon in same way as I have a weakness in my hands. Original waiting staff did not seem friendly. She didn't want to smile much.

Perfect for a stop if you're out doing the 'Boveney Lock – St Mary Magdalene's Church loop from Windsor Central' walk. Chicken burger was well-seasoned, but perhaps a tad bit dry. All my friends had the Sunday roast, which seemed to go down well, so guessing it was good. The Pub Manager was very friendly and checked on us to ensure everything was ok. There's ample room but booking is advisable. Overall a lovely pub.

Lovely Sunday Lunch. A lot of our local pubs were fully booked for Fathers Day but this pub was the only one that booked us in last min, very flexible even though they to were super busy! Great service, really fast and food was delicious. Great prices also! Will defo be coming back!

Amazing food, great staff, great location..

A group of 8 of us had lunch at the Palmer's Arms today and everybody enjoyed the food, the service and the ambience. The staff were brilliant and made us very welcome. I could thoroughly recommend including a pint of Palmers Arms beer. Thank you to all of the staff!

Visited for the 1st time yesterday. Lovely place, good place for the kids with a play area, however could improve on a few things. One of our drinks was missing and we had to ask 3 different staff members to get if. Then one of the kids meals was missing too. At the end we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, to which we said yes and instead we got the bill, so we went for dessert somewhere else. Staff are polite but could be a bit more friendly, but I get it, it was very busy. On one occasion, my husband took our toddler to the rest room, and when asking for the key the staff member looked at him, turned her back and left. Food is OK, not amazing. A little disappointed with the quality of the pork on the Sunday roast, however the Yorkshire pudding was amazing.

Such a busy place. As soon as a table became empty it was promptly filled. The staff were definitely busy but all had a smile on their faces and the service was great. The food was tasty and well presented.

First time at Palmers Arms and we were disappointed. I am sorry to say. Very friendly staff but I called the day before and booked a table for 3pm for 2 people for Sunday lunch. When we were sat down, we were told they needed the table back at 4pm. So we felt very rushed. Having 3 courses, maybe in an hour? We just had the The Sunday roast which was fine but not amazing. It was also very noisy, which I get that its a busy Sunday. However, when the dessert menu was brought over, we where then told they needed the table back at 4pm again, which was in 15 minutes time and could move to the bar area. We decided to just get the bill and have dessert elsewhere. We went to the Boatman, where we got a table no problem without booking in advance, a very nice dessert and felt very welcome. We just felt very rushed. We wanted to take our time and not be moved around. If we knew at the time of booking that we could only have the table for that amount of time, we would have made other plans. Our experience left us with a feeling of not going back. I don't like leaving reviews like this. Its not to complain for the sake of it but more just for feedback is all to help.

Myself and my husband went there this evening and were very disappointed. We were turned away saying that the tables are all fully booked however there did appear to be tables free without reserved signs. I asked when tables would likely be free as we were willing to wait and the young man said there will be no tables all night. I felt very uncomfortable and felt like we we're being pushed out.

Stopped in here with the dogs after a very long walk though the common, felt very welcome with the dogs and had a nice lunch from the sandwich menu

We all had an amazing meal here. Both hubby and son said they had the best pies ever. I had the gluten free burger (best burger ever) and our daughter in law had the vegan option. She was very pleased. Would definitely visit again when we come to stay with our Son and hopefully very soon.,

Had a fabulous meal with the family last night! Such great quality food with brilliant gluten free choices for the mum in law. Could do with more vegan options but the tart was yummy!

Portions were reminiscent of wartime rationings. The food was tasty enough, but way over priced for the portion size. Service was a little slow. Overall not very impressed and won't be returning.

Went here last night for a Christmas meal. The food was mediocre. The carrots were hard the Brussels sprouts tasted like they were frozen. No parsnips. I had a chip on my plate. Not somewhere I would recommend. The staff were very good though. Other complaint is the ladies toilets are at the entrance and freezing cold and why isn’t there any hot water to wash your hands in this freezing cold weather.

A very friendly young man called Gareth served us he was exceptionally smiley and helpful and the food was good.

What a lovely place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu is well balanced as is the beer selection. Food didn't take long to arrive once ordered and it did not disappoint. The food was stunning. Must say thank you to our waitress Emma who really looked after our table of 10. We will visit The Palmer Arms again. Thank you all.

Good food, friendly service. Food was very slow out of the kitchen.

Very poor vegetarian options (just 1 option on the entire menu). The waiter we had was very good and asked the kitchen to prepare a vegetarian option for me, however this was a pretty poor vegan burger. The chicken avocado burger that was also ordered had such a tiny amount of avocado on it and was very dry. Food was dumped in front of us by a different waitress and we had to go back inside to ask for sauces which we were told would be brought to our table, but didnt arrive. After 3 times of asking, these eventually arrived at our table towards the end of our meal. Overall, poor vegetarian/ vegan choices and poor food quality

Abbot ale excellent. Good prices. Food available from 1200, quality English menu. Chicken salad was juicy and filling. Family was made welcome, grandkids loved climbing house/slide and chicks in hut.

We have been several times pto the Palmers and have always enjoyed it, but tonight we were really disappointed. Food was mediocre but most of the staff were really unprofessional , treated it like a school playground. There were a couple of people were really nice. But the rest behaved like school children. You couldn't avoid the way they were behaving. We certainly won't be back anytime soon

Not expensive. Tribute Cornish Ale on draft. Reasonable selection of wines. Large premises with plenty of seating inside and in the rear garden. Wouldn't say it was fully accessible for a wheelchair users during busy periods. Perhaps call ahead. Menu looks varied at first glance but you need to chase the vegetarian and vegan options. You can always ask for something simple to be prepared. My friend has an allergy card. The kitchen adapted a salmon dish to accommodate that which she declared was lovely just rather large ! Our other friend finished it off, no problems with portions here Unfortunately the mixed green salad with my vegan burger was a little sparse and unimaginative.l think most gastro pubs should state chips can be exchanged for extra garnish/salad. Ice cream options very good. Eton mess looked interesting. Apparently there are more teas available than the printed selection. There was no Earl Grey available on that night and decaffeinated coffee wasn't listed. You will have to ask. As for general ambience. Indoors: Comfortable seating, wide tables and good lighting. Outside : There are plans to move the music system farther back in the garden making it easier to sustain conversations. That will happen fairly soon so for the time being just sit at a distance from the speakers. Staff very pleasant and helpful throughout the venue.

I would’ve given this pub a 5 star review, the only complaint I have which I hope can be fixed is the quality of steak, I had ordered the fillet steak (medium) and unfortunately it was a chewy maybe due to the quality of steak or the method of cooking, all in all the service was good along with the food.

Had a lovely Sunday Roast and long awaited reunion here today. Great service and delicious food.

Nice pub, good atmosphere and great food. Main meals range in price from £10 to £25. We went on a Friday evening in April. The venue was fairly busy, but the staff were attentive and helpful. The wait times for service and delivery were reasonable and the food presentation was excellent. We paid £80 for a three-course meal for two including drinks. I'd recommend The Palmer Arms for adult/family get-togethers.

Good food and good service. Close to the Olympic rowing lakes which you can visit. Easy access to M4, M25 and M40

Stopped off here for lunch what was nice was they did bar snacks as well well as main menu. So have a lovely Fish finger sarnie, plenty of fish fingers in it 😋 Will definitely go back .

Really good food and a lovely setting. Went with a large group of 20 to celebrate a birthday, staff were very accommodating with what must've been a difficult group to cater for. Very good experience all round

Very crowded, we ate in the garden which was packed. The food was ok but not exceptional, and not cheap. The staff were great and very organised in view of how busy they were.
