Didn't stay there just had a few drinks with a friend beers good service good lots of people eating out must try the food there

Good - - food, choice of spirits and beer. Great outside seating area with views of Canvey Lake(very nice on a Sunny day)

Lovely bit of lunch, spontaneous visit. Lovely friendly service, variety menu for all 3 to 40 years old.

Can't enjoy your self or play music do not waste your money waste not worth 78 pounds won't come again

This is the second time we have stayed here and I have to say rooms are lovely staff are very nice and helpful. Evening meal was fantastic. But the breakfast is a bit of a joke..... they charged £30 for 2x full English and a kids breakfast. The kids breakfast consisted of the variety box of cereal and 2x rounds of toast which came to total of £6......... do not pay for breakfast in the hotel walk 50-100yds down the road and get the same for half price for all the breakfasts. The pic shows the full English minus egg and my other half gave me her bacon

Christmas party meal was worse than old school dinner... Soup was beige with bits of carrot in it. Two slices of turkey on two slices of ham with sprouts, a spoonful of red cabbage, three spuds, a miniature sausage, stuff ball and Yorkshire. Not a carrot, parsnip or cauliflower in sight. The chocolate fudge was all right. OK, there was a mini mince pie and a coffee after. And the disco was OK. But really, the food was just awful.

We had our mums wake here on 19th Nov 2021 and paid £500 for a buffet (30x15.95 per head) the room was free . we were given a plate of sausage rolls 2 plates of chicken drumsticks a bowl of crisps with dips 2 plates of sandwiches (stale) and 2 plates of quiche (see below pictures only a tiny bit was eaten as inedible and bland) I did on the day put in complaint then sent over 6 emails numerous tel calls and I even drove from Bedfordshire and actually spoke to a manager who again said he would call me back the next day with an outcome and to this day hasn't! Not one person will call or email me back ! awful treatment of what was a said occasion anyway but to be charged £500 for this buffet is just awful ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE They will take your money but when u complain they will never reply to you !!!

As a large family group of around 30 guests, I was absolutely in awe of how well the kitchen and staff managed to get everything perfect! Often we go out as a group and at least one meal is incorrect. 3x now Oysterfleet have got it dead on. Will be returning! Staff are lovely which helps as well

Food is average, not terrible, but nothing to write home about either, but the staff's poor attitude is something else. Clearly nobody is happy in their job, every question, even when making conversation, is met with some kind of rolled-eye expression. There's a lot of clock watching going on, with diners being continually pressed to hurry and order or finish eating before the next sitting arrives. Whilst queuing for the buffet I, along with a bunch of other diners, were asked by one waitress to move because 'you're all standing in the way'. Er, hello, we're not in your way, you've not laid your restaurant out correctly. Been here a few times and had pretty much the same experience, some politeness would go a long way.

This is my third visit to The Oysterfleet Bar and Restaurant. I would say the service is good. Its a good place to go to with family of all ages. I had a roast dinner, beef and turkey. The beef was very nice but difficult to cut so I'd suggest they serve better knifes for the table. The vegetables was cooked well and I especially enjoyed the cauliflower cheese. You get what you pay for at this place. Its very reasonably priced and the food is good but not amazing. You know if a place is busy that's its good. It always been busy when I have visited. Overall a lovely place to go to and the people working there are friendly.

we had a pleasant evening . They had a vegan menu which was great . The veggie wellington was very nice . service was good although there was a difference in the service between the two waitresses. One was very happy to assist the other was just clearly in a hurry . we stayed in the hotel the rooms were clean but the bed was so uncomfortable and the size of the tv wow back to the 70’s

Having lived on the island for around 20 years never been here before. Easy to book the table. Friendly and helpful staff and the menus was varied and having sampled the food this was a good find right on my doorstep. Parking round back and lovely setting for a meal with friends or families.

Setting and table were prepared beautifully, food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Lorraine and Leanne were absolutely amazing 😉 had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

Very quiet on a Tuesday lunchtime, but not a problem. Very pleasant surroundings and we were well received and looked after. Food was very good and enjoyed by all present. Overall good value for money and would be happy to go again.

The food was first class. Cooked to perfection and delivered to the table hot. Service was 100%. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. I will be returning very soon.

We arrived at the lighthouse restaurant to be told they were fully booked and had no space for us . Even though we had booked a table. The manager was very rude to us and made us wait 10 minutes before returning and saying that she had found the booking but it was a 5 course meal and looking us up and down . As if to say we couldn’t afford it 😡 needless to say we left and will never ever book a table here again . And will definitely never recommend it to anyone . Avoid at all costs . Very rude manager 😤😡

Have been dinning with you for a few years now and I would have given it more stars the only problem is the menu needs changing it’s been the same for too long. Other than that it’s always good

Our lunchtime visit was very good, with really nice food and an attentive waitress. Service was also timed nicely, with a comfortable break between courses. A nice atmosphere and a lovely view over the lake. Recommended.

We had an absolutely fab meal last Friday. We took friends and we weren’t disappointed. All of us enjoyed our meals, the food was very good and the waitresses were friendly and efficient. It did have a wedding party on a long table but actually the noise level was ok, and it emptied out fairly early so we had the restaurant to ourselves and no one rushed us out. Highly recommend this place, it’s a little gem 😊

we were a party of 8 and had the carvery, the meats were very well cooked and plenty of it and good choice, the veg were all fresh and again a good choice, overall it was an excellent meal at a good price with good service

I seem to ho here weekly for food and have never had a bad meal. The food is quality and very reasonable priced. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. In the summer there is a great outside space on a lake with fish and birds. Highly recommend this place.

Had cold buffet for mourners after funeral of my brother. Were seated in conservatory with pleasant view and in quiet area, but very disappointed in the buffet, I ordered extra in case we had any other mourners came, but they didnt, so should have been plenty for those who came, but there wasnt. Not value for money the amount to choose from was very limited and small. Would not recommended this restaurant.

Food as always was beautiful! Plenty of choice from the set menu or extra options if required. Was a particularly quiet evening which suited our small party even better.

This venue was very busy today, so had a bit of a problem parking, which is not the norm. Friendly restaurant, with white tables cloths, gives it an appearance of good cuisine. This does turn out to be the case, we were a party of three with a hunger for some good food. I picked the calves liver and pancetta, which was served with creamy mashed potatoes, one other of our party chose the same, we had a side order of steamed vegetables to accompany the dish. The liver was slightly pink as it should be, very tender and very tasty, we cleared the plates. Our other companion picked the sirloin steak with prawns(king prawns I believe) served up with some amazing chips, of which I had to sample. For dessert we all agreed on the tiramisu, this also was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. A great meal all round.

Disappointed only set meal on offer. Died ask about a la carte but told not available. Given only 3 tables being used service was pretty poor , had to ask twice on couple of occasions for coffee & dessert menu.

The service was excellent. The menu was realistic and provided for all tastes. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone it has to be good as I keep going back The staff were friendly and very attentive

Quite quiet when we went..food excellent, music was a little loud, turned down when requested so we could talk. Only 2 tables occupied. Great service. They asked us to have coffee on bar, good job we said no it was ok going as they were closing bar as well as restaurant...10pm & had to exit rear door as all close up...well it was bank holiday Monday!

We stay here once each year visiting friends. Rooms good value for money and bar prices good. Had food several times and also pretty good served hot and decent portions. The only issue as we find common amongst younger staff these days (not being ageist) is that sometimes glasses clutter tables when staff have nothing to do and several times had to wait to be served when bar empty when 2/3 staff chatting or on their mobiles. One member of staff was busily chewing something whilst serving drinks!! Otherwise love the place and will stay again

We ordered three steak and kidney pie and one chicken tikka curry .The chicken tikka 7.95 was ok.the steak pie £8.95 was disgusting.I only ate the new potatoes and puff pastry .The pie was bland and meat chewy tasted bland .None of us ate the pie and we told the waitress the food was horrible and she offered no discount and just took the plates away.We would never eat here again.Ok for a few beers but eat elseswhere

Friendly staff, good beer, dog friendly in large outside area, large parking area, wide selection of food, Hotel area as well as restaurants and Pub, large private function room available upstairs.

Great food, great service waitresses was very helpfull and we will be going back again soon.

Lovely venue overlooking the lake. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was well presented, delicious and at a reasonable price. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

With everyone worried about eating too much, isn’t it about time such restaurants allowed customers to order smaller portions, I asked for 1/2 the usual amount of chips, as they do give too many, was told it couldn’t be done, so just left half, which went in the bin, so wasteful...

Great selection of meals prepared beautifully. Service is amazingly quick and efficient. Great for families and gatherings.

This is a hotel restaurant, next to a lake and although it is basic it is very nice, it can accommodate small or large numbers of diners. The food was good and a very reasonable price. Waitresses were attentive, and wine cheaper than most restaurants. There is parking on site .

Food very good, pleasant outlook over the creek, staff helpful, good value meal.

Can’t rate the Carvery roast highly enough. The meat is always cooked to perfection and the veg is amazing especially the parsnips glazed in honey!!!

We found the restaurant very clean and the service very good and friendly.

Lovely hotel/bar/restaurant just off the town centre, good parking, lovely setting, and the food was great, with very good staff, and at a very competitive price range. We will be visiting regularly.

Have visited the Oysterfleet several times for Sunday roast carvery. Excellent food and service, better than Toby Carvery. Never fails to disappoint!

This was our first meal in the restaurant although we have eaten in the bar before. Everything we had was well served,hot and delicious!

Took my fiance here on valentines - nice venue, liked the styling. Service was great, food was pretty good, surprised it wasn't fully booked though!

Had an excellent carvery last Sunday, the price was very good and the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the serving staff could be a bit more friendly.

Had a business lunch in the Lighthouse restaurant and a bar snack in the evening. Both very good. Then stayed the night. Tom comfortable.

Friendly staff, excellent value as they always have a set menu option at a fixed price. The food is cooked well & there is plenty of choice, as I am allergic to chillies it was nice to see so many foods that I can eat on the menu. (Many places have too many spicy options) We visited as a group of 4 friends for a quiet night out & it was lovely, the music wasn't too loud the service was attentive and we had a very enjoyable evening for a good price.

Very nice food, pleasantly served and reasonably priced. A very good choice as well. Ample portions, and very clean and the staff are very friendly .

We opted for a full English at the Oysterfleet and it was spot on. Tasty sausages and bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato, hash brown and beans. Food served hot the way I like it and service was friendly and helpful. You could help yourself to any of the usual stuff like cereal, fruit, juice, toast coffee and tea. Excellent value and quality food cooked well.

Amazing elegant yet modern decor, delightful views, friendly keen and helpful staff, great varied menu choices, healthy portion sizes and plenty additions to build your perfect meal, impressive setting for any occasion!

Stayed for a long weekend and ate at the hotel lunchtime and evening. The choice was very good , I had a rump steak which was so tender and full of flavour. The vegetables were fresh and big chips are my favourite. Plenty of tables and quick service. Plenty of staff behind the bar so no waiting. The place was full all day and I can see why. A very happy atmosphere .

The week day set menu is excellent value, 3 courses for £16.95, it made for a very reasonably priced night out with friends. The restaurant was clean & airy & not too busy. We were served promptly & the staff were pleasant. We all had 3 courses which were tasty & the portions were good & jugs of iced water are provided on request. Overall it was a nice evening & we were able to have a good conversation as it wasn't noisy, I would visit again.

Very friendly staff, excellent service. Unhurried atmosphere. Wish we'd had a table outside, next time we will for there will definitely be a next time.

We came here today for a late lunch/early dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. The menu is good and the food arrived 11 minutes after we had ordered it. The dishes were presented well and were piping hot. We will definitely be returning.

Have eaten here before in the restaurant and the bar and it's always been nice !

Our second visit and just as good. Beautiful clean restaurant and toilets. Staff are vdry friendly and helpful, food excellent with good deals. We will be back.

The food was excellent, service was very good, was shown to our table quite quickly, waitress was attentive, would definitely recommend, my only gripe was the hand dryer in the toilets, no power to dry your hands.

Excellent meal and great service nice views over the lake made our meal very relaxing and will be returning soon !!!

We were a party of 5 celebrating a 76th birthday with an evening meal. The acoustics are quite loud and echoey so hearing each other talk around the table is quite difficult, it didn't help that there was a large party with screaming children also dining on the evening we went. The food was nice, staff were friendly and the general service was fine but there was no attention to detail. One of our main courses came up much later than the others so we all sat there waiting to start for about 5 minutes or so which was annoying. To be honest, I think it was just an unfortunate evening for us, this was our first visit, I had heard some nice reviews about the place and I'm sure if we had gone on another evening that didn't have a large party we would have enjoyed it more and probably stayed for dessert.

Everything at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. Staff were absolutely brilliant and food was just Devine. One problem being the fact there was a big family with younger children that were screaming and running around and it clearly stated no children at the front of the restaurant. However knowing how perfect everything else was this really wasn’t a problem at all.

As usual this venue never disappoints. Great value food, friendly atmosphere and great service 👍👍

Really nice meal on valentine service was very good food was well cooked had the sea bass with noodles as a main and it was lovely the only thing I found that could have made my visit better was the glass my gin was delivered in it would have been more enjoyed if it had been in a gin glass not a small tumbler also the choice is very limited as also is the tonic water on offer their is such a big market now on all the different gins just because we are on Canvey it doesn’t mean that we don’t like a choice

This was my second visit for Business reasons. The service and quality of food was excellent as was the ambience. It is clear that use of the venue for social occasions would be just as pleasant. Good value for money. Will recommend to friends and business acquaintances. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We were a party of 17 and ate in the Lighthouse Restaurant at the Oysterfleet. The food, when we got it, was good but the service was abysmal. The menu was very good but three hours for a lunch, not really acceptable. We wouldn't go there again!

I often come here for business lunches and just recently had a meal for a 50th Birthday party. The staff are always very attentive. Place is always spotless and the food is consistent, never a bad meal. My only comment would be to ask to change the menu a little more often. I will continue to spend money here, you can’t go wrong.

Too many children running about unchecked. I didn't feel comfortable or relaxed but I'm a bit of a fuddy Duddy. The wine was from a pump which is bizarre and it was off. Took 3 members of staff to sort it out. Didn't eat thankfully so can't comment on food. You may like it, not my kind of atmosphere.

Booked for 3 nights to visit the family, this is a good hotel and convenient for what we needed

Table for 10 well looked after by the efficient staff as always. With an updated menu I chose lamb koftas for starter and venison medallion & dauphinoise for mains well presented on the plate and great flavours. Other diners recommended the pork belly & scallops. Skate and fillet steak were also on the specials board. Really nice night.

Decent atmosphere and good food! Came here for a Sundays food as the oven was broken at home and wasn't disappointed. Food was nice and hot and fresh and more importantly very tasty. Hopefully we will still get time to pop in to eat after we move from the Island. Thanks

We went to the Oysterfleet today and I have to say we were very disappointed. We had a 12.30 sitting so the food should have been piping hot but unfortunately it wasn't, it was barely warm. The meat was carved into the thinnest slices possible and we were given 2 slices each. The yorkshire puddings were like rubber and so greasy and the vegetables were completely tasteless.

My husband, friend and I were visiting Canvey and were looking for somewhere for a meal when we stumbled across...

Great atmosphere, good prices and good food. Family friendly too. Lovely staff who are always willing to help you. Great outdoor space for sunny days

Was all very nice we all enjoyed the meal. There were only 3 tables booked o restaurant was virtually empty.

Evening was very pleasant the only strange thing we weren’t offeed the wine list which I found strange also I asked for elderflower tonic to go with my pink gin and you don’t supply this I found 5hat a bit odd as the gin market is growing with different flavours and mixers
