I font usually leave negative reviews but the meal i pre ordered for Christmas eve was shockingThe hot and sour soup was congealed no veg very little ingredients. The 2 chicken dishes were just pre cooked chicken with onion in sauce, chips were cold and the rice was ok. All the meal except the samosa had to go in the bin. Spoiled our Christmas eve celebrations.

Great food, went for a chippy after work enjoyed it really fresh food. My boyfriend got charged twice and the manager kindly let us get a chippy for the same price as what he was over charged the next time we went in. The lovely girls behind the counter gave us a free bottle of drink to say thank you. Ive been really busy and meaning to write a good review, lovely people and great chippy.

Just returned to the famous blue star after a long break due to the last time the was food was cold tasteless and very poor, as we were passing we thought we would give them another go. Bad decision Donna kebab meat was cold , rice in the curry and rice was gloopy. Will not return should of stuck to are guns. Shame but you like to give business a second go.

The food was absolutely awful - sloppy and tasteless. It was like any nutrients, flavour and texture was cooked out of the meal. Never again.

Poor and shocking service. Ordered food at half 4 when opened. Half 6 rang to see where food was and hadn't even been start to be cooked... "oh yours is next"

For god sake this is one bad chip shop. This is no Chris’s chippy which is number 1 by the way. Needs Gordon to sort their problems serious lack of leadership in the kitchen. In future I will be dining in other establishments to get my sausage battered.

This has to be the worst takeaway that I have ever had. The fish was brown and greasy, the chips were awful, peas and gravy terrible, chop suey roll wrapped in paper, stuck and had to try to peel soggy paper off it before eating, curry sauce was rank, we went into the takeaway and less than 5 minutes travel home, everything was cold. I can only strongly advise anyone thinking of going here to not bother, no-one speaks until they take your order, just awful, oh and no contactless payments either.

Waited over a hour the food to arrive freezing wen it came order a chicken burger few other things bun was all soggy were been sitting ther for ages chips was cold minty

Aprecio que están ocupados, pero Dios mío, más de 3 horas para una entrega. Y cuando me comunico con ellos para que me digan que se está haciendo el pedido, una hora más tarde todavía no se ha entregado, obviamente una mentira, así que cuando me confrontaron amablemente sobre la mentira descarada, me dijeron "bueno, no hay nada que pueda hacer al respecto" otra vez. Terrible servicio al cliente.

I have only used this place twice now and I can categorically state that there will never be a third! Although the food is of a reasonable quality but nothing special, there delivery service is poor! My first delivery took almost two hours to arrive. I called them on two occasions and was assured that it was on its way. My last order today has taken 1 hour 50 minutes and it still hasn't arrived yet! I've contacted the shop and the same person who spoke to me last time answered my call and told me virtually the same lie! Quite poor delivery service! I wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind waiting for hours for a delivery which should take approximately 45 and to be honest, does take about 45 minutes with other food outlets. Really disappointed in Blue Star!

Una porción especial de papas fritas de arroz frito, un cartón de salsa de curry, un pedido estándar bastante pantanoso para cualquier chippy medio decente, llegó una hora después del pedido y necesitaba ir directamente al microondas, ignorando la grasa. No vi una señal de una gamba en el arroz frito especial suficiente pollo pero muy normal y en cuanto a la porción de papas fritas fue suficiente para una persona y mucho menos para lo grande que se solicitó, así que ahorre su dinero o busque en otro lugar definitivamente no volverá.

This chippy has gone worse. Food isn’t as good as it used to be. Meals are runny and tasteless. Delivery service exceptionally slow. Staff are usually pleasant. Fliers and grills in kitchen look filthy from outside, layered with lots of greese

I ordered king prawn with broccoli, got home to find a other meat was in the dish with no king prawns. Went back to swap the dish. Add to the insult I was told that there is no king prawn in the king prawn dish.

As a Chinese I would say the food taste rather bad and they're not like typical chinese food at all. I've never seen Kung Po sauce with bamboo shoots inside! The Pancake (Chop Suey Roll) is horrible, it taste like uncooked inside with some mushy filling. Siu Mai ok. Crispy Wonton very average.

Los pedidos para la entrega tuvieron que confirmar la dirección 7 veces en el teléfono y aún así se equivocaron después de 1. 5 horas de espera volví a llamar al restaurante para averiguar el problema y el conductor de la entrega fue cortés y me di cuenta de que no era su culpa, pero la comida que apareció era terrible, puré de tomate en pollo (agridulce pollo) y un poco de pollo maltratado suelto con 5 precios de cebolla y pimienta picadas (pollo con sal y pimienta) lo único que sabía bien eran las sopas, e incluso ambas bolsas de galletas de gambas que se dieron fueron una mezcla de añadas y 1 o 2 que fueron comestibles, simplemente evite hacer pedidos desde aquí, realmente es una elección horrible, especialmente por el precio que cobran

Called in tonight (17/06/19) on the way home from work for a late evening meal. Service awful, attitude disgraceful, staff standing around chatting. Food greasy and tasteless. AVOID this place. Anywhere else cant be any worse.

Ordered a large mixed kebab and received a large chicken kebab, called to tell them the order was wrong and the lady argued with me on the phone for 10 minutes - speaking to me terrible, me and my family are regular customers but I will never go here again and will make sure none of my family do either, absolute vile customer service. SHOCKING

Ordered from here for family and friends,half my order was missing so I called the shop to be told “well it’s not on the order” so I said “well I’ve been charged for it” only to be told “it’s not like it’s the whole thing is it” and the phone put down on me. The food we did receive was cold, the curry sauce was half full, the garlic bread was a pizza base with cheese sprinkled over and chunks of garlic thrown on top and the chips were black and soggy. whole order in the bin. This used to be a great chippy, really gone down hill and we won’t order from here again. Only plus, the delivery driver was lovely

Terrible chippy, awful awful attitude. Wait for ever for over-priced undercooked, salty terrible food. Just had my latest delivery and its freezing and over an hour late. AVOID THIS DUMP.

We ordered from just eat and because their menu was unclear and badly written, they got our order wrong. When we rang to clarify the young girl at the other end of the phone was argumentative, insulting and kept saying we got it wrong. Their customer service, delivery time and staff are absolutely abismal. We will never order here again and we encourage people not to either. I would rate this place 0 if I could.

I have been coming to this chippy for over 15 years now as I live local and the last 2 times we have been here have been awful. We ordered a chicken burger and it was far too salty you couldn’t even eat it and also a small chicken kebab with lettuce and chilli sauce. The chicken was dry, the lettuce was off and the worst thing of all, the chilli sauce was just ketchup as if they has mixed the last bit of chilli as they had ran out! I would rather people just say they had ran out of chilli sauce then make something with cheap ketchup that you never asked for. Like I said used to be a lovely chippy especially for English food but it has really gone downhill.

Worst chippy ever you order food the staff are that busy talkin to each other that when you get home after work 14 hours ya food is missing total waste of time . Phoned up to complain An the woman I spoke to said it was only chips well chips I payed for like every other customer don't eat there terrible service

Seven of us had fish and chips takeaway a couple of nights ago. Massive portions! Fish very good with excellent crispy batter. Next time we will get one fish and chips between two!

Far to nice for words. The choice of meals is very good. There is plenty of staff there so you never end up waiting long to be seen too. It has not done my waist line much good !!!! But well worth a visit if you are in the area. One of the best chippies I have ever had the good fortune to live near. !!!! :0)

just across the road from where we live always busy and food we have had from here is always fresh and well cooked always a pleasant welcome from staff and management and a great variety of foods to choose from.one of the best take aways i have visited.

I went hear twice to pick up from the fish bar. Pretty decent food, fairly quick and friendly. I have seen that the reviews aren't great for this place but I can't say I had the same experience. The curry sauce is very good

Went the blue star 8/5/17. I ordered chicken fried rice, battered king prawns and chips and gravy. When I got home the prawns were off the chicken fried rice was chewy it was disgusting binned the lot only I had a 2 month old baby I would have took it back. The staff have such a bad attitude as if they can't be bothered no customer service and as I work in customer service I found that the blue star staff are absolutely nasty and have not got a clue about there menu and don't care about customers I would advise anyone wanting a chippy tea avoid this dump.

I made an order at 19.45pm on the 4/03/2017, new this chippy is busy phoned at 21.05 when it satted that the order would be ready for 20.53p phoned at 21.05pm and required about order said it is ready now and will be with us soon, 21.25pm phoned again asking were it is and attituide from staff was teribble when asked about order put phone down on me, I placed order via credit card. Phoned up a few times phone slamed down on me all time, and inform manager would speak to me monday when the manager was the tonight, phone slammed down on me again, it is a shame as chipp is good but service is very bad, first time delivery but very bad service would not recomend this chippy at all for the attituide we experinced which is a shame. very disapointed.
