This place is cozy, but the food is definitely decent. The staff are really friendly and were really helpful with the menu. I had their signature burger (where £1 from each sale goes to MIND; a mental health service. Love this!) And a side of jerk chicken fries. The portion was perfect and the burger was great. The dining area is petit, so call ahead if there are more than 6 of you. I wish I could have stayed for more than one beer but it's Monday and I have work to do!

Very good food and service, well worth a visit.

Six of us met today for lunch. Friendly staff and no pressure to order quickly or time limit to leave. Very relaxed and comfortable environment. Would thoroughly recommend. Vegan and veggie food choices along with meat roast. The shared teacup of cocktail was a novel idea and enjoyed by all.

The two of us went there no need to book sunday. The wife was over the moon with her sunday lunch. Parking free by the bus station. My burger was great. staff very polite. Thank you we will be back.

Popped in off the cuff for a late Sunday breakfast. The atmosphere was very inviting and the service prompt. The breakfast was fab - well cooked, presented and extremely tasty. Some might argue the price was a tad high but not so when you account for the quality and how filling it was. There are other breakfast options to suit a more frugal budget. Will definitely pop in again when next passing even if just for coffee.

Excellent restaurant in Midhurst. The burgers are simply amazing. If you live within 15 miles of Midhurst, this is the place to come for a real hamburger. The prawns plus the halloumi fries are great starters too. Maybe doesn't look a lot from the outside, but you'll be glad you walked in for a meal. Great service and excellent food. We'll be coming back and we live over 25 miles away. It's simply that good.

I always give things a go more than once and I've been to this place three times now, so I feel I can review. The Olive & Vine is an Ok'ish place, not really my vibe, it feels more like a teenage hangout than a place to eat. Also, portion sizes are great if you're an ant, but not a bloke who wants fed a proper portion for what is being charged. The service staff are a bit flat when it comes to 'oomph' - there isn't any. I don't think I'll be returning to this establishment any time soon.

Dropped in for Sunday lunch. Lovely roast and very good veggie burger. Service is a little lackadaisical, but very good natured and the atmosphere is great.

Food I thought menu was very limited I asked for not too spicy meal as I struggled to pick something I had fajitas I know these can be spicy I specially asked if they could be toned down and not spiced if not possible I'd change but told not too hot when it came the vegetables I could not eat too spicy I'd added chicken which was bearable so managed with that and the wraps etc so disappointed as it was birthday treat my family agreed the menu limited and expecting bill upto £100 ,I was shocked it was £135/40 3 adults and 2 children, mains and 3 puds only a drink each they did offer 2 cocktails £8 which was good offer I admit I've not been there for sometime and we live in post covid times but not everyone enjoys spices on everything 😀

Ordered for takeaway and received great reception when ordering through the phone. Upon collecting, staff were extremely friendly and smiling. Food was absolutely outstanding; good options for dietary restrictions, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! I was only visiting Midhurst temporarily but have found yet another reason to come back.

The food and drinks are ok, but the staff is rude and unprofessional.

Great service, very welcoming environment and fantastic food. The OV burger is one of those choices where the attention to detail can be seen. Juicy and tasty meat, bacon with texture but not brittle, the gerkins crunchy and distinctive, the small side of coleslaw with a great flavour by itself or combined with the burger. Wife loved the pan seared sea bream, with a spicy sauce punching enough without killing the other flavours.

If you are looking for a quality breakfast and in the midhurst area this is the place to go . Breakfast cooked to perfection . Four of us stumbled across this place today and all were equally impressed . Been a chef for over 20 years and so often left disappointed eating out these days but for once left very happy and already talking about when we can go back to try an evening meal or Sunday roast . Coffee pretty good too

All around good place to meet up and share a meal... Good choice of good food very good service .

I had a very hard time finding healthy food here.

We really enjoyed our meal here. It was relaxed with friendly staff and the food was simple but tasty. I had cajun chicken salad and the chocolate brownie. If you're looking for somewhere relaxed and a bit different I would recommend it. We aren't locals so relied on reviews to decide to visit here and we're glad we did!

Been several times always good.

Popped in here for an evening meal on the basis this is rated one of the best restaurants in Midhurst. It wasn't busy and the intitial welcome by staff was friendly. However, the food was average at best. And given that the place wasn't busy and isn't huge the serving staff weren't that attentive - food served - I asked for some sauce and it never materialised. Never saw the staff in our section again other than when they served another table and quickly departed. Not even checking to see if everything was okay. In the end I had to had to head to the bar to settle the bill as no staff had appeared for 20 minutes! Had better experiences in the area ...

Staying with a friend in Chichester we took a bus to the very picturesque Midhurst. Wanted some lunch and found this fab place. A really cool vibe with historical tones. The waitress was the friendliest I think I have ever come across. Really nice food in pleasant surroundings. Wish there was something similar in London! Thoroughly recommend.

After just looking for a bite to eat we looked in the window of a small cafe. From the outside it looked small and cosy. When we ventured in it was obvious it was an illusion it was quite spacious. We were greeted by very polite staff who directed us to a table. The menu looked very interesting and the drinks menu was good. The food arrived promptly and was very tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The whole experience was that good we returned the following evening!

Went for a late lunch to this very cute bar/pub. We walked into the main area off the street and it appeared initially as a small English pub. Some board games on the side shelf lovely decor. As we walked through we were shown to a lovely garden where we ate outside in the sunshine. Food was great bad the falafel salad which was very yummy. Really great service! Would come back!

We were on a short break in Midhurst. On a Sunday evening we were recommended The Olive & Vine by the locals , and can report we were not disappointed. We were given a warm welcome, and were served very quickly with a Chef's Special from the board. I'd definitely recommend the prawn and chorizo linguine with spinach. Very nice indeed.

I had no idea this place existed before my visit, I really enjoyed the vibe, eighties tunes, good food.

Had a good meal here. The staff are welcoming & friendly. Didn't realise how big hhe place was, it's like a tardis! Would recommend the O&V for a night out.

Tried this restaurant as it looked quirky and interesting Once sat down Menu states that that Monday special is burger and drink for £12 However, the restaurant would not honour this if it wasn’t booked in advance, This immediately left a bad taste for the evening ahead Would have walked out there and then, however my wife had paid the bill in advance Unfortunately things didn’t improve as the pulled chicken burger was basically pulled chicken with a sauce in a burger bun, impossible to eat with your hands as sauce everywhere and didn’t taste that great Definitely our first and last visit, would not recommend

We have been to The Olive and Vine a few times, and every time the food has been excellent, delicious and fresh. The staff are friendly and the back garden is lovely for a sunny coffee break. Suitable for all ages, however the toilets are down a couple of steps, so not suitable for wheelchair users.

We had a great meal with beautifully flavoured food for all the family. Service was great and staff friendly.

Wow! Absolutely amazing restaurant for eating, drinking or just spending time. Deceptive from the front, it looks tiny! But has loads of seating out the back including a massive garden. It’s even dog friendly in the bar and the garden! The food was incredible, and they serve every day 12-9pm which is such a good selling point! We had the burger, pork belly and a steak, plus some loaded fries to share. The pork belly was the best we had tasted. We will 1000% be back again very soon!

Wonderful food, lovely ambience and excellent value. Had 3 small plates and sweet potato fries to share. The flavours were stunning - pork belly with crackling crumb, apple sauce, honey and mustard chorizo sausage, cafe de Paris prawns. Mango panacotta and sorbet, mixed berry cheesecake with raspberry sorbet. Lovely ‘conservatory’ and garden seating out the back! Quirky! Nice loo as well - what’s not to like 👍

We just popped in for a glass of wine and sat in their lovely quirky little courtyard. Very friendly helpful staff.

Lovely food and beautiful setting.

Popped in for lunch on a Monday. First time visit and thought this was a lovely little gem of a place. Small but cool bar at the front, then a conservatory leading onto a delightful, colourful, shabby chic style garden at the rear with seating made out of reclaimed pallets. Caesar salad was delicious. And the staff were friendly and welcoming. Loved it and will return to see what it’s like in the evenings.

The higher rating definitely reflects the cute atmosphere and adorable garden setting! I will say that unfortunately we felt a little forgotten by the staff. It wasn’t busy but we were the only table in the garden and barely saw our server. The food was okay but could use a bit more seasoning. Good option for a small town though! Also I’m not sure if they have issues with their neighbours but there are approximately five signs asking you to keep your noise level low so keep that in mind.

Staff couldn't be bothered to come up to meet us on entry and didn't ask if we wanted any more drinks. The food itself was nice but nothing special.

Mothering Sunday a complete success. Despite us booking a table for 8 then 10 turning up the management rearranged the tables so we could all sit comfortably. Food was excellent and there was plenty to satisfy even the men! Deserts were lovely. Will go back.

Cocktails are storing and well made. Place is busy and reasonably priced, especially for the happy hour deal. However, the garden could do with having more heaters or facilities to keep warm

We stopped off in Midhurst en-route home from Winchester just to get something to eat and happened to stumble on this little gem. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us on a busy Saturday early evening. The staff are really lovely, the atmosphere is great...

Really pleasant and on the ball staff, made 8 of us feel very welcome and accommodating all the various food/drink requests with ease. Brilliant hangover remedy food...at least the halloumi fries I had were! Lovely historic building and I loved the original Tudor wall painting.

Our first visit as we have only recently moved to the area. We visited for brunch and it was fabulous. Lovely atmosphere and great menu. The food was delicious. The lunch and evening menu looks promising so we will certainly return. Thank you very much!

Sadly seems to have gone downhill since I last came in no burger available my roast beef was awful very tough meat that went cold before I could finish it the roast potatoes were re heated and the Yorkshire was soggy. Oh and the asked for no ice in the drink managed to get that wrong too

Off chance to find a quick lunch in Midhurst, this was the nearest restaurant so we dived in. Lovely waiter, chatty and pleasant. We sat in front room but the conservatory and garden at back looked beautiful. Simple menu, we had burgers and loaded fries....

Limited vegetarian choices but delicious ones. Super fast service for a Friday night. Super sweet mocktails too. Thanks guys!!!

Although a great service from the employees who were prompt taking drinks and food order. The food was not 10 out of 10, vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were slightly over cooked. However, the meat was cooked to perfection, the seasoning for the chicken breast was perfect and could not be faulted, as was the gravy. I think a great restaurant to visit, absolutely loved the ambience of the garden seating. Will definitely try again.

Can’t fault this restaurant-great staff, great food and a nice feel. Earlier comments about the place being rustic just added to the character of it. Definitely will return on out next visit to that part of the world 👍🏻👍🏻

This was quite a nice venue to pay a second visit to. My medium rump steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned by the chef very well. I did not need to add any extra seasoning to my food. Sat outside at the rear of the the restaurant, all very nice. Staff friendly and welcoming but could have been a little more attentive to the customer. All in all a very nice meal in a nice little town of midhurst with nice shops. I would recommend this as a place to have a meal

Amazing food and setting love it

We had a great breakfast around 11 am. It was not too busy, and we had fast and friendly service. Hubby enjoyed the Full English and loved the sausages. I had the egg and bacon on a bagel, and the bacon came crispy like I asked for. My latte was great! Lovely decor!

Great place! Lovely little outdoor seating area, all shaded. The staff were great, very attentive and service was swift. The cocktails were generous. There were lots of beers on tap and there were craft beers as well. The food was pretty good. The prawn and chili linguine was excellent. The salads nice. The fish cakes weren't great as not much fish in them, so avoid them. The nachos were brilliant. All in all, a great place to come and have a drink and eat.

Would Recommend this place, Really Good Food and Attentive Staff. Tried this week but the sign on the door said they were closed Monday and Tuesday. Do Not Know whether this is Covid related. We were very disappointed.

Ate here last night. We didn't have a booking but they they squeezed us in. The staff are super friendly. We were seated outside which was lovely. It's a shame some people still want to smoke while eating though, however it didn't spoil the meal. We had nachos to start and a steak for main dish. All portion sizes were good and the food was tasty.

26/06/2021 Had an amazing well priced meal here last night. A prawn linguine with plenty of prawns and fabulously tasty barbecue fajitas! All served by our wonderful waitress “Ella” who was efficient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable when asked about the menu and cocktails, all this despite being short staffed and busy, she still managed it with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back! Thank you xx

Me and my wife had a lovely full English at the olive & Vine in Midhurst. Its had a full refurbishment and new owners who make you feel very welcome. If your in the area pop in and see them you won't be disappointed.

Glad we booked here for dinner on our weekend in Midhurst. Fun space, young crew. Limited menu - nachos, burgers, steak, fajitas, etc. Flawless burger and fries. And a good Happy Hour deal on cocktails.

Always warm and inviting a must place to eat in Midhurst

Friendly waiting staff but very forgetful which got tiresome after a while. Even our bill was forgotten about after requesting it on numerous occasions. The vegan burger wasn't the best we'd had and, a little salad on the plate wouldn't have gone amiss. I know these are hard times but failure to address the issues mentioned could result in customers not returning so attention to detail has to be a priority. On the plus side, the fries were generous and tasty.
