The Olive Tree in Woking

This pub is lovely, friendly service, they allow dogs and also accept a taste card. The food was amazing, we had two beef burgers, a southern fried chicken burger and the pork belly, all which was lovely!!

Excellent Sunday roast today in a fully booked pub and restaurant. Still the quality, service and ambiance were great. I like the choice of sitting in the bar or the restaurant depending on the occasion. Menu is the same. Some great wines by the glass at reasonable prices. Family run! Excellent.

Regularly come to this wonderful cosy restaurant. The staff and management are always so friendly and helpful. Came with two grandchildren tonight as a pre birthday treat for them. They both had a wonderful time. The food was as usual fantastic, the special Dover Sole was on another level. The atmosphere was great even though it was not too busy. As we left my grandchildren asked when we can come back. Considering they usually want to go to burger bars which I hate that is a big bonus. I will definitely bring them back here. The hosts Jo and Nigel are always welcoming and friendly and give good advice on the menu. This has become one of our favourite restaurants. Congratulations to all the staff and especially the wonderful chef who has shared the secret with how to get the fish batter so light and fluffy.( it worked) Thank you.

We visited this pub about six years ago and it was very disappointing. My review was only two stars. We decided to come back and give a try, we are so happy we decided too. The food was amazing the staff very caring and attentive. The value for money was great we will definitely be back.

Fantastic Had a family meal today for a table of 13. The 2 ladies behind the bar and serving were very professional under pressure. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic and served well and piping hot. All of my family members were very impressed and most of us are in the industry. Well done to the Management Team . Seriously great job and made our family get together even more enjoyable. Well done

We arrived for Sunday lunch at 12:30, and someone decided that it would be nice to light the fire. I don't know if it was the first time it was lit this year, but it was obviously stupid not to light the fire well before customers came in. The pub filled with smoke, and they had to open all the doors for half an hour to clear the air. We may as well have sat outside. The food was okay, but the smoke filled and then the cold atmosphere dominated lunch. There was no apology or explanation from the manager.

Really delicious soufflé and cauliflower cheese. The quiet ambience suited us. Good ales too. We'll be back!

First visit and wont be the last! Lovely atmosphere, great food, plenty of variety and reasonably priced. Service with a smile from every member of staff.

I don't usually write reviews, but feel compelled to do so this time. We have been coming here for several years, certainly before present owners. The food is ok, if unexciting and I think it's time the menu was refreshed, because if you visit frequently, and you don't like burgers, you run out of choices. The specials board used to be very varied and enticing, but this isn't the case now. Also, the presence of drinkers and large parties cause unacceptable noise levels, making conversation very difficult and we have encountered this on our last three visits. It's a great venue in nice surroundings, but let down by unimaginative food. Sorry!

Haven't been for a while, and thoroughly disappointed with food, massive change in menu and food quality since when there last. Chips were all scraggy, like end bits , scampi over cooked, and service , well, no one knew whether they were coming or going. Won't be rushing back. 6 years ago had an amazing meal, chateaubriand, nothing like that on menu anymore, even the burger buns looked over toasted when arrived Also, so noisy, couldn't even have a conversation with friends we went with due to large groups gathering at the bar

This is now our go you pub which we visit at least monthly. Saturday evening was about our 20th or more visit. We always take friends and family there as food and ambience so good. Lovely welcome from Nigel. I had the chicken and leek pie which was so filling I couldn't eat my go to pud the biscoffi cheesecake. Robin had fish and chips that he regularly has there and his usual biscoffi cheesecake. Lovely young waiter. Food scrumptious as usual. Warm welcome as always. Robin is in a wheelchair or using frame slwsys given easy access table.

Came in for drinks and enjoyed the local IPA. My parter enquired about dessert and staff were nice enough to serve the icec cream even though kitchen was closed. The dessert was delicious.

The food was good and it’s a lovely eatery. Roasts are really good and worth the visit . Our waiter George was amazing. What a lovely and charming young man making it a very pleasant experience

My husband and I came here for Sunday lunch with friends. Staff were all friendly and helpful; we all ordered a Sunday roast so our food came very promptly! All the meals were excellent with spot-on portion sizing and a good range of vegetables. Extra gravy was provided immediately when asked as well as sauces such as mint sauce and horseradish. We all had dessert which was also very good and arrived quickly. Portion sizes were once again excellent. Prices were decent given the quality of the food. The atmosphere was fine, surprisingly not that busy but there were still several other occupied tables. We will definitely return!

Wonderful bottomless brunch to celebrate the coronation. Had the full breakfast - nice and light and wonderful home made bread.

Last minute plan to have Sunday lunch today. The starters, roast dinner, risotto and wines were all top notch. All the food is fresh and homemade to a very high standard from top ingredients. Service was friendly and prompt. Unusually quiet on “Coronation Big Lunch” Sunday, but we very much enjoyed our “big lunch”.

Booked here for dads birthday- can’t praise this pub enough. We had a trainee waiter, George- fabulous ( thanks George ) service was excellent. Food was amazing, can’t rave about the leek & potato garlic soup enough. All of our various starters, mains & puddings were so tasty. Sirloin was mouthwatering. Our compliments to chef Alex- beautiful grub- thanks. Lastly, our thanks to the owners, Jo & Nigel, who were very attentive, chatty & honestly couldn’t have looked after us any better. This is our favourite goto place for a lovely relaxing Sunday lunch. We both had the roast beef which was succulent and tender and the portions are very generous. Great selection of vegetables that include a delicious cauliflower cheese and the best roast potatoes I’ve had in a long time. Special thanks to the Olive Tree team for giving us a warm welcome and great service.

Have reviewed this pub a couple of times , the last time being six years ago and am pleased to write that the Hogs Back TEA was in excellent condition.There was a minor issue with one of our sandwiches which was dealt with very professionally by Kathy. It's not an exaggeration to record that I'd be hard pressed to think of an occasion that I've experienced such friendly service whilst lunching in a pub. I hope the owner realises he has a super star !

Hadn’t been here for a few years. It used to be brilliant This time my £20 ‘rare roast beef sirloin’ consisted of 3 slices of wafer thin beef that could easily have been microwaved slices from a pack from the Sainsbury’s deli. The gravy was coloured water and the roast potatoes were clearly deep fried to finish that left them rock hard and a struggle to cut open.

The pictures seemed alluring and we hoped for a nice meal. Unfortunately, whilst there was nothing particularly wrong with the food it was bottom tier pub grub. The atmosphere was pretty awful with very rowdy groups of male and females (I'm only 30 so hardly mind an atmosphere) but this ruined our evening. They were in every room and the staff did nothing about it. The staff were however polite and well-mannered and I suppose some leeway needs to be given due to them only just opening after lockdowns however arguably this means they should try harder. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

Staff very friendly, food was average. Hoping that when bookings are available inside, things go back to being a little more upmarket.

Disappointing. Went for lunch. First impression was good. Lovely outside area. But table and benches were uncomfortable. First time out for months. Had chicken and bacon sandwich on granary bread. It came and the sliced bread had been toasted and it was soggy. The flavour of the sandwich was lovely but with a bit of effort it could have been delicious. Not sure I will return.

This was our first pub trip out post lockdown and we weren’t disappointed. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in the marquee with our puppy snoozing under the table. The food was great but the chips in particular were absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to visit here again!

We breezed by in the morning to check out the marquee dining.One side of the marquee was open but they had tables outside so we booked one of those.My broccoli and stilton soup sounded good but it didn't measure up. It was a puree and difficult to detect the broccoli and even more so the stilton.My asparagus and pea risotto I had to send back to be reheated. A good hot replacement came back with an apology from the chef, which was good.However the three stumps of asparagus sticking upright really did not do justice to the description.Although well-patronised by drinkers, it fell below our hopes on the food front.Our bill for two starters, two mains and two alcoholic drinks was £50+.

Have had another great Sundy lunch today.It was excellent to have quality food delivered in a timely and friendly manner.We hope you will still give us the chance to have your food delivered to us older clients after lockdown is over. Again many thanks keep up the good work.

Had fillet steak delivered tonigh, on time, still pipping hot and perfectly cooked, the delivery driver was polite and very pleasant, its the fourth meal we have had delivered, excellent Nigel hope you still do delivery after lock down.

During lockdown The Olive Tree has offered a home delivery service which we have used twice this month. My husband had a steak last night and he is very particular with how his steak is cooked. His knife cut through the steak like butter and he was highly impressed with the quality. The food, service and value for money is excellent. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

So we tried the takeaway. We’re on holiday (at home) so we wanted something a bit different for a Friday night. Found The Olive Tree online. Just WOW There’s something for everyone- i had the vegan pie & mash - oh my days I cleared the plate, the other half had the scampi and big teen son had the ribs. Will definitely be back, and hopefully in person...soon!

Great food hot on time friendly service great portions ribs curry’s and pies are fantastic . Third visit be we will be back again hopefully soon to eat in and buy the landlord a beer . Keep up the good work take out to help out

On our visit the tables were sticky and no social distancing of staff or from the public. I Did bring up my concern but had a very rude response off the staff, they did not want to know like it or leave basically. Very disappointing, shame all restaurants are now closed because of establishments like this unable to follow the guidelines . Now everyone has to be punished because of places like this .

I'm unable to eat dairy or Gluten and this can make finding places to eat out an absolute nightmare, especially if wanting to avoid using the same chains all the time. Not only do they have an amazing range of gluten free options, but they checked if using the same fryer would be a problem and cooked the chips speratly. I've been back a couple of times now and had an amazing gluten free fish and chips and stunning burger as well. The only negative was on one trip they tried to charge me for a pint of orange juice and a pint of lemonade when I had them mixed which would have cost more than my mates pint of beer, but when I questioned it they removed the extra. They also have a nice garden for eating outside in the summer or stopping for a drink and a snack when out for a bike ride.

It’s a special place. Great people, great service, great food. I’ve been here a few times and this place just keeps getting better and better!! You guys are great! Keep it up! See you soon x

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. The quality of the meats was excellent and they were expertly cooked. The potatoes were nice and crispy and the vegetables in just the right quantities. All rounded off with a different desert for everyone. Great tasting wines. A meal enjoyed by all!

They resumed their takeaway service this week. It has an expanded menu for the main course. We have just had the pie, burger and curry. Outstanding. It was nice to have a pint whilst I waited. Thanks to all in the Olive Tree.

Visited with friends for lunch. All our meals were excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. So good that we have already booked to go there for a birthday celebration. Dog-friendly in the bar area is a bonus.

Not been before, but was recommended, and boy, what a great recommendation. Fabulous atmosphere, great food, really, really friendly service. I know there will always be someone who complains, but please....this place is a gem!

Arrived just after kitchen closed for lunch. But the staff were amazing and rather take the easy option and just say no to our pleas for food, they went the extra mile to provide food for us. Great visit. Deffo coming back.

I wanted to review the Olive Tree because my partner and i were so impressed by the level of service we were given by 3 members of staff. Staff sometimes do not get enough recognition and quality serving staff can make all the difference between a fantastic venue and an ok venue.

Quite simply one of the best Sunday Lunches I have had. Beautifully cooked food and very good service.It was also a very safe and socially distanced venue which meant we were able to relax and enjoy our time at The Olive Tree.

Jack provided us with an energetic and fun service, constantly checking up on our table! He really was awesome! Moreover, the food was yummy! :)

This was the first time that my friend and I had ventured out for a meal, since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. We wre greeted in the usual friendly way by the bar and waiting team and, later, by the chef. C-19 rules were clearly displayed, which led to an atmosphere of safety and confidence. Although we were the first to arrive, it wasn't long before there was a general buzz of conversation.The hake curry, washed down with a couple of pints of local ale, was excellent and my colleague enjoyed his burger, which he had difficulty finishing, despite glasses of N.Z. Sauvignon Blanc!

Lovely food and friendly service! From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. I opted for the vegetarian Moving Mountains burger and my daughter the normal burger. Wow! Fab food and great portions

I cannot tell you just what a fantastic pub this is. Due to COVID our wedding plans were thrown into complete chaos but the Olive Tree came to our rescue and everyone that joined us was blown away by the quality of the food and service. The staff went well above and beyond to make our scaled back wedding lunch really special and even decorated the restaurant for us.From the moment we met Jak and enquired about doing something (keeping within the COVID regulations) he was nothing but a superstar helping us sort seating plans, a bespoke menu and even ensuring we had plenty of our preferred drinks. All our guests had a great time and everyone at the Olive Tree is to thank, we will definitely be regulars. Also a big thank you to the chefs who kept the kitchen open for longer to accommodate us. A huge thank you to all the Olive Tree team!

My friend and I had a fabulous evening yesterday at The Olive Tree, which neither of us have visited for a very long time. The food was lovely - halloumi and squid starters, and scampi and mushroom tagliatelle for mains. The highlight of the evening was Jak... what a funny man, big personality, great service, and so entertaining. We booked another table for next week already!

We walk past this pub quite regularly since we moved to the area recently so it was lovely to get inside it and see what it has to offer. Lovely interior design in this pub/restaurant with friendly staff who are doing their best despite the current circumstances. Onto the food that I received - I would recommend that you avoid the squid starter - 7 pieces of pale battered squid with a sad salad isn’t worth the £7 in my opinion. The burger I had was better, but a tad dry - either the patty was too small or the dressing in the bun not enough to compensate for such a big bun. I will go again - for the twist perhaps - but will probably not do evening food (or at least until the government scheme has stopped). This may have been the reason for this somewhat poor offering when we visited.

I visited The Olive Tree in August with my family, to support the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and thought we would try a local pub that we haven't visited before. I acknowledge that things are different due to covid but I have visited several other restaurants/pubs on the scheme and this was undoubtedly the worst. - There is nowhere online to indicate if you are booking a table inside or outside. We were given a table outside but it was far too cold so asked to be seated inside (not unreasonable for 8:30PM in drizzle). 3 of us were seated on a small table for 2 next to a fire escape (which was propped open). - We were told that we would be re-seated on a larger table if one became available. We watched other tables finish their meals and leave but as the staff never came to clear those tables, we weren't able to move. - The waitress struggled to remember our drinks order, the specials, and what the kitchen was out of - The menu was uninspiring and the food itself was of poor quality (soggy batter on fish and chips etc) - It didn't seem like covid measures were taken seriously. For example, when we were given vinegar/salt and pepper these were all handed to us by someone without gloves, the bottles were sticky and hadn't been wiped down from previous use. Some of the staff were wearing visas but they were still stood within 1 metre of our tiny table. - No one came to check on us at any point during or after our meal. We had to go to the bar to request the bill. A waitress then came over to our table with a card machine and no bill, expecting us to pay an amount we hadn't had a chance to review. We would have complained to someone during our visit but none of the staff were interested enough in our table to get their attention for this conversation to happen. With the Eat Out to Help Out, the meal was only £25 for three people (one course only, after waiting 45 minutes for fish and chips we didn't hang around for dessert), but I still thought it was reasonable to expect better service, even for this price. Overall, a terrible experience and would not revisit or recommend.

Just had a fantastic chicken salad at The Olive. Yes it's busy but the staff are performing so well and they deserve a lye down after service. Jak has been in converbelt mode with the sheer volume of drinks going out. Kathy, Mia and colleagues have worked so hard too despite having to get drenched going outside. The guys in the kitchen must be knackered but thank you for such a good lunchtime service. I thought I saw Noah helping out on the hobs. Well done all. Roll on September eh? Its always good here with great staff and great food.

Food mediocre, burger dry, pasta hard and quite- inedible in clumps, oily, and onion rings greasy, honeycomb like glue, sorbet too sweet and not the palate cleanser expected - supporting local business but won’t be hurrying back for their food.Service impeccable from the most friendly guy - spoilt our choc lab rotten. Worth going to be looked after by him - lovely lad

Absolutely fantastic service and food!! We have been back regularly since they have been able to re-open, seen a number of staff members, all so conscious of covid restrictions and reminding customers not following the rules. One way system in place in the pub also feels us with confidence, have been just for drinks indoors, drinks outdoors, eaten indoors and eaten outdoors and honestly so much faith in what these guys and girls are doing! We have visited other establishments where staff are not following any restrictions. Making exceptional circumstances feel as normal as possible whilst feeling as safe as possible which is brilliant having spent almost 5 months in the safety of home. Had absolutely perfect steak dinners as part of eat out to help out in this pub on Tuesday evening, perfect steak and really enjoyed the skinny fries with it! The chocolate brownie dessert was also to die for!! Can’t wait for another night for dinner in The Olive Tree!!

pub has just reopened due to virus so thought id take advantage of government food offer 50 %off .Good presentation very good sides of cauliflower cheese and onion rings ...good amount of chips but haddock 50% smalller than i would expect for the money

Came in with the mrs and both ordered rump steak. Perfectly cooked and char grilled. Every element on the plate was delicious. Would 100% reccomend.

Moving mountain burger was pretty good but salad that came in the bun was pretty poor . The menu indicated coleslaw -not vegan but no replacement . Fries were ok . Nearly a really good meal but just needed a bit more thought or avocado for £13.50 However Lovely staff and great location

I’ve had a lovely experience each time I’ve visited the Olive Tree, but wanted to make a point of writing a review this time because the service was so good. Jak made everyone laugh and it really helped elevate an average family meal to a special occasion. We all think he should look into a career in stand up comedy! Thank you for such great service!

After the recent troubles it was great to be welcomed back at the Olive Tree. It was a pleasure to see the safeguards they've put in place to keep he pub Covid safe. All the serving staff wearing visors, even in this heat. Clear markings on the doors and floor etc.I didn't go for the main menu but the bar snacks were amazing. Black pudding bon bons, pork belly bites and the fish bites were amazing.It was great to be back and welcomed by Liam and all the crew!

We decided to stop by this pub, due to its good location and having heard good things. But the experience was highly unpleasant. The overall atmosphere was just lacking, no welcoming pub feeling, with the dilapidated outdoor area not helping. The main problem was the rudeness of the staff, who were very bunt and uninterested in the customers. There was also just a lack of basic service. I ordered a Gin & Tonic but the staff member didn't even bother to ask what kind of Gin I would like. In fact there wasn't even really a mention of drinks list or nothing. And from the images from their website they definitely stock a vast range of drinks. All in all the visit was so disappointing that even with its wonderful location being near the Wey Navigations (well worth walking at), we won't visit again.

UNSAFE WITH REGARDS TO COVID care and safe guard in my opinion. We have visited this restaurant/pub over many years. Visited there today- Sunday 26th July 2020 lunchtime, a great disappointment. They do not have any organisation or visible management on site. It appears that they have little if not no COVID arrangements in place, just a bunch of young girls talking behind the bar talking to each other, totally uninterested in customers. It feels dangerous and after trying to work a way out to get service - which allowed me to lean on the bar and try to communicate with the group of girls chatting - no signs of do not touch the bar - or a needed strip on the floor outlining a safe distance to stand away from the bar - no track and trace - it was clear it was safer to leave and stay away. Why do these establishments who surely need our return of support do not care a thing - just assume the tide will return !? NO !!!

My partner and I had a great evening at The Olive Tree on Saturday evening. Good food in a clean and safe environment. Serving Silent Pool Gin, which we loved! Greeted by Jack on our arrival and immediately felt welcomed, he entertained us all evening and is a fabulous member of their team. Thank you for such good service and we will be back soon!

First time back to the the pubs, and we were feeling a bit nervous about all the new processes. Jack made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress free. Literally the most incredible host. Couldn’t have asked for a friendlier and more hospitable host. Would come back for service alone!!

Went to olive tree tonight for first night back at the pub. Was quite apprehensive as thought it would be a bit chaotic etc but jack always made sure we had a drink and there were clear safety measures that made me feel really comfortable. Oh guys we have missed your food... can’t wait till you open again. Our roast lambs were as always on point and just mouth watering.. left me wanting more however. It feels so weird not being there today, it’s my birthday! It must be the first birthday I haven’t spent with you in 5/6 years.Anyone who hasn’t yet been to the olive tree.. when they re open you MUST they are the best in the area.. always the first choice on our list for every occasion. Actually don’t wait for them to open check out their take away menu online and order today.. you don’t know what you’ve been missing.. but the take out is nothing compared to the experience of being there... the food however is amazing still.

I've always regarded this pub restaurant as being a bit pricey. It is currently closed due to covid. Last night we had a superb fish and chip takeaway which included mushy peas and tartre sauce, all for under £20 for two. It was far better than local chippies and a great introduction to their food. Well done!

Have just had the best pie and chips ever from the olive tree takeaway service. Sooo good. Highly recommend. Best takeaway I’ve had in lockdown 😊.

We decided to dine here Saturday evening as it was our wedding anniversary and thought to go somewhere different having not been here for many years. The staff were, from the minute we stepped in and were greeted with enthusiasm, consistently attentive friendly and polite, the food was great, freshly made bread, amazing scallops, succulent lamb shank and a delicious home made pulled pork cajun pie, all cooked perfectly, actually served hot, and well presented. The service was brilliant too, warm and efficient and Jack made us feel welcome and looked after. The only regret was that we could not manage a pudding!We will certainly be recommending The Olive Tree, and coming back again, thank you for a great evening!

7 of us and a baby for Sunday lunch, staff were really accommodating and friendly and had reserved us a nice quiet table with space for a buggy etc. We all ordered roasts which were absolutely delicious, save some room for the Biscoff cheesecake it’s amazing!!! We will definitely be visiting again, a thoroughly enjoyable meal and a friendly and inviting ambience.

Booked a table for 7 no problem. Great friendly service. The roasts were amazing - best we all have had for a long time. The vegetables were presently really well with wonderful small sweet carrots, parsnips and kale. The puddings were locally sourced and the cheesecake which is made by a one of the bar staff was incredible. I shall certainly recommend everyone to go there for a wonderful roast.

Visited around same time last year and have been meaning to go back for a roast since – had heard good things. In short, spot on. Booked a table for 7 in advance (recommended) and arrived just after 1ish – familiar warm greeting from the staff behind the bar, shown to our table promptly. Roast selection was a great lineup. I went for the pork belly with crackling, which was spot on for me. Choice of lamb shoulder or lamb leg was a nice touch. The helpings of seasonal veg and cauliflower cheese as side dishes were great. Much better to serve it in this way than on the plate – you can add as much as you what onto your plate, which inevitably always varies around a table. Asked for more gravy, got it promptly. We went for a few desserts after, a decent selection and well enjoyed – no vanilla ice cream left, but well explained by our waiter, as their local supplier is only open during the week. Fair enough! All said and done, we left a very full and happy bunch. Thanks for having us.

Have not been here for a while as disappointing food last time but gave it another go . Nothing has improved and for a Sat nite my 1st choice of food was sold out. So were 3 other options so I settled for a burger as last resort and it was dry, uninspiring and not greatly presented. The excuse was that they were busy.Service was a bit odd - being asked if we wanted anything else whilst still eating, no one asking whether our food was ok, milk slopped on the table. The brownie was just cake. It’s a lot of little things that all add up.Also the only coffee available was filterOverall a mediocre experience and they need to up their game

Visited the olive Tree for Sunday lunch yesterday. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t of been more attentive and helpful.The food was something else!!!!!! We all had a roast - 1 lamb, 1 beef and 1 pork and the quality was fantastic - my mother in law said it was the best roast she’d ever had out! We then had desserts to follow (see photo) which were delicious!!! Top quality food, perfect presentation, lovely venue and great staff - worth every penny - we’ll be back!!!!

We have probably eaten at The Olive Tree half a dozen times during 2019 for both business and pleasure and recently on the 31st January, 2020. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and the menu caters for all needs. Diners include couples, families and small groups. There is also ample car parking.

Amazing food and the service was great, had a lovely time with family and our server Jack made the visit even more pleasant. Such a lovely and friendly environment, will definitely be going back!

A fantastic lunch visit. Chatting for a few hours. Gorgeous food including the haddock (beautiful white fish) and lamb shank (very tender). I had a few alternative requests e.g lamb shank, no mash and the side order order of seasonal veg. No problem at all. Chardonnay was light and tasty. The service was just right. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Olive Tree. A lovely atmosphere!

We had a lovely evening with really good food and attentive service. The meal was good value, fresh ingredients and well cooked and presented . Comfortable setting and clean and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back soon . The Goan Hake and Prawn Curry was fantastic.

I would highly recommend the olive tree, We had a fantastic dinner with great wine and even though it was a Tuesday night there was a great atmosphere and jack made us feel very welcome. 5*

Lovely pub with delicious food!

This is such a nice pub, warm, comfortable and very friendly and welcoming staff. Surrey pubs are never cheap but the excellent food here is a cut above others. We had sea bass and bream and both were delicious and beautifully cooked with tasty vegetables. There is a lovely open fire at one end, great to sit by on a cold winter day. I highly recommend this pub.

Arranged a staff party with Jak for 40+ and in every aspect they went beyond my expectations. The service, food, and atmosphere was second to none. Would highly recommend. Thank you Jak and the whole team at the Olive Tree 10/10.

Amazing meal at the Olive Tree. Highly recommend the Lamb Shank and Belly Pork, they were delicious and we were given a perfect recommendation from Jack (Manager) to have the side of Cauliflower Cheese!! Really yummy and his pudding choice was a massive hit too!

I absolutely love The Olive Tree I come here regularly for lunch and dinner. The food is always fantastic and a great variety of food which also changes with the season. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and always remember what you like. Kathy especially has always been so friendly and welcoming.

Have eaten here a few times and recently came with a group of friends. Food is always excellent and staff super friendly (especially Kathy and Liam who always make us feel welcome and are generally a great laugh!)

Came here for works christmas party and we couldn't have chosen anywhere better to have it! Excellent service throughout, food was really nice and towards the end of the night we had such a good laugh with the staff there especially Jak, absolute sweetheart. Will definitely be back again!

I came in for a few drinks with my friends and was astounded with the quality of service. As soon as I stepped in I had a member or staff greet me with a smile and a merry Christmas. I felt so welcome. My friends and I were treated with such respect. The lads behind bar Liam and Tom were really attentive and couldn’t do enough, I look forward to coming back here !!!

Brought my family here as a little treat for Christmas Eve. Couldn’t ask for amore amazing service I can’t recommend a better pub to come and have a good meal or some drinks. I felt welcomed since I walked into the door compared to other pubs. I couldn’t deny I had the best burger I have had in a while and my family say say same about there meal. From my heart I thank the olive tree team especially Tom for the great service. And thank Elin & Liam for their amazing recommendations.

We were greeted promptly, shown to our table promptly and we were served immediately with our drinks. The staff could have not been nicer. Jack was so wonderful, a credit to the pub. All the staff were fantastic.

This is a beautiful country pub in fantastic surroundings with wonderful food and service. I’ve dined here many times and you can always rely on getting a good meal that’s a notch above other pubs in the area. There’s ample seating in either the bar or restaurant and a pleasing atmosphere- not quiet but not too loud and noisy- just perfect really!
