The tapas here is really nice been meaning to come back great food local only downfall is its slightly overpriced it would be better if you did a deal on tapas like any 3 for £13 paying £21 for 3 plates it’s little bit much but I can’t complain because of the quality of the food .

This is the third time we have eaten here and once again it was delucious. Lou always gives you a warm welcome and the service is great. They were doing a Valentines menu all week with lots of choice. We had yummy starters of mushrooms on toast with a bluecheese sauce and chicken goujons. We had 5 Tapas mains and the trio of desserts, we were stuffed. There are everyday dishes like burgers or fish and chips etc if you prefer. I recommend a visit.

Jervis Arms

02/04/2019: We just stopped here for a drink in the middle of the day, during an 11-mile walk along the section of the Peak District Boundary Walk from Waterhouses to Tittesworth Reservoir. It was a cool but sunny day and the patio area was a real sun-trap - delightful - and the staff were welcoming. The pub looked attractive inside too - though sadly we’ll have to come back another time for a meal. There were quite a number of others there on a Friday lunchtime so it looks as if it’s a popular destination.
28/04/2019: We'd originally planned to visit having walked in Buxton or around Leek however the high winds and torrential rain put paid to that. We ended up journeying 35 miles from Cheadle (yes, John Lewis was warm and dry), over the hills thanks to SatNav and a bit unnerving in Storm Hannah!

The White Lion

06/01/2019: We have visited the beer garden here a few times in the summer but on a cold wintry day we needed a good Sunday roast whether we had to sit outside with our dogs in the shelter or not but we were told we could bring them inside and were so glad ,!
09/03/2019: Unfortunately, its been a while since we visited, as its one of our favourites. We went with another couple on a Friday night and were the only ones in, so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. The four mains were a bit mixed. My burger was excellent, probably one of the best i have had. My wifes slow cooked beef was hard at one end but otherwise good. The veg were a bit non descript. Both our portions of chips were so so, quite a few were hard. The other 2 meals were good.
