Well worth a visit or two or three ! Absolutely divine sarnies !! So need to work thru the options. Best ever !

I arrived with a friend for lunch to discover that the restaurant had had to close unexpectedly. Gil, the owner hadn’t managed to get hold of me to let me know and was incredibly apologetic. He immediately offered my friend and I a complimentary meal next time we book. It was such a kind gesture. I’ve eaten at Gil’s several times. The food is always fresh, carefully prepared and delicious.

Myself, Hubby and dog visited this wonderful cafe on a whim, they were pretty booked up but still managed to find us a table. We ordered the crab and prawn sarni and the brie and bacon toastie, both come with salad. Well what can I say......outstanding, a cut above the rest. Thick fresh bread, crispy toastie with loads of filling (which justified the higher than usual price tag) and the salad was so refreshing and colourful (grapes, pepper, blueberries and more) The pooch was warmly welcomed and even given a sausage ;) We don't visit the area regularly but whenever we do we will DEFINITELY be eating at Gil's. Who by the way has a personality as colourful as his salads lol. If only more businesses delivered this level of food quality and presentation all long with happy helpful staff. Outside eating area, breakfast and cakes available too.

We were looking for a cafe in the area and spotted Gil's had excellent reviews, so decided to go for brunch. The food was delicious and service friendly. How refreshing to meet the owner, who is so obviously passionate about food and providing a good service for his customers. It's a shame that Gil's isn't close to where we live, as I'm sure we would be regular customers.

Had a fantastic lunch with my son Noah. We always go to Gils either in Chaddesley Corbett or Wolverley. Food is excellent quality and really well presented. I always tell people that my last meal would have to be a Gils breakfast bowl which is just delicious 😋 👏🏻🤩🤩.

I can certainly understand why Gils scores exclusively 5 stars. I can also see why the Malteser Cheesecake is famous! My wife and I (and our 2 dogs) went for lunch. The food was so tasty and the service was perfect...Koko and Crumble even got a sausages from the owner! This tiny café in this little village is an absolute gem I wish I'd been introduced to years ago!

We both had a veggie breakfast, and asked for scrambled eggs (it didn't specify type on the menu) as we don't like/eat fried ones. First this was received with a huff and response 'it only comes with fried' when replying that other dishes on the menu came with scrambled eggs, (first choice was scrambled with avocado but no avocado available), then 'I'll have to check with the kitchen', we reluctantly got scrambled. It was quite a wait for the breakfast although as we asked for a table we were told they were busy and this would be the case. The breakfast was worth the wait, well cooked, not greasy, with homemade hash browns and what appeared to be falafels but these were tasty and a change from a traditional vege sausage.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant with the most delicious food! We shared the fish finger the sausage chutney sandwiches and they were both divine!

Love going to Gil’s! Cosy in the winter, lovely by the stream in the summer. Celebrated a birthday/Father’s Day with a family brunch here today - breakfast bowl gives you about 10 of your 5 a day, bacon butties with superfresh proper doorstep bread, fabulous coffee and enormous toasties/salads. Finished off with a Gil’s malteser birthday cake all in the lovely outdoor covered private area out the back. And anywhere that does a loyalty card for dogs gets my vote 👍. Just missing a glass of fizz to go with it - next project maybe!

Great food, wonderful staff and a very pretty garden. Can highly recommend. They went to so much trouble for my family. A special occasion indeed.

This little gem of a cafe tucked away In Wolverley served us brunch this morning which exceeded our expectations. The Traditional Breakfast was just what we hoped for: freshly prepared to order and quality ingredients. The Sourdough Breakfast Bowl was superb: smoked salmon and scrambled egg on sourdough toast garnished with pomegranate seeds with avocado and mustard mayonnaise and a side of fresh berries. This place would be worth a trek, but perhaps book if you want to be sure of a table. We ate outside in the sunshine beneath the shade of an umbrella. A memorable morning. We will be back soon.
