The Old Post Office in Craven

We have been several times now and each visit has been great. We have sat in The Armoury and had a fun evening engaging with a group of friendly tourists. We have enjoyed the sunshine in the delightful Secret Garden. Our favourite is the bar though. Rob and Adam are perfect hosts and love to chat about their beers. Which is helpful, as the beer selection is plentiful and excellent.

Lovely atmosphere, great hospitality and excellent choice of drinks, we will definitely be coming back.

An absolutely fabulous little bar that we visited a number of times whilst staying in Ingleton Rob and Adam are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome along with the very friendly regulars.A great range of drinks and snacks (naga chilli pork scratchings among them!)If you only visit one bar in Ingleton then make it this one.Thank you for your hospitality and best wishes for the future guys.

Such a quirky bar that used to be a Post office (clue in the name LOL). Beautifully decorated throughout, wonderful 'secret' garden and very friendly hosts. Fantastic wine, beer and gin menu. Can't recommend enough. I have been a few times with friends and also by myself and always felt welcome with great service. A real little gem in Ingleton - love it!

Our first jaunt out for a beer having been in lockdown since Christmas and we were not disappointed.We sat in the cosy beer garden, were informed about the ordering app by one of our hosts and our adventure around the fabulous beverage offer begun. A crisp tasty, and perfectly chilled pilsner dully arrived accompanied by an alcohol free wheat beer, delicious!We sat in the sunshine somewhat envious of the pre-booked group who had bagged “The Sanctum” the quirky but relaxed “Cabana” style seating area in the Secret Garden, but there is always another day. Unperturbed by the threat of a shower on the horizon we ordered another round of drinks. The order quickly arrived, an exquisite alcohol free Seedlip Citrus Gin accompanied by a quality tonic water from the good choice available and a tasty OPO Blonde, outstanding quality, price, and above all true hospitality from our hosts. A cracking first impression from our visit and clearly from the quality and attention to detail to the interior decor spied on our visit to the restroom (which was spotless) we will visit again.

The Old Post office is a fabulous micro bar with a wide range of drinks to suit everyone. It’s been a tough year I’m sure but time has not been wasted and a very niche seating area has been created in the garden to complement the interior, which if you haven’t visited yet is unique. Adam and Rob are fabulous host from the minute you arrive and the new ordering system is fantastic if not a bit dangerous (bad head this morning) . 10 out of 10 in every way, thank you. X

The Old Post Office is one of those fabulous places which should be in every village and every town. Cosy, quirky, great drinks, welcoming owners, great decor and although they no doubt never intended to operate as a restaurant, lovely food! We have only ever visited under Covid restrictions, but even so, the atmosphere of the place was great. As far removed from a soulless chain pub as you can get. Well done guys, hang on in there, and we can't to visit again. x

As locals, we have been here many times - every time we go something has been added & it keeps getting better & better!An amazing choice of gins & the sharing platter we had (followed by the pie & peas!) was more than substantial.Everything felt very safe regarding the Covid restrictions, but it didn’t feel sterile & stiff, very warm & welcoming.Would highly recommend to anyone.

Best food on the street / ingleton. Amazing service food and drinks from the OPO in a LGBTQ+ safe space. It’s so refreshing the way the food menu and drinks menu often change with new additions each week. A proper local with real honest genuine guys running the pace. Always a Lovely atmosphere.

Excellent micropub in the lovely town of Ingleton. Very welcoming and accommodating. Excellent beers available too, on cask, keg and in their fridge. Very good social distancing measures during COVID-19.

A great little find after a long hike ran by two really friendly guys who were really accommodating and made us feel right at home! We'll definitely be there returning as soon as possible.

Well where do you start with this place?! I’ve had the pleasure to be a customer here on several occasions whilst visiting the area and every time has been fantastic! The exterior of the place is inviting and when you step through the door it just gets better. The decor, layout, ambiance and general atmosphere is second to none. A very warm and welcoming little place with âne awesome range of beverages, many that I’ve never seen before. The front bar area is fab but the guys who own and run this little gem have turned the rear room into a great focal point that is equally as inviting and cosy. Rob and Adam have done amazing things with the O.P.O. and despite these challenging times they have overcome the obstacles put in their way and have been inventive but whilst ensuring social distancing and the safety of themselves and their customers. These guys are just so good at what they do and very friendly with it. I’d recommend anyone in the area to pop in and experience the delights that this place has to offer!

Went to this lovely bar yesterday and received a warm welcome as always. A fantastic choice of beers and the decor is amazing.We originally went for a drink but decided to try the food and it was so tasty. We would recommend this place to anyone. We felt safe due to the excellent COVID precautions. You can see that a lot of care and attention has gone into make this bar what it is.Will defiantly be going back.

Went with Hubby for a delicious meal of Cornish Pasty and peas served perfectly cooked although we were quite full afterwards we managed a pudding of warm mince pie and cream . Rob and Adam were fabulous hosts as always and nothing was too much trouble . They have been busy during lockdown and the place looks fabulous. It was really good to be able to have something to eat . So lucky to have the OPO within walking distance. Looking forward to trying the new outdoor area out .

We visited this fantastic bar on a weekend trip to Ingleton and ended up drinking there every evening. The owners are so friendly and the choice of drinks are fantastic. The decor of the two rooms is very quirky and trendy and like something you would see in a big city. This is without doubt one of the best bars we have ever visited. We highly recommend to anyone visiting Ingleton which itself is a great place with so much to see and do.

We popped in on the off chance and were lucky that they fitted us in. The beer was well kept and of excellent quality. The place has a great atmosphere and I would recommend booking in advance. I would add the Covid arrangements were first class

Wow! What a great place! Very well designed, run and most importantly superb beers! (And well controlled COVID safe!) Everything you would expect from a post office We really enjoyed our visit here and the owners are very hospitable. We missed this last time we visited as it only opens from Thursday to Sunday. Definitely pay them a visit if you get the chance, you’re in for a real treat. Not what you would expect. (Top tip, it’s definitely worth booking a table at the minute due to limited capacity and popularity)

Both me and my husband love this place! Always a great selection of drinks with something different to try. The owners are always welcoming and remember a familiar face. We always make sure we pay TOPO a visit when we are in the area. Such a good atmosphere.

Lovely little pub. Obviously difficult in current times as its very tiny but enhanced by the outdoor seating (chilly in October!!) wife selection but often drinking the battels dry by a Sunday evening!! Very warm welcome and lovely little place.

Great little bar. We were early for our reservation at the tapas restaurant next door so popped in on the off chance. Really warm welcome and they found a table for us for the half an hour we had to spare. Really quirky place so much to look at that you might just forget to talk, in fact they don’t have Wi-fi as they actively encourage you to do just that! Great selection of drinks. Really enjoyed our visit. Great venue and service. Highly recommend a visit.

Booked a table to guarantee entryAbsolutely brilliant night good beer with a decent choice , wife drank G / tonic lots to choose from, waiter service was good never had to wait for a pint even though the place was full ,a really friendly place to spend a night will go there every night next time I go to Ingleton Well worth a visit

This amazing micro bar is a unique asset run by two amazing guys it was fantastic to visit here again, their amazing range of drinks will suite every palette and the service is exceptional I would highly recommend visiting this amazing Gem this truly does put Ingleton on the map thank you Rob & Adam for an amazing time and we cannot wait to visit again. Stayed in ingleton for long weekend, on 1st day visited the opo, Rob & Adam were so accommodating and the locals made us so welcome, it became our local for the 3 nights we were there. Highly recommend and next time in the area will be back

Splendid little microbar. The perfect finish to a walk round Ingelton Falls. Although there aren’t many tables if it’s busy there are seats outside and if it’s chilly they’ll even throw a blanket over you.

What a great find. We were staying just up the road so it was really local for us. Visited twice and always had a warm welcome. Great selection of gins and beers. The guys were very friendly and as it is so small always an opportunity for a chat with the next table. Will definitely be back if we visit this area again.

We visited here for the first time after both reading and hearing great things about this place and it did not disappoint. From the warm welcome and personal attention from the staff to the vast array of ales and spirits, this is somewhere we have on our list to visit again already (even though we live 90 miles away). The decor is both interesting and quirky, adding to an already inviting atmosphere. The size of the pub means you cannot help but chat to other visitors, who were locals upon our visit, but so friendly. The honeycomb ale is a must to try! Book a table in advance so that your not disappointed, its a popular place!!! We will be back soon and looking forward to it already.

Best spot in town without a doubt. Great service and a vast range of different beers many of which you don’t normally come across. Love the place.

I am a regular visitor of the OPO, and every time I go in the service is outstanding, quality/range of drinks is brilliant and the atmosphere is lovely. Great for a drink with family, friends or for date night! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I've visited several times now and they are always so helpful and welcoming. I like to try new drinks and they always have suitable recommendations. The added space in the garden and now out of the front of the building is fantastic and gives the village a wonderful atmosphere. It may not do meals, but I don't half like the bar snacks they've got in, especially the jalapeno nuts! 100% worth a visit.

What a wonderful paradise The OPO is. Visited and sat in their wonderful garden. Had a little button so we could request more drinks or the bill without having to go inside- someone came to us! A tranquil space with three or four small tables well spaced and an oasis of calm. Amazing beer and spirit collection, and some lovely non-alcoholic drinks too if driving. Wonderful snacks to soak up the espresso martinis too! Love coming here - a firm favourite!

Started visiting this place last year when caravaning up in the Dales. We're not locals but get made to feel like locals. The atmosphere is great and conversation is always flowing. For you Ale drinkers reading this, there's 3 Real Ales to choose from, and never 2 weeks the same. There's a selection of lagers on draught plus a large selection of craft beers and international lagers to choose from in the fridge. The hosts are always accommodating and glad to help. Strange times this Covid, but excellent social distancing measures are in place, both inside and out, with a hand sanitising station on arrival/exit.If you're ever in Ingleton you've got to give this place a try !

We spent 9 days in Ingleton in July and The Old Post Office became our second home ! Fantastic, friendly service by Rob & Adam. Great selection of beers. The beer garden at the back is a hidden gem. If you're in the area, make sure you visit.

The Old PO is a fantastic little micro bar with friendly and efficient service from the guys there. They have a huge selection of quality drinks and snacks. It might not be a restaurant but if you visit the website, it doesn't claim to be! Perfect for a leisurely drink with great products and company. Can't recommend highly enough!

The Old Post Office BEST BAR in Ingleton it is not a restaurant IT IS by far the best bar in the area. And the best bar I’ve ever been to. I holiday in Ingleton regularly and my hubby and I are made to feel welcomed not only by Adam & Rob who own the OPO but also by the lovely locals. Anyone entering the OPO as strangers definitely leave as friends. The service is friendly and professional and well organised under the Covid restrictions. The selection of drinks are Huge with a personal touch of recommendations if required from the hosts. The beer garden is stunning. The OPO is a little diamond in this beautiful village. I wish the OPO was close to home but then it wouldn’t be as special as it is when we are only there on holiday. I can’t believe a person who has never visited has been allowed to give this amazing place a poor review just because it is not a restaurant. The OPO advertises itself as a bar not a restaurant. All our friends who we have taken to the OPO agree that it is a unique place and a wonderful experience. Although ideally I’d like it to be my secret place it needs to be shared because it is so lovely.

Brilliant little bar! We stayed in Ingleton after our wedding in between christmas and new year 2019. We visited The OPO a couple of times and it was great. Really quirky decoration, small but perfectly formed, a huge selection of beer and gin (even some orchard pig for us cider lovers) and the guys were really friendly and welcoming (especially to our french bulldog). The only downfall was we didn’t visit more. Definitely will be the first place we visit next time we come!

I love The Old Post Office!! This is a truly unique and wonderful microbar situated in a cosy corner in the centre of Ingleton. Rob and Adam are so friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm athmosphere you feel when visiting the bar. The decor is so tasteful, eclectic and absolutley stunning!!!Rob and Adam source and offer a fabulous array of different / unusual craft beers, wines, gins, the list goes on....offering something other than the norm. The Old Post Office is listed on Tripadvisor under 'restaurants' which is misleading , as this is not a restaurant, ( there are plenty of eateries in Ingleton if you need to catch a bite to eat). This microbar is my absolute favouite and almost want to keep it a secret because its so fab! :) :)

Looked for the best restaurant in the area on Trip Advisor and this was rated #1. Doesn't do food. Not sure how that works? Went back to the same place we went on our last visit and was much more impressed.

We popped in today (4th July) after a walk on the first day that pubs reopened. We were a bit reticent but shouldn’t have been. The owners were super welcoming and the atmosphere was really friendly and cosy. Everything in the pub had been set up to be safe and clean, hand sanitiser on the entrance and appropriately spaced tables. There was a brilliant selection of drinks, craft beers and draught ales and lagers. We will definitely be back (hopefully in better weather to try out the garden!) thanks for being so welcoming!

We were so sad when the OPO had to close during lockdown. However, Rob and Adam quickly had online ordering and delivery set up so we were still able to enjoy our favourite beers. During lockdown they even hosted an online beer tasting event which was great fun! They really went above and beyond to make sure we all still had our lovely local at home - and their fathers day packs were great and we'll received! Can't wait for them to be open again in July :)

The Old Post Office Microbar and its fantastic owners, Rob and Adam, are a massive asset to Ingleton. I have spent many a happy time there with my husband, friends and on my own. There are a really extensive range of drinks. During lockdown it is operating as an excellent take-away/delivery service. We are massively looking forward to going back to the to the Old Post Microbar, where there is always a warm,friendly atmosphere. Rob and Adam do so much for the village - always supporting our other fabulous businesses in Ingleton too. They work so hard and The Old Post Office is so worth a visit. You'll love it.

As someone who lives close to the microbar, I've never thought to leave a review before. I knew it was a great bar, but I guess we take these things for granted. We have missed this place so much since they had to close its doors in March. The atmosphere and the people (regulars and visitors alike) and of course the lads themselves who are so welcoming, true publicans. It's the kind of place you can go on your own and feel amongst friends even when you know no one.Since closing the doors to the public though they haven't given up and have adapted, providing a takeaway collection and delivery service to the village. They have also put on online events which have helped us all stick together and keep us all sane. The guys are a fantastic asset to the local community, and we wish them all the best and would urge you that when they can open again to pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed. And if your local and wondering whether to give their takeaway service a try, it's second to none, great selection, great service, you can't lose.

The Old Post Office is the best bar in Ingleton. With a large selection of beers & gins etc and its cosy atmosphere, it's a great place to meet the locals!!!! The owners really make you feel welcome and their cocktail making is second to none. They hold music nights, celebrating local talent which, if you are in the area is one not to miss. All in all, we love this place and as soon as we can, we will be back.

The OPO has always been a fantastic to place when in Ingleton, during lockdown the guys have adapted. Not moaning at the situation they faced, they started a take-away/delivery service and to keep people smiling they have created fun videos and organised online events. Definitely a thumbs up from me

Ended up in Ingleton for the 40s weekend by accident caravanning and the old post office was recommended to us. Great selection of beers and gin great atmosphere. We’ve since booked to go to ingleton twice since but high winds and now the COVID have stopped us.... we will be back

Not a restaurant but micro bar turned temporary off licence & bottle shop offering services to the local community. As regular visitors to the area staying at Harling House, we usually visit this bar and were here just before the lockdown. The bar is a real social hub and there is a huge range of beers and sprits to be had. Hopefully when this lockdown finishes they can recapture the ambience and success they enjoyed previously. Adam and Rob are doing a great job and are real pillars of the local society and we wish them well in their ventures. All the best from Susan and Dave from Norwich.

Walked in Malham, stayed in Ingleton, blundered into the old post office. Hawian night. We were made to feel so welcome. What a great ambiance. Rob and Adam the hosts with the most.... Will be back, everything perfect, top beer, top host, top bar.....

Great bar, with a large selection of gins, rum, bottled lager and ale. Both myself and my husband have been a couple of time when visiting Ingleton and the two guys that run it have been more than welcoming every time. We will be back again in the summer, can’t wait!

If you enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere then this place is a must on your visit to Ingleton. They serve a variety of craft beers and spirits in a unique setting that gives a nod to the old post office that it once was. Cosy lounge in the rear, very welcoming guys behind the bar. Frequented by both locals, visitors and their dogs who enjoy the complimentary gravy bones. They have live music some nights as well. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

One of the best micro pubs we have visited. My partner and I visited every night on our breakaway to Ingleton, and we’ll definitely be returning. This place has a great selection of drinks and a friendly, warming, welcoming and inclusive environment. Please move to Boroughbridge ! Every town should have one ? What a find this micro pub is. 2 guys are so knowledgeable on the gins, rum ,beers etc. HUGE selection of german beers and from around the world. Closed Monday's and Tuesday's.

Had a great break in Ingleton, but the highlight was definitely The Old Post Office. A great micro-pub with fantastic real ales, Herman and Belgian beers and a good range of fins, rums and single malts. A friendly welcome from the owners. Can not recommend it highly enough.

We went here for a drink before finding somewhere to eat and were amazed by its friendly atmosphere and also the decor. Great choice of draft and bottled beers and lagers, get one and then go and drink it in the back room with a great selection of very quiet locals you have to go to get it

From walking through the door you know you are in for an excellent bar experience, looks, sounds and smells just right. That is of course if you enjoy quality drinks, good friendly company both sides of the bar, individuality, all wrapped up in a characterful small package.

This must be the most unique bar that I have visited in many a year - with a fine decor - fine selection of beverages and a fine display in the upper room. This is certainly an experience that one should not miss if resident in Ingleton - one of the smallest finest bars in our land.

This is a tremendous little bar with two rooms and a small garden to the rear. We visited in October and the decoration for haloween was fantastic. The rear room,the armoury even has a suit of armour in one corner. It really is excellent. The hosts are very friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. There are three real ales on hand pump and a tremendous collection of gin and bottled continental beer.

We didn’t eat here, although I believe they do a mean cheese board. We just sat at the window and had a couple of drinks. The guys running the place were super friendly. We loved the quirkiness of the place. It’s nicely done out.

We called in for a quick drink and stayed most of the evening. It was my aunties birthday and the two chaps who run the bar couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Everyone in the bar were so friendly and it ended up as a happy, impromptu party! Please call in, their selection of beers and drinks are plenty and varied, a wonderful little bar with lots of warmth and a welcoming atmosphere!

Adam and Rob are fabulous hosts with a great choice of beer and spirits. Really lovely modern cosy bar and beautiful beer garden out the back. Been meaning to come visit The Old Post Office for some time now, I finally made it and what a lovely addition to the village it is. The hosts are so welcoming, the knowledge of the products is brilliant. I would describe myself as feeling like a child in a sweet shop, so many drinks to choose from, many obscure ones and I was guided through the products on offer. The microbar is so quirky and its a feast on the eyes with all the antiques/decor. The atmosphere is relaxing, I recommend the armour room in the rear of the bar for a cosy feel. I will definitely return. Thank you Rob & Adam for making my visit pleasurable.

The addition of the amoury with extra seating is a great bonus, and the secret garden in drier weather is a must see. They have a nice selection of board games and Scrabble is a great addition!! My only problem is trying to decide what to drink from their great selection!

We spent a long weekend in Ingleton for some hiking. Sadly I didn't venture here until Sat night and what a delight it was.

I first visited early August with friends and straightaway you knew you were just going to love this bar, the both owners are awesome guys and really value you as customers..

Great find, after a long walk this place was the most relaxing place to find! Unfortunately our dog got stung by a wasp while in here the owners really did there best for him! Couldn’t have been nicer went out of there way to help him!
