Food is fantastic. It is always busy, sometimes too busy and feels a little hectic but the food is so understandable that everyone wants to be here.

Food choices were good but all bread for burgers contains egg!! Why do we need egg in bread? They offered me gluten free option which also contained egg. Ended up with a very hard and dry ciabata instead. Not worth the £16 for the burger!

Mother's day lunch - professional staff but not a single smile seen from any of the team. Food was cooked well but tasted bland. Men's toilet floor was slippery all over I nearly fell over. First visit here - overall nothing amazing here, which I think I was looking for. 4 stars is being generous.

Lively friendly pub, very busy on a Sunday lunchtime. Parking is tricky. Good quality food and an interesting starter menu particularly. Sea bream was highly recommended by one of our party. Thought the prawn and avocado appetiser looked a little underwhelming although I didn’t order it myself. Ice creams were excellent.

We have been here several times and never eaten anything but excellent dishes. This time it was Saturday evening and the place was absolutely full with maybe 100 diners yet they were able to produce fabulous food, well presented, in a timely manner and with top quality service. I cannot recommend this pub, and it's sister establishments, enough. I can't wait to return.

Amazing service - Holly and the whole team were so lovely to arrange for a surprise happy anniversary desert with a candle for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.

Just amazing, ordered from the light lunch menu and couldnt even finish it. Delicious bacon and brie sandwich with home made mayo on the side. Good selections of beers, larger and ales. I'll definately be back, rare to find such good value for money with fantastic food and a warm atmosphere.

We sat in the barn, an additional area not outside but not in the main house. Service was good,, and there are ambient heaters. The food on a Sunday is limited to your traditional Sunday roast and extras. £25 for starter and main. A good popular pub, in fact very popular, consider booking in advance. Food is gastro pub standard. We would love to go back.

This is a great gourmet pub in Cobham. We have been hundreds of times over the years and there is a clear reason for that. The food is wonderful, the staff are great and the service is just great.

So we get there packed o didn’t want to go there but my parents wanted to we go out side the seating was in a shed around 100 times they came and tried to give us the wrong food then we got the food wasn’t very good at all then we go back my parents wanted a drink but there was a huge line of like 50 people

Extended family long lunch. Staff did a great job trying to keep up with orders especially drinks. Lovely old World charm while on a good day you could be outside. Dog friendly. More or less kid friendly and again on a fine day there's a playground.

Our second visit for Sunday lunch and won’t be the last! Such a great location and excellent food. The atmosphere is buzzy and the staff are really helpful and efficient. The pub staff are a masterclass in hospitality. The roast chicken is fab!

Last night was the Burns night event, complete with a bagpiper to start the evening. It my birthday so with a couple friend we decided to celebrate both. We were not disappointed, the food and service was excellent, second to none and although busy staff could not have been more attentive. They even presented me with a special birthday plate with chocolates and a glass each of limoncello which made the evening very special indeed. Thank you.

Met a couple of friends today for lunch. What a fabulous time we had ! The menu choices were all so interesting that we found it difficult to choose. However all three of us chose the calves liver..one with luscious chips instead of mash.. 3 plates arrived piled high with smooth buttery mash, beautifully cooked fresh spinach, carefully cooked pile of liver topped with very good bacon and great gravy..what a feast ! I haven't been here for a while but will definitely make a point of visiting when next up from Devon..wish it was nearby down there. Prices are very fair for the quality you get. Staff were all delightful..efficient and friendly. The place was packed on a Thursday lunchtime..proof of.what a success this pub is and just goes to show what can be done with good vision and Management. Will return.as soon as I can ! The best Sunday roast in the south of England. I don't say that lightly. Sneaked the crown from the black horse in Reigate.

We were here for a large special family celebration, it was excellent. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food (understandably we'd had to pre order). Staff were great, the place was buzzy, the roast potatoes were superb (comments from family = best pub roasties ever!)

I have visited the restaurant here many times, sometimes as a couple, a six a ten and this time a party of 21 for a four-generational birthday Sunday lunch for the 90 year old patriarch. It’s a winner! The food is great, (best ever roast potatoes) the staff are very helpful, we were able to be almost a private group in the larger room, and the pre-order worked brilliantly! A special mention to Magnificent Molly – who was so thoughtful, efficient and delivered a first class professional service. Thank you Molly and everyone at The Old Plough.

Probably the best roast I have had. Had to give a mediocre mark for atmosphere as we were seated in the barn. Cold, and subjected to probably the only council people in Surrey (not us), who had the noisiest children with unruly parents!

Freezing outside with the heating automatically switching themselves off after a few minutes, which make the tepid food go cold in no time. Waiters and waitresses were over occupied and food mostly undercooked (main and dessert). I understand saving energy is essential but pleas also note we came here to have dinner in a WINTER's evening and there were kids including babies with us. Burger bap is made of cheap bread and none of the other food (Sunday roast, sea bass, pasta) stood out either. Not impressed at all.

Pub has great food, but limited space indoors. However, exterior seating is food and has plenty of warming lamps. Kids have plenty of space to run around and is dog friendly.

Lively busy gastro pub but it is too busy

We booked a table in the heated barn because the bar and restaurant were fully booked. It was too cold for me and explained to a lovely waitress. We were prepared to pay for our drinks and try and find an alternative pub. The girl was brilliant and moved us to a table in the bar. The food was awesome and very reasonably priced. Everyone made a fuss of our dog with dog treats readily available. We will definitely return. A big thank you to all the staff!!!!!!

Was at a loose end this evening and decided to come here based on the reviews. Saturday was fully booked indoors so we opted to sit outside in the barn, which was surprisingly very toasty with all the heaters on the go! Great atmosphere out there, I must say and the food and service was top notch. I don’t have one criticism and would definitely visit again.

Absolutely fantastic pub, with superb quality food. Consistently good and reasonably priced. Lovely friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. I am Coeliac and my dietary needs are always catered for with a huge choice of options. Heated barn is cosy too. Best to book well in advance as it is so popular. My favourite place to eat locally by far and we luckily can walk there!

Went here today for lunch, despite there being lots of free tables we were told to sit outside in the "heated patio" which is just a big shed with some heaters. They told us how to use the heaters but it turned out ours was broken, so we asked if we could move seats which the waitress kindly agreed to. 5 mins later she returned and told us her manager told us to move back to the freezing cold table as another customer has "specifically requested" our one!! So incredibly rude. Not exactly made to feel like a valued customer. Would not recommend. Much better options locally.

Incredibly busy when we went so they did well to do as they did but waited far too long for drinks etc. However, the food was incredible.

We have a late xmas lunch. Staff are nice and food is good despite limited vegan options. Only downside is there is no much space at the bar and if you want to have a drink before your meal (or after) you will very likely have to stand in a very crowded small area close to the entrance.

Wow wow wow, thank you so much to all the staff at the Old Plough for making me feel so comfortable and safe as a coeliac eating at your wonderful restaurant. Everyone member of staff in the restaurant was so knowledgeable of what I could and couldn’t eat and also very knowledgeable as to what coeliac disease was and how serious it can be if I consume Gluten which was extremely reassuring. Since being diagnosed with the condition I find it really hard to find new places to eat that aren’t classified as ‘coeliac accredited’ with coeliac UK so I’m thankful to you all for making this possible to have a change of scenery and menu. Probably the best meal I had in Cobham. Very nice pub. We were in a little barn in the back and the heating was inadequate.

Great pub & lovely food. Very busy so we were a bit neglected at our table. Not a big problem as we could while away the time properly catching up over great food. Delighted to have found this place. We will be back!

A proper old school English pub with a roaring fire. What's not to like? The menu was good and the food was delicious. These are the sorts of places that warm your heart and soul.

Nice meal. Wife had the Crouquette and the Schnizel, I had the haddock smoked starter and the Mackrell special. The smoked mackerel starter was the best. The Crouquete is simple and creamy. The schnizel was very nice but maybe a touch greasy. The truffle fries are a bit heavy. The Mackrell and soy noodle was a little salty for me, maybe I should have gotten something else. Service from the young ladies was very attentive and consistent/reliable. All round good night out.

We popped in for dinner on a very busy Wednesday night without booking to be found a table without any fuss and had a fantastic meal. The whole team at the old plough are terrific but the restaurant manager Lisa deserves a particular mention for her consistently welcoming professional and accommodating approach…always unfazed by anything this incredibly busy pub throws at her…outstanding!

Run by the rudest most snobby and dismissive lady I've ever come across. Rude to our whole party and parents. It was really uncomfortable. Hope ahe doesn't treat the staff the way she treats the guests.

Food is always good and is affordable despite the location which could ask for more. Needs more parking or relaxation of yellow lines outside so you can enjoy your trip without worrying about parking tickets.
