The Old Piggery Farm Shop and Tearoom in Chichester

Visited today for the first time. Nice that dogs are welcomed. Farm shop was good, if not stacked to the brim, but some nice things - munching on a lovely biscuit as I write this review! Sheepskins were lovely - as soon as I find a use for them I'll know where to come to. The tea room - lovely! A bit quirky, warm and inviting. Husband had a toffee muffin / cake, and couldn't finish it fast enough. I had a crab BLT, which was tasty, and large - I brought half home with me! Good cappuccino, comfy seating. Had a nice chat with the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. Delightful - we'll be back!

Lovely quirky farm shop and dog friendly tea rooms we have visited before. Lovely welcome. We met 2 friends on husbands birthday but a few more turned up as a surprise so we all ordered at different times which was no problem. Great crab sandwich for me and a lovely full breakfast for hubby. The cakes were amazing too. The owner kindly gave my husband a lovely gift for his birthday from the shop. Would highly recommend.

Popped to The Old Piggery for lunch on a whim as we were visiting the area and we are so glad we did! Absolutely lovely farm shop at tea room. The owner is so lovely and kind, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We are already keen to go back next time we are in the area! The crab sandwich and crab jacket potato are a must! So tasty!

We visited on a cold blustery day. Had a quick look around the shop, then entered the Tearoom. It was lovely and warm with a nice cozy atmosphere. we just had coffees today which were fine . The food did look nice. I will be paying another visit.

We booked for an afternoon tea for a Baby Shower and we have had a lovely time. The food was lovely and plenty of it, takeaway goodie bags were most welcome. The post customer care amazing and huge thanks to the staff who were so helpful.

Ordered a short shearling rug online. Fantastic delivery and excellent customer service. Rug was just what I wanted. Would highly recommend this company.

Received my 2 sheepskins today and they are absolutely beautiful! Have transformed 2 very ordinary looing chairs into something with the 'wow' factor. Great customer service (when the delivery company messed up) Resolving the issue immediately.

We took a trip down today to look at the snow globes. Having purchased a pewter salt and pepper boat for a birthday gift a couple of weeks ago (which was lovely). We arrived in time for breakfast which was fantastic - honestly the best bacon I have ever tasted. Service throughout was faultless and we left not only with the snow globe but some beautiful glass ware for Christmas gifts. A local walk was recommended so we stopped off on the way home and it was indeed a beautiful spot. Definitely be back - for gifts, for breakfast/lunch and for a wander down to the sea. Do not buy online, misleading images and terrible service.

Placed an order online, when it arrived it wasn't what I had expected, colour was wrong. Emailed them, got a poor response that i had ordered the wrong colour, emailed again with images from their website demonstrating the colour chosen. Got another terrible reply. Customer service very very poor.

Oh dear, poor and limited choice. The cake selection totalled 4 different types and were wafer thin. Overpriced not worth stopping at, should have gone on to Runcton or other local Tearooms

We visited twice over five days. Both times the food was excellent and the host ( Martin) and staff were a delight. Will return at first opportunity when visiting the area.

A good cafe limited choice but good quality. Had not been here for a few years as don't live in the area, shame the brilliant farm shop has reduced down to such a small space. But understandable. Nice they allow dogs into the cafe.

Stopped for a takeaway crab sandwich so didn't go in the tea room. Expensive but amazing quality and very generously filled. Seriously good bread. Tasty and soft. Not often that I would suggest dialling down a portion but would benefit from a bit less crab to make room for some simple salary - iceberg lettuce perhaps. But this place is a find and sells a variety of quality products in a pleasantly eccentric setting ........

It's was our first time here for me and the wife. It was a gift for my wife for afternoon tea for two plus our two dogs. The place was very clean, the owner and staff were very lovely and made our afternoon very special, so thank you for that. Wow, the sandwiches and cakes are very, very nice. We went to this absolute gem for afternoon tea. It was delightful. The food was great the service superb and we were made so welcome including our dogs. Would recommend 100% you won't regret it.

I recently visited the Old Piggery Farm shop and tea rooms in Selsey and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely scrumptious, especially the crab sandwich and the chilli jacket potato. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. But what really blew me away was the selection of ice cream. Bella's Gelato ice cream was available and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. And if that wasn't enough, they even had Lenny & Ralph doggy ice cream for our furry friends. The shop itself was a treasure trove of unique gifts, making it the perfect place for a leisurely browse. Well done to the team at the Old Piggery Farm shop and tea rooms for creating such a fantastic establishment.

The farm shop is full of local produce and great for a look around, the staff are very friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere. Really looking forward to trying an Afternoon tea next time which I have heard so much about! Will most certainly be returning!

Nice place but £33 for 2 crab sandwiches and tea for two was steep.

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Just under £14 for the crab sandwich, crisps and a small salad. £3 for a glass of homemade lemonade. Place was popular. Plenty of parking outside. Farm shop attached with dressed crab for £8.99.

Sadly gone down hill since the butchers came out of it .not been there 4 4 years. Prices very high no fresh bread or cakes was gutted

Had one meal and my lady had a tea cake and it was clean nicely presented and fresh the staff were very nice too and looked smart very interesting with nice gifts

We came here for my mums 60th for brunch and I brought my two dogs one who can be nervous and the staff gave him space and fuss when he was settled along with some treats. We had a lovely lunch and they even gifted my mum a lovely mug for her birthday. The atmosphere was very chilled and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Luke warm weak expensive coffee. Mint tea made with with two mint leaves! Both were over-priced. What not be going back.

Had the most fantastic crab sandwiches with a lovely fresh salad and a mountain of super crunchy crisps with a pot of good, strong, loose leaf tea - even the dog was given some treats too.A great find. Absolutely brilliant! Lovely place to sit down + dog friendly too! The people running/working here are lovely and went out of their way to check the food for my allergy as well as alternative milk for my mum. Quality food at quality price. 100% recommend. Very kind and friendly + looking forward to being able to visit again!

I am becoming a bit of a regular here! The crab sandwiches are outstanding! Bit pricey but worth it! Friendly service! The little farm shop is lovely, I always get a bag of pork scratching as they’re very tasty! They are dog friendly here!

Sadly I won't be going again. We arrived just before 3.30 to find the cafe closed. The Trip Advisor says it is open until 4.30 and their website says 3.30 in one place and 4 pm in another. I had been told that their hours are erratic. The cafe open sign was still prominently displayed outside, as it was when we went past again after 5 pm. I had arranged to meet friends there so it was not just disappointing but inconvenient. What a shame. The owner (?) said they closed early because it was so quiet. I wonder why!! This could be a successful business if it was better run. It gives me no pleasure to send a bad review. I would have been a regular visitor.

It was ok, it looked more coffee shop than farm shop, not much produce for a farm shop

Overpriced, and distinctly average crab sandwiches. Tried a variety of local cafes and restaurants and theirs was by far the worst and yet also the most expensive. Rather than accept my review they then responded with a copy & paste of a positive review. Google Maps already shows the full range of reviews so it seems a churlish method of invalidating my opinion. I trust they’ll respond to positive reviews with copies of negative ones in order to maintain balance. I was willing to believe it was a one-off bad meal but if this is management’s response to feedback, I suspect it’s not worth returning.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea for Mothers Day, delicious sandwiches, scones & cakes. Lovely gesture giving mum a pretty potted rose, so thoughtful from the owner & staff - who are all so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Definitely recommend and we will be returning soon.

Lovely little farm shop and tea room. Delicious crab sandwich, modified the ploumans to suit a vegetarian, which was A-maz-ing. Also sorted out a dairy free kiddies option for my milk intolerant boy. Will return!!

We happened on this place by chance. What a find! Crab sandwiches advertised outside which was why we decided to stop. Unfortunately, we arrived quite late in the day and the Chef had gone home. However, another customer had just finished hers and she highly recommended it! Martin was very apologetic and he could not have been nicer. The farm shop has all the usual plus lots of unusual impulse buys. Would recommend and we will be back for the Crab Sandwiches!

Always a go to place for me to meet up with friends for lunch and being able to take our dogs which is a bonus. Recently the menu has changed hopefully just for the winter/Christmas period. My go to favourite of toasted Brie and Bacon Panini is no more ☹️ please bring it back its such a winner amongst many friends I know.

Lovely food, but it was cold Barns are difficult to heat but it would have been nicer if I had have been warm.

Popped down for a look around, treated ourselves to Tea, Crab Sandwich, Leek & Potato Soup and brought some stunning fruit cake to have later. In the shop we brought some Christmas jams and pickles, oils for burners & candles for gifts. Will definitely return very soon. We feel we have had a lovely trip out. Thank you, see you soon. Sue

The shop was lovely with all kinds of cute things to buy. The highlight of this trip was that Mick Jagger was in the toilet!!! Brilliant!

Pleasant enough food. But it’s got the ambience of a garden centre cafe, so the total cost of £22 for a bowl of soup and a crab sandwich felt wildly overpriced.

Very disappointed a farm shop you expect to fine ham or meat for sale the last time I went in I had some lovely ham but they frozen food not what wanted fresh is better

Amazing afternoon tea with my friend. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was devine.

Soup was very nice Crab sandwich was not white crab meat as said on there web page although it doesn't say it on there menu but £13 for a sandwich is a bit much. Nice bits in the shop but the entrance into the piggery itself could be much more inviting , shame was looking forward to trying this place out as it looked very nice on there FB page etc but not so exciting once your there.

I wouldn't call this place a FARM SHOP ANYMORE. It's become an over priced High End Gift Shop. The Food on the Menu is Extremely Overpriced especially for where this place is sited.

Working round the corner and saw a sign for crab sandwich,so popped in the shop has lots of lovely things and fresh produce,and the crab sandwich was superb

We found this place by fluke so drove from Portsmouth to come for a visit. The shop had a lot of lovely local produce with plenty of little bits to buy. We stopped into the cafe which was nice and clean but with slightly limited seating. The staff were great and the place was very clean. We had a sandwich which was very well presented, tatse great and I was impressed with the extra touch of a side salad and some crisps. Coffee was good to.

Their Crab sandwiches are great. Think the size of the sandwich Would do a pair of you. Think next time will have just the one and split it. It comes with a bowl of salad and chips included for each.

Visited for a Cream Tea, lovely Tea Rooms and Cream Teas were amazing, a generous serving of clotted cream (not just your normal little tub), really tasty warm scone and even some fresh strawberries to the side. Generous pots of tea. We had our dog with us and he was made very welcome. Though we didn't try them as we were already full will our Cream Teas the Crab Sandwiches looked amazing. Nice little Farm Shop attached as well. Will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Came as a group of 6 to the Tearooms for afternoon tea! Service was brilliant and food was very tasty! Although we stuck to afternoon tea, the full menu also looked appetising! Will be returning! Only downside was there was quite a few flies and one staff member was spraying fly spray when people were eating, although the weather was hot so probably more flies than usual!

Helpful staff and very friendly lady went out of her way as we had allergies and she had a big book and read though to make sure it was safe for us to eat .definitely recommend to anyone who in the area. Lots of homemade cakes. And lovely shop too reasonable price

Really good shop, lots of lovely food and drink. There is also a great range of different things, ornaments, gifts etc. the pork scratchings are fabulous.
