The Old Mill Inn in Perth & Kinross

Had an excellent 2 night stay here. All the staff were great. Helpful and courteous. Would stop for a chat if they had the time. We had a large room with 4 windows, a comfy bed and a nice en-suite bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, as well as a flat screen TV and hairdryer. Just off the main street, so not far from bars and restaurants if you want to venture out, Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Myself and my husband had a wonderful few days in Pitlochry staying at The Old Mill. We stay a couple of times a year and never fail to be impressed. The rooms are beautifully clean and well equipped, food (whether it be breakfast or main meals) is delicious and the staff are by far the friendliest you’ll find. We’re already booked in for our next stay at the end of the year, a time when the Old Mill is even more picture perfect.

This was bought for us as a Christmas present. Having had not a good experience the evening before at a different hotel. From start to finish the Mill Inn staff were very welcoming. The bedroom was truly amazing and very clean. The meal was also very good but above all the professionalism of all the staff. In fact I congratulated the South African manager. I spent most of my working life in hospitality and was totally impressed by the intense training that the staff must have had.

We enjoyed two nights at The Old Mill Inn. We were in a deluxe room which was lovely. The breakfasts, cooked to order and we had dinner there both nights. The food was excellent. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel.

The facilities were first class. Room was spotless, extremely comfortable, everything was perfect. Staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was excellent, service was second to none. We will certainly be back for a weekend break to experience the live music on a Saturday night.

The old mill inn is located just off the Main Street through Pitlochry! Location is beautiful. The food was delicious although quite expensive. I’d return for a special occasion, great service too.

The food was nice enough, nothing wow and quite overpriced, as were the drinks. Staff were nice enough but the manager on shift was quite rude telling us we'd need to move to a smaller table if a larger group came in. Okay, that's understandable but it wasn't communicated in a nice manner. Also when we asked to have a look at the drinks menu her response was that it doesn't have all the drinks on it. Such a strange way to talk to customers. We'd planned to stay all night for drinks after our meal but decided to head elsewhere as it wasn't very welcoming. Seems a bit overrated for an average bar/restaurant.

We ate dinner at the Old Mill inn. The food was very good. A little on the pricey side for some of the portions given. My wife had the fish special which was salmon and the amount served was quite small.They also use boil in the bag rice quite openly as they dish the food up in full view. Nevertheless the food was tasty with a good wine selection on offer.They also have locally brewed beer as I had the old mill inn lager and it was very nice. Probably the best meal we have had in Pitlochry with this being our 3rd visit.

What a lovely trip to pitlochry and the old mill inn. From the moment we arrived to to the moment we left! Staff were just lovely. Shown to our room, not had that in years!!! Not sure where to start but what an absolutely amazing place we had lunch / dinner and evening drinks here so as soon as you walk in you get a lovely warm welcome from the staff all are very helpfull and friendly a lovely selection of your familiar beers and spirits and some amazing local craft beers which needs to be tried as well. The food is just as to be expected presentation and food quality was just fantastic locally sourced and a very high standard was very impressed on every trip. Lovely mother & daughter weekend away to Pitlochry and stayed for 2 nights at the Old Mill Inn. The room was beautiful with everything we needed, including hairdryer, iron, tea making facilities and we loved that there was bottled water which was topped up throughout our stay. The room was decorated beautifully with a bathroom to match. The shower was great and lovely local products to use (which we went on to buy at the Highland Soap Co Shop). The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Old Mill and as a Gluten Free Vegetarian and Vegan we were well catered for. Live music at the bar on every Friday & Saturday night. Local people were so friendly and chatty, recommending walks and local things to do. Would definitely return! 😊

What an absolutely amazing place to have lunch or dinner as soon as you walk in you get a lovely warm welcome from the staff all are very helpfull and friendly a lovely selection of your familiar beers and spirits and some amazing local craft beers and the food it just amazing had both lunch and dinner and was very impressed on every trip. Can’t say enough good things about The Old Mill Inn. Our first time in Pitlochry, and in the middle of winter! Took a train from London & the Inn was a very short walk from the Pitlochry station where a warm welcome awaited us. The rooms were immaculate & large. We had dinner there twice and it clearly is the best restaurant in town - food & service. The bar & sitting area is great with a terrific selection of whisky and good local music on the weekend. If you want to stay in town, this is the place for you.

Enjoyed a superbly enjoyable tasty supper there. The chefs really know what they are doing. I had pork and it was beautifully prepared, cooked and served. Thoroughly recommend the pork belly.
