What can you say apart from a first rate service from the staff who attended to our every need and very swift to accommodate us a host who greeted us with open arms and warmth and our Christmas dinner that was absolutely Devine cooked to perfection and extremely enjoyable I’m glad we chose the odd house for our Christmas dinner thank you Craig and your wonderful team

Had a fabulous meal cooked by the chef Jamie and staff were very polite and professional and the service was second to none

Stayed at the campsite next door and was made to feel welcome immediately by the locals and house team, Ben's kitchen serve wonderful food and must add their Guinness was as good as you can get will DEFINITELY RETURN

Really lovely meal, in a safe environment in this mad world and with the most delicious pudding ! Ps I recommend the burger 🍔!!

The food served here is absolutely brilliant although the pub should really thank the chef, Ben's Kitchen, for that. It's a pity that the pub itself can't learn a bit from Ben in regards to the quality of service and product provided. On arrival, we ordered drinks, as after all, that's one of the main purposes for a pub. The drink's had to be ordered by text message, which we did so once decided on our choices. Around 5 minutes later, i received a reply to my text message stating that the gin we had ordered was not available. Now that's fine if you want to sit on your phone at the table all night texting the bar man, however i prefer to be social when out with family so did not see the barman's reply for around 15 minutes when i checked my phone to make sure my original message had actually sent. 45 minutes later, and after the 4th time of chasing, our flat lager and boring, lackluster gins arrived. No fruit, not decoration, no garnish, just the Gin and 2 ice cubes...Very poor considering the price you pay. When it came to complaining about the service, we were approached by a waitress who resembled Gimli in both appearance and attitude. The Waitress then fetched the Landlord to the table. I was quite surprised to see that the landlord was actually the same person who had spent the night smoking with a group of young boys at one of the other tables. (worrying i know). The landlord, who resembles a poor replica of Noel Gallagher, was rude and offered us £1 off of the bill. Absolutely no quality of service, nor any Covid restrictions in place. Ben's Kitchen is wasted here.

There is a very acceptable one way system in place , hand sanitizers all over , no one served before track and trace book has been signed with relevant information, one area where ‘bubbles’ of no more than 6 can be together , plenty of other seating , large garden with benches safely distanced , friendly staff , good atmosphere, lovely place

Shocking lack of Covid restrictions with people leaning and drinking at the bar and no social distancing.

I Came down from yorkshire to visit my family at the weekend . We Went here for a sunday lunch what a treat. Food was great, with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Social distancing adhered to, one way system and track and trace all in place. A lot of new staff since I last came down last, and all very friendly and helpful. Locals welcoming and helpful. It has been a very difficult year due to lock down, and this lovely couple have worked so hard to make this pub work in such difficult times. Well done.

Nipped in for a couple of drinks, was welcomed with a warm welcome and bright smile! Lovely staff and quick service, felt safe regarding corona virus, often cleaning of tables and one way system measures avoiding close contact with others. Social distancing was adhered to you yet there was a fun atmosphere! Will defo be returning !

Couldn’t recommend this place more! We went for a lovely evening meal, which included some amazing pizzas that were great value for money. It was a brilliant atmosphere unlike some restaurants at the minute, all whilst keeping Covid safe with hand sanitisers, an efficient one way system and track and trace. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming and the landlord has done a great job adjusting to the new ways of life!

A large group of us went to The Odd House last night. We hired out their skittle alley & had a meal. The food was very reasonably priced, good hearty food and the staff there couldn't have done enough to help. We look forward to coming here again.

Dropped our son in Burton and did a quick local search for a pub for lunch on our route back to Birmingham. What a find! Carvery was plentiful, delicious and served with a smile. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a tasty lunch in a friendly place. Has a good sized car park too which is great as you need a car to get here.

We were in the area and called into this recently improved Country pub. The food was great quality with a vast selection of vegetables for a carvery. Quality ales and wine. We were extremely impressed by the beautiful, tasty food and friendly service. We will return at the earliest opportunity. A real gem. I believe there will soon be entertainment, there are rooms available. Ideal. See you there.....

Hemos estado a través de la casa rara en unas cuantas ocasiones y nunca he tenido una mala época. Una gran relación calidad-precio tanto para cerveza y comida. Es un pub administrado por una familia que abastecen a todo el mundo y se nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos por todo el mundo, desde el personal de los lugareños. La comida es el hogar de calidad cocinados y lo mejor es propio hogar hizo patatas fritas congeladas no basura! Tienen noches temáticas y música en vivo. Fui allí para el día de la madre, y lo pasamos muy bien, la comida era servicio de camareros para entrantes y postres y carvary para comida principal, todo era casera y muy bueno e incluso mejor a un precio muy razonable. Nos sentamos en la zona de bar después de bebidas y café, día precioso. También me gustaría decir que fuimos con mi 95 años el abuelo y fue completamente silla de ruedas amable.

Firstly, the meat portions were tight, the cauliflower was raw, the cheese 'board' came out on a side plate with half a pound of cheese but only 5 small biscuits!! none of the staff have any kind of uniform so you do not know who actually works there and who doesn't!! In particular one member of staff has dreadlocks which were all over the place, most of the waitresses had long hair which wasn't tied back, this is not right when they are preparing starters and desserts which would explain why two of our party found hairs in the food.... drinks came out with no ice and glasses warm!! and 230pm finish for a Sunday carvery is daft, should be 4pm like other places...

my family called at the odd house we had two children and usually when you go anywhere with children you are on tender hooks but not there they have a childrens play room and the kids loved it the food was great and we didnt feel on tender hooks they made a bit of a mess but we got told not to worry .. we found the staff to be very friendly so my advice is try it yourself especially if you have children.

Strange room wth no atmosphere, menu sounded nice but food really didn't match up. Some dishes were ok but my lamb was dried up and tasteless. Service was very good tho. Shame - won't be going back any time soon.

La comida era muy mala relación calidad-precio. comidas para niños pobres. Pedimos pescado dedo un fichas para los niños y estaban hambrientos después de comer pescado 2 dedos y aproximadamente 8 patatas fritas. porciones de adulto pequeño y caro. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados, ya que hemos estado varias veces antes y estaban muy contentos con calidad y servicio. El personal esta visita que parecía no importarles si estaban satisfechos o no.

Visited The Odd House in a party of 34 for Sunday Lunch. Booked prior to going. Purpose of visit was the end of a camping get together weekend nearby. This is the third year we have visited here. Food was lovely. Sunday carvery is second to none. The service is excellent and all staff very polite and helpful. Unfortunately I was ill so unable to eat but everyone else totally enjoyed it. A lovely choice of desserts - something for everyone. Small childrens menu but again suitable for our needs. Children could also have carvery. On our visit cost of carvery was £7.95 for adults and £5.50 for children - very fairly priced with a very good choice. We will be visiting again.

Lots of the dishes were not available. Starter was barely warm and the reheating(microwave?) made it inedible. Gammon steak was very thin and dry and veg and chips were overcooked. Didn't even attempt dessert. Asked if we wanted coffee., we said that we'd take it in the bar as we were last in restaurant and they would be able to clearaway.
