The Oak Tree in Richmondshire

My husband and I used to meet here when we courted 49 years ago. We loved the atmosphere, the fire and it was our go to pub. So nice to know its still open.

The owners have ruined this one-time brilliant pub. No kids allowed No pets No phones No talking loudly. The pub is in a brilliant location with a large beer garden to the rear. The pub is now closed due to a lack of interest due to how strict the above rules are.

Brewery need to support new owners and bring the pub into the 21st century. Currently no phones, dogs or children allowed.

A great little pub, a very good pint, the landlord was cheerful enough. The brewery needs to invest some money into this pub and allow it to modernise as they know its potential.

When I saw this I was expecting to see an actual tree but instead all I saw was a pub.

Beers nice and cheap and everyone's very friendly

A cosy and traditional pub with a friendly atmosphere and a good landlord. It has a nice beer garden tucked away round the back. Sadly food is not available here.

Not allowed to comment as devices are banned in Sam Smiths pubs with the exception of the one that tracked my mobile!

Most welcoming staff and atmosphere in a nice village location. XLNT prices and good range of excellent well kept beers. Have not visited before but will visit again.

The epitome of a rural country pub. Lovely staff, low ceilings, warm fires and very well priced... well everything.

Lovely old fashioned village pub, very friendly, lots going on, no piped music and no games machines. Fantastic!!

Just like being at home, warm and friendly

Staff are friendly and make me feel welcome, the Sunday lunch is delicious and perfect portion size. Definitely will recommend for food and drinks. Ideal place to take the family. Regular food menu is also spot on, previously tried the steak pie and can't fault the food nor the service that it came with. 5/5.

Great home cooked Sunday lunch. Also do bar meals. If you want a quiet drink or meal then this is the place to go. Friendly staff and locals.
