Actually had a delivery for one of the staff members and thought I might aswell get a bite to eat whilst i’m there. All the staff were lovely and the pork pie was amazing

Excellent value for proper homemade food. Well worth a try on your next visit to Richmond Pork pies to die for.

This place occupies a site on the corner of the square on the main road through it, from the outside it doesnt look much but go inside and a veritable aladdins cave of pies and snacks of all descriptions and they are top of the class for taste and flavour besides being reasonably priced. We stayed in the area for a week and most days filled up here. The Steak Mince, Mince and Onions plus Pork Pies all went down a treat and they have a selection of cold meats and some take away snacks and meals. Not to be missed but word of caution, maybe not for slimmers !!!!!

This place is amazing! Me and my family have had a full takeaway roast dinner today. It was fantastic and as we were sitting on a bench eating it, other people were drawn in by how amazing it looked and asked us where we got this roast dinner. I bought half the shop and it was very reasonably priced! The roast dinner photo does not do it justice.

If you fancy a pie all types. Hot or cold. Quiche. tarts. Hot food. Meats etc excellent service food and value. My favourite. pork pie straight from the oven mmm delicious. You will be back.

These people know their stuff. We bought pies, cold cuts and cole slaw from them and everything was top notch. Don't miss it.

Popped in here late on a Saturday afternoon to get something for Sunday lunch. Most of the cold pies were gone as it was late, so bought the last large mince and onion pie. Heated up for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious, husband had seconds. I’m not normally a particular fan of meat pies but these are delicious

While staying locally we decided to try the corn beef slice for lunch as something we could take on our walk and eat later. It didn't have much corned beef flavour, it was more of a potato slice. As packed lunch options in Richmond seemed rather limited we did try the pork pies the following day which were quite delicious.

Homemade pies. Bought the pork and apple and the corned beef and potato slice. Very very tasty. Would recommend

I have been eating Taylors pies since I was in short trousers during World War 2. My Mam would send me to Skinnergate in Darlington to get 5 pies and instructed me to hold them level so as not to spill the juices. The pies were delicious and I am pleased to say that they are still the best around. It wqas great to see a branch open in Richmond as we live just a couple of miles away. The other products such as haslett, ham and scotch eggs are also top quality. Thank you Taylors for reviving my fond memories.

Stopped here whilst we toured Richmond, plenty of choices, very tasty, took our food to the castle and ate whilst taking in the views.

This shop has the best pies and quiches in the area! The cooked meats, especially the ham, is also very good.

Steak and gravy pie looked all over for the steak found a big chunk of gristle and a little gravy what a let down.

This place is no Gregg’s. Pies are of the artisan variety, full of filling & delicious, crusty pastry. I had a steak bake which was amazing.

Get here early to enjoy the full experience!we were running very late and just managed to get some warmish pies. My steak bake was packed full of meat and tasty. My wife's meat and potato pie was a little short on meat though which she found disappointing.

We had had a hearty breakfast and were going out for an evening meal so the suggestion to have just a pork pie to put us on was an excellent suggestion as we passed the shop and saw and smelt their pies.

Steak Bake is full of meat and reasonable priced . Very Nice. All the pies looked good just look through the window and drool.

After an overnight stay in Wensleydale we stopped off in Richmond as my wife had heard about The Noted Pie shop and we were not disappointed. The range of pies and other goodies is quite something and the quality is outstanding. We bought pork pies topped with apple which were absolutely delicious and enjoyed corned beef slices for lunch the following day.

Great selection of pies and savoury delights.Never go anywhere else now. Even has a selection of hot snacks to satisfy anyones tastes.

Often pop in for a quiche or pork pie. These are always very good. Try the Bacon & Mushroom quiche, and warm in slightly when you get home to release those flavours!!!

having driven across form the North West for the day we thought we'd load up with goodies to take home. A couple of scotch eggs, large pork pie and 4 small curried chicken pies later we still had a decent amount of change from a tenner. Sampled the scotch eggs and curried chicken pie so far and all excellent. The take out filled yorkshire pudding also liked great and a bargain so we will be back

Everything but everything in this shop is first class from quiches to pies to meat filled buns! Samples on the counter, too!

Visited on the 18 August and sampled the tatty ash slices ,pork pie and the Yorkshire pudding with pork gravy and peas .. really really tasty pies and the Yorkshire pud dinner hit the spot.... faultless , could just do with a mail order scheme ,..!!!

Couldn't resist popping in to buy a couple of quiches: Pork and Cranberry and Apple and Pork. We had to queue for a short while (obviously very popular) but this just allowed me to look at all the pies/quiches on offer. Pies were delicious and just what was needed for supper.

Popped in and bought steak and gravy pie and ham, egg and tomato quiche whilst on a break nearby. Both were very nice . Will be calling again for more to take home before we leave. Well worth a visit.

We stopped to pick up pies of various types on several occasions, and they were all very good. It's too small for eating in, but we took our purchases to the benches in the market square for a picnic.

It should be "noted", not just the pies are good here, I had one of the specials for takeout, blew me away it did, giant yorkshire pudding, filled with 6 slices of roast beef, mini roast potatoes, mushy peas and gravy, sat out on the many seating areas, an absolute steal at £2.35, very impressed, and the staff member was nice too, all cutlery, napkins and a good choice of sauces provided too.

Fabulous Pies. We bought pies for supper and steak slice for lunch. All of which were delicious. It’s a very busy shop so obviously very popular and rightly so. Friendly service. All good.

It is impossible for me to pass a pie shop! Well, a Noted pie shop anyway. I’d checked the contents of the window out a couple of times and when it was time for us to go, I went in to purchase a few ‘goodies’ to take home. I’d bought a large pork pie, corned beef slice and some dinky ‘two bite’ chicken curry pies. Everything was delicious. The two bite curry chicken pies were took to work and the office wolves demolished 3 packets! Richmond is a great North Yorkshire town and we will return next time we are south. We’ll also return to the Noted Pie Shop and purchase fresh, tasty morsels.

Worth queuing for these pies and pasties. Very tasty and good value with a very wide selection of fillings.

Called in the shop this morning, I ordered a large sausage and egg with plain sausage which she got right, I was surprised at this as they have messed are sandwiches up several times before as the sausages are all mixed together and they don’t know the difference even though some have green herbs showing so today she put two sausages and cut them in half so I asked the lady worker if that was a large, she replied with attitude yes even though we have been going in there for months and always got more meat items for large so I don’t know why today was so different and my work colleague asked for a large bacon and plain sausage and he noticed the green herbs in the 2 sausages she put on the bread so he asked her if they were plain and she replied with attitude yes they are. So we left it at that and got in the van and he had Cumberland sausage which he hates so totally ruined are breakfast thanks to the incompetent worker.

As the name implies, this is a "pie shop" with lots of selection: sweet pies, savory pies, quiches. All laid out in an orderly fashion with labels. Very pleasant, helpful staff and good tasting food.. Happened to be in there when they just came out of the oven so piping hot. Not sure if they will heat ones that have become cold. The variety is impressive.

Little gem in the Market Square, ideal for Pork pie, sausage roll, steak or Meat n’ potato pies. You will not be disappointed.

What a find! Every place should have a wonderful independent firm like this. On the edge of the market place, the window full of delectable pies, so obviously not mass produced products. This place alone would make a further visit to Richmond a must!

Cheryl was unusually hungry and spotted this place and really fancied the pie mans wares so to speak. We both ordered the open top pork and stuffing pies. We had them cold, and I think they would have been better warm as they lacked taste a bit like cheese when you first eat it straight from the fridge.

We visited Richmond on our way down from Alnwick to Lancashire.I always buy a pork pie on my trips to compare and without doubt this was the best I have ever tasted.Lovely meat and pastry.We also bought lamb steaks which were reasonably priced and look great.I am sure they will be delicious too.Well worth a visit.

when I'm down in this part of the region I fell like it would-be rude NOT to make a purchase involving several pies and a sandwich, the sandwich is for my lunch and the pies are for distribution amongst my work colleagues when I get back to the office. All villages need a pie shop as good as this one.

This is an offshoot of their shop in Darlington which always has a queue outside. This is a smaller outlet but is very popular with the locals. Their own pies of various fillings plus sandwiches makes this a good place to buy lunch.

These pies were so good!! The chicken and mushroom was delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed his steak and gravy one too. The staff were really nice and friendly, and just to mention there was a 50p extra charge if you pay by card! Overall great place and delicious pies, will go here again on our trip!

Coming from the People's Republic of Wigan we like to think we know our pies, but these were on anther level - Olly's Chicken and Leek, Harriet's Steak and Gravy, and my Meat and Potato were all of the highest quality. Fantastic pastry, great filling, and only around £1.20 per pie. Highly recommended.

Now that they have a branch in Richmond, close to where we now live, I can easily access the noted pie shop. Apart from excellent pies Taylors also sell really good cooked meats such as haslett etc. Well worth a try, I love it.The ladies who work behind the counter are very friendly and efficient, it is a joy to go there.This talk of pies is making me a bit peckish ! Think I'll pop into Richmond for a treat.

I literally cannot go to Richmond without getting a hot sandwich from this shop roast pork apple sauce and gravy . Try it you will be hooked. There selection of pastries are a lot better than the local big brand high street baker. A lovely shop with lovely staff.

Another place that could do damage to your waistline if you go in too hungry. Beautifully laid out and everything neatly marked as to what it is. About every kind of pie you could want. Meat pies, fruit pies, quiche, big pies, little pies, medium pies. All freshly made daily. Today we bought a beautiful rhubarb pie. Tomorrow, who knows. Whatever it is,I am certain it will be delicious. Friendly, helpful staff too.

We visited this store this weekend in Richmond, the place is quaint very old world the staff were very friendly. We purchased some pies to take away the Corned Beef slice and the Pork & Black pudding pork pies. They were amazing great value would visit again in a flash keep it up folks.

Was visiting Richmond at weekend and saw the shop popped in for a quick snack and went for the curry pie honestly think it was the best pie I've ever had shared it with my son and we both wanted more it was so fresh and unique you have to try this shop

Saw reviews and thought worth a try as I was in Richmond. Only tried the Pork And Apple pie so far, but the best Pork Pie I have ever tasted.

We just grabbed a mince pie, sausage roll & cheese and onion pasty for a quick lunchtime snack.All were really nice, but I'd have liked to have seen more mince in the pie. Its good to support the local establishments like this rather than the national chains, even if they are slightly more expensive. The shop was full, and nice polite service.

I take pork pies all over Briton for friend who have visited this little shop in Richmond I take them for one lads all the way from northern Ireland.

Oh my gosh Is all I can start with! I'm not a pork pie fan at all,not keen on the jelly texture and cold meat but had a bite of my husbands as it looked rather good and wow amazing ! Gorgeous pastry with warm filling no jelly like there is normally and so tasty! Really impressed

I came up from London to Richmond last week on a course and one morning popped into The Noted Pie shop after having looked in the window at their amazing products for a couple of days. I went in for a sausage in a bap as I figured being a family butchers it must be better than the Greggs a few doors away, Indeed it was. Lovely sausages! One morning I went in their and decided to grab some of their individual pork pies for myself and other people on my course. They were absolutely amazing! So much so that when I left to go back to London my case was about half a stone heavier than when I'd arrived with a combination of a couple of family sized pork pies and 4 individual ones lol. I'll definitely have to revisit Richmond and visit The Noted Pie Shop again.
