Really, really disappointing food - poor quality and vastly overpriced. £14.85 for a small bowl of soup and 4 small sandwiches is ridiculous. Soup tasted shop bought and prawns had clearly just been defrosted. Staff were attentive and food served quickly. Nice atmosphere. Badly let down by food quality and price.

The pub was quiet as it was just before Christmas and we got a place to sit right away. Food came quickly but was average in taste. The meat was overcooked and the chips were greasy. We also had the soup which was tasty but with a small piece of wheaten bread so was expensive. The kids meal had the biggest plate of chips and seemed to be enjoyed. Definitely feel that it was expensive for what we received. Interestingly they asked us how was the meal and we said average and they just took our plates.

Ate here for a stop on a tour. I was leery as most of the time restaurant recommendations on tours I don't trust. I was very wrong on this one. The pub was airy, the food excellent and the Irish coffee hit the spot. I had the fish and chips and was pleased. Service was excellent considering the high volume they were handling. Price considering location at a major tourist spot was reasonable.

Meals were poor quality, small and very overpriced. Service was good and quick and staff were nice. I had a sandwich which was made from cheap ingredients and not seasoned. The side salad was not fresh and the leaves were limp and wilted. The crisps on the side were also stale. Others meals were also poor.

Not only is this place adorable and in a beautiful location, but the food and service were amazing as well! Some of the best food I've had all week in Ireland and you will not leave hungry. Sure, they are busy being right off the Causeway but are completely worth the wait. We were on a bus tour and had plenty of time to eat here and walk both blue and red route.

Pleasant entrance to the establishment with a warm fire going. The bar is very large and you would expect to be able to buy a drink. Nah, you have to queue with everyone else to place your order with one person on a till in the far corner! We both had the Irish stew with soda bread. I can honestly say it was a good size portion and there was plenty of meat for the veg/potato and was very tasty and well seasoned, even had to pull out a bay leaf...... The soda bread was defrosted recently as the middle was very cold. Definitely not fresh baked. The other food being delivered looked plentiful and well presented. NB Yes its pricey, yes the staff are miserable and don't know what customer service is about. Lets be honest, its at a very busy site (Giants Causeway) so its a cash cow for the owners who wouldn't care about service (even if they knew what it was). If you want service and value for money, go elsewhere.

We called in here on Monday, the place was so busy, came in the door staff informed us to get a table, what specials where on that day, they where on a blackboard above a lovely fireplace, they then told us when we where ready to order to join the queue, we then placed our order at the bar, we had someone with us with a dairy allergy, the staff explained what we could have on the menu, I asked if the Irish stew had and dairy in it, the girl was unsure so asked the chef, which was great peace of mind, we had a great meal although expensive, and no alternative milk, but what stood out the most was the service and how well the staff deal with the amount of customers, reading some of the reviews, my exceptions where not high at all, but the service the staff provided was great, the women and man behind the bar, had a great knowledge of the local whiskeys informing us of which one they would recommend, and the different barrels they are aged in, it was great as we missed the distillery on our short visit to bushmills.

Having read the previous review regarding service on 7th September I felt compelled to review. What a load of tripe! Some people need to give their heads a wobble!! I was attending meetings on Friday in The Nook and this quite literally did not happen. We were at a table opposite the bar and the staff were courteous, attentive and friendly. All my colleagues passed comment on the Nook team and how they rarely see customer service to the standard given by the girls and guys here. The food was tasty, served efficiently and with a smile. Top class staff!

My family had lunch here after a hike to the Giant's Causeway. The place was busy with tourists, but service was quick and attentive. The atmosphere was excellent and frankly better than the food, which was good, not great. But it was perfect for us after a long hike and hit the spot. I had seafood chowder, which was good. The highlight was probably the fresh berry scone we took to go. My wife and daughter devoured it, so it must have been good.

Was there either a tour bus day trip. Placed an order for their famous Irish stew and the Steak and Guinness pie. After about 30 minutes of waiting a staff member came and said they ran out of stew and what did we want to replace it with. It had already been a long while so my sister asked for the fish and chips. After another 30 minutes I went to inquire about the order b/c it had been an hour and we wanted to take the long walk down to the cliffs. The lady that appeared to be a manger was coming out with a plate she said it was ours. It wasn't what I thought fish and chips was supposed to be. I asked about table 3 and said it been an hour since we ordered. She was rude and something about yeah fish and chips, I looked at it funny and she said "or I can refund your money". Of course we were hungry and I told her we did need to eat. She put the plate down and returned with another "fish and chips", mind you I ordered the Steak and Guinness pie. At that point I handed her my card and asked for a refund. She brought me cash back. We could not do the long walk down and only went close enough to get good "zoomed in" pics so we didn't miss our bus. Very frustrating! Very poor management, customer service, and the fish that was served was not very good.

Terrible experience. Went to visit the amazing Giants Causeway World heritage Site on sunday 6th august and called into The Nook for our lunch. Service was dreadful staff behind the bar more interested in showing each other videos on their mobile phones while we stood bewildered on how to put in our order for food and drinks. When we finally got our order in the food came out quite quickly though very average food for the price we were charged. During the course of our visit the waiting staff behind the bar where so loud and more interested in playing with their phones and chatting (or should I say shouting to each other) than showing any interest in other customers. I can only imagine there was no manager or owner about on Sunday as I've never seen a restaurant more poorly run. Don't waste your time or money going in here. Terrible service, extortion prices and very average food.

Visited here looking for a quick bite to eat and a drink after walking through Giants Causeway. We had 45 minutes until our coach departed, so were somewhat pushed for time. The place is a typical tourist trap, which somehow thinks that charging £6.50 for a portion of chips can be justified. Although there is a bar, you cannot order at it, and have to order in front of and at the end of the bar with a member of staff standing by the till. Even if only purchasing drinks, you have to give a table number and the staff will bring it over to you once poured! It was like being back in the days of pandemic restrictions! Despite opening at 11am, the kitchen does not open until 12 (midday). You are not allowed to even order food until then as their system will not let you. Scones, crisps or any other snacks are unavailable until the kitchen is open! We found this somewhat perplexing, especially as there were a number of other customers eating within the venue prior to midday! Visit the cafe in the National Trust centre, or even better bring a packed lunch!

A day out exploring the north coast, needing a wee bite to eat we stopped in here. I ordered the Guinness pie while my GF ordered the soup. Just what we needed, tasty food and fast service. The staff were all so pleasant. Would recommend!
