Went here to play Aunt Sally. And received such a warm welcome. Lovely place with friendly staff. Also very clean

Incredibly rude staff. Booked for Easter Monday, and arrived with our party of 4 adults, a child and two babies. Waitress asked if we were ready to order, and we politely asked for 5 minutes more which was greeted with an eye roll and she stormed off. When she returned, she was incredibly impatient and rude, not one smile. We were then rushed to finish our food, the waitress asking us if we were finished several times because ‘they had to do the washing up’. The food was tasty enough, but would absolutely never return here due to the rude staff. We were made to feel unwelcome and as if we were an inconvenience. Simply, do not open on Easter Monday if it’s such an inconvenience and you are going to greet paying guests with such ill manners.

Went for Sunday lunch, I had roast beef, my partner had winter vegetarian gratin, both meals were very good, large portions, service from Rosie was excellent, highly recommended, will be returning again

First time visiting even though we live locally . Food , Service , Hygiene & pricing 5 star . We visited at lunch time on a Saturday warm welcome with our dog . 3 young ladies on duty super helpful fast service very friendly and attentive. The whole place outside and inside was spotless food quality was simply superb pricing excellent and no hidden extras no hidden service charges just good old fashioned quality and customer service we will be returning very soon .

Lovley Sunday lunch with friends. Served our table of 14 with bowls of a variety of 5 different lovely fresh veg that would have served more heads so no scrimping here! You pay extra for Cauli cheese as you would in most places but it was worth it. Ordered a portion per couple but again was a large & would serve 3 easily. Looking forward to going back. Friendly & helpful staff. Did'nt have dessert as too full 😋

A group of family members met up at Thenford Arboretum for the Snowdrop spectacular and for the new inn on a search engine - decided to contact the inn to reserve a table and they were very helpful in providing a menu for the lunchtime on that day so we could decide on choices before arriving ( table was for 2pm and kitchen last orders was 2.15pm ) which worked well . A friendly greeting and shown to our table - followed by drinks order and food order shortly afterwards. The inn had a vibrant atmosphere and warm . The food was well presented hot , tasty and we all had something different with no dish disappointing. I had the Lancashire hot pot ( half portion & half the price , GF option) which was delicious and sufficient enough for me to endulge in a Banana pavlova dessert 😄 If we visit this area again we shall certainly make the New Inn our number one place to go to again Thank you for making the end of our family reunion a memorable one Well done to all the staff members

Would give service 0 if possible booked a table for 6pm got our drinks. we waited for 45 minutes to order and tried to get the attention of the staff multiple times it wasn't even like they were busy as the staff were standing around chatting with each other so paid for our drinks and left.

Great food and service all night, shame about the horrific attitude of the witches of Middleton on the next table trying to scam free food. Staff handled it brilliantly

The New Inn are always so accommodating with bookings over the phone and if you ever pop in last min they will try their best to get you a table, the food is so homely, tasty and always a generous portion, staff are friendly and always a wide selection at the bar! Will visit time and time again. My husband and father in law will now only order the hot pot because they love it so much!

Hot stone steak night. Fantastic Fillet steak. Good value. Great service , good choice of beers at the bar. Highly recommend.

Wow! This place is amazing!!! What a find! The food is gorgeous, it was so tasty! The service is brilliant, really nicely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and a really pretty venue. The quality of our Sunday dinner was fantastic. We had the lamb and the chicken roasts; the meat was succulent, the pig in blanket was yummy and the roast potatoes were fluffy and crispy. All the veg, gravy and Yorkshire pudding were great too. We had the jam sponge for afters... wow!!! The custard was one of the best we have ever had and the the vanilla seeds in this were bliss!! We were very happy diners, who rolled home! We will definitely visit again!

We booked for sunday lunch after an appointment nearby and were not disappointed. I had the mixed sunday lunch which was lamb shank and beef brisket with all the timmings. Homemade crumble and ice cream to finish.Will definitely be back!

Me and my partner went for food/drinks. Very flavoursome and filling meals. More than generous fillings. We had the hunters chicken and the Lancashire hot pot was delightful. The jam sponge dessert was indulging and the profritroles rolls were mouth watering Fantastic friendly/ warm service by the waiters and a very friendly atmosphere. 10000000% recommended and we will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu. Sorry no photos but we wouldn't want to spoil it for you!

Visit this pub regularly. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is lovely and very reasonable. The pub is full of character. Just outside Banbury, easy to find and plenty of parking.
