I did read some reviews before I booked but I thought we should give it a go. I am so glad we did!!! We had such a great night. Allie and griff behind the bar were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was great, hot, fresh and very tasty. We sent our compliments to Kelly the chef. We were advised it was quiz night and it gets really busy, we don’t mind that and we were happy to join the quiz. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and we had a laugh and felt really welcome. The landlady Claire is probably one of the most welcoming people I have met in a long time. I asked the staff their names because I think it’s important to give credit where it’s due. We had a great night and thank you for being so Warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Thanks all Andrea

Fish & chips with were lovely, batter was just fight and the fish white & tasty, next to a chippy with an eat-in, but think this was better.

They serve lovely Sunday roast. The food was great, took some home cause I couldn't finish it all. Service was good.

Would not go back to this pub. For a better time visit one of the other pubs in the area. Bar staff are friendly enough but the management are very rude and should not be allowed to be in charge of any establishment.

My brother-in-law only had a quarter of a pint to drink, but one of the barmen stood over us, harassing us, ordering us to "chug,chug!" There were three other tables that he didn't target. He returned several times, trying to give us plastic cups to leave. It was completely unnecessary and spoilt what was, until that, a nice evening. I can't understand where the attitude came from and why we were targeted. We hadn't been rude, loud, or disruptive. We won't be back if that's how we will be treated. I would make a complaint if I thought it would make a difference, but I don't think it will.

Been to the new inn Birchgrove for food drink as needed a change well what can I say after my cancer treatment head and neck problems with food they went the extra mile fried onions on my burger skinny frys no extra charge big thank you and staff are just great and landlady will be back

The landlady and landlord are wonderfully humourous ,friendly and welcoming .They have created their own unique brand of atmosphere and safety .They happily do not tolerate bad manners or anti social behaviour ,a pub to gladly call my local .Well done

Omg a Sunday lunch to die for in fact what was served up could quite easily feed two, meat was so tender and tasty served with a delicious gravey, the veg was cooked to perfection and all served with a friendly helpfull face. Top class experience from start to finish, first time visited but definitely not the last

Today being my Birthday we decided to dine out,having received good reports we elected to go to the New Inn,although surrounded by many good restaurants.Result a total disaster,we started with a basic Prawn cocktails (Shrimp) edible but basic.We odered food not to complicated Breaded Plaice which was presented in a really very dark and greasy colour to come with Garden peas albeit mushy peas came.I ordered Surf and TURF 10 oz Sirloin ? Medium Rare,it also was to come with King Prawns.What actually arrived was well cooked piece of meat and again shrimps.What possesses the Person in the Kitchen to serve it like that if the food as advertised is not available.What made matters worse was the person behind the bar who called herself the Front person who apologised but was never sincere.Although I did not pay for my meal I never ate it.Last time for us.

Both drinks and food are always top draw. The owners always provide the best quality drinks and lovely home cooked food. Their team are an extension to their efforts and are always attentive and friendly. It’s really like going back 20+ years to how a pub should be run. So lucky to call The New Inn our local, but people who are not so local will be equally greeted with the same hospitality, thanks to Claire , Andy and their fantastic team, thank you for all your hard word to keep a lovely pub and the music most Saturday nights is a bonus. We are so lucky to have you, keep up the good work. 10 out of 10 from me and the boss you know that’s Caroline)😃

Love the vibe here. It’s not a craft beer type place but friendly and chilled. Absolutely stonking Sunday lunch - well worth trying it. We had lamb and couldn’t fault it - hot, plentiful, gallons of gravy and tons of veg and a big Yorkshire. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Really good pub.

Recently moved to Birchgrove, great pub and atmosphere. Great service from the bar staff. Will be going back there soon.

What an experience, a warm greeting as you enter. Staff were so friendly and helpful, our meal was beautiful, plentiful and hot. Excellent value, and what a lovely thing at the end, was the landlady coming to see if we enjoyed our meal and evening. We were all impressed and grateful. We will be returning.

Ok pub, nice friendly staff, not a massive selection of beer but then I'm a craft ale drinker so this pub isn't aimed at me. Haven't had any food there, so can't comment. Overall, not a bad pub.

Real friendly pub to watch sport's not a place for a first date. Facelift and new menu. Plus live music and quiz..have fun..watch out for pop up menus looks tasty..

Having been here on a few occasions , we thought this place was ok . But we went there on a Friday night . My husband had just one pint . Me & my 16 year old daughter went to the toilets , when we returned the landlady that we had never seen before was having words with my husband who had got himself a jack Daniels . She promptly took his drink & treated him with calling the police if he drank it . My husband went outside for a cigarette as he was not happy . I went to see if he was ok . To come back to this same woman to be questioning my daughter about identity card etc . My daughter does not & has never drunk alcohol . As soon as this overweight piece of work saw me , she sheppardly shuffled off . Not saying a word to me ! I do not appreciate a gutless wonder that talks to my daughter without explaining herself to me . We will not be back as obviously the obese landlady doesn't like anyone other than her regulars . No one else is welcome !

This venue normally closes it's kitchen on a Tuesday, but we were a party of eleven Goldies who wanted to lunch at this venue last Tuesday. They very kindly opened their kitchen just to accommodate us, and the food was brilliant too. We will be using this venue again. :)

Excellent service great size portions, nothing was to much trouble for the staff we were a party of 10 all food came out together and piping hot

Cheap drink, staff reasonably pleasant.

Not a great variety of beers. However, extra points applies for not bowing to the Queen Of England. A proper Welsh pub, and didn't feel like I was in the cotswolds.

Para mi vergüenza, nunca he visitado el nuevo pub de la posada a pesar de que vivo a solo dos calles de distancia, pero hoy mi familia lo visitó para cenar temprano y debo decir que quedamos muy impresionados con toda nuestra experiencia, desde el saludo a la llegada hasta el servicio y la calidad de la comida. Definitivamente volveremos a visitar en un futuro muy cercano.

The management have nailed the Covid 19 risks and I'm more than comfortable to eat and drink at this pub. They take it all seriously and the staff will do their best for you and your safety without being obtrusive. The food is brilliant too. Can't recommend it enough.

He estado yendo a este pub durante los últimos 30 años desde que te mudaste al Heath. Tengo que decir que es lo mejor que ha sido. No vayas a pubs tan a menudo, pero este es un definitivo para el rugby. Fui aquí el sábado pasado y el ambiente era genial. Un montón de personal, así que no hay que esperar y curry y patatas fritas gratis a medio tiempo, que fue muy agradable. Este pub definitivamente ha mejorado su juego. Probaré la comida una noche ahora como muy razonable.

Excellent food. Good beer, relaxed atmosphere. Clean and well maintained, friendly staff. A good selection of gins and whisky. Outside space to sit. Next to a busy raid so not very peaceful while sat outside. Sports shown and plenty of seating.

Very well kept pub, good food good staff .

Set Christmas menu was very good, food great. The reason for awarding just three stars is that we were rushed through it all. Three courses in literally 45 minutes. I was still eating the previous course when they started serving the next course. None of us liked that aspect, which can best be described as like dining on a conveyor belt.

Great community pub with a nice selection of beers and great atmosphere in the night. Perfect place to meet and have a catch-up with pals over a drink.

No podría decirle cómo es la comida o la bebida aquí, pero pronto lo intentaré, ya que nunca volveré a ir a Aneurin Bevan ya que obtuve una multa de 75 estacionamientos porque no sabía que tenía que enviar los detalles del estacionamiento. Así que aquí está mi primera pinta y comida en la nueva posada.
