Best Indian in Monmouth!!!! New to the area. Making my way through trying all the Indians in town, one per month! Will always come to Misbah now!! Everything was brilliant. We eat here often as a break in a journey we do regularly, both takeaway and eat in depending on our mood. The staff are lovely, and the food is consistently delicious. Great flavours, and good portions. Also I'd say they have some of the best naans I know. I love the music connection too (recording studio in the area). Well worth a visit!

We ate early, and on a Monday early in New Year, so only down on stars for atmosphere because we 6 were the only diners. However, really enjoyed my meal and very good attentive service. We will definitely dine there again.

Our second time here, it was even better than last time! I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in the area but this is by far my favourite. All the food was delicious and just the right amount. Next time I would probably only have one poppadom each as they are very large. The staff are very attentive and service was quick too. We had are elderly dog in the car as she doesn't like being home alone. So it was great that the meal came very promptly. Get there early if you haven't booked as it soon gets busy on a weekend.

Came in and ordered on the off chance. The staff where very welcoming and had my order ready in 10 minutes! One of, if not the best customer service experiences I've had in a restaurant. Best of all the food was outstanding! Will definitely be retuning with the family and can't wait to try the full experience in the restaurant.

My mother ordered a vegetarian Bhuna , after picking up the takeaway and waiting 15 minutes longer than the estimated time got home to find a lamb bhuna after she took the first bite and being a vegetarian upset , not happy

Complete rip off. Food here was very average and staff were very pushy and went out of their way to inflate the bill. Charged almost £7 for 2 glasses of water after asking for tap water. Lots of other add ons and overpriced drinks meant we paid around £45 for 2 curries, 1 rice, naan and one beer. One of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. Do not go here.

No idea how this place gets such a high rating..we had a terrible meal. The lamb in the specials was as tough as old boots, the mushrooms in the bhaji were like tinned, and they ran out of all beer...draught and bottles. Not acceptable ...especially as the mains are north of £15... Toilets were pretty rank too...

Impromptu takeaway. Much better quality ingredients and superior flavours in comparison to the other Monmouth curry houses. Only reason for 4 stars is that the portions were really quite disappointing, not enough to go around! This was a real shame because it was all delicious.

Very nicely flavoured curries enjoyed by my friend and I. Back in the day I could eat fairly hot curries but these days I go for taste and flavour rather than heat and lots of spice. The Misbah delivered very well.Good service and reasonably priced. Decor is a bit drab but thoroughly enjoyed our visit.Would definitely go again.

Found this on a quiet Sunday evening (we were initially only ones on there). Attentive staff. Interesting menu. Note that the ‘hot’ fish curry (2 chillis against it on menu) was tasty but not overly hot. Would recommend.

Arrived at 1915 hours. Service and meal was OK, not brilliant and not quite up to the old Misbah we have come to love. At 2015 hrs we were finishing our main course when the waiter produced our bill with the card paying machine. No offer of a main course or coffee but a rushed "can you leave the restaurant as soon as possible" impression which we certainly got. I can only guess the boss was missing.They need to look into this.

Misbah seems to be permanently closed. Very, very sad. It was a fine curry house, one of the best. A major feature in many people’s lives. Whatever happened to the family, we wish you all the very best. Thank you for some great memories, food and wonderful times. We miss you greatly. 👏🏻

Visited Misbah for a family member's birthday. Wonderful food with good service. A little more pricey than some places but worth it for the quality.

Having eaten in a few Indian Restaurants over the years but never had Bangladeshi I have to say that that was the finest meal I have had in years. Would highly recommend.

Good, solid curry house. As are the other two Indian restaurants in town. Whilst not exceptionally good nosh, it will be a good choice when finding yourself hungry and lost in Monmouth.

Picked this place because of the reviews, whilst stopping in Chepstow. Seen they had won an award, in my opinion we would visit. My pointers are that the food was fresh, starters had just been cooked whilst waiting. Let's point out that all the tables were being used, waiters polite, clean shirts, shoes. We had ordered a main and sides with bread. The bread was fresh, made on site, soft in centre. Main was great, it only later that you can realise that no additives were put in. That's the reason why people feel bloated later. Thanks for a great meal.

The menu included all the usual dishes, plus a good number of specials, which my wife and I both chose. It all tasted home-made and spicey-hot, not chilli powder hot.

Having lived local for several years I can't believe this is the first time I have eaten here ! We eat a lot of Indian in and around the area and this is the best one yet. Food was absolutely stunning, clean and not greasy at all. Everything was so flavoursome and there was a great choice of vegetarian dishes even for a restricted covid menu. All staff were attentive too. We will definitely be reccomending and will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful restaurant with friendly and attentive service. I've eaten all over India and throughout the UK and this is top notch for the price bracket. The ingredients were of the highest quality and the Nan bread had obviously come from an inferno of a tandoor because it was lovely and light. Nan doesn't get any better than that.

We were just visiting Monmouth for a few days and decided to order a takeaway from here. The food was delicious and the menu had a wide variety of vegan/vegetarian options which was also a very nice touch. Would recommend to anyone whos visiting the area. Will definitely be back!

Had a takeaway while on holiday in the area. Was more expensive than a typical Indian restaurant but the standard was mediocre and portions fairly small. Monnow curry had tinned vegetables and was very poor. May have made the wrong choice of dish but would not pay a return visit I’m afraid.

It states all over the take away leaflet that prices are discounted... truth is it is very expensive. over £10 for a dish with about 4 cubes of lamb in it.

The food here is always amazing, I particularly like the Goan fish curry, the best I've ever had! There's a good variety of dishes, with vegetarian options available. Definitely the best place to get a curry in Monmouth, would highly recommend.

Having been told what a good restaurant this is and judging by previous reviews we went to this place with high expectation. However, we came away feeling disappointed, particularly with the service. Food we judged to be just about ok but expensive for what it was. However, the waiter serving us was just going through the motions and was quite indifferent. Shan't be going back anytime soon.

We've been to the Misbah a number of times over the years and have previously considered it the best Indian in the area. Unfortunately tonight's experience will probably mean we won't go again. The food overall I would rate as "Good", but the service was poor. The best that could be said for our waiter was "unfriendly". Clearly he didn't enjoy his job and was not interested in our experience. Honestly, if you don't like your job, find another one! People have a choice of where to spend their money and if you project a miserable demeanor, they won't spend it with you. Very disappointed.

So impressed! I booked a meal for around 20 people at Misbah for 12th Feb 19, a number of them with direct personal connections to India and a very keen interest in fine dining. Due to the restaurant's reputation, attendance was high. Everything was perfect from start to finish: booking process, table layout, ambience, service and of course, superb cooking! This has to be the best Indian restaurant for miles around.

I visited with my partner Steve for a Friday night date night. We love curry and wanted to enjoy a night out together. We booked the table for 6pm as we didn't want to be out too late. We were the first couple in as they open at 5.30pm and we were seated by the window and a radiator that was barely warm. We asked if the heating could be turned up but the waiter said it was on. We shivered a bit as we ordered and ate our poppadums. We had to remind them to bring us the drips with them. The main course' were delicious and this more than made up for the slight chill in the air. I'm sure if you visited later in the evening it would have been warmer.

Food was good, but service was awful. I have eaten here in the past & was looking forward to taking my partner, so booked a table for 2 at 7pm last Friday for his birrhday. We arrived on time & the restaurant was packed & the only table for 2 was stuck out in the middle of the restaurant, by the counter & toilet door, not a great place to sit at all. We were seated with no menu given, we had to ask for a menu. We ordered starters & mains & we waited over 30 minutes to be told by the waiter that they has run out of onion baij's, which we had ordered for starters, so we reordered our starters & had to wait another 30 minutes for our new starter & then waited 15 minutes for our starter plates to be cleared away & to order more drinks.

We both enjoyed our meal which was cooked to perfection. The staff are polite and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go again.

Excellent food and service especially as it was on a busy Friday night. The peshwari nan was one of the best that we've ever tasted and our meals were full of flavour and spices without being hot. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever in Monmouth!!! 😊

I have a Gourmet Society Card and when we visit somewhere new I always check which restaurants are offering a deal.Misbah came up with 2-4-1 main courses, saw the TA reviews so booked for Sunday night.Glad I did, friendly service, impressive decor and good food.£29 for two of us including drinks.We'll be back.
