Food was not up to usual standard. Drink mixers to expensive.

First time I have been disappointed in the mint food was a bit bland seemed to lack seasoning on the plus side of the 5 meals the cod and chips was excellent the rest of our party said there meals were on the bland side visited The Mint often over the years and it's unusual for the food to be so bland.

Tennents is a wee bit warm. But nice enough

Had a great time with my family for my birthday. Food excellent. Great value. Staff are amazing. Brought my birthday cake to the table. I didn’t want a fuss and the waiter kept it casual. Decor so relaxing. Will defo be back. Oh and the lasagne was delicious. Recommend it.

Had Sunday dinner here OMG the food was absolutely awful Firstly I found a bit of plastic in my soup, waitress said the chef said it was a bit of onion !!!! Never had an onion like that before. Steak pie had the weirdest taste ever , potatoes and the vegetables had absolutely no taste at all. Would not recommend this place at all , please don’t waste your money.

The service was very good, however, on this occasion the standard of the food was very poor... The portions were smaller than usual, not as hot as it should have been and very bland..... I was very disappointed loop

Food tastes great and service is always top notch. I know when I come here for dinner it will never disappoint. The only thing that let's it down is convenient parking. If the street outside the restaurant is full, the nearest is on a street up the top of the road, but still just a 2 minute walk away.

The food here is so good. Been a couple of times recently and prior to that, hadn't been for over 20 years (I think). I suggested here for my nephews 18th. We were seated in a wee private area, which was fantastic. Staff were great and even provided candles for the birthday cake (as forgot to bring). The only negative; not sure if being tucked away staff were slightly less attentive; had to be reminded about drink ordered for toddler and had to seek out staff member to order more drinks. But other than that, no complaints and definitely be back for more delicious food. 😋

I went on my Birthday in late December with my mum. The food was really good, reasonably priced and the service was great. Prompt, professional, respectful, welcoming. I’ll defi itely go back.

We used the function suite upstairs. Good size and the bar staff were super patient. We had quite a few kids running around causing chaos and no doubt headaches for the staff but they were excellent.

Had a beautiful Christmas lunch. Great place to go. 😁

Went for a nice meal and god a Christmas dinner off the festive menu. Was a nice meal which I really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and the place is clean, was decorated nice for Christmas and had a good atmosphere about it. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Work night out! Most of us drinking pints, I ordered whiskey and coke on a small glass eventually I was given Bacardi and coke in tall glass not what I ordered waiters English was hard to understand waitress appeared… by this time company we’re ordering their 2nd pint, asked what I wanted told her whiskey and coke … 10 mins later I was asked what whiskey I wanted this went on and on eventually I ordered vodka and coke. Nachos arrived which I’ve had many times.. I like jalapeño s the sauce was so hot I couldn’t eat it I tried eating the cheese underneath but I’d mixed the sauce not realising the heat… my friend was the same not asked why it was left not up to scratch very disappointed

Walked in for table for one food was amazing but felt rushed within 3 mins of ordering my starter and main my soup was on my table. And as soon as id finished it. my main meal was there. Both amazing but felt more like it was an eat up and leave. But do recommend the food.

Great food. Very slow service. Perfect if you have lots of time and like a break between courses it's fine. Plenty of staff on shift but all had their backs to the customers and chatting at the bar. We ended up not having a coffee because we had to leave.

Below average food and service starters came 10 minutes apart then main course(fish) was swimming in fat.

My friend and I had dinner in The Mint restaurant on Thursday. The food was absolutely fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. I have an allergy to fish. I explained this to the staff member. He assured me that my food would be prepared in a fish free area of the kitchen. If you go the ice cream is a must! 🍨

We didn't book just walked in on chance very busy but they squeezed us in service was great food was brilliant will definitely be in again Well done all 2 weeks later we decide to go out for dinner so booked the mint we booked for 4 people unfortunately due to illness only 2 could dine we arrived around 17.55 for 18.00 booking had our meal which was fine 55 mins into our night waitress arrives with the bill you need to pay we need the table back there is a limit on how long you get to eat now if that's the rules then they should let you know this before you agree to dine and pay Strange thing was tables who were there before us were still siting my wife and I both had steaks plus sweet couple of drinks didn't get time to have coffee happy to pay but will be our last very disappointed

Absolutely loved this wee hidden gem! We asked for recommendations after a day out at Time Capsule and this place was described as a pub - it is so much more than that. Beautiful inside, staff were so so lovely and the food was amazing. Our fussy nearly 6 year old even ordered a second serving of the kids pasta. We WILL be back!

It's not the first time here ,but it's the first time I've left disappointed .Both my wife and i ordered steak pie for the main course, and i must admit it wasn't very nice .Considering they sold the large steak pies to the public during the festive months, i was looking forward to my meal .It was average, to say the least. i was expecting better and would think twice about ordering it again .

We arrived and place was like a sauna really to hot to function so asked to be seated somewhere else before my wife and I passed out.they sat us next to one of the air conditioning units aw man was so good. But anyway back to the important stuff I ordered a burger and chips my wife got the same had the wee one with us so got her well chicken nuggets n peas what else lol Without a lie the best burger I had in a while and the chips were amazing I was inhaling them into my mouth that fast they were just so good my wife never finished hers but I scoffed mine down. The staff are amazing also very attentive and helpful. Never realised this place around the corner from house but if you ever in the area you won't regret popping in for a meal very good compliments to the chef

The Mint is our favourite local restaurant. Gemma and her staff are all so lovely and cannot do enough for you. The food is consistently excellent, proper comfort food. The nachos and macaroni cheese are the stuff of food dreams! The restaurant has a lovely relaxed, cosy atmosphere. It’s always a pleasure to visit.

We visited today for my sister in laws birthday. Gemma ( i think she is a manager) was fantastic and always is when we visit. She was so kind and arranged for a candle to be put in the dessert once she found out we were celebrating a birthday. Everytime we visit the Mint we are always given great service. Gemma especially goes above and beyond and is always so lovely to my little niece who is in a wheelchair. Today we had a conversation about her new chair she had just gotten. When people take the time to make you feel welcome it really matters and makes you want to return. Thanks Gemma for being so great

We went for a spot of lunch on Friday. It's a very nice place and my lunch was lovely, however, my only gripe is the portion size of the curry. I'm not expecting huge lunch portions for an extra spoonful of curry wouldn't go amiss - especially as the curry pieces were small. If I hadn't had the sticky toffee pudding (which was delicious) I would have left hungry. I will try this place again perhaps for dinner this time.

Service was fast and friendly but food very greasy. I think they need to change the fat in their fryer more regularly

Had a lovely time at the Mint Coatbridge with my partner. Very clean and hygienic with covid safety features well in view. Staff all wore masks and were very attentive. Food was amazing and came quickly and served hot. Will definitely be returning to try the evening meal selection

Went for lunch the other day hear and tbh I felt some of the staff need to be trained. The places is mobbed so don’t listen what I’m saying but the steak pie is aweful. I got four pieces of stew and the pastry was hard. The place has good reviews but I won’t be back

We booked a family meal for 6 at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. What a delightful place. The staff were very friendly and sociable especially Steven who served us. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and very well priced. I will definitely go there again. Thank you.

Had a lovely lunch today with work friends I had haggis Bon bons followed by steak pie the staff were excellent and a lovely lunch was had by all in nice surroundings. This restaurant is famous for it’s steak pie succulent large portions I would highly recommend

My partner and I attended for afternoon dinner and drinks on a busy Saturday.I haggis bon bons for a starter which was accompanied with a whiskey sauce. This was very tasty. My partner refrained from a starter as she was getting wired into the wine and cocktails... lolFor main courses we had sea bass and penne pasta respectively. This was also tasty.Service was great and the drinks were plentiful. All in all, a great afternoon, brilliant atmosphere and I don't recall getting home... lol.

We cannot praise The Mint highly enough.We had a post lockdown wedding and held our meal and drinks at The Mint. It was perfect.The Staff- friendly, kind and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Any changes we made, they went with it. They were amazing. The Meal- Our guests loved their meal. 3 great options, served quickly and presented well. The rib of beef was particularly amazing. The Venue- It's a great location, the room is decorated beautifully and we had plenty of room. The place is spotless, toilets are clean and fresh (spacious enough for a bride and maid of honour to manipulate a dress) A huge thank you to everyone at The Mint. You helped make our day so special. If we could do it all again, wouldn't change a thing

From start to finish service was on point, very friendly and unobtrusive. Highlights were the nachos to start and the Chicken Vinarossa. Felt very safe with all the Covid measures in place. We'll done and great to see you back.

We decided to try the takeaway service offered by The Mint and booked for the collection slot of 19:00Arrived just before 19:00 and already there were lots of other customers waiting. Was given my order around 10 minutes late which I felt was okay under the current circumstances (until I got home)At home unpacked and unboxed the food. Starter order of Haggis BonBons was missing and no coleslaw was provided to go with the chicken goujons (Coleslaw is part of the meal)The chicken goujons consisted of only 3 actual goujons and 11 chips, which is ridiculous for the price paid.All of the food was cold (Braised Beef and Cajun Chicken sandwich), so it must have been sitting inside the restaurant for a long time before it was given to me.All in all, for the money paid it's reasonable to expect the food to be warm and for the order to be complete. It seems like they are struggling to maintain the takeaway orders correctly, which after being a fairly regular customer in the past, is surprising.No refund given for missing items either (even though I was told there would be).We used to eat at The Mint pretty regularly but we will definitely think twice before returning. Poor service and poor quality of food.

The food was good, the portions were generous, the staff were professional and friendly. The only down was the menu could have had more choice. However, every one of our Party of 6 will return...the food was that good.

Went for lunch. Staff very friendly and on the ball. Had a little time to wait for food which was to be expected as they were busy. When it did arrive it was well worth the wait. Food was amazing.

Had the pleasure of visiting here on Saturday the 18th of January to celebrate my 1 year old son's birthday with family and friends. We were a large party of 18 (which included a wheelchair user) and we couldn't be happier with the reserved seating in the conservatory and the attentive service we received. All diners thoroughly enjoyed their meals from a menu which offers variety and we were well looked after by the staff. Even the baby changing facilities couldn't be faulted. We will definitely be back.

I generally go out to lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my family , and find it difficult to find better value and quality than the mint! For two courses for under £10 The pate with toast and Cumberland sauce is too die for and the steak pie is the best in Coatbridge . I do try other establishments but find the mint hard to beat

I was impressed as we walked in as it is very smartly decorated. The staff were very polite and helpful as you’d expect. We had a starter and a main course. They were very tasty but my wife’s fish was slightly overcooked for her liking . The portions are a descent size and we would go back.

Went to The Mint late afternoon today for a meal. We hadn't been there for a while so didn't know how it was doing these days.Arrived at 15.30 and were seated immediately and drinks orders taken as soon as we were settled. Food order was taken quickly and the staff were very pleasant.Both had chicken goujons which were fantastic and large portion size. The restaurant was very busy and other diners appeared also to enjoy the food.We will definitely return soon.

The family decided to go somewhere local that we haven't ate before and heard good reviews of the Mint and we weren't disappointed.The family enjoyed a very nice meal, from the starters of soup to haggis.Then from main meals from, burgers to chicken strips. All the food was delicious.The price was reasonable, with the staff being really nice.Will defo return in the future

Family party of 20 came for my Grans 70th birthday. The meal was fantastic and the portions were huge. The staff couldn’t be more helpful :)

Ate here a few times previously in the past and food was decent, popped in today whilst visiting from perth and totally disappointed. Kids burger meal was served on a morning roll rather than burger bun, if we had known that could have went to wee tams for half the price. My chicken enchiladas were tasteless but best of all was my partners lasagne, one top sheet of pasta in the entire dish and underneath that is what can only be described as watery, meat filled soup, served with one slice of garlic bread, rather than advertised 2, which was doused in enough garlic to kill the entire cast of twilight, considered booking for mums birthday..this was clearly before food arrived. Definitely wouldnt be back.

Phoned to book a table at 4.30 for 2 of us for dinner. We ordered 3 courses and drinks. The food and drinks were great but the service not so good. I think that staff DEFINITELY need more Training. When we received our dessert we were told that they needed the table back in 15 minutes as they had booked out the area we were sitting in. They knew our table was booked so why didnt they sit us in an area elsewhere which wasn't booked out as there were plenty of empty tables. We phoned for our lift to come and asked for the bill once the bill was paid a girl came over to us and said we could sit in another table. This was once our lift was already half way to get us so was too late!! Very disappointing and unprofessional. Normal places you have Atleast 2 hours this wasn't even an hour and a half before we were told we had to leave. After reading the reviews this is not the first time it has happened and after spending a lot of money we were very annoyed.

picked from 8.95 menu didnt have my specs with me picked fish and chips from that menu .got bill asked why it had 2 pounds plus on it they said it was extra because it was cod .so how can you put fish and chips on the 8.95 menu and charge 10.95 ,if it is that price should it not be on another menu.was not even a full fish it was half.so its a con not a cod

Came in as a family of 4, everyone apart from me had a lovely lentil soup and steak pie & they all thought it was lovely. I ordered nachos and didn’t realise till halfway thru that there was bacon in it, I’m vegetarian. Quick dash to the loos to be sick and a few years later I had my main course of chickpea curry. I hate giving bad reviews but it really wasn’t nice. I know I was probably still traumatised over the bacon being in the nachos but the curry was just tasteless other than the tomato sauce it was covered in. My meal was taken off the bill which was really appreciated and also the waitress was very apologetic, to be fair I don’t think it was her fault anyway as I didn’t realise that bacon came as standard with the nachos and I had to say vegetarian to her to ensure it was meat free. It wasn’t a great visit for me but I’ve been coming for years and it’s always been amazing so I wouldn’t let this time put me off trying again.

Went here for 1st time for my sons birthday on Wednesday 9th October. The place is so beautiful inside and out, staff so very helpful and it served traditional meals at very great prices. U weren't rushed to eat and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend it and will be going back to celebrate my girls birthday next month.

It was my mother in laws 80th birthday party on Friday 4th oct , 17 family members there , staff were very attentive , good Service , nothing to much trouble , food excellant and the drinks very reasonable , Can reccomend the steak pie .

Mint is where we always go for our Saturday lunch , steak pie is yummy as anything 10/10 everything always lovely - staff make us fell so welcome !!! If your in Coatbridge are hungry it’s the place to go

Wifes 60th birthday - she chose the mint has we had been a couple of times before and enjoyed the service and the meal.

Had booked a table for 14 people for my wifes 40th birthday. Phoned and asked the day before if I brought in some table decorations, banners and a cake would they be able to put them on the table for us coming in to which I was told that it would be no trouble at all! So I took in a few bits and pieces to surprise my wife when we got there. It really was no trouble because when we arrived no table was ready, no banners and no balloons. I asked one of the waitresses and off she went to check. A few minutes later of me sitting stewing, she comes back with the bag I had gave in the day before puts it on the table with everything still in the packaging and says 'there you go!If looks could kill when I asked her to take them away as I wanted them out, surprisingly, for coming in! Food was fine and eventually when everyone got the food that they had ordered witha few mix ups, same with drinks we had a not bad time. Been there loads of times and really enjoyed it, this has put me right off.

We had a lovely family meal, celebrating a couple of the children passing there exams, table of 10. This is our 1st visit to the mint and glad we tries it. A wide range of food n drinks were ordered. All came fresh, delightful with no issues. Also the cocktails were nice and reasonable priced, staff really nice, will defo be back

Went with family for my birthday was just first time visiting was ok not the best food I’ve ever had mixed bag , some starters were ok and done poor I had chicken burger a bit chewy and thought it wasn’t the cheapest for quality . Don’t think I’d go back I’m afraid .

Went here for a Sunday lunch ,staff very quick at bringing menus and drinks.Someone in our party eats gluten free and were told very efficiently what was on the menu.All our meals were lovely and good portions,prices were reasonable and will certainly come back.

Always find the Mint Coatbridge to be most welcoming with friendly staff especially Gemma who always has excellent customer care skills.We had a lovely lunch of freshly cooked chicken goujons,dressed side salad and chips all nicely presented and served promptly.We ate in the Conservatory which is bright with modern and stylish decor.We have ate on many occasions in the Mint and have never been disappointed with the food,service and friendly atmosphere.Thanks again, Mrs Armour

What can a say on approach place is nice on the eye and inside pretty much the same modern clean. The staff are flat as pancakes not very welcoming and not keen to serving either food was ok basic pub stuff which lets down the interior of the place. Orders taken and food served nothing or know pleasantries from staff !

Visited The Mint on Sunday 2nd June along with the family. First time we’ve been in awhile and the food was excellent. Great service from Gemma and the staff won’t leave it so long till next time 👌🏻

Took elderly mother in law for lunch. Varied menu and staff informed that 'smaller portions' could be ordered which suited our 89 year old. Good food and service.

I ate here a long time ago and it was quite good but it has definately went down hill. Staff are poor, employing little girls because they're pretty isn't good for business. Lots of staff but still took us ages to order drinks, then ages gor them to be delivered. As for the food it was decidely below average, dry, over-cooked and bland.
