The MIllstone Bar & Restaurant in Omagh

Place lacks general hygiene. Service and food is nice. Portions could be a little bigger like the gravy I hardly got any. But the hygiene is pretty shocking.

Not very good. The whole place was cold in temperature and had no atmosphere. I treated myself to venison which was overpriced and the worst quality I have ever seen full of fat and rind. Service was slow to none existent and we skipped dessert as the whole experience was that bad. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Was at Millstone on Saturday night celebrating a very specIal birthday. The place was busy, with a lovely Christmas atmosphere. Our party had the 3 course set meal which was brilliant value and all came out at the same time piping hot and delicious. Anyone wanting to go for a great bite to eat come to the Millstone you will not be disappointed, there is something to suit everyone. The service was excellent, the food is excellent along with the atmosphere too, we look forward to calling again soon. Thanks Jessica.

Very nice experience. Amazing food.

First time visiting and definitely will not be the last. Portions were good size. Special of halibut was delicious, cooked to perfection with lovely sauce and greens. Rest of family thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Service was really good. For the quality of the food and price I would expect it to be busier. Maybe we were in a bit early. Atmosphere however was 100%. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Delicious food, stylish décor and very friendly, attentive service in the restaurant. There is also a separate bar with a different food menu. This would be an ideal place to stay or eat if you were visiting the nearby Abingdon classic car collection or the Ulster-American Folk Park.

Stopped in for some bar food on our way home, there is a restaurant attached but I think it only opens at a set time. Not that it matters, the food was outstanding! If this is their bar food then I dunno. It is 100% restaurant quality. Portions were large and very filling. I had the "Gortnagarn Cowboy Burger" (came with a selection of sides). It was not a 'frozen' burger but made from scratch. My sister ordered a steak, I stole a bit, as you do, it was melt in your mouth delicious. I will be back, I now have to attempt to try at least everything on their bar menu, just once.

Went here for afternoon Sunday lunch, very welcoming and great if you have kids or pushchair as loads of space. Food is excellent & cheap 3 courses for £18! I'd put it food wise on same par as Bar Rue in Omagh. Unfortunately the waiting staff aren't the same, a few blips in service. Overall we'll definitely return.

Huge portions at fantastic prices and amazing staff who were super quick, funny and friendly.. will be back 100%! Got 2 burgers between me and my partner that were huge with so much flavour and some sides of shoestring onions and skinny fries. Pepper sauce came with the burger and it was just as good as any 5* restaurants. The garlic dip is also gorgeous and everything was cooked to perfection. I could not finish it all but I gave it my best effort!! They were really quick taking drinks order and food orders. I use a wheelchair and it was very accessible with great seating options so I could get out of my chair and sit where I wanted. Full to the brim pints for only £4 which you don’t see too often anymore! I recommend this to anyone looking a good feed and good craic in a chill friendly and comfortable environment (with good music on in the background too) nice to see a place like this in omagh! Like a little hidden gem

A very lovely restaurant situated just outside Omagh, very easy to find. Very hard to find any faults with this place. The staff were very professional, prompt and in control. Food was excellent, all courses. 100% would visit again and would recommend everyone to check it out.

Had a family meal few months ago with family the large waiter guy a few of us felt was totally inappropriate with seemingly lewd actions and comments which didn’t come across as funny as he would meant Food not as up to scratch Waiter needs told to tone his manners

The owner of the Abingdon collection recommended The Millstone Inn for lunch after our visit and highly recommended the staff and food. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service and staff was first class. I had the best lasagne I’ve ever tasted here, my wife raved about her cod chips and mushy peas. They were very busy and it obviously down to doing everything right including good value and decent portions. Remember the name if you’re in the area.

The staff in the Millstone could not have done more. We had a meal with a large group for my Fathers 90th Birthday. They maid his day really special. Exceptional.

Called here for a Sunday dinner with family. Firstly we were greeted by the most friendly staff who offered to move us owing to a member of our party having mobility issues. Our wine glasses after putting our wine had lipstick on . The staff were so nice and apologetic that two smaller bottles of wine were provided too. The staff really went above and beyond for their customers. The food was nice but I wouldn't say it was amazing however we all ate our meal. The interior of the restaurant is clean and the washrooms immaculate so obviously a high standard of hygiene is present. Overall a nice meal with very friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Food quality, presentation, portion size and value is excellent. The staff are excellent; really attentive and helpful. It was absolutely pouring down and one of the staff let us out through the back entrance and lent us her umbrella to get the little one into her car seat.

We have been here today first time and went for Steak dinners after lovely time spent at the American Folk museum. Cannot say anything negative about food. It was made to order. Thank you chef :) Staff was very friendly too. As it was Sunday at around 5pm. Place was getting filled. I guess we came at perfect time as we didn't have to wait to be seated at all. Would definitely recommend this place if you are around and looking for good grub.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday 23rd November, a party of 4 and found a number of issues

we went to Millstone yesterday for the first time. Menu varied, food good,service good.However we noticed that several people (ourselves included) had difficulty cutting the food due to poor quality cutlery, even though our food was tender. A visit by painters and upholsterers is necessary and unlit toilets is not recommended. Bring your own cutlery and torch.

Came here with my partner for a meal before a night out, we arrived and the waitress was very friendly and greeted us warmly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic and the waitress was very helpful with answering my awkward questions, I'm hard work!

Seven members from the Masonic Historic Vehicle Club after visiting the "Abingdon Collection" just down the road called into the bar around 4.00pm and had a super evening bar meal before heading bact to Co. Antrim & Co.Down. I can't fault this little jem in any way at all. Service from the staff was great, the food was to die for and we did not have to wait all day on the food coming up even though they appeared very busy at the time and finally I did not see anything on the bar menu that was over £10.00. It dosen't get much better that this. If you are in the Omagh area looking for a meal then this venue is the place to seek out.

We went by the Trip Advisor rating as we aren’t local. When another table complained we started to be concerned and we were right. The food was disappointing not sure how this place is number 3 in Omagh. Tasteless food. Obviously the chef was off as this was not good, seemed to be freezer food and salad dumped out of a bag.

After visiting The Abingdon Collection which is nearby four of us stopped here for lunch . The food was delicious and it was service with a smile. The home made Apple Crumble with Custard and Icecream was beyond great.

This is one of the best places to eat in and around the Omagh area. It is the home of the "whole hog" burger and has to be ordered at least once. Standing as tall as a pint of beer it is a challenge. The food here is very reasonably priced and generous with its portions.

Great selection available for lunch in the bar. The homemade desserts were divine! The whole group were very happy with their meals.

I just by chance came across this place about a year ago coming from Dublin I check best places to eat in Omagh and I opted for the millstone really enjoyed .it was first time we went so we went back the second time last month coming from Cavan .
