The Millside in Ballymoney

Always love our trips here for dinner! As of late that’s had to be takeaway of course! But perfect service as always. I’m gluten free and I’m so well catered for pizza, pasta, sauces!! Nothings ever a problem! Food is good fresh hearty home cooked food! And you’d better be hungry cause they NEVER scrimp on portions!! And such good pricing! Last night we had pasta, kids meal and garlic chicken and it was only £18 something! Value for money doesn’t even come into it! Millside has been my favourite restaurant go to for a long time so happy they’ve been fit to carry on with takeout during this pandemic!

ordered steak, pizza and pasta dishes for a collection - everything was coldsteak was overcooked and had no pepper sauce, pizza and pasta dish was blandwas told that i had to wait until the ovens were turned on , when i arrived early the food was sitting already made up.

Got a takeaway tonight for the family and have to say can't fault anything about it. The portions are huge definitely plenty of left overs for later. Food is so reasonably priced. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The place is spotless and recently renovated. Safe to say I'll be back again...

My wife was feeling generous with my hard earned cash so booked a table in the Millside Cloughmills for a romantic socially distanced evening. The food was absolutely Michelin star quality. I had the chilli chicken as a starter, followed by a scrumptious 12 oz steak cooked to perfection. Was worried for a brief moment or two that I wouldn't have room for my sticky toffee pudding as my darling gave me half her champ from her burger. Nothing to worry about. Finished it all! Very well priced at £40.00 including two drinks. Don't bypass this gastronomic oasis.

We had heard good reports about the Millside and decided to call in for lunch on our way home from holiday on Thursday. We really liked the look of the place and the screens put up to separate us from the diners at the next table were much appreciated. There was an extensive menu and the staff could not have been any friendlier. The two course lunch deal at £12.50 including a cup of tea or coffee was very good value and the food was delicious with generous helpings. No time was wasted in clearing up and cleaning up when other diners left. We were so impressed overall that we bought a gift voucher for friends.

Ordered oven roast chicken but chicken came deep fried out of a frying pan this is false advertising on the menu.Tables were well spaced out and hand sanitizer was available. We have always had a good meal in this restaurant before unfortunately im reluctant to recommend this restaurant any more because of the way the chicken was cooked.

This place is hard to beat!!😀 3 courses plus tea or coffee 26.95 and 10.00 off each with offer!😀 Recommended!

Just home from a lovely meal in milllside cloughmills and as I’m allergic to dairy products and also gluten free they could not do enough for me to try and get me the perfect meal,thank you all so much for a great evening

The food in this place it's simply superb with a menu choice that would have you struggling to choose what to have. There were 8 of us went out for a meal where we received such a friendly welcome as soon as we came through the door. There is a 3 course set meal for £25 which includes a 12oz Sirloin steak which is the best I've tried. 8 starters, 8 mains, and 8 deserts and 8 very happy people.....10/10.

We had spend almost four months in lockdown fantasising about the Millside's breakfast and on Saturday we had a real taste of heaven. We went the whole hog and had the big breakfast and it was exceptional. Felt really safe as they have social distancing in place and are scrupulously clean and conscious of hygiene. Very reassuring to the two of us hypochondriacs. Food was excellent as usual and the staff were brilliant. Looking forward to getting back again for lunch or dinner sometime soon. Thanks again for a fantastic meal.

Called in here for dinner and was greeted by the loveliest lady. Our drinks waiter greeted us with a smile and then our server was really pleasant too. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, fresh and piping hot. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you Millside your doing a great job.

Could not fault the food or the service on our first visit to Millside. Portions are BIG , very well presented. Service efficient & friendly. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, tables not too close. We will certainly go again.

Visited here recently with my partner for a feed and was impressed from the start. Was quickly seated to our table. The menu has so much to offer and found it difficult to choose! The front of house staff were so attentive as while we looked at the menu we were served the most delicious cocktails. When the food arrived we couldn't believe the amount of food and it was all delicious, we then followed this up with desserts and coffee. Would highly recommend the Millside to everyone, there is an array of dishes to suit everyone!

24 of my family visited Millside, Cloughmills on Saturday night to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. The room was beautifully decorated with balloons and banners. We pre ordered our meal so as soon as we were all seated we were served our starters, I had chicken & bacon rocket salad it was amazing. Our main courses were also very promptly served, I had Rump steak served on champ with tobacco onions and whisky sauce, cooked to perfection, the staff were very friendly and patient, as I'm sure you can imagine serving a large party and making sure everyone has received their meal and sides can be a lot of work. The food was amazing, faultless in flavour, presentation and portion size. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and loved their meal. Will definitely be back.

A group of us went to Millside Cloughmills on Sunday night I would like to say...." What A Night" comes to mind..... From arriving to leaving it was fabulous... Visited the restaurant and proceeded to get food poisoning that night and become that ill i had to go to hospital in an ambulance. When i contacted the company i got nothing but bad manners.

Really delighted with their takeaway menu and it's really good value for money.. If I lived in cloughmills I wouldn't be starting cooking I would be getting the food to takeaway.

The attention you get from the front of house and all service is only surpassed by the quality of food offered So good and never disappointed This is one stop everyone should make if travelling up to North Antrim just off main dual carriage way in Cloughmills

Went over to Millside Cloughmills for breakfast today, have to say we were very impressed. First class breakfast, very good service, will definitely be back.

Just left this restaurant the food was absolutely delicious four of us got all different dishes and not one of them disappointed food was hot well presented delicious to eat would definitely recommend and will be back!!

My girlfriend got a chicken dish and the chicken was cooked but cold. My beef was tough. They didn’t charge us for the chicken dish.

Visited with family - children to great grandparents. Service was great and really accommodating to a dairy allergy - several options even though we didn’t pre book which is what they recommend.

Waited over an hour for food to arrive. Not overly busy so no excuse for this. Kids absolutely starving by then. Order not correct. Wrong pizza so one member had to wait for food while correct order was prepared. Pitta bread served with curry and no apology for this!! Curry definitely not made from scratch-more of a watered down gravy with curry powder added!! Large portions but quality over quality would be preferable. Very disappointed as have eaten there before and food was better.

Apparently it takes a long time to cook sea bass, well that was the EXCUSE we were given for everyone around us getting served before us. There needs to be a serious look at the kitchens organisational skills. If food is going to be slower inform the customer- don’t leave them seething. A very poor celebration for me and my husbands 42nd wedding anniversary and an experience we will definitely not repeat

Me and my husband went to milllside in cloughmills for dinner this evening and as always the food was amazing.the restaurant was packed with diners so we were prepared for a long wait but the food came out pretty quickly and was delicious.we both had fish dishes and a couple of tables beside us also had fish and were all saying how good it was.we had a great meal and met some lovely people.cant wait to return and thanks to the lovely people we had the pleasure of dining beside us.

We recently took family visiting from Donegal here for lunch and the food and service were absolutely fabulous - portions are huge so think carefully if ordering extra sides - we ended up with a huge amount of food and the quality was so good was difficult to stop. The menu itself is massive with a huge selection to choose from so ensure you leave yourself plenty of time for reading that and then decision time is difficult. Would take a while to cover the whole menu but will be willing to return again and again to make an effort.

This was our second visit to The Millside restaurant - an easy to reach venue on the way back home from Portrush, just off the new dual carriageway - and once again we were not disappointed. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and helpful and we were accommodated after arriving without a booking. The extensive menu caters for all tastes (meat, chicken, pizza, pasta, fish, salads, vegetarian etc) and all our meals were delicious - two of our party had steak and chicken, one had sea bass and another had pear, walnut and Gorgonzola cheese salad. The portion sizes were generous and the menu was averagely priced. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again in the very near future.

I have been to The Millside in Cloughmills a few times now. Personally I've always had a nice meal with the exception of my last visit. I will say the service is always very good with friendly and helpful waiting staff. On each visit at least one person has had issue with the quality of the food itself. On my last visit our food was brought out cold and with no sides, we waited 5 mins until I had to ask when the children's side orders where coming and for my meal to be re-heated. The meal was made again and brought out with fresh sides after another 10 minutes but it was so bland and tasteless I left it.

Came across this restaurant when we were out for a drive. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean and most of all food great. Enjoyed.

Millside comes highly recommend so booked again for a special occasion.

We were in the cocktail bar. The service was brilliant; polite, approachable and very helpful. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. We will definately be back.

I visited there recently and wasn’t impressed.

The service was like clockwork from start to finish and the food was spot on . I would recommend the steak it was the best i had tasted!!! The pudding was sticky toffee pudding and it was spot on aswell. They made are night from start to finish

I attended the restaurant at 18.45 on 1st july with family. One of the waitresses knocked the corner of our table and toppled a glass of water which broke and water and glass went over myself and my daughter. She did not apologise and gave me 4 dishclothes to dry myself. I spent the evening trying to eat my meal wet through. As we are regular customers i think there is a lack of attention to detail and provision of good customer service. The staff seem rushed and under pressure. So disappointed that i did not receive an apology and this was also observed by other customers.

Our first time visiting this lovely place and it won't be our last. The couple we were with had been before and loved it so we couldn't wait to try it, we had a table booked and we were seated immediately so no waiting. It was a busy Saturday night but the staff were excellent and very efficient. The menu is very extensive and I couldn't make my mind up for ages, looking at other diners meals I opted not to have a starter as they were huge portions my other 3 DP did and enjoyed their brie and a bang bang chicken dish. I had sizzling chicken fajitas that were gorgeous. 2 DP had steak combos and I've never seen portion sizes like it in my life, they came with sides to. Your better coming here if you haven't eaten in 2 or 3 days. Hubby had steak pitta and said it was lovely but quite rich. You can bring your own drink so that helps with the drinks tab but honestly it's worth every penny. We couldn't manage desserts but they looked lovely to. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and were always smiling. We cant wait to come back again, thanks for a great evening.

We went here after a hectic day and found a busy restaurant - but the service was first class and we were soon seated and relaxed.

Went on Sunday for lunch, Had the turkey dinner, Perfectly cooked and fast service.. Will definitely be back. 5 star service.

Once again had an excellent meal, excellent choice in menu, service second to none, cocktails, fine wine, food to die for, what more could you ask for. Will definitely return.

We had a working dinner in milllside cloughmills last week and I have to say from all of us the experience was unreal.the food was absolutely delicious from starter to main course and everyone commented on how great there meal was.the service was excellent and the staff so friendly.i must say I was expecting some complaints from someone as they can be hard to please,but happily they all agreed it was beautiful,well done milllside keep doing what you’re doing and we will definitely be back

The service was good as always but I have to be honest and say that the food was not good at all. Trio of meats and turkey and ham dinners were tasteless, dry and blatantly defrosted as opposed to being fresh. Stuffing was uncooked and although most people tried to drown their dinner in gravy to compensate, the gravy was also tasteless. Terrible cranberry sauce also. The roast dinners are just not good at all and massively over valued at £15.95 for two courses.

Very slow service. Veg curry- more like a broth , watery and tasteless. Comically bad. Chicken and noodle - noodles hard Fish cakes - lacked flavour Unnecessarily huge portions. One good thing on the menu- cranberry Brie burger

Lovely place..garlic mushroom starter had 6 big mushrooms..the brie starter was tasty..the peppered sizzling steak and garlic fries were good..the chicken wellington was lovely and we got side of veg to go with it..great feed..big portions..lovely staff and atmosphere..£55 for two 2 courses with wine and and west coast cooler..my only criticism was the card machine..after 3 failures due to poor internet connection we had to go to their chippy round the corner to pay the bill..great place..highly recommend..but get your card machine sorted..

I visited the Millside with friends for the first time. The restaurant was modern, clean and very busy. However, seating is well spaced so we didn't feel crowded.

Restaurant sitting area a bit cold. Tasty food. Good generous portions. service a bit slow. Will definitely go back again.

Was disappointed with Cloughmills Millside in comparison to Gracehill. Only one member of staff on & the poor girl was run of her feet. My partner's meal was lovely but my chicken was overcooked. Maybe just a bad day so would give it another go

When my brother and sister-in-law invited my sister and me to a restaurant in Cloughmills, I had my doubts about finding a decent restaurant there. What a surprise to get my first glimpse of a modern fronted and impressive looking restaurant. The inside was even more impressive and the warm, friendly welcome set the tone for what was to follow. We had well presented and delicious food. There were generous portions so this establishment will appeal particularly to foodies who enjoy a big feed. Two of us had the chicken supreme and the other two the gammon. Both dishes highly recommended. Although the restaurant was busy with pre-Christmas revellers, the food or the service did not suffer.

Didn’t know this place existed until our friends invited us there for a meal. Easy to find, massive menu, parking available and beautiful decor. I had garlic mushrooms for starter and they were delicious and a really large portion. I then had Chicken Maryland for main course, again a really large meal which tasted delicious. I didn’t have a dessert as I was too full but some of the other did and they looked very tasty. The cost was very reasonable for a 3 course meal. Service was really good as well. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back soon.

Family and Friends catchup and we had such a great evening. Couldn't believe how much choice there was on the menu. We all had sizzling meals (steak or chicken in a variety of sauces and all different sides) with one having the sweet and sour chicken. We didn't have to wait ages and the food was plentiful and delicious and hot! Great flavours and good quality meat. We had the house red which was lovely and desserts followed- scrumptious!

this was my 1st visit and was really well worth it , the menu was superb with something to suit everyone. had 4 different meals and all were super , the chips are top drawer , service was also great and everywhere was vey very clean , one small down side is the choice of draught beers , very poor , heverlee which is poor and Guinness

One visit here and I know I don't want to come back. The staff were quite pushy about you ordering quickly but yet you waited ages on your food coming out. When the food did come out it was slightly over cooked because the garlic fries were hard. One of our party had the garlic kiev and we all believed that the garlic should have been inside the kiev not on top of it. Wouldn't be in a hurry back here.

Wir waren zum Abendessen spontan in diesem Restaurant gelandet und wurden weder was das Essen noch was den Service angeht enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich, so dass nicht nur Fans des irisch/englischen auf ihre Kosten kommen, sondern auch Pasta- und Pizza-Liebhaber. Die Preise sind dabei sehr moderat. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten zwei verschiedene 12oz Burger (Vorsicht, die sind wirklich riesig - wer nicht den ganz großen Hunger hat wählt besser die 6oz Variante) und ein Pasta-Gericht, dass zusammen mit einem sehr leckeren Knoblauchbrot (eine Art Pizza, mit Knoblauch und ordentlich Käse überbacken) serviert wurde.

It has been a couple of years since my wife and I ate here and were amazed at the transformation. Modern and comfortable. The menus were very extensive with varieties of all dishes. I had garlic mushrooms to start followed by a Chicken Maryland. Simply delicious and filling. My wife had Bushmills Chicken and she was very impressed. Not an easy thing to do I might add! Two soft drinks and all for £32.00.

We go here a few times in a month, the food is fantastic and so much variety on the menu so no need to feel stuck to one certain meal.

This place is off the beaten track but if you find yourself in the area it is a excellent restaurant. Very friendly stall and excellent choise of local food. The place is very clean and there is parking available.

Why drive to Portrush and have to deal with the queues to get food when you can stop here on route and get excellent food without the hassle.

Come here after being rejected service at Drumadoon “restaurant” and had a great experience. Food was beautifully designed and staff were warm and inviting would stop again

Have eaten from here before and was lovely but very disappointed this week, pizza-burnt base and dry, chips greasy, chicken hard. Not all food ordered delivered either, know you can do better.

Stopped in here for lunch a few weeks ago. Very friendly staff welcomed us and restaurant was very clean. Menu was offered and specials were stated. We were informed of the fish of the day. Menus were of excellent choice to choose from to cater for all needs and wants. staff took order and we were served within less than 10 minutes although restaurant was reasonably busy. Staff ensured we had all we required and that all meals were to our satisfaction. Tables were cleared and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Prices were keen and portions were if anything too large. We left stuffed and would highly recommend it and will return. Excellent food and excellent chef and staff. very welcoming.

Arrived when restaurant was closed and was welcomed by Dolores who could not do enough! Was able to get coffee, a delicious ceasar salad and amazing honeycomb cheesecake! Callie's customer service was excellent too! Highly recommend!!

This afternoon I took my Dad for late lunch... from everything to the surroundings to the food and mostly the staff were all outstanding!

I have been several times to this restaurant and have NEVER been disappointed...I have to say that the staff are soooo friendly and accommodating which makes for the best dining experience... What can I say about the food...EXCELLENT...I had the chicken bang-bang starter..wow! the best..you can also get this as a main meal...however for the main meal a friend and I had the steak and rack of ribs combo...It was incredible! I couldn't finish it all and brought the steak home with me!!! The garlic cream sauce is a must too...delicious... One other of the group got the scampi and I have to say it looked gorgeous and they said it was really enjoyable.. If your in the area, or not! it is worth a visit to this restaurant...

As part of a ladies day out, we stopped in the Millside for our lunch today.

The Millside was recommended by a very helpful man in Bushmills today, he knew we were heading back to Dublin and insisted on us visiting this restaurant.

Stopped off here for breakfast before heading up the North Coast. Staff could not be friendlier and restaurant very pleasant and clean. Food, however, was average at best and very greasy. Large portions were a bit intimidating too. Coffee too weak. Probs won't be back again but wish them all the best

Me and my husband went here to celebrate our ten year anniversary, and we were pleased with the excellent food and service. We especially enjoyed the nachos and we got them made not too spicy. The main meal and dessert was lovely too, as well as being reasonably priced. We didn't feel rushed at all and were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy our meal.

Stopped by on way home and discovered this lovely wee restaurant. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff, great menu selection and really tasty food. Will definitely return

The Millside Restaurant was recommended to us by a family member and we’re so glad we have discovered this hidden gem! The food is freshly prepared and the quality is excellent- the sirloin is definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, it was cooked to perfection. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, food and drinks are reasonably priced. Would highly recommend the Millside & we definitely intend to return soon.

The atmosphere was good the waitress helpful if a little forgetful about the complete order. Four of party ordered ribs - never again. there was hardly any meat on them and what was it was difficult to remove as they were hard and stale. (Heated up under the grill?) Certainly would not order them again if we were to revisit.

Back again , didn't think it could get any better , but now there is a lovely Gin Bar , and renovations to the resturante , and the food just amazing , great portions , flavour , and such a versatile menu . The staff are so attentive , going the extra mile , thanks to all for another lovely experience , will definitely be back !

Beautiful looking restaurant and friendly staff. Extensive menu with such a variety of dishes. My starter was ok but my main was tasteless, swamped in sauce which had no flavour, chicken tough. No seasoning which was a massive let down. I'd rather have quality food and not a massive portion of tasteless food. The fact I left three quarters of my main and no-one enquired if it was ok spoke volumes. I am disappointed as this place came highly recommended and we chose it for a special occasion.

I've eaten in this restaurant a number of times. Well worth going to. Very helpful staff. If what you would like is not on the menu and can be prepared, they will facilitate you. However there is a fantastic selection on the menu. Very good service too. Very pleasant surroundings

Called in for Sunday dinner. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The staff were good and the food was served quick. The food itself was very tasty and hot. There was also a decent selection of alcohol on offer. Well worth the visit and highly recommended.

As a regular I love MillSide I really do, but please please do something with the takeaway. A wait of 40 minutes on a meal that had been ordered 30 minutes earlier isn't really acceptable. The place was busy but there just wasn't any food coming through the hatch. Very disappointed.

We visit this place regularly. We are always greeted with a smile and the staff can't do enough for you. Food is delicious and plentiful. We use this restaurant as our yardstick when judging other places around the country - if it comes close to this place then its very good - problem is though there aren't that many places that do. Ah well, at least we live close to this one that we can enjoy when the occasion arises.

My husband and 2 children visited for lunch, we waited over 40 minutes on mains, the children had what looked like frozen fish fingers and chips so couldn't understand the wait on their dinners, I had vegetable fajitas which was vegetables smothered in sweet chilli sauce, below average and disappointed

Had just visited the rope bridge and had been soaked with summer rain and asked a local girl where to go for food .We where greeted with a big smile and welcome and seated the waitress was friendly and very helpful and efficient the food was piping hot and delicious and plenty of it presented well good price we will be back and send more customers
