I tend to call in here from time to time one of the best eating spots in the area. food is always cooked to a high standard, service is prompt and staff welcoming. while quiet wee Dervock may not be the centre of the universe The Mill Tearoom is a very good reason to stop in the village.

Situated in the village of Dervock, this little cafe attracts visitors from all over Northern Ireland. It is just beside the picturesque bridge over the River Bush, close to Ballymoney, the Dry Arch and leads to Bushmills and the coast. We called in here by chance the weekend of the Big Macmillan Coffee Morning and they were having a fundraiser with a delicious little selection of sandwiches and buns. Served with cups and saucers with very hot tea, we really enjoyed our little high tea and realised we knew some of the locals. They also do great hot meals and we've been here many times over the years. They provide good home cooked local food. A perfect little drop off point.

We enjoyed afternoon tea, and despite losing track of time as we chatted, the lady in the tea room did not ask us to leave!

Have been here a few times now and food is always lovely, staff are very helpful and friendly as are the locals who we always meet, I phoned two days before going to ask if they did mash potato on the menu for my toddler, they said they don't always but asked when I would be there and they would make sure they had some for me, that is customer service!

Mill Tea Room is a lovely little cafe/restaurant centrally located in Dervock with friendly staff and a reasonably priced menu. At our B&B we recommend our customers to visit The Mill Tea Room if our Chef isn't on call for our own breakfasts. Also, located near an ATM, shop/petrol station so that's useful if you're not familiar with the area. Also, does a good Ulster Fry is you're looking to enjoy Northern Ireland's 'National Dish'.

Stopped here a few times with my husband and the kids. We have never been disappointed with any of the food. In fact our 5 year old wanted something that wasn't on the menu, this was absolutely no trouble for the staff. The soup was delicious.

I popped in here with my husband and a friend for lunch while on a recent holiday. The food was of good quality and well cooked - the soup was particularly delicious - and the prices very reasonable. We also found the staff friendly and helpful and would definitely eat here again. We were attracted by the colourful window boxes which gave the appearance of a little country tearoom but it's really a farly basic but very clean cafe.

I have been here several times and have found the food excellent. The only complaint I would have is that the place is freezing in winter. It spoils a nice meal if the room is cold.

If you're into your Ulster Fries - these are as close as they come to being the healthy option! Crisp and dry!Pasta bakes with side salads are possibly a little healthier and here they are a real treat. An extensive menu and everything home baked. The specials are just that - special. Often they are taken from whatever Nigella, James or Darina have tackled on telly a day or two before.Sunday lunch is amazing value and quality - just as good as home.Outside it's easily the most attractice building in the village with floral displays welcoming any passer-by.

I've tried eating in here three times - I'll not be back.Avoid their omelettes: they come burnt or raw and runny.Avoid if you are anything other than a meat eater. This place does not cater for coeliacs or any other dietary need.It does seem very popular with the locals. Apparently their (Ulster) fries are good - but they looked very greasy to me.

We called into this bustling cafe one wet & windy Saturday afternoon. Table service, so we took a seat & looked at the extensive menu- what a choice!!As soona s I'd made my mind up, I would see other peoples' food coming out & change my mind! The specials seemed excellent value, and there were lots of people having gossipy coffee!I settled on a Chicken Fillet burger & garlic fries- which came arranged beautifully with care & attention to detail. The staff apologised for the wait- but there was no length of time to wait!! Especially as everything is fresh! However, I couldn't wait to taste it! The batter was soooo crispy & a thick chicken fillet, smothered in mayo & lettuce was divine! My partner had a creamy chicken pasta bake, with side salad. there was a lovely cheesey crust on top- something which we have found eating out when we go on excursions lacking- probably in an attempt to save money in this current economy....falsely might I add. As we will certainley be back in this place & give it our full recommendation to friends & family. Anyway, I was stuffed, but my partner ordered a piece of warm chocolate fudge cake, with local ice-cream. And asked for a slice to take home!! They are open every day in the week, with Sunday Lunch specials- 1, 2 or 3 courses.Set inside a quaint re-furbished Mill, this Tea Room is positively cosmopolitan in its interior! And the warm, welcoming & friendly staff were just the ticket we needed to leave the "cold" outside. Beautiful features, confortable surroundings & a bustling interior speak volumes for the success of this cafe.Enjoy!!

Took advantage of the govt eat out to help out scheme - lunch for two was only £5.67. Just as plentiful, just as tasty (really good food as normal) and would have been more than well worth full price

Staff always lovely. Food mediocre. Coffee good I got vouchers for my birthday with £40. A payment method but Ground business do not give loyalty point when using the card which is disgraceful. The headoffice of the company never answers any emails. The cakes are sort of designed for the children's palate rather than a sophisticated palate. It takes hours before being served if there are a few people in front of you.

We travel this way occasionally from Larne to Coleraine, seen this establishment and called for a breakfast. The waitress was very quick to take our orders and the breakfast arrived promptly, proceeded by hot tea and warm mugs. Food was excellent, full of flavour, clean, warm and extremely well presented. Surroundings and decor very clean. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Sullen, unhappy waitress. Mismatched cutlery and napkins were almost thrown on the table. The drinks order was wrong. The healthy fry was NOT. Definitely will not visit again. I have given 1 star because the toilet was clean and had hot water.
