We use to visit here on a regular basis when the place first opened and it was mostly run by the owner/blogger.I have many pictures of the delicious meals that were lovingly prepared by the owner.Of late, I have noticed that the same or similar pie, are now much smaller in portion size and not any cheaper, in fact the prices have increased from back then. I did complain to the male manager in charge who couldn't care less. I believe they now use a smaller sized pie pans in diameter.I have before and after pictures for comparative purposes. We no longer visit for this reason.

Have been to the milk shed more times than I can remember, and have to say it’s very rare I will ever come away dissapointed. The cafe is set in a lovely setting with friendly staff and a chilled but not dead atmosphere. The food matches the rest and is always full of flavour and beautifully presented. I believe a lot of the food is fresh and comes from the farm onsite which makes it all the tastier. Whether your catching up with friends, nursing a Sunday hangover or just looking for a quiet place to grab a coffee the milk shed will suit all.

Found The Milk Shed on google as somewhere to stop on route to Birmingham from the south coast for Breakfast. As I was taking my daughter back to University and Breakfast was needed. Lots of parking available along with clean toilets and a great location for The Milk Shed, less than 5 minutes from the A34/M40 junction when heading north. We both had the scrambled eggs with different topping, the bacon was cook crispy as needed and the smoked salmon with a hint of chives was lovely. Gluten free bread was available, and the tea and coffee came in good sized cups/mugs. Will come again and try something different. Well worth the detour from the main road - thank you.

We stopped off on a very long journey home from an overseas holiday as we wanted to avoid pricey junk filled service stations. My husband and daughter had the deep filled cheese pie which came with a very nice salad. They both enjoyed their food immensely. My son had the kids menu tomato pasta and I had scrambled eggs on sour dough toast with roasted tomatoes. I had to send my eggs back as they really weren’t cooked enough for me (personal taste - my husband would have eaten them no problem!) and they happily replaced them for some more well done eggs. We had tea for two and the kids had soft drinks. £45 seemed pricey for what we received, but maybe this is typical for prices down this way? We visit a lot of farm shop establishments where we live (southern Scotland) and they can be a bit pricey. This café is obviously very popular and it was busy - we would have availed ourselves of the home made ice cream which did look lovely, but we had to be on our way - plus at £2.95 per scoop we couldn’t justify the expense.

It appears that the Milkshed is opening on a Thursday evening from 6.30-10pm form"grown up supper" this is going on until the Thursday before xmas but please do check on their Facebook page. We arrived at 6.30 as they don't accept bookings and it quickly filled up. The menu was just right, a couple of starters to choose from, 3 mains a couple of puds and a selection of good quality wine. What more could you ask? It was damn delicious, the menu changes weekly and when we left around 8.15pm there was space becoming available. The price reflects the quality which I think was really good for fresh home cooked food presented beautifully. The mains are approx £10-£12 and a 125 ml wine around £4. Believe me the little shed was really cosy and festive, fresh flowers on the table, twinkle lights and candles.....the ambience was great. It was also beautifully warm. Now as I said this little gem has gone unnoticed by me but I am reliably informed by my sisiter in law that the breakfast is also to die for. Oh and the cakes and the ice cream...........please do check directly for the winter supper nights as the menu changes and times......

The club sandwich is the best we have had, fantastic. The highlight on this trip had to be the cheeseboard though. Stopped off here for a lovely Sunday breakfast - one of the few places we could find that opened before 10, and very glad we chose this place. Lovely cafe area, really nicely done. Everyone's food looked amazing and I think if I had ordered anything else I would have given 5 stars. The only reasons I give 4 is that we ordered the homemade granola to share - this came beautifully presented in a jar with fruit and yogurt, but there was less than a tbsp of actual granola in there. Mostly yogurt and fruit with a few nuts and bits of dried fruit. Tasty but was hoping for more. I also ordered the special of brioche French toast with greek yogurt and caramelised figs. This was lovely and would have been perfect if the figs were warm. They were still nice cold, but warm would make that an amazing meal. My boyfriend very much enjoyed his bacon sandwich, and we saw lots of egg related breakfasts that looked fantastic too. Definitely a great place to go and is clearly popular as was getting busy by the time we left. Ice cream and cakes/cookies looked amazing too! Would recommend.

You could easily miss this place as it's tucked away at the back of an animal food warehouse on a little agricultural estate. One understated sign at the turn off. This is probably a good thing though as the place was packed - they obviously don't need to draw any more attention to themselves. Feeling slightly skeptic alone as we felt we were really entering 'shed' at first, our worries disappeared as we entered the bustling room. There was a real mix of ages in there but a lot of babies and toddlers - obviously a maternity leave hot spot! They were very accommodating, wiping our table down and fetching a high chair quickly. The menu consists of an all day breakfast which is more bacon sarnies and eggs on toast than full English. Lunches included curries, savoury tarts and salads. We ordered a chicken club sandwich and a chorizo crostini. There is a small but varied children's menu. The food really was to die for and the service was friendly. They make ice cream on site and it's worth visiting just for this - delicious!Overall a different place to eat - quick but good quality and very tasty. They cater for allergies well too. A hidden gem. The menu is limited and one of the specials had sold out when we got there so be early! I have recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease and the staff were so accommodating and reassuring of this - they had gluten free bread so I was hardly limited on menu choice at all!!

This place is fantastic. I recently visited with my elderly gran; she isn't very mobile & was concerned about having to stand at the counter to order & pay the bill, however, the staff were so accommodating & bought the card machine to our table for her! The coffee was superb & the scrambled eggs were super yummy! Can't wait to go back!

Nice casual place for a quick bite - nice food, quick service, very good ice cream too. Scrambled eggs a bit underdone for me but that's a personal preference.

We came for homemade ice cream on Sunday afternoon, This is a very nice, relaxing country style cafe, very popular with all sort of people. Not only ice cream but cakes are really nice, too and all staff are very friendly. We didn't have a chance to have lunch this time as we didn't get there before the last order for it, but the menu looks really tasty and love to try next time. Some lunch were sold out, so if you want lunch, better go early before they are sold.

Clearly a popular stop off for cyclists. There is a good selection of delicious ice cream and what looks like a nice menu but only went for ice cream so can't really comment in the food too much.Decent location and quick service despite being busy.

Found this little gem when travelling down south and needed a break. It is literally 2 mins off the A34 just by the M40 junction. Forget the services /Starbucks this little farm cafe knocks spots off them. Organic icecream -loads of different flavours, breakfast and lunches at reasonable prices. children's menu (not a fish finger in sight) blackboard of the days specials.Teas, coffees soft drinks, cakes etc . As the food was being served to other people, it was a case of 'that looks good perhaps I should have had that' over and over again. Staff young and very friendly.Service quick despite the number of customers. Free WiFi -always a bonus. Put OX25 3QL in your satnav now.Can thoroughly recommend I was with my 90+ year old mother and shared the cafe with children, toddlers, teenagers and adults of all ages.

What can I say that hasn't already been said....except keep up the good work. Some places can disappoint on a repeat visit but not the milk shed, fantastic food as previous visits. All piping hot, tasty, well presented and filling. Great coffee too. Look forward to our next visit!

The food is to die for. No chips on the menu at all, just great, wholesome, extremely tasty food. Staff are also extremely helpful. Gets very busy most of the time which in my eyes is always a good sign. I tried it once and have been back many times since.

Delicious lunch with family. My kids loved the scrambled eggs on toast and the side of halloumi (although my 9 year old says you need to add lemon!!) I had a wonderful dish of avocado on toast with bacon! It was delicious! The milkshakes are very pricey so my kids shared one. Lovely ambience although very busy.

I come here a lot, often with my two boys under 4.. we always have great food (usually breakfast items) and the ice cream is really good! Wish they opened up another one slightly closer but it doesn't stop us travelling there when you get such nice food!

If you want to have the most fabulous brunch or lunch come here! Its not very exciting from the outside but its great inside!Has a friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious! I had the daal & flat bread recently - Amazing! Its always busy though I've been moved out of my seat before now with people wanting to sit down! and disabled access isn't the best which when meeting a friend recently who needed better logistics in and out - struggled slightly. But the food I think made up for this hassle and they did acknowledge this needs addressing,.

Limited menu of top class food. Heart dhal, cheesy tart , scrambled egg and mushrooms and salads for veggies. More for meat eaters. Lots of jolly babies eat here. Food is v good, ice cream is excellent. I would have given this a 4 or 4.5, but last 2 visits our plates were very smelly. A dishwasher failure in some way,but not an isolated one..they need a deep clean in there somewhere. And it is a shame no one in the kitchen has noticed. Still if this doesn't bother you, great place to eat. Staff really nice young people.

I have no idea why other reviewers say the service is poor. It's excellent - the service is quick and efficient, there are plenty of staff and they're universally friendly. The food is considerably better than you'd expect from a country cafe in a shed. Delicious salads and good vegetarian mains. We've eaten here three times and will keep returning. The icecream is outstanding- the knickerbocker glory will knock you flat. The only reason I've not award five stars is that sometimes the plates have a bit of a pong from the dishwasher. Easily fixed.

My absolutely favourite place for lunch! Always busy but unfailingly lovely people and seriously tasty and interesting food - the most perfect chicken club sandwich EVER. Get there early'ish, especially in summer, and nab an outside table and soak up the sun and eat homemade ice cream in a variety of flavours, Blood Orange is my personal favourite. Breakfast is delicious too, precisely cooked scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and chunky toast! Strongly recommend a visit, it is also very child friendly and a popular venue for mums to meet up and get a decent coffee and a bite!

Brilliant service and a beautifully clean restaurant even at a busy time. The ice cream was fantastic, our hot food came quickly and looked gorgeous. I've dropped a star as there was way too much vinegar in the hollandaise today - actually made my eyes water! But the rest of the food was great and it didn't impact on our enjoyment of our visit - just fortunate that I love vinegar!

The Milkshed is one of my favourite places to brunch in Oxfordshire. Delicious fresh food, some of the best eggs you will get and friendly staff who are always helpful even when they're rushed off their feet (which seems to be any day we visit over the weekend).Would highly recommend a visit, be prepared to end up spending more than you expect buying food to take home (try the cheesecake brownie) and from the little shop opposite which has some lovely pieces for the home, garden and for gifts.
