Staying within crawling distance at the Little Owl Cottage this was the obvious choice for dinner to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We were treated like a King and Queen from the moment we arrived until the time we left. All the courses including the canapes and petit fours were of exceptional quality and were served in a relaxed manner at our pace. The wines we had complemented the meals particularly the recommended Sherry with the cheese board.

The Corner Bistro

18/06/2019: Visited after many recommendations from friends and wasn’t disappointed. Food was great. Service impeccable. Drinks were lovely. Top marks all round.
18/05/2019: My wife had a big birthday recently so we decided to celebrate with 18 of our friends in the corner Bistro and Braunton, to say that we were a table of 18 the service was absolutely excellent, and as usual the food was to a very high standard. My wife had lobster as a treat, which she suddenly enjoyed, all in all We had a very pleasurable evening, I’m sorry recommend this restaurant if you have not tried it. I do suggest that you book in advance as this is a very popular restaurant in Braunton.

The Black Venus

27/04/2019: We were driving across Exmoor in the afternoon and really fancied a cream tea. On entering the village were saw a sign for cream teas outside a shop so parked but the shop seemed closed. We then noticed the pub, walked up and they were also advertising cream teas so I went in to order while my wife found a table in the adjacent garden.
26/03/2019: Popped in here after a long Exmoor hike. Despite being only 6,00 pm when we arrived, the pub became busy quite rapidly.
