Visited 3 times as we were staying in a cottage in walksworth and each time was excellent so can recommend, husband loved the steak and Ale Pie. Lovely clean pub with large beer garden, only 1 thing we didn't enjoy was the pizza from the pizza shack in the beer garden we asked for pizza with pepperoni and no herbs but they brought it with herbs, tbh it looked like a supermarket pizza he did attempt to eat it but it was awful, I should really have complained but didn't want to upset our grandson Have given good review but would have got excellent if the pizza had been edible

Wow! We just enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Mason's Arms in Warkworth. Probably the best ever steak and ale pie we've ever eaten! Washed down with a couple of pints of brilliantly kept real ales. Absolutely first class service - 100% recommended!

Came here with my nephew for Sunday dinner & really enjoyed it. There was only soup as the choice of starter but it was beautiful. My nephew had the trio & I had the pork all cooked perfect as was the veg & gravy was amazing. We both had pudding brownie & ginger pudding which was 1 of the best sponge puddings I’ve ever tasted.

This Pub serves some of the best pub grub i have ever eaten, welcoming friendly and with nice beers. dog friendly with treats for them, after a long walk was always a welcome sight to see.

Had a fab Sunday lunch with plenty of oroper gravy. Very friendly, dogs and muddy boots were indeed not a problem and both our collies properly relaxed. Doggy menu available. Will be back next time we are up here

Great village pub. Can get busy as you cannot pre book a table but worth the wait for food. Staff always friendly and work very hard...big thanks to Mary for always making us feel so welcome. Menu not massive but does offer Gluten free items which is a plus. I can recommend the fish and chips and the burger

Had the leg of lamb Sunday dinner. Absolutely gorgeous. Very succulent and the veg selection brilliant. There was a doggy menu as well which was fun.

Never had halibut cooked as perfectly I did going here! Service was friendly, but professional and every dish we had was divine. It's a shame we didn't stay to try desserts, but maybe next time!

Just had a very disappointing Sunday lunch here. Arrived at 4 which was 2 hours before food service stopped so wasn't expecting very dry meat, luke warm veg and overdone Yorkshire pudding. Never had a bad meal before but well below standard today. Usually don't bother saying anything when asked if everything was ok by the staff but did this time and all I got was 'oh that's a shame' and they walked off. Won't be bothering to eat here for a while, shame as it used to be good.

After reading reviews decided this was the place to grab a bite to eat on a Friday lunchtime. The characterful pub was lovely and the service warm and welcoming however our hot roast beef sandwiches were a little underwhelming, the beef was ok but the bread was a cheap tasting white roll, although the chips were good.

Service and food are excellent and good value for money. I would have given 5 stars for everything but for the dogs! As we were finishing our food we became surrounded by people with dogs. They whined, jumped on seats and provided an aroma of wet dog! It would be nice to have a dog free area, we are not all dog lovers!

Ate here last night and this afternoon. Excellent food. As a 60 year old I have to say I've just had the best chicken burger ever. Tortilla covered chicken. Superb. Went to this place for lunch on the 16-08-23. Food was fantastic, well presented, generous portions, and good quality ingredients. Staff were very attentive and pleasant, and the pub has great outdoor seating with plenty shaded areas. I would recommend this place, and Warkworth. Visited Warkworth castle afterwards, which had a "Medieval Mischief" event going on, which was great for the kids. And the castle is impressive.

Returned to The Madon arms this year after eating here twice last summer. We were not disappointed and we were relieved that the food was equally as delicious as last year! We had the the trio of meats on a Sunday lunch and it was so good! Followed by the sticky toffee pudding we were well and truly stuffed! The staff work very hard and despite it being extremely busy, still managed to be friendly and efficient! We will definately return here again this week before we go home and will be back again next year.

Well, we're up in the area for a weeks holiday, and after eating at the Masons Arms earlier in the week we simply had to return for more of the steak and ale pie! Also the vegan fish and chips with battered banana blossom was a delightful change from the often served halumi as the fish substitute. Staff extremely friendly and speedy service too. Altogether a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend.
